3Field trial of an HTS filter system on a CDMA base station显示文摘This paper presents the field trial results of a high temperature superconductor filter system (HTSFS) in a code division multiple access (CDMA) mobile communication base station (BTS) in Tangshan, China. The center frequency of the HTSFS is 830 MHz with 1.4% fractional bandwidth. The noise figure (NF) of the HTSFS, including connectors and cables, is 0.8 dB. The field trial results show that after the HTSFS was installed in the receiver front-end of a CDMA base station, the transmitting power of handset was decreased by 3.1 dB on average. 6FORMATION OF MANGANESE SILICIDE THIN FILMS BY SOLID PHASE REACTION显示文摘Manganese silicide MnSi2-x thin films have been prepared on n-type silicon substrates through solid phase reaction. The heterostructures were analyzed by X-ray diffraction, Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared transmittance spectroscopy and the four-point probe technique. The results show that two manganese silicides have been formed sequentially via the reaction of thin layer Mn with Si substrate at different irradiation annealing stages, i.e., MnSi at 450℃ and MnSi1.73 at 550℃. MnSi1.73 phase exhibits preferred growth after irradiation with infrared. In situ four-point probe measurements of sheet resistance during infrared irradiation annealing show that nucleation of MnSi and phase transformation of MnSi to MnS1.73 occur at 410℃ and 530℃, respectively; the MnSi phase shows metallic behavior, while MnSi1.73 exhibits semiconducting behavior. Characteristic phonon bands of MnSi2-x suicides, which can be used for phase identification along with conventional XRD techniques, have been observed by FTIR spectroscopy.E. Q. Xie, W. W. Wang, N. 82-14 Investigation of the Thermonuclear 18Ne(α, p)21Na Reaction Rate via Resonant Elastic Scattering of 21Na + p显示文摘A nuclear astrophysics experiment was performed at CRIB (CNS low-energy Radioactive-Ion Beam separator)on Mar. 2011. The goal of this experiment is to study the reaction rate of 18Ne(,p)21Na reaction, which mightbe a key breakout reaction from the hot CNO cycle to rp-process in X-ray burst and nova. Yet its reaction rate ispoorly known.Explosive hydrogen burning is thought to be the main source of energy generation and a source of nucleosynthesisin X-ray burst and nova[1;2]. For example, XRBs are characterized by a sudden increase of X-ray emission withinonly a few seconds to a total energy output of about 1040 ergs, which is observed to repeat with some regularity.The recurrence time for single bursts can range from hours to days at the typical temperature of 0.4~2 GK. Thebursts have been interpreted as being generated by thermonuclear runaway on the surface of a neutron star thataccretes H- and He-rich material from a less evolved companion star in a close binary system. 9Exohiss wave enhancement following substorm electron injection in the dayside magnetosphere显示文摘Exohiss is a low-frequency structureless whistler-mode emission potentially contributing to the precipitation loss of radiation belt electrons outside the plasmasphere. Exohiss is usually considered the plasmaspheric hiss leaked out of the dayside plasmapause.However, the evolution of exohiss after the leakage has not been fully understood. Here we report the prompt enhancements of exohiss waves following substorm injections observed by Van Allen Probes. Within several minutes, the energetic electron fluxes around 100 keV were enhanced by up to 5 times, accompanied by an up to 10-time increase of the exohiss wave power. These substorm-injected electrons are shown to produce a new peak of linear growth rate in the exohiss band(< 0.1 f_(ce)). The corresponding path-integrated growth rate of wave power within 10° latitude of the magnetic equatorial plane can reach 13.4, approximately explaining the observed enhancement of exohiss waves.
