| 1 | Expression of hIGF-I in the silk glands of transgenic silkworms and in transformed silkworm cells显示文摘To express human insulin-like growth factor-I (hIGF-I) in transformed Bombyx mori cultured cells and silk glands, the transgenic vector pigA3GFP-hIGF-ie-neo was constructed with a neomycin resistance gene driven by the baculovirus ie-1 promoter, and with the hIGF-I gene under the control of the silkworm sericin promoter Ser-1. The stably transformed BmN cells expressing hIGF-I were selected by using the antibiotic G418 at a final concentration of 700-800 μg/mL after the BmN cells were transfected with the piggyBac vector and the helper plasmid. The specific band of hIGF-I was detected in the transformed cells by Western blot. The expression level of hIGF-I, determined by ELISA, was about 7800 pg in 5×105 cells. Analysis of the chromosomal insertion sites by inverse PCR showed that exogenous DNA could be inserted into the cell genome randomly or at TTAA target sequence specifically for piggyBac element transposition. The transgenic vector pigA3GFP-hIGF-ie-neo was transferred into the eggs using sperm-mediated gene transfer. Finally, two transgenic silkworms were obtained after screening for the neo and gfp genes and verified by PCR and dot hybridization. | 2 | Graphitic carbon nitride/biochar composite synthesized by a facile ball-milling method for the adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of enrofloxacin显示文摘In order to enhance the removal performance of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4)) on organic pollutant, a simultaneous process of adsorption and photocatalysis was achieved via the compounding of biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4). In this study, g-C_(3)N_(4) was obtained by a condensation reaction of melamine at 550 °C. Then the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites were synthesized by ball milling biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) together, which was considered as a simple, economical, and green strategy. The characterization of resulting g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar suggested that biochar and g-C_(3)N_(4) achieved effective linkage. The adsorption and photocatalytic performance of the composites were evaluated with enrofloxacin(EFA) as a model pollutant. The result showed that all the g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar composites displayed higher adsorption and photocatalytic performance to EFA than that of pure g-C_(3)N_(4). The 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar performed best and removed 45.2% and 81.1% of EFA(10 mg/L) under darkness and light with a dosage of 1 mg/mL, while g-C_(3)N_(4) were 19.0% and 27.3%, respectively. Besides, 50% g-C_(3)N_(4)/biochar showed the highest total organic carbon(TOC) removal efficiency(65.9%). Radical trapping experiments suggested that superoxide radical( ·O_(2)^(-)) and hole(h~+) were the main active species in the photocatalytic process. | 3 | Dominance rank of adult females and mating competition in Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys(Rhinopithecus roxellana)in the Qinling Mountains,China显示文摘Dominance hierarchy reflects resource competition in male primates as well as females.In this study,we collected data on the social rank and mating competition of female Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys from September 2009 to June 2010 in the Qinling Mountains,Shaanxi,China.Displacement was used to determine social hierarchy of the studied wild females.A total of 1223 displacement bouts between adult females and 316 mating behaviors within one-male units(OMUs) were recorded.Competitive displacement among females was very low(0.22 displacements per observation hour).The dominant ranks of females in target OMUs were determined by displacement,from one OMU to another:JB unit:YL > DBC > YCM >XBC > BD;JZT unit:XHW > JG > DT;PK unit:QQ > TM > HF;LP unit:SK > TH > WM.Higher-ranking females performed significantly more sexual behavior than lower-ranking females in this rare monkey.High-ranking females were more likely to win mating contests within those OMUs.Based on these studies,we assessed the social relationships among adult females and clarified possible explanations for the strategies of female mating competition in the OMUs.Furthermore,the notion that reproductive success may also be related to female dominance hierarchies in this polygynous species should be considered in future research. | HE HaiXia ZHAO HaiTao QI XiaoGuang WANG XiaoWei GUO SongTao JI WeiHong WANG ChengLiang WEI Wei LI BaoGuo | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,17: | 5 |
| 4 | Non-destructive Measurement of Magnetic Properties of Claw Pole显示文摘The magnetic properties of the claw pole have a direct effect on the output power of a generator Many methods can be used to measure these magnetic properties,each with its own advantages,but an important shortcoming is that all are destructive.In this study,a new non-destructive method to measure the magnetic properties of claw pole was proposed and a corresponding testing set-up was designed.A finite-element model was constructed to simulate the measurement process.Results proved that the measured magnetization-like curves had good agreement with the trend of the input magnetic curves and the effect of the positioning error in the measuring process could be neglected.To further validate the new method,seven types of claw poles of different materials subjected to different heat-treatment processes were forged and tested by both the new method and the conventional ring-sample method.Compared with the latter,the new method showed better consistency,relatively higher accuracy,and much stronger stability of measurement results;however,its sensitivity needs to be improved.The effects of material compositions and heat-treatment parameters on the magnetic properties of the claw pole were briefly analyzed. | Chengliang Hu Xuejiao Bai Minjun Tang Xiaofeng Tang Zhen Zhao | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2019,32,5: | 2 |
| 5 | Multi-class 12-lead ECG automatic diagnosis based on a novel subdomain adaptive deep network显示文摘Arrhythmia is a common type of cardiovascular disease,which has become the leading cause of global deaths.Recently,the automatic 12-lead ECG diagnosis system based on numerous labelled data has attracted increasing attention.However,labelling 12-lead ECG recordings is a complex and time-consuming task for clinicians.And then,the existence of data distribution differences limits the direct cross domain use of the trained model.Enlighted by subdomain adaptation methods,this paper designs a novel subdomain adaptative deep network(SADN)for excavating diagnosis knowledge from source domain datasets.Firstly,the convolutional layer,residual blocks and SE-Residual blocks are utilized for extracting meaningful deep features automatically.Additionally,the feature classifier uses these deep features for obtaining the final diagnosis predictions.Further,designing a novel loss function with local maximum mean discrepancy is utilized for restricting data distribution discrepancy from different datasets.Finally,the Clinical Outcomes in Digital ECG and 1st China Physiological Signal Challenge datasets are utilized for evaluating the superiority of SADN,which presents that SADN enhances algorithm performance on the unlabelled target domain dataset.Further,compared with the existing methods,the proposed network structure acquires better performance with a F1-macro of 89.43%and a F1-macro1 of 87.09%.Besides,among the 4 kinds of ECG abnormalities,the diagnostic effect of the SADN is better than that of cardiology residents.Thus,SADN has promising potential as an auxiliary diagnostic tool for the clinical environment. | JIN YanRui LI ZhiYuan LIU YunQing LIU JinLei QIN Chengjin ZHAO LiQun LIU ChengLiang | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,11: | 2 |

| 14 | Partially coherent vortex beams:Fundamentals and applications显示文摘It has been over 30 years since the concept of optical vortices was first proposed by Coullet et al.in 1989,and the field of structured beams has grown extremely.In the last two decades,partially coherent vortex beams(PCVBs)have received increasing interest in the fields of optical manipulation,optical communication,optical imaging,etc.,and great progress has been made in the area of the coherence singularities,generation methods,topological charge measurements,and promising applications of PCVBs.In this review,we firstly outline the basic concepts of PCVBs.We explicate the relationship between the coherence vortices and optical vortices,and the evolution behavior of optical vortices to coherence vortices is summarized in detail.We discuss a special form of coherence singularity,ring dislocation,mathematically and physically.The ring dislocation in the correlation functions under low coherence is dependent on the mode indices,which provide a feasible approach to measure mode indices of PCVBs.Subsequently,we summarize the various methods for measuring the topological charge of PCVBs,highlight the measurement method based on the cross-correlation function,and a physical explanation on the relation between ring dislocation and topological charge is given.After that,we review the recent advances on experimental generation of several kinds of PCVBs.Lastly,we give an overview on the potential applications of PCVBs. | Miao Dong ChengLiang Zhao YangJian Cai YuanJie Yang | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,2: | 1 |
| 15 | Design criteria for tetradentate phenanthroline-derived heterocyclic ligands to separate Am(Ⅲ) from Eu(Ⅲ)显示文摘To design novel phenanthroline-derived soft ligands for selectively separating minor actinides from lanthanides, four tetradentate phenanthroline-derived heterocyclic ligands(BTPhen, BPyPhen, BPzPhen, and BBizPhen) were constructed and their complexation behaviors with Am(ⅡI) and Eu(ⅡI) were systematically investigated by density functional theory(DFT) coupled with relativistic small-core pseudopotential. In all the 1:1-type species, the metal ion is in the center of the cavity and coordinates with two nitrogen atoms(N1 and N1′) of the phenanthroline skeleton and the other two nitrogen atoms(N2 and N2′) of the auxiliary groups. The bond lengths of Am–N are comparable to or even shorter than those of Eu–N bonds because the ionic radii of Am(ⅡI) are larger than those of Eu(ⅡI). Additionally, the negative ΔΔGAm/Eu value for the reaction of [M(H2O)4-(NO3)3] + L → ML(NO3)3 + 4H2 O indicates that the complexation reaction of Am(ⅡI) is more energetically favorable than that of Eu(ⅡI); this can be considered as an important design criterion to screen phenanthroline-derived ligands for MA(ⅡI) extraction.
