| 1 | The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. | 2 | Chrysanthemum WRKY15-1 promotes resistance to Puccinia horiana Henn. via the salicylic acid signaling pathway显示文摘Chrysanthemum white rust disease,which is caused by the fungus Puccinia horiana Henn.,severely reduces the ornamental quality and yield chrysanthemum.WRKY transcription factors function in the disease-resistance response in a variety of plants;however,it is unclear whether members of this family improve resistance to white rust disease in chrysanthemum.In this study,using PCR,we isolated a WRKY15 homologous gene,CmWRKY15-1,from the resistant chrysanthemum cultivar C029.Real-time quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR)revealed that CmWRKY15-1 exhibited differential expression patterns between the immune cultivar C029 and the susceptible cultivar Jinba upon P.horiana infection.In addition,salicylic acid(SA)treatment strongly induced CmWRKY15-1 expression.Overexpression of CmWRKY15-1 in the chrysanthemum-susceptible cultivar Jinba increased tolerance to P.horiana infection.Conversely,silencing CmWRKY15-1 via RNA interference(RNAi)in C029 increased sensitivity to P.horiana infection.We also determined that P.horiana infection increased both the endogenous SA content and the expression of salicylic acid biosynthesis genes in CmWRKY15-1-overexpressing plants,whereas CmWRKY15-1 RNAi plants exhibited the opposite effects under the same conditions.Finally,the transcript levels of pathogenesis-related(PR)genes involved in the SA pathway were positively associated with CmWRKY15-1 expression levels.Our results demonstrated that CmWRKY15-1 plays an important role in the resistance of chrysanthemum to P.horiana by influencing SA signaling. | Mengmeng Bi Xueying Li Xin Yan Di Liu Ge Gao Pengfang Zhu Hongyu Mao | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 9 |

| 4 | Simulation of dynamic fluid-solid interactions with an improved direct-forcing immersed boundary method显示文摘Dynamic fluid-solid interactions are widely found in chemical engineering,such as in particle-laden flows,which usually contain complex moving boundaries.The immersed boundary method(IBM) is a convenient approach to handle fluid-solid interactions with complex geometries.In this work,Uhlmann's direct-forcing IBM is improved and implemented on a supercomputer with CPU-GPU hybrid architecture.The direct-forcing IBM is modified as follows:the Poisson's equation for pressure is solved before evaluation of the body force,and the force is only distributed to the Cartesian grids inside the immersed boundary.A multidirect forcing scheme is used to evaluate the body force.These modifications result in a divergence-free flow field in the fluid domain and the no-slip boundary condition at the immersed boundary simultaneously.This method is implemented in an explicit finite-difference fractional-step scheme,and validated by 2D simulations of lid-driven cavity flow,Couette flow between two concentric cylinders and flow over a circular cylinder.Finally,the method is used to simulate the sedimentation of two circular particles in a channel.The results agree very well with previous experimental and numerical data,and are more accurate than the conventional direct-forcing method,especially in the vicinity of a moving boundary. | Shengbin Di Wei Ge | 2015 | Particuology2015,13,1: | 6 |
| 5 | Post-Orogenic Tectonic Evolution of the Jiangnan-Xuefeng Orogenic Belt:Insights from Multiple Geochronometric Dating of the Mufushan Massif,South China显示文摘The Mufushan massif, as continental intra-plate magmatites located in the Jiangnan-Xuefeng orogenic belt of the South China. The Mufushan massif constitutes the largest Mesozoic intrusive complex, intruded the Mesoproterozoic Lengjiaxi Formation. Multiple geochronometric dating was used to reconstruct their evolution from emplacement to exhumation. The Mufushan granitoids were emplaced at ~150 Ma(U-Pb zircon) as post-orogenic magmatites contributing to Triassic crustal thickening. Onset of regional extension at ~128 Ma(40Ar/39Ar white mica and biotite) manifests a tectonic regime switch. Intense exhumation prior to ~55 Ma was followed by slow denudation and peneplanation for the next 37 Ma(~55–18 Ma). Accelerated cooling since ~18 Ma may have been caused by a far-field effect of the collision between IndiaAsia Plate or the Pacific-Plate subduction. | 8 | LncRNA C9orf139 can regulate the growth of pancreatic cancer by mediating the miR-663a/Sox12 axis显示文摘BACKGROUND Recent studies have proved the important role of many oncogenic long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs) in the progression of pancreatic cancer, but little is known about the mechanisms of tumor suppression in pancreatic cancer.AIM To evaluate the function of tumor suppressor lncRNA C9orf139 in pancreatic cancer progression and to study the underlying mechanism.METHODS We assigned 54 patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma treated at our hospital to the patient group and 30 normal subjects undergoing physical examination to the control group. RT-qPCR was used to measure the relative expression of C9orf139 in the tissue and serum of patients, in an attempt to investigate the prognostic value of C9orf139 in pancreatic cancer patients. The luciferase reporter gene assay was performed to determine the interaction between C9orf139 and miR-663 a. The biological function of C9orf139 was assessed by in vitro assays and in vivo subcutaneous tumor formation tests in animal models. To figure out the molecular mechanism of C9orf139 to act on miR-663 a/Sox12, RNA pull-down, Western blot assay, RNA immunoprecipitation assay, and co-immunoprecipitation assay were performed.RESULTS C9orf139 level significantly increased in the tissue and serum of patients, which had clinical diagnostic value for pancreatic cancer. Patients with high C9orf139 expression had a higher risk of progressing to stage Ⅲ + Ⅳ, lymph node metastasis, and poor differentiation. Cox regression analysis suggested that C9orf139, tumor-node-metastasis stage, and lymph node metastasis were independent prognostic factors in patients. The underlying mechanism of C9orf139 was that it promoted the growth of pancreatic cancer cells by modulating the miR-663 a/Sox12 axis.CONCLUSION C9orf139 is highly expressed in pancreatic cancer, qualified to be used as a potential diagnostic and prognostic marker for pancreatic cancer. | 10 | Improving forest burn severity estimations with partial least squares regression and orthogonal signal correction methods in Daxing'an Mountains,China显示文摘Several indices and simple empirical models and ratios of single band from pre-and post-fire Landsat images have been developed to estimate and/or map burn severity.However,these models and indices are usually site-,time-and vegetation-dependent and their applications are limited.The Daxing'an Mountains range has the largest forested area in China and is prone to wildfires.Whether or not the existing models can effectively characterize the burn severity over a large region is unclear.In this study,we used the orthogonal signal correction method based on partial least squares regression(PLSR)to select those variables that better interpret the variance of burn severity.A new index and other commonly used indices were used to construct a new,multivariate PLSR model which was compared with the popular single variable models,according to three assessment indices:relative root mean square error(RMSE%),relative bias(R E%)and Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency(NSE%).The results indicate that the multivariate PLSR model performed better than the other single variable models with higher NSE%(68.2%vs.67.8%)and less RE%(3.7%vs.-8.7%),while achieving almost the same R MSE%.We also discuss the spectral characteristics of the four selected variables for constructing the multivariate PLSR model and their correlation with the field burn severity data.The new model developed from this study should help to better understand the patterns of forest burn severity and assist in vegetation restoration efforts in the region. | Cunyong Ju Tijiu Cai Wenhong Li Ge Sun Chengliang Lei Xueying Di Xiuling Man | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3: | 2 |

| 16 | Involvement of the crebellum in sequential finger movement learning:Evidence from functional magnetic resonance imaging显示文摘Whether the cerebellum is involved in volun-tary motor learning or motor performance is the subject of a new debate. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), we examined cerebellar activation in eight volun-teers before and after an extended period of training. Activa-tion volume on both sides of cerebellum after learning was significantly reduced compared to that before learning even under the same motor frequency. Remarkably, while motor frequency for the training sequence was significantly higher than the control sequence after 41 d of learning, activation in the cerebellum for both sequences, with respect to activation loci and volumes, was very similar. These results suggest that the cerebellum was involved in motor learning but not motor performance.
