1Object-based classification approach for greenhouse mapping using Landsat-8 imagery显示文摘Suburban greenhouses with intensive agricultural productivity have increasingly influenced the daily diet and vegetable supply in Chinese cities.With their enormous input of fertilizers and pesticides,greenhouses have considerably changed the local soil quality and environmental risk factors.The ability to obtain timely and accurate information regarding the spatial distribution of greenhouses could make an important contribution to local agricultural management and soil protection.This paper attempts to present a practical framework for extracting suburban greenhouses,integrating remote sensing data from Landsat-8 and object-oriented classification.Inheritance classification was implemented,and various properties,including texture and neighborhood features in addition to spectral information,were investigated through the popular random forest technique for feature selection prior to SVM classification to improve the mapping accuracy.The results demonstrated that object-based classification incorporating non-spectral features yielded a significant improvement compared with the classification results obtained using only the spectral information in traditional per-pixel classification.Both the producer’s and user’s accuracy were higher than 85%for greenhouse identification.Although it remained a challenge to completely distinguish greenhouses from sparse plants,the final greenhouse map indicated that the proposed object-based classification scheme,providing multiple feature selections and multi-scale analysis,yielded worthwhile information when applied to a continuous series of the freely available Landsat-8 imagery data.Wu Chaofan Deng Jinsong Wang Ke Ma Ligang Amir Reza Shah Tahmassebi 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,1:7
2A draft sequence of the rice (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) genome显示文摘The sequence of the rice genome holds fundamental information for its biology, including physiology, genetics, development, and evolution, as well as information on many beneficial phenotypes of economic significance. Using a 'whole genome shotgun' approach, we have pro-duced a draft rice genome sequence of Oryza sativa ssp. in-dica, the major crop rice subspecies in China and many other regions of Asia. The draft genome sequence is constructed from over 4.3 million successful sequencing traces with an accumulative total length of 2214.9 Mb. The initial assembly of the non-redundant sequences reached 409.76 Mb in length, based on 3.30 million successful sequencing traces with a total length of 1797.4 Mb from an indica variant cultivar 93-11, giving an estimated coverage of 95.29% of the rice genome with an average base accuracy of higher than 99%. 3Fiber Bragg grating monitors for thermal and stress of the composite insulators in transmission lines显示文摘Running composite insulators are prone to failure due to their harsh surrounding work environment, which directly affects the safe operation of transmission lines. This paper puts forward the method of using fiber Bragg grating(FBG) as the monitors to parameters correlated with thermal and stress of the composite insulators in transmission lines at working status. Firstly, monitoring points are found out by the mechanical test on composite insulator samples. Secondly, based on the monitoring theory, this paper introduces the feasibility design frame of the composite insulator with FBG implanted in the rod and the online monitor system. 5Colonization of endophyte Acremonium sp. D212 in Panax notoginseng and rice mediated by auxin and jasmonic acid显示文摘Endophytic fungi can be beneficial to plant growth. However, the molecular mechanisms under-lying colonization of Acremonium spp. remain unclear. In this study, a novel endophytic Acremonium strain was isolated from the buds of Panax notoginseng and named Acremonium sp. D212. The Acremonium sp. D212 could colonize the roots of P. notoginseng, enhance the resistance of P. notoginseng to root rot disease, and promote root growth and saponin bio-synthesis in P. notoginseng. Acremonium sp. D212 could secrete indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and jasmonic acid (JA), and inoculation with the fungus increased the endogenous levels of IAA and JA in P. noto-ginseng. Colonization of the Acremonium sp. D212 in the roots of the rice line Nipponbare was dependent on the concentration of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) (2–15μmol/L) and 1-naphthalenacetic acid (NAA) (10–20μmol/L). Moreover, the roots of the JA signaling-defective coi1-18 mutant were colonized by Acremonium sp. D212 to a lesser degree than those of the wild-type Nipponbare and miR393b-overexpressing lines, and the colonization was res-cued by MeJA but not by NAA. It suggests that the cross-talk between JA signaling and the auxin biosynthetic pathway plays a crucial role in the colonization of Acremonium sp. 7High proportion strontium-doped micro-arc oxidation coatings enhance early osseointegration of titanium in osteoporosis by anti-oxidative stress pathway显示文摘The excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)under osteoporosis precipitates a microenvironment with high levels of oxidative stress(OS).This could significantly interfere with the bioactivity of conventional titanium implants,impeding their early osseointegration with bone.We have prepared a series of strontium(Sr)-doped titanium implants via micro-arc oxidation(MAO)to verify their efficacy and differences in osteoinduction capabilities under normal and osteoporotic(high OS levels)conditions.Apart from the chemical composition,all groups exhibited similar physicochemical properties(morphology,roughness,crystal structure,and wettability).Among the groups,the low Sr group(Sr25%)was more conducive to osteogenesis under normal conditions.In contrast,by increasing the catalase(CAT)/superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity and decreasing ROS levels,the high Sr-doped samples(Sr75% and Sr100%)were superior to Sr25% in inducing osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells and the M2 phenotype polarization of RAW264.7 cells,thus enhancing early osseointegration.Furthermore,the results of both in vitro cell co-culture and in vivo studies also showed that the high Sr-doped samples(especially Sr100%)had positive effects on osteoimmunomodulation under the OS microenvironment.Ultimately,the collated findings indicated that the high proportion Sr-doped MAO coatings were more favorable for osteoporosis patients in implant restorations.Xinkun Shen Kai Fang Kendrick Hii Ru Yie Zixin Zhou Yiding Shen Shuyi Wu Yue Zhu Zhennan Deng Pingping Ma Jianfeng Ma Jinsong Liu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,4:2

10Energy and Parameter Analysis of SOFC System for Hydrogen Production from Methane Steam Reforming显示文摘In this paper, an integrated system of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) and methane steam reforming for hydrogen production is proposed. The mathematical model of the coupled integrated system is studied by COMSOL and Aspen software, and the energy analysis of the integrated system is carried out. The system recovers and reuses the waste heat of the SOFC stack through the heat exchanger, which can realize the cascade efficient use of energy. By adjusting the different reforming temperatures, steam-to-carbon ratio and SOFC operating temperature of methane steam reforming to produce hydrogen, the parameters that have a greater impact on the system are studied. The research results show that as the steam-to-carbon ratio and reformer operating temperature increase, the net output power and efficiency of the system increase. When the fuel cell operating temperature is 800℃, the output power and efficiency of the system reach the maximum values of 899.93 W and 52.52%, respectively. Increasing the operating temperature of SOFC helps to improve the efficiency of fuel cells, but the efficiency of the integrated system of methane steam reforming hydrogen production and SOFC first increases and then decreases. 12Specific generation of nitric oxide in mitochondria of cancer cell for selective oncotherapy显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO)gas therapy,especially,L-arginine(L-Arg)-based NO treatment strategies have attracted extensive attention in the field of oncotherapy.However,current strategies are unable to differentiate well between normal cells and cancer cells,which may lead to unpredictable toxicity.Motivated by the fact that mitochondria of cancer cells can express excessive nitric oxide synthetase(NOS),herein,a nanozyme-based NO generator,cerium oxide(CeO_(2))-AT,is fabricated to specifically catalyze the production of NO in cancer cells for selective tumor treatment.In this system,after being endocytosed into cancer cells,the generator can produce a number of NO under the catalysis of NOS in mitochondria of cancer cells,which can disrupt the mitochondrial respiratory chain of tumor cells and further induce cell apoptosis.In addition,the generator with catalase(CAT)-like activity can catalyze H_(2)O_(2)to produce O_(2),which can promote the generation of NO and improve the performance of NO gas therapy.What is more,our system has no obvious impact on the viability of normal cells owing to the less production of NO.Our work paves a new way for the development of highly selective NO-based treatment particularly useful for the safe and specific cancer therapy.Mengyu Sun Yanjuan Sang Qingqing Deng Zhengwei Liu Jinsong Ren Xiaogang Qu 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1

15Elucidating dominant factors of PO43–, Cd2+ and nitrobenzene removal by biochar: A comparative investigation based on distinguishable biochars显示文摘Biochars produced from crab shell(CSB),oak sawdust(OB),Jeru salem artichoke tuber(JAB) and sorghum grain(SB) displayed distinguishable adsorption-related characteristics,such as specific surface area(SSA),ash content and acidic oxygen-containing functional groups(AFGs),which linked to the biochar adsorption mechanisms of most pollutants.Herein,PO4^3-,Cd^2+,and nitrobenzene(NB) were employed for adsorption by these biochars to elucidate the dominant factors for the adsorption.Adsorption performance of the three pollutants onto these four biochars varied considerably,as exemplified by the excellent adsorption of PO4^3- and Cd^2+ onto CSB(225.3 and 116.0 mg/g,respectively) as compared with onto the other three biochars(4.2-37.1 mg/g for P043-and 9.7-41.0 mg/g for Cd^2+).OB displayed the best adsorption of NB(72.0 mg/g),followed by SB(39.5 mg/g),JAB(31.1 mg/g),and CSB(23.6 mg/g).The kinetics and isotherm adsorption assessments couple with material characterization suggested that the sorption of selected pollutants on biochars was attributed to the multiple mechanisms involved,including coprecipitation,chemical bonds,cation exchange,physical absorption,and complexation.Further path analysis suggested that AFGs and ash content in biochars were more important than SSA with regards to pollutant removal,especially,with ash playing a crucial role in the removal of Cd2+ and PO43-,and AFGs being mainly re s ponsible for NB adsorption.These findings might offer guidance on the preparation or modification of biochar with a targeted function for pollutant removal through an understanding the dominant factors.Zhanglin Liu Dong Tian Fei Shen Lulu Long Yanzong Zhang Gang Yang Yongmei Zeng Jing Zhang Jinsong He Ying Zhu Shihuai Deng 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:0

17Chemical weathering profile in the V–Ti–Fe mine tailings pond:a basalt-weathering analog显示文摘The(ultra-)mafic mine tailings pond revealed a weathering discrepancy in the tailings profile,which provided a valuable analog to assess the role of carbonate and silicate weathering of the basalt.In this study,drill-cores samples were selected from the Wanniangou V–Ti–Fe mine tailings pond(Sichuan province,China)to investigate the mineralogicand geochemical characteristics in the tailings profile.The results reveal(1)the tailings pond profile consist of upper and lower layers.The upper layer is composed of carbonate weathering(1.4%),which was formed in the initial stages of tailings exposure and represented a minimal weathering degree.(2)The lower layer was primarily observed at the aquifer zone of the tailings pond,and was consistent with 0.45%carbonate weathering and 48.4%silicate weathering.(3)The weathering discrepancy in the tailings profile could be due to the sulfide oxidation and aerobic/flowing aquifer,which facilitate the water-tailings reactions.The tailings profile provides an analog to studying basalt weathering,as it spans both carbonate and silicate weathering.This research reinforces the idea that silicate weathering is predominant in basaltic areas and plays a crucial role in regulating atmospheric CO_(2)(carbon dioxide)levels on Earth.Xiaolin Zhang Yinger Deng Liang Tang Zhengmeng Hou Jinsong Yang 2023Acta Geochimica2023,42,6:0

20NR5A2 connects zygotic genome activation to the first lineage segregation in totipotent embryos显示文摘Zygotic genome activation(ZGA)marks the beginning of the embryonic program for a totipotent embryo,which gives rise to the inner cell mass(ICM)where pluripotent epiblast arises,and extraembryonic trophectoderm.However,how ZGA is connected to the first lineage segregation in mammalian embryos remains elusive.Here,we investigated the role of nuclear receptor(NR)transcription factors(TFs),whose motifs are highly enriched and accessible from the 2-cell(2C)to 8-cell(8C)stages in mouse embryos.We found that NR5A2,an NR TF strongly induced upon ZGA,was required for this connection.Upon Nr5a2 knockdown or knockout,embryos developed beyond 2C normally with the zygotic genome largely activated.However,4–8C-specific gene activation was substantially impaired and Nr5a2-deficient embryos subsequently arrested at the morula stage.Genome-wide chromatin binding analysis showed that NR5A2-bound cis-regulatory elements in both 2C and 8C embryos are strongly enriched for B1 elements where its binding motif is embedded.NR5A2 was not required for the global opening of its binding sites in 2C embryos but was essential to the opening of its 8C-specific binding sites.These 8C-specific,but not 2C-specific,binding sites are enriched near genes involved in blastocyst and stem cell regulation,and are often bound by master pluripotency TFs in blastocysts and embryonic stem cells(ESCs).Importantly,NR5A2 regulated key pluripotency genes Nanog and Pou5f1/Oct4,and primitive endoderm regulatory genes including Gata6 among many early ICM genes,as well as key trophectoderm regulatory genes including Tead4 and Gata3 at the 8C stage.By contrast,master pluripotency TFs NANOG,SOX2,and OCT4 targeted both early and late ICM genes in mouse ESCs.Taken together,these data identify NR5A2 as a key regulator in totipotent embryos that bridges ZGA to the first lineage segregation during mouse early development.Fangnong Lai Lijia Li Xiaoyu Hu Bofeng Liu Ziqi Zhu Ling Liu Qiang Fan Huabin Tian Kai Xu Xukun Lu Qing Li Kong Feng Lijuan Wang Zili Lin Hongyu Deng Jinsong Li Wei Xie 2023Cell Research2023,33,12:0
