1Isolation and Characterization of Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens L-1 for Biocontrol of Pear Ring Rot显示文摘Considering the heavy losses caused by pear ring rot(Botryosphaeria berengeriana) disease, the potential biocontrol agent against B. berengeriana was isolated and characterized in this work. Bacteria, isolated from pear orchard rhizosphere soil, were screened for the biological control of pear ring rot caused by B. berengeriana. Among them, strain L-1 showed noticeable inhibitory activities against B. berengeriana and six other commonly occurring postharvest pathogens. Molecular methods indicated strain L-1 was Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The potential of strain L-1 as an effective biocontrol agent was further estimated. Results showed strain L-1 could successfully colonize in pear wounds, its colonies reached 142.35 folds on 4 days post inoculation, and maintained at a high level during storage. In addition, strain L-1 caused abnormal hyphae growth of B. berengeriana,and its inhibitory percentage against pear ring rot reached 76.55% in vivo on 11 days post inoculation. Strain L-1 significantly induced the peroxidase(POD) and catalase(CAT) activities and delayed the accumulation of malondialdehyde(MDA) in pears. What's more, strain L-1 did not impair the fruit quality. 2Interference-assisted kaleidoscopic meta-plexer for arbitrary spin-wavefront manipulation显示文摘Achieving simultaneous polarization and wavefront control,especially circular polarization with the auxiliary degree of freedom of light and spin angular momentum,is of fundamental importance in many optical applications.Interferences are typically undesirable in highly integrated photonic circuits and metasurfaces.Here,we propose an interference-assisted metasurface-multiplexer(meta-plexer)that counterintuitively exploits constructive and destructive interferences between hybrid meta-atoms and realizes independent spin-selective wavefront manipulation.Such kaleidoscopic meta-plexers are experimentally demonstrated via two types of single-layer spinwavefront multiplexers that are composed of spatially rotated anisotropic meta-atoms.One type generates a spinselective Bessel-beam wavefront for spin-down light and a low scattering cross-section for stealth for spin-up light.The other type demonstrates versatile control of the vortex wavefront,which is also characterized by the orbital angular momentum of light,with frequency-switchable numbers of beams under linearly polarized wave excitation.Our findings offer a distinct interference-assisted concept for realizing advanced multifunctional photonics with arbitrary and independent spin-wavefront features.A variety of applications can be readily anticipated in optical diodes,isolators,and spin-Hall meta-devices without cascading bulky optical elements.He-Xiu Xu Guangwei Hu Ying Li Lei Han Jianlin Zhao Yunming Sun Fang Yuan Guang-Ming Wang Zhi Hao Jiang Xiaohui Ling Tie Jun Cui Cheng-Wei Qiu 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:11

4MXene-coated silk-derived carbon cloth toward flexible electrode for supercapacitor application显示文摘Flexible supercapacitors are promising energy storage devices in wearable smart electronics. Exploring cost-efficient electrodes with high capacitance would promote the wide-scale application of such capacitors. Herein, in order to explore a methodology for preparing low cost, flexible, tough, and up-scalable supercapacitor electrodes, silk textile is directly carbonized to make a conductive free-standing textile substrate. Through mildly baking the surfactant-free Ti_3C_2T_x flakes suspension loaded on the carbonized silk cloth, a uniform and adhesive coating consisting of nanometer-thick Ti_3C_2T_x flakes is well established on the conductive fabric support, forming a MXene-coated flexible textile electrode. The fabricated electrode exhibits a high areal capacitance of 362 m F/cm^2 with excellent cyclability and flexibility. Moreover,capacitance changes neglegibly under the bending deformation mode. 5A de novo Genome of a Chinese Radish Cultivar显示文摘Here, we report a high-quality draft genome of a Chinese radish(Raphanus sativus) cultivar. This draft contains 387.73 Mb of assembled scaffolds, 83.93% of the scaffolds were anchored onto nine pseudochromosomes and 95.09% of 43 240 protein-coding genes were functionally annotated. 184.75 Mb(47.65%) of repeat sequences was identified in the assembled genome. By comparative analyses of the radish genome against 10 other plant genomes, 2 275 genes in 780 gene families were found unique to R. sativus. 6Prognostic implications of epidermal growth factor receptor variant Ⅲ expression and nuclear translocation in Chinese human gliomas显示文摘Objective: To determine the prognostic implications and clinical significance of epidermal growth factor receptor variant Ⅲ(EGFRvⅢ) expression and EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation in Chinese human gliomas.Methods: We retrospectively examined EGFRvⅢ expression and EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation using immunohistochemistry in specimens of 240 Chinese patients with glioma, including 84 World Health Organization(WHO) II gliomas, 84 WHO Ⅲ gliomas and 72 glioblastomas(WHO IV). Factors that correlated with EGFRvⅢ and EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation expression were analyzed by the Chi-square test. Kaplan-Meier methodology and Cox regression were used for the survival analysis.Results: Log-rank tests showed that patient age, Karnofsky performance scale(KPS) score, tumor grade,EGFRvⅢ expression, EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation, 1 p/19 q codeletion, isocitrate dehydrogenase(IDH)mutation, Ki-67 labeling index and O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase(MGMT) status(P<0.05) were significantly correlated with overall survival(OS) time. Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that patient age, tumor grade, EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation, 1 p/19 q codeletion, and IDH mutation(P<0.05) were significantly correlated with OS. Patients with a high level of EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation(≥7%) had both significantly shorter OS [hazard ratio(HR): 1.920, 95% confidence interval(95% CI): 1.228-3.003, P=0.004] and progression-free survival(PFS) times(HR: 1.661, 95% CI: 1.116-2.471, P=0.012) than those with a low level of EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation(<7%).Conclusions: A high level of EGFRvⅢ nuclear translocation in glioma is an independent factor indicating a poor prognosis, but EGFRvⅢ expression is not an independent clinical prognostic factor. 7Molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of acupuncture on neuropathic pain显示文摘Acupuncture has been used to treat neuropathic pain for a long time,but its mechanisms of action remain unknown.In this study,we observed the effects of electroacupuncture and manua acupuncture on neuropathic pain and on ephrin-B/EphB signaling in rats models of chronic constriction injury-induced neuropathic pain.The results showed that manual acupuncture and electroacupuncture significantly reduced mechanical hypersensitivity following chronic constriction injury,especially electroacupuncture treatment.Real-time PCR results revealed that ephrin-B1/B3and EphB1/B2 mRNA expression levels were significantly increased in the spinal dorsal horns of chronic constriction injury rats.Electroacupuncture and manual acupuncture suppressed the high expression of ephrin-B1 mRNA,and elevated EphB3/B4 mRNA expression.Electroacupuncture significantly enhanced the mRNA expression of ephrin-B3 and EphB3/B6 in the dorsal horns of neuropathic pain rats.Western blot results revealed that electroacupuncture in particular,and manual acupuncture,significantly up-regulated ephrin-B3 protein levels in rat spinal dorsal horns The results of this study suggest that acupuncture could activate ephrin-B/EphB signaling in neuropathic pain rats and improve neurological function.Ziyong Ju Huashun Cui Xiaohui Guo Huayuan Yang Jinsen He Ke Wang 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,25:8
8A Hybrid Deep Sea Navigation System of LBL/DR Integration Based on UKF and PSO-SVM显示文摘In order to improve the navigation accuracy of human occupied vehicle(HOV)precisely and efficiently,an innovative hybrid approach based on unscented Kalman filter(UKF)and support vector machine(SVM)is proposed to fuse integrated navigation data.HOV is generally equipped with long baseline(LBL)acoustic positioning system and dead reckoning(DR)as an integrated navigation system.UKF is adopted to estimate the state of the dynamic model because of its good performance in filtering nonlinear problems.An accurate and stable filtering result can be obtained when both LBL and DR are online.At the same time,SVM is utilized to train DR information with the result when LBL outrages,and the particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is employed for SVM parameters optimization.Therefore,the integrated navigation system can maintain a good performance when the LBL is off-line.Simulation results with the real navigation data of Jiaolong HOV show that the methodology proposed here is able to meet the needs of HOV application.LIU Ben LIU Kaizhou WANG Yanyan ZHAO Yang CUI Shengguo WANG Xiaohui 2015机器人2015,37,5:7

11Facile surface modification of mesoporous silica with heterocyclic silanes for efficiently removing arsenic显示文摘Arsenic being one of the most toxic heavy metals has long been a focus of concern due to its gravest threats to human health and environment. Herein, we employ a new method named ring-opening click reaction to synthesize thiol- and amino- bifunctionalized SBA-15 (denoted as bi-SBA-15) for directly remove As(Ⅲ) without preoxidation As(Ⅲ) to As(V) from contaminated water. Quite different from commonly modified with trialkoxysilanes, ring-opening click reaction is substantially faster (0.5–2 h at 25 ℃) and more efficient. The synthesized bi-SBA-15 exhibits excellent adsorption performance of As(Ⅲ) and As(V) in an aqueous solution with a great adsorption capacity (33.70 mg/g and 42.66 mg/g, respectively), a very short equilibrium time (<30 min), which is much faster than those of other adsorbents reported previously. 14Pt immobilized spontaneously on porous MXene/MAX hybrid monolith for hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Designing efficient electrocatalysts with low Pt loadings for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is urgently required for renewable and sustainable energy conversion.Here,we report a strategy that Pt nanoparticulates are spontaneously immobilized on porous MXene/MAX monolith as HER catalysts by utilizing the redox reaction between Ti3C2Tx MXene and[PtCl4]2 in H2 PtCl6 aqueous solution.By taking advantage of homogeneously distributed Pt nanoparticulates on highly electrically conductive porous Ti3C2Tx/Ti3AlC2 monolith,the as-prepared electrocatalysts show high catalytic performance for hydrogen evolution.Specifically,the binder-free electrocatalysts have Pt loadings as low as 8.9μg/cm^2,with low overpotential of 43 mV at a curre nt density of 10 mA/cm^2 and low Tafel slope that three times lower than porous Ti3C2Tx/Ti3AlC2 without Pt loading.This strategy offers a new approach to constructing ultra-low Pt-loading HER catalysts on the basis of in situ redox reaction between noble metal ions and MXenes.Cong Cui Renfei Cheng Chao Zhang Xiaohui Wang 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,4:2

18Isolation and characterization of the GbVIP1 gene and response to Verticillium wilt in cotton and tobacco显示文摘Background: Verticillium wilt is a serious soil-borne vascular disease that causes major losses to upland cotton(Gossypium hirutum L.) worldwidely every year. The protein VIP1(VirE2 interaction protein 1), a bZIP transcription factor, is involved in plant response to many stress conditions, especially pathogenic bacteria. However, its roles in cotton response to Verticillium wilt are poorly understood.Results: The GbVIP1 gene was cloned from resistant sea-island cotton(G. barbadense) cv. Hai 7124. Expression of GbVIP1 was up-regulated by inoculation with Verticillium dahliae and exogenous treatment with ethylene. Results of virus-induced gene silencing suggested that silencing of GbVIP1 weakened cotton resistance to Verticillium wilt. The heterologous expression of GbVIP1 in tobacco showed enhanced resistance to Verticillium wilt. The PR1, PR1-like and HSP70 genes were up-regulated in GbVIP1 transgenic tobacco after Verticillium wilt infection.Conclusion: Our results suggested that GbVIP1 increased plant resistance to Verticillium wilt through up-regulating expressions of PR1, PR1-like, and HSP70. 20Development of low-coherence high-power laser drivers for inertial confinement fusion显示文摘The use of low-coherence light is expected to be one of the effective ways to suppress or even eliminate the laser–plasma instabilities that arise in attempts to achieve inertial confinement fusion.In this paper,a review of low-coherence high-power laser drivers and related key techniques is first presented.Work at typical low-coherence laser facilities,including Gekko XII,PHEBUS,Pharos III,and Kanal-2 is described.The many key techniques that are used in the research and development of low-coherence laser drivers are described and analyzed,including low-coherence source generation,amplification,harmonic conversion,and beam smoothing of low-coherence light.Then,recent progress achieved by our group in research on a broadband low-coherence laser driver is presented.During the development of our low-coherence high-power laser facility,we have proposed and implemented many key techniques for working with low-coherence light,including source generation,efficient amplification and propagation,harmonic conversion,beam smoothing,and precise beam control.Based on a series of technological breakthroughs,a kilojoule low-coherence laser driver named Kunwu with a coherence time of only 300 fs has been built,and the first round of physical experiments has been completed.This high-power laser facility provides not only a demonstration and verification platform for key techniques and system integration of a low-coherence laser driver,but also a new type of experimental platform for research into,for example,high-energy-density physics and,in particular,laser–plasma interactions.Yanqi Gao Yong Cui Lailin Ji Daxing Rao Xiaohui Zhao Fujian Li Dong Liu Wei Feng Lan Xia Jiani Liu Haitao Shi Pengyuan Du Jia Liu Xiaoli Li Tao Wang Tianxiong Zhang Chong Shan Yilin Hua Weixin Ma Xun Sun Xianfeng Chen Xiuguang Huang Jian Zhu Wenbing Pei Zhan Sui Sizu Fu 2020Matter and Radiation at Extremes2020,5,6:1
