2Atomic process of oxidative etching in monolayer molybdenum disulfide显示文摘The microscopic process of oxidative etching of two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide(2D MoS_2) at an atomic scale is investigated using a correlative transmission electron microscope(TEM)-etching study.MoS_2 flakes on graphene TEM grids are precisely tracked and characterized by TEM before and after the oxidative etching. This allows us to determine the structural change with an atomic resolution on the edges of the domains, of well-oriented triangular pits and along the grain boundaries. We observe that the etching mostly starts from the open edges, grain boundaries and pre-existing atomic defects.A zigzag Mo edge is assigned as the dominant termination of the triangular pits, and profound terraces and grooves are observed on the etched edges. 3Sand-fixing characteristics of Carex brunnescens and its application with straw checkerboard technique in restoration of degraded alpine meadows显示文摘Carex brunnescens(Pers.), a typical clonal species, is considered to be the only herb found to date that can develop on sand dunes in Maqu alpine region of northwestern China. However, the characteristics that C. brunnescens resists to harsh alpine environment have not been documented. In this study, we conducted a field investigation to determine the morphological, reproductive, and sand-fixing characteristics of C. brunnescens. Concomitantly, we transplanted the belowground rhizomes of C. brunnescens to sand dunes and compared the abilities to restore degraded alpine meadows among sand dunes that had no further treatment(SD+N), sand dunes that had straw checkerboard technique but no transplanted rhizomes of C. brunnescens(SD+SCT), and sand dunes that had both SCT and transplanted rhizomes of C. brunnescens(SD+SCT+P). We found that belowground vertical rhizomes and horizontal rhizomes(including branching rhizomes and main rhizomes) of C. brunnescens were highly developed and that population reproduction was dominated by horizontal rhizomes. C. brunnescens exhibited a significant sand-fixation effect under following conditions: population density was 145–156 ramets/m^2, vegetation cover was 31.2%–39.3%, total length of belowground rhizomes was 11,223 cm/m^2, total length of belowground first-order roots was 9161–10,524 cm/m^2, fresh weight of aboveground part was 198.5–212.6 g/m^2, and fresh weight of belowground part was 578.8–612.4 g/m^2. It should be particularly noted that SD+SCT+P treatment(sand dunes that had both straw checkerboard technique and transplanted rhizomes of C. brunnescens) was the best and SD+N(sand dunes that had no further treatment) was the worst in terms of following biotic indicators: total number of reproductive ramets, total number of belowground rhizomes, and fresh weight of aboveground and belowground parts of C. brunnescens, contents of soil organic carbon, available nitrogen, microbial biomass carbon, and microbial biomass nitrogen. It implies that applying SCT in sand dunes and transplanting belowground rhizomes to sand dunes with SCT could improve both soil fertility and growth of C. brunnescens. 5Application research on the chaos synchro-nization self-maintenance characteristic to secret communication显示文摘Chua's circuit, which is improved to integrate conveniently, is presented. 6Chemotherapy initiation with single-course methotrexate alone or combined with dactinomycin versus multi-course methotrexate for low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia: a multi-centric randomized clinical trial显示文摘We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of single-course initial regimens in patients with low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia(GTN).In this trial (NCT01823315),276 patients were analyzed.Patients were allocated to three initiated regimens:single-course methotrexate(MTX),single-course MTX+dactinomycin(ACTD),and multi-course MTX(control arm).The primary endpoint was the complete remission(CR)rate by initial drug(s).The primary CR rate was 64.4%with multi-course MTX in the control arm.For the single-course MTX arm,the CR rate was 35.8%by one course;it increased to 59.3%after subsequent multi-course MTX,with non-inferiority to the control(difference-5.1%,95%confidence interval(CI)-19.4%to 9.2%,P=0.014).After further treatment with multi-course ACTD,the CR rate(93.3%)was similar to that of the control(95.2%,P=0.577).For the single-course MTX+ACTD arm,the CR rate was 46.7%by one course,which increased to 89.1%after subsequent multi-course,with non-inferiority(difference 24.7%,95%CI 12.8%-36.6%,P<0.001)to the control.It was similar to the CR rate by MTX and further ACTD in the control arm(89.1%vs.95.2%,P=0.135).Four patients experienced recurrence,with no death,during the 2-year follow-up.We demonstrated that chemotherapy initiation with single-course MTX may be an alternative regimen for patients with low-risk GTN.Lili Chen Ling Xi Jie Jiang Rutie Yin Pengpeng Qu Xiuqin Li Xiaoyun Wan Yaxia Chen Dongxiao Hu Yuyan Mao Zimin Pan Xiaodong Cheng Xinyu Wang Qingli Li Danhui Weng Xi Zhang Hong Zhang Quanhong Ping Xiaomei Liu Xing Xie Beihua Kong Ding Ma Weiguo Lu 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,2:2
7Changes of plant species diversity and biomass with reclaimed marshes restoration显示文摘Wetland restoration had been implemented for more than two decades in Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China.To assess the restoration effi ciency of wetland vegetation,we investigated plants composition of community,plant species diversity and aboveground biomass of restored sites in a chronosequence of restoration(1,2,3,6,8,11,15 and 25 years)in the Sanjiang Nature Reserve.As comparison,we also investigated the same factors in a cropland and a natural marsh adjacent to the restored sites.The results showed that wetland plant species can invade quickly after croplands were abandoned when there were suitable hydrology conditions.On the early stage of the restoration,weeds were main plant species in the restored sites.Wetland species appeared at the same time but diff ered from the dominant species from the adjacent natural marshes.Common native wetland species could dominance the community after 3-year restoration.Species richness and diversity increased on the early stage,and then decreased to the similar level of the natural marsh with the extension of restoration.Plant biomass could restore easier than the species composition and diversity.Our results indicated that plant species composition and diversity of abandoned reclaimed wetlands can restore gradually by natural succession in Sanjiang Plain.However,25-year restoration site had similarity index of only 56%with the natural marsh,which revealed that two decades are not enough for complete restoration of vegetation.Xin Jin Xiaoxin Sun Haixing Li Danhui Zhao Dong Li Lei Wang Xiuling Man 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,1:2

12Biological indicators of sub-optimal health status显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate biological indicators of sub-optimal health status and provide means of objective assessment of sub-optimal health status.METHODS:We set the unified standards for diagnosing a SHS.We tested various laboratory indicators in 407 cases that we selected randomly from2807 subjects and collected 15 mL of fasting venous blood from each case.We measured serum immunoglobulin A(IgA)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)concentrations,serum beta endorphins(β-EP),cortisol(C),testosterone(T),plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)and serum T lymphocyte subsets CD3+and CD4+.RESULTS:Mean serum testosterone concentrations and their ratio to cortisol(C)concentrations weresignificantly higher in the healthy group than in those with sub-optimal health status(P<0.01).Mean serum CD3+concentrations were significantly higher in those with sub-optimal health status than in the healthy group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Decreased serum testosterone/cortisol ratio may be an objective indication of sub-optimal health status.Changes in neuroendocrine and immunological indicators may explain some of the symptoms,including malaise and poor work performance,attributable to persistent or relapsing fatigue in subjects with sub-optimal health status.Limin Wang Xin Zhao Jiaxu Chen Xiaoling Guo Xin Liang Danhui Yi Huating Cui Yueyun Liu 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5:1

17Neuroprotective effects of salvianolic acid B on secondary spinal cord damage显示文摘Salvianolic acid B(Sal B),an effective ingredient of Danshen(salvia miltiorrhiza root),has been shown to exhibit anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effects.The present study investigated whether Sal B has a neuroprotective effect on secondary spinal cord injury when administrated alone.In addition,the effects of Sal B on attenuating expression of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) following acute spinal cord injury were analyzed,as well as the effects of combined treatment of Sal B and etanercept.Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated that Sal B significantly reduced matrix metalloproteinase-1 and c-Fos expression at 24 hours after spinal cord injury,and decreased tissue edema was detected using the dry-wet weight method at 3 days after injury.In addition,Sal B significantly promoted recovery of motor function in rats.These effects were most significant at a dose of 20 mg/kg Sal B.At 24 hours after spinal cord injury,reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and western blot assay results showed that Sal B,etanercept,or the combination significantly suppressed increased TNF-α mRNA and protein expression,although the combination resulted in more significant outcomes.These results suggested that Sal B exerted neuroprotective effects against secondary spinal cord injury by reducing expression of matrix metalloproteinase-1,c-Fos,and TNF-α.Moreover,Sal B combined with etanercept resulted in more significant anti-inflammatory effects.Ye, Zhizhong Deng, Yubin Wu, Hongfu Gan, Danhui 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,3:1

20Dynamic properties analysis of a stay cable-damper system in consideration of design and construction factors显示文摘A numerical solution based on the Steffensen stable point iterative method is proposed to resolve the transcendental frequency equation of a stay cable-damper system. The frequency equation, which considers clamped supports and fl exural rigidity of the cable, is intended to investigate the infl uence of the parameters of the cable damper system on its dynamic characteristics. Two factors involved in the design and construction phases, the damping coeffi cient induced by external dampers and the cable tension, are the focus of this study. Their impact on modal frequencies and damping ratios in these two phases of cable-damper systems are investigated by resolving the equation with the proposed solution. It is shown that the damping coeffi cient and cable tension exert more noticeable effects on the modal damping ratios than on the modal frequencies of stay cable-damper systems, and the two factors can serve as design variables in the design phase and as adjustment factors in the construction phase.
