1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 2The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 3The High Energy X-ray telescope (HE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT) is a broadband X-ray and γ-ray(1-3000 ke V) astronomy satellite. One of its three main telescopes is the High Energy X-ray telescope(HE). The main detector plane of HE comprises 18 Na I(Tl)/Cs I(Na) phoswich detectors, where Na I(Tl) is used as the primary detector to measure ~ 20-250 ke V photons incident from the field of view(FOV) defined by collimators, and Cs I(Na) is used as the active shielding detector to Na I(Tl) by pulse shape discrimination. Additionally, Cs I(Na) is used as an omnidirectional γ-ray monitor. The HE collimators have a diverse FOV,i.e. 1.1°×5.7°(15 units), 5.7°×5.7°(2 units), and blocked(1 unit). Therefore, the combined FOV of HE is approximately5.7°×5.7°. Each HE detector has a diameter of 190 mm resulting in a total geometrical area of approximately 5100 cm2, and the energy resolution is ~15% at 60 ke V. For each recorded X-ray event by HE, the timing accuracy is less than 10 μs and the deadtime is less than 10 μs. HE is used for observing spectra and temporal variability of X-ray sources in the 20-250 ke V band either by pointing observations for known sources or scanning observations to unveil new sources. Additionally, HE is used for monitoring the γ-ray burst in 0.2-3 Me V band. 5The Low Energy X-ray telescope (LE) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Low Energy X-ray telescope(LE) is one of the three main instruments of the Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT). It is equipped with Swept Charge Device(SCD) sensor arrays with a total geometrical area of 384 cm^2 and an energy band from 0.7 to 13 ke V. In order to evaluate the particle induced X-ray background and the cosmic X-ray background simultaneously, LE adopts collimators to define four types of Field Of Views(FOVs), i.e., 1.6°×6°, 4°×6°, 50°-60°×2°-6 oand the blocked ones which block the X-ray by an aluminum cover. LE is constituted of three detector boxes(LEDs) and an electric control box(LEB) and achieves a good energy resolution of 140 e V@5.9 ke V, an excellent time resolution of 0.98 ms, as well as an extremely low pileup(<1%@18000 cts/s). 6Creating a novel herbicide-tolerance OsALS allele using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing显示文摘Weeds and weedy rice plague commercial rice fields in many countries. Developingherbicide-tolerance rice is the most efficient strategy to control weed proliferation. CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing, which generates small InDels and nucleotide substitutions atand around target sites using error-prone non-homologous end joining DNA repairing, hasbeen widely adopted for generation of novel crop germplasm with a wide range of geneticvariation in important agronomic traits. We created a novel herbicide-tolerance allele inrice by targeting the acetolactate synthase (OsALS) gene using CRISPR/Cas9-mediated geneediting. The novel allele (G628W) arose from a G-to-T transversion at position 1882 of OsALSand conferred a high level of herbicide tolerance. Transgene-free progeny carryinghomozygous G628W allele were identified and showed agronomic performance similar tothat of wild-type plants, suggesting that the G628W allele is a valuable resource fordeveloping elite rice varieties with strong herbicide tolerance. To promote use of the G628Wallele and to accelerate introgression and/or pyramiding of the G628W allele with other elitealleles, we developed a DNA marker for the G628W allele that accurately and robustlydistinguished homozygous from heterozygous segregants. 7Application of neural networks for permanent magnet synchronous motor direct torque control显示文摘Neural networks require a lot of training to understand the model of a plant or a process. Issues such as learning speed, stability, and weight convergence remain as areas of research and comparison of many training algorithms. The application of neural networks to control interior permanent magnet synchronous motor using direct torque control (DTC) is discussed. A neural network is used to emulate the state selector of the DTC. The neural networks used are the back-propagation and radial basis function. To reduce the training patterns and increase the execution speed of the training process, the inputs of switching table are converted to digital signals, i.e., one bit represent the flux error, one bit the torque error, and three bits the region of stator flux. Computer simulations of the motor and neural-network system using the two approaches are presented and compared. Discussions about the back-propagation and radial basis function as the most promising training techniques are presented, giving its advantages and disadvantages. 8Intron-targeted gene insertion in rice using CRISPR/Cas9: A case study of the Pi-ta gene显示文摘Intron-targeted gene insertion strategy using CRISPR/Cas9(clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated Cas9) has been shown to be a potential tool for crop genetic improvement by targeted mutagenesis or gene replacement of an elite allele into widely cultivated rice varieties. The rice blast resistant protein Pi-ta, differs from its susceptible counterpart, pi-ta, by a single amino acid in exon 2. To create new materials resistant to the rice blast disease, we inserted a genomic fragment containing the exon 2 and 3′ untranslated region(3′ UTR) of Pi-ta into intron 1 of pi-ta in rice materials susceptible to rice blast using the intron-targeted insertion strategy. The gene insertion frequency was3.8%. Several novel transgene-free progeny with stably inherited homozygous insert were identified in the T_1 generation, which have been crossed to rice germplasm bearing other resistance gene(R gene) for pyramiding of R genes. 10Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 16Forest Landscape Change and Driving Forces in Nanling National Nature Reserve,Guangdong显示文摘Landscape change and its driving forces are always one of the major issues in landscape ecology. In this paper,we investigated the landscape pattern of Nanling National Nature Reserve using TM data and forest stand map. The paper aims at exploring how and why the landscape changed form 1988 to 2009. The results indicated that: the major landscape types are evergreen broad-leaved forest and coniferous forests,the area ratio of both total more than 80%; area ratio of other landscape types is less than 10%,including mainly mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest,deciduous forest,shrub,other woodland,cultivated land,other land,construction land and water. During the 20 years,evergreen broad-leaved forest landscape has become a large-scale substrate,coniferous forests are interspersed,a small area of mixed coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest patches expands; forest area in the study area changes slightly,the number of blocks increases,the degree of landscape fragmentation increases; forest landscapes change,and are less affected by human activities,which is closely related to the establishment,management and protection of protected areas.LIAO Fangjun CHEN Zhiming 2013Journal of Landscape Research2013,5,Z3:1

18Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view,the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. 19Effect of orthokeratology on precision and agreement assessment of a new sweptsource optical coherence tomography biometer显示文摘Background:To evaluate the effect of orthokeratology on precision of measurements in children using a new swept-source optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)optical biometer(OA-2000),and agreement between its measurements and those provided by the commonly used IOLMaster based on partial coherence interferometry(PCI).Methods:This study recruited fifty-one eyes of 51 normal children(8–16 years).An operator took measurements with the two biometers.Then,a second operator took measurements with the SS-OCT biometer.After orthokeratology was performed for one month,the same operators repeated the same procedures.Axial length(AL),mean keratometry(Km)at 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm diameters(Km2.5 and Km3.0),central corneal thickness(CCT),anterior chamber depth(ACD),lens thickness(LT)and corneal diameter(CD)were analyzed.Results:With the SS-OCT optical biometer,the test-retest repeatability of AL measurements was<0.06 mm.For all parameters,the coefficients of variation were<1.23%and the intraclass correlation coefficients were>0.95.The 95%limits of agreement of difference between the two devices for CD parameter were up to 1.53 mm.After orthokeratology,the fluctuation ranges of difference for Km3.0 measurement was 1.11 times higher than before orthokeratology,while the absolute values of difference for AL,Km2.5,ACD and CD measurements were comparable.Conclusions:Before and after orthokeratology,the SS-OCT biometer showed high repeatability and reproducibility for all measurements.Wearing orthokeratology contact lenses affected the agreement between SS-OCT and PCI biometers for Km3.0 measurements.The CD measurement showed poor agreement between the two devices.Bao Shu Fangjun Bao Giacomo Savini Weicong Lu Ruixue Tu Haisi Chen Benhao Song Qinmei Wang Jinhai Huang 2020Eye and Vision2020,7,1:1
