1Neuroglobin expression in rats after traumatic brain injury显示文摘In this study,we used a rat model of severe closed traumatic brain injury to explore the relationship between neuroglobin,brain injury and neuronal apoptosis.Real-time PCR showed that neuroglobin mRNA expression rapidly increased in the rat cerebral cortex,and peaked at 30 minutes and 48 hours following traumatic brain injury.Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated that neu-roglobin expression increased and remained high 2 hours to 5 days following injury.The rate of in-crease in the apoptosis-related Bax/Bcl-2 ratio greatly decreased between 30 minutes and 1 hour as well as between 48 and 72 hours post injury.Expression of neuroglobin and the anti-apoptotic factor Bcl-2 greatly increased,while that of the proapoptotic factor decreased,in the cerebral cortex post severe closed traumatic brain injury.It suggests that neuroglobin might protect neurons from apoptosis after traumatic injury by regulating Bax/Bcl-2 pathway.Xin Lin Min Li Aijia Shang Yazhuo HU Xiao Yang Ling Ye Suyan Bian ZhongfengWang Dingbiao Zhou 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,25:4

7Specific Data Mining Model of Massive Health Data显示文摘The mining of massive medicine data is one of the most widely problem in our world. However, it’s efficiency and accuracy are still not satisfactory. Many traditional mining algorithms which calculate repeatedly to reduce the dependence between data always ignore the correlation between them. To improve the effect of diagnosis, we extract some special features by conducting a preliminary classification and identification. Then, the specific characteristics of various medical data is mined by correlation mining method. 8Comparison of CT-guided aspiration to key hole craniotomy in the surgical treatment of spontaneous putaminal hemorrhage: a prospective randomized study显示文摘This study was designed to compare the approaches and efficacies of two different ways of neurosurgical management for spontaneous putaminal hemorrhage(SPH):computed tomographic-guided aspiration(CTGA)and the key-hole approach(KHA).The indications of the two approaches are also explored.From September 2001 to 2003,a total of 1077 cases of SPH distributed in 135 hospitals all over the mainland of China were included for analysis.All cases had three-month follow-up data.The study was designed in a single-blinded manner to compare the efficacies of the different approaches.There were 563 cases in the CTGA group,165 in the KHA group,and 217 cases in the conventional open craniotomy(COC)group.In the CTGA and KHA groups,the mortalities at one month after operation(M1m)were 17.9% and 18.3%,respectively,while the mortalities at three months after operation(M3m)were 19.4% and 19.4%,respectively(P>0.05).The postoperative complications due to CTGA(23.7%)were not significantly different from those due to KHA(25.7%)(P=0.420).The M3m of patients with Glasgow coma scale(GCS)h8 was 3.45 and 4.0 times as much as those with GCS>8,respectively.The M3m of patients with complications was 3.92 times as much as those without complications.The M3m of patients with hemorrhage volume ≥70 mL was 2.67 times as much as those<70 mL.The CTGA is not better than KHA in the treatment of SPH in terms of a more favorable outcome or less mor tality and morbidity,but CTGA could be the first choice for those with bleeding volumes ≤50mL,while KHA is the first choice for those with bleeding volumes>50 mL.ZHAO Jizong ZHOU Liangfu ZHOU Dingbiao WANG Renzhi WANG Mei WANG Dejiang WANG Shuo YUAN Ge KANG Shuai JI Nan ZHAO Yuanli MD YE Xun 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,2:0
9Normal values of flash visual evoked potentials in rabbits: Differences between the sexes and the eyes显示文摘BACKGROUND: The wave form, latency and wave amplitude of visual evoked potentials (VEP) are obviously affected by the stimulative parameters, physiological status of the subjects and anesthetics, thus there are greater normal variations and individual differences. The features of flash VEP (F-VEP) are to be observed. OBJECTIVE: To observe and compare the differences of F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes between eyes in rabbits, and investigate the correlation with sex and the side of eyes. DESIGN: A comparative animal experiment. SETTING: Department of Neurosurgery, General Hospital of Chinese PLA. MATERIALS: The experiment was carried out in the neurophysiological laboratory of the Institute of Neurosciences, General Hospital of Chinese PLA from September 2004 to February 2005. Thirty big-ear rabbits of clean degree, 15 males and 15 females, weighing 2.0-2.5 kg, were provided by the animal center of the General Hospital of Chinese PLA. METHODS: Viking-IV perioperative monitor and flash stimulator for special use were applied. The rabbits were anesthetized with intramuscular injection of compound ketamine. The recording electrode was placed at 3 mm anterior to exoccipital tuberosity (onion, Oz), and the reference electrode was placed at the ear edge of the same side. The stimulative frequency was 1.9 Hz, and the amplifier was 50 μV; The range of wave filter was 5 Hz for high pass and 100 Hz for low pass; The average overlapping was 200 times, and the analytical time was 250 ms. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Comparison of F-VEP wave forms; F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes. RESULTS: All the 30 rabbits were involved in the analysis of results. ① Comparison of F-VEP wave forms in rabbits: The F-VEP waves mainly manifested as positive-negative-positive (PNP). The F-VEP manifestations to light stimulations were extremely similar between left and right eyes, and the wave amplitudes of both eyes were obviously increased. ② Determinations of F-VEP latencies and wave amplitudes: There were no significant differences in the latencies and wave amplitudes of F-VEP between the two groups (P > 0.05), the latencies of P1, N1 and P2 waves of left eye were (32.59±2.01), (43.85±4.35) and (66.20±8.13) ms, respectively, and the wave amplitudes of P1, N1 and P2 waves of left eye were (16.45±10.22), (7.93±3.56) and (17.62±8.18) μV. F-VEP latencies were stable with small changes, whereas amplitudes had greater changes. CONCLUSION: ① The latency and wave amplitudes F-VEP were stable with good repetition. ② The latencies and wave amplitudes had no significant differences between males and females, as well as between left and right eyes.
