| 1 | Mathematical model of flow characteristic in multi-strand continuous casting tundishes显示文摘In this paper,the subject of mathematical model is a series of math expressions,which is used to calculate different regions volume fraction and analyze flow characterization in multi-strand tundish.But research about mathematical model for multi-strand tundish is few,and so far,there has been no acknowledged math model for multi-strand tundish to describe its flow characteristic.If Sahai s model,which is originally proposed for the case of single-strand tundish(proposed in reference[10],and this model is widely used in the world),is applied to describe flow feature in multi-strand tundish,the calculation results would be unreasonable.Based on the data of water-model experiment results,the sum of each strand s dead region s volume fraction is bigger than 100%,and this obviously doesn t agree with reality;and the value of dead region s volume fraction is calculated to be minus according to mathematical simulation results data in another case.What s more,Sahai s model does not propose the standard of plotting the RTD-curve,and this makes scholars around the world can t achieve consensus of views about plotting RTD-curve.And the model doesn t consider the bypass flow and can t calculate its volume fraction,but bypass flow is critical to tundish metallurgy.And through Sahai s model,the calculation result of plug flow region s volume fraction is also not reasonable,because the model doesn t well describe the essence of plug flow.So these suggest that it is not reliable to apply Sahai s single-strand tundish model to multi-strand tundish case.Then a new model is attempted to propose in this paper for your discussion.In the new model,the standard of plotting RTD curve is definitely proposed,and relative calculation method is also proposed;and the feature of dead region is carefully studied and the model proposes a new method to calculate its volume fraction,and the calculation formula about its volume fraction can be adjustable according the actual demand;what s more,the new model considers the bypass flow and proposes a method to calculate its volume fraction for the first time,and then volume fraction of plug flow region,backmix flow region,dead region and bypass flow can be calculated and obtained at the same time;and this new model can better capture the deviation of reality flow pattern from ideal plug flow pattern,and reffects the feature of plug flow. | Hongwei PAN Shusen CHENG | 2009 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2009,22,4: | 3 |
| 2 | Mathematical simulation of hot metal desulfurization during KR process coupled with an unreacted core model显示文摘A three-dimensional mathematical model was established to predict the multiphase flow,motion and dispersion of desulfurizer particles,and desulfurization of hot metal during the Kanbara reactor(KR)process.The turbulent kinetic energy-turbulent dissipation rate(k-ε)turbulence model,volume-of-fluid multiphase model,discrete-phase model,and unreacted core model for the reaction between the hot metal and particles were coupled.The measured sulfur content of the hot metal with time during the actual KR process was employed to validate the current mathematical model.The distance from the lowest point of the liquid level to the bottom of the ladle decreased from 3170 to2191 mm when the rotation speed increased from 30 to 110 r/min,which had a great effect on the dispersion of desulfurizer particles.The critical rotation speed for the vortex to reach the upper edge of the stirring impeller was 70 r/min when the immersion depth was 1500 mm.The desulfurization rate increased with the increase in the impeller rotation speed,whereas the influence of the immersion depth was relatively small.Formulas for different rotation parameters on the desulfurization rate constant and turbulent energy dissipation rate were proposed to evaluate the variation in sulfur content over time. | Yanyu Zhao Wei Chen Shusen Cheng Lifeng Zhang | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,4: | 2 |

| 4 | Optimization for the structure of BF hearth bottom and the arrangement of thermal couples显示文摘The hearth of “heat transfer method” and the ceramic cup synthetic hearth bottom of “heart isolation method” are two most popular designs for blast furnace (BF). Although there are successful real examples, some disadvantages, for instance large heat loss and high cost, still exist for these designs. According to the theory of heat transfer, based on the calculation of temperature distribution of the hearth bottom, it is elucidated that all brick layers at the hearth bottom may not be considered as the only reason why different structures exhibited different temperature distributions although total heat resistance is the same, and then based on the effect of hot metal and cold water on different temperature distribution ranges, the concepts of “heat resistance” and “cooling enhancement” are put forth. Based on this, the disadvantages and the factors affecting temperature distribution, of the two types of hearth bottoms were illustrated. On the basis of these analyses, a novel structure for BF hearth bottom designing that can easily form “self-protecting” slag layer stably, called “the method of gradient brick layout that has an optimum combination of cooling enhancement and heat resistance” was proposed; it can not only prolong the hearth bottom longevity but also reduce the cost and heat loss. | 15 | SERPINE2 promotes liver cancer metastasis by inhibiting c-Cbl-mediated EGFR ubiquitination and degradation显示文摘Background:Liver cancer is a malignancy with high morbidity and mortality rates.Serpin family E member 2(SERPINE2)has been reported to play a key role in the metastasis of many tumors.In this study,we aimed to investigate the potential mechanism of SERPINE2 in liver cancer metastasis.Methods:The Cancer Genome Atlas database(TCGA),including DNA methy-lation and transcriptome sequencing data,was utilized to identify the crucial oncogene associated with DNA methylation and cancer progression in liver can-cer.Data from the TCGA and RNA sequencing for 94 pairs of liver cancer tissues were used to explore the correlation between SERPINE2 expression and clin-ical parameters of patients.DNA methylation sequencing was used to detect the DNA methylation levels in liver cancer tissues and cells.RNA sequencing,cytokine assays,immunoprecipitation(IP)and mass spectrometry(MS)assays,protein stability assays,and ubiquitination assays were performed to explore the regulatory mechanism of SERPINE2 in liver cancer metastasis.Patient-derived xenografts and tumor organoid models were established to determine the role of SERPINE2 in the treatment of liver cancer using sorafenib.Results:Based on the public database screening,SERPINE2 was identified as a tumor promoter regulated by DNA methylation.SERPINE2 expression was significantly higher in liver cancer tissues and was associated with the dismal prognosis in patients with liver cancer.SERPINE2 promoted liver cancer metas-tasis by enhancing cell pseudopodia formation,cell adhesion,cancer-associated fibroblast activation,extracellular matrix remodeling,and angiogenesis.IP/MS assays confirmed that SERPINE2 activated epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and its downstream signaling pathways by interacting with EGFR.Mechanistically,SERPINE2 inhibited EGFR ubiquitination and maintained its protein stability by competing with the E3 ubiquitin ligase,c-Cbl.Additionally,EGFR was activated in liver cancer cells after sorafenib treatment,and SER-PINE2 knockdown-induced EGFR downregulation significantly enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of sorafenib against liver cancer.Furthermore,we found that SERPINE2 knockdown also had a sensitizing effect on lenvatinib treatment.Conclusions:SERPINE2 promoted liver cancer metastasis by preventing EGFR degradation via c-Cbl-mediated ubiquitination,suggesting that inhibition of the SERPINE2-EGFR axis may be a potential target for liver cancer treatment. | Shiyu Zhang Xing Jia Haojiang Dai Xingxin Zhu Wenfeng Song Suchen Bian Hao Wu Shinuo Chen Yangbo Tang Junran Chen Cheng Jin Mengqiao Zhou Haiyang Xie Shusen Zheng Penghong Song | 2024 | Cancer Communications2024,44,3: | 0 |
