1ECharts: A declarative framework for rapid construction of web-based visualization显示文摘While there have been a dozen of authoring systems and programming toolkits for visual design and development,users who do not have programming skills,such as data analysts or interface designers,still may feel cumbersome to efficiently implement a web-based visualization.In this paper,we present ECharts,an open-sourced,web-based,cross-platform framework that supports the rapid construction of interactive visualization.The motivation is driven by three goals:easy-touse,rich built-in interactions,and high performance.The kernel of ECharts is a suite of declarative visual design language that customizes built-in chart types.The underlying streaming architecture,together with a high-performance graphics renderer based on HTML5 canvas,enables the high expandability and performance of ECharts.We report the design,implementation,and applications of ECharts with a diverse variety of examples.We compare the utility and performance of ECharts with C3.js,HighCharts,and Chart.js.Results of the experiments demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of our framework.Since the first release in June 2013,ECharts has iterated 63 versions,and attracted over 22,000 star counts and over 1700 related projects in the GitHub.ECharts is regarded as a leading visualization development tool in the world,and ranks the third in the GitHub visualization tab.Deqing Li Honghui Mei Yi Shen Shuang Su Wenli Zhang Junting Wang Ming Zu Wei Chen 2018Visual Informatics2018,2,2:69
2Finite element simulation and experimental test of the wear behavior for self-lubricating spherical plain bearings显示文摘In this study, based on the classical Archard adhesion wear theory, a three-dimensional finite element model was established, with the aim of simulating the failure process of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings in the swinging wear condition. The results show that the self-lubricating spherical plain bearings go through two different stages during the wear process, namely, initial wear stage and stable wear stage. Because the large contact points wear out during the initial wear stage, the maximum contact pressure decreases as the test period increases. The relatively larger wear depth region shows elliptical distribution, and the maximum distribution appears in the central contact area. The wear depth reaches 0.974 mm after swinging 25,000 times. PTFE fibers, which possess a good friction performance but poor abrasion resistance, abundantly exist on the friction surfaces of the fabric liner. Consequently, the friction torque during the initial wear stage is slightly smaller than the friction torque during the stable wear stage; however, the wear rate during the initial wear stage is high. The reliability and effectiveness of the finite element model are verified by experiment. 3Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome-related herbal prescriptions in treatment of malignant tumors显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes and the related herbal prescriptions for malignant tumors (MT). METHODS: A clinical database of the TCM syndromes and the herbal prescriptions in treatment of 136 MT patients were established. The data were then analyzed using cluster and frequency analysis. RESULTS: According to the cluster analysis, the TCM syndromes in MT patients mainly included two patterns: deficiency of both Qi and Yin and internal accumulation of toxic heat. The commonly-prescribed herbs were Huangqi (Astraglus), Nüzhen-zi (Fructus Ligustri Lucidi), Lingzhi (Ganoderma Lucidum), Huaishan (Dioscorea Opposita), Xiakucao (Prunella Vulgaris), and Baihuasheshecao (Herba Hedyotidis). CONCLUSION: Deficiency of Qi and Yin is the primary syndrome of MT, and internal accumulation of toxic heat is the secondary syndrome. 4Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas Exhibit Cell Biological and Molecular Signatures of Fetal Hindbrain-Derived Neural Progenitor Cells显示文摘Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma(DIPG) is the main cause of brain tumor-related death among children.Until now, there is still a lack of effective therapy with prolonged overall survival for this disease. A typical strategy for preclinical cancer research is to find out the molecular differences between tumor tissue and para-tumor normal tissue, in order to identify potential therapeutic targets. Unfortunately, it is impossible to obtain normal tissue for DIPG because of the vital functions of the pons.Here we report the human fetal hindbrain-derived neural progenitor cells(pontine progenitor cells, PPCs) as normal control cells for DIPG. The PPCs not only harbored similar cell biological and molecular signatures as DIPG glioma stem cells, but also had the potential to be immortalized by the DIPG-specific mutation H3 K27 M in vitro. 6sRNAanno-a database repository of uniformly annotated small RNAs in plants显示文摘Small RNAs(sRNAs)are essential regulatory molecules,and there are three major sRNA classes in plants:microRNAs(miRNAs),phased small interfering RNAs(phased siRNAs or phasiRNAs),and heterochromatic siRNAs(hc-siRNAs).Excluding miRNAs,the other two classes are not well annotated or available in public databases for most sequenced plant genomes.We performed a comprehensive sRNA annotation of 143 plant species that have fully sequenced genomes and next-generation sequencing sRNA data publicly available.The results are available via an online repository called sRNAanno(www.plantsRNAs.org).Compared with other public plant sRNA databases,we obtained was much more miRNA annotations,which are more complete and reliable because of the consistent and highly stringent criteria used in our miRNA annotations.sRNAanno also provides free access to genomic information for>22,721 PHAS loci and>22 million hc-siRNA loci annotated from these 143 plant species.Both miRNA and PHAS loci can be easily browsed to view their main features,and a collection of archetypal trans-acting siRNA 3(TAS3)genes were annotated separately for quick access.To facilitate the ease of sRNA annotation,sRNAanno provides free service for sRNA annotations to the community.In summary,the sRNAanno database is a great resource to facilitate genomic and genetic research on plant small RNAs.Chengjie Chen Jiawei Li Junting Feng Bo Liu Lei Feng Xiaoling Yu Guanliang Li Jixian Zhai Blake C.Meyers Rui Xia 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1

8Synthesis and Enhanced Superplasticity of the Zirconia-dispersed Alumina Nanocomposite显示文摘A series of alumina-zirconia composites with various grain sizes were prepared from the nano-sized powders with different agglomerations. Microstructural analysis of the sintered compacts indicates that the as-sintered material is a typical intra/inter granular nanocomposite with uniform distribution of the zirconia grains in the alumina matrix.Superplastic deep drawing test under different conditions demonstrates that dense Al2O3/ZrO2 samples with average grain size of 230 nm can be elongated to a dome height of at least 12 mm at the punch rate of 0.6 mm.min-1at 1400℃. 15Exploration about superior anti-counterfeiting ability of Sm^(3+) doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15) photochromic ceramics:Origin and atomic-scale mechanism显示文摘Reversible luminescence modulation behavior upon the photochromic effect endows the photochromic ceramics with 3reat potential in anti-counterfeiting and data storage applications.Here,Sm^(3+)-doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15) photochromic ceramics exhibit superior anti-counterfeiting ability:good covertness and considerable modulation ratio of luminescent emission intensity after photochromic reaction.The results show that the photochromism originated from oxygen and cation vacancies,which were directly identified by electron paramagnetic resonance and positron annihilation lifetime spectra.Unexpectedly,oxygen vacancies work more effectively than cation vacancies during photochromic reactions.Moreover,the extraordinary anti-counterfeiting ability was attributed to the high energy transfer rate,which was particularly caused by the short mean distance below 1 nm between the Sm^(3+) and vacancies.The work here has provided atomic-scale structural evidence and made a progress in understanding the photochromic origins and mechanism in color-center theory.Shuyao Cao Jiatong Zhu Qian Chen Junting Liu Changying Wu Leilei Li Jie Xu Haixue Yan Feng Gao 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,1:1

18Assessment of the cytotoxic and mutagenic potential of the Jialu River and adjacent groundwater using human-hamster hybrid cells显示文摘The Jialu River in China has been seriously polluted by the direct discharge of industrial and domestic wastewater. The predominant contaminants of the Jialu River and its adjacent groundwater were recently investigated. However, the potential genotoxic impact of polluted water on human health remains to be clarified. Here, we used human–hamster hybrid(A_L) cells, which are sensitive for detecting environmental mutagens. We found that the cytotoxicity and mutagenicity of the groundwater in the Jialu River basin were influenced by the infiltration of the Jialu River. Hydrological periods significantly affected the cytotoxicity, but not the mutagenic potential, of surface and groundwater. Further, the mutagenic potential of groundwater samples located < 1 km from the Jialu River(S_(M-2) water samples) was detected earlier than that of groundwater samples located approximately 20 km from the Jialu River(S_N water samples). Because of high cytotoxicity, the mutagenic potential of water samples from the Jialu River(S_(M-1) water samples) was not significantly enhanced compared with that of untreated controls. To further assess the mutagenic dispersion potential, an artificial neural network model was adopted. The results showed that the highest mutagenic potential of groundwater was observed approximately 10 km from the Jialu River. 19Online search for UAV relay placement for free-space optical communication under shadowing显示文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)relaying is promising to overcome the challenge of signal blockage in free-space optical(FSO)communications for users in dense urban area.Existing works on UAV relay placement are mostly based on simplified line-of-sight(LOS)channel models or probabilistic channel models,and thus fail to capture the actual LOS status of the optical communication link.By contrast,this paper studies three-dimensional(3D)online placement for a UAV to construct relay links to two ground users in deep shadow with LOS guarantees.By analyzing the properties of the UAV relay placement problem,it is found that searching on a plane that approximates the equipotential surface can achieve a good performance and complexity trade-off for a good placement of the UAV relay in 3D.Based on these insights,a two-stage online search algorithm on an equipotential plane(TOSEP)is developed for a special case where the equipotential surface turns out to be an equipotential plane.For the general case,a strategy called gradient projected online search algorithm on an approximated equipotential plane(GOSAEP)is developed,which approximates the equipotential surface with a perpendicular plane using the gradient projection method.Numerical experiments are conducted over a real-world city topology,and it is shown that the GOSAEP achieves over 95%of the performance of the exhaustive 3D search scheme within a 300-m search length.Yuanshuai Zheng Yinjun Wang Junting Chen 2023Intelligent and Converged Networks2023,4,1:0
20TBtools-II: A “one for all, all for one” bioinformatics platform for biological big-data mining显示文摘Since the official release of the stand-alone bioinformatics toolkit TBtools in 2020,its superior functionality in data analysis has been demonstrated by its widespread adoption by many thousands of users and references in more than 5000 academic articles.Now,TBtools is a commonly used tool in biological laboratories.Over the past 3 years,thanks to invaluable feedback and suggestions from numerous users,we have optimized and expanded the functionality of the toolkit,leading to the development of an upgraded version—TBtools-II.In this upgrade,we have incorporated over 100 new features,such as those for comparative genomics analysis,phylogenetic analysis,and data visualization.Meanwhile,to better meet the increasing needs of personalized data analysis,we have launched the plugin mode,which enables users to develop their own plugins and manage their selection,installation,and removal according to individual needs.To date,the plugin store has amassed over 50 plugins,with more than half of them being independently developed and contributed by TBtools users.These plugins offer a range of data analysis options including co-expression network analysis,single-cell data analysis,and bulked segregant analysis sequencing data analysis.Overall,TBtools is now transforming from a stand-alone software to a comprehensive bioinformatics platform of a vibrant and cooperative community in which users are also developers and contributors.By promoting the theme“one for all,all for one”,we believe that TBtools-II will greatly benefit more biological researchers in this big-data era.Chengjie Chen Ya Wu Jiawei Li Xiao Wang Zaohai Zeng Jing Xu Yuanlong Liu Junting Feng Hao Chen Yehua He Rui Xia 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,11:0
