| 1 | Spatial patterns of ecosystem vulnerability changes during 2001–2011 in the three-river source region of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, China显示文摘The three-river source region(TRSR, including Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers), located in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, China, is a typical alpine zone with apparent ecosystem vulnerability and sensitivity. In this paper, we introduced many interdisciplinary factors, such as landscape pattern indices(Shannon diversity index and Shannon evenness index) and extreme climate factors(number of extreme high temperature days, number of extreme low temperature days, and number of extreme precipitation days), to establish a new model for evaluating the spatial patterns of ecosystem vulnerability changes in the TRSR. The change intensity(CI) of ecosystem vulnerability was also analyzed. The results showed that the established evaluation model was effective and the ecosystem vulnerability in the whole study area was intensive. During the study period of 2001–2011, there was a slight degradation in the eco-environmental quality. The Yellow River source region had the best eco-environmental quality, while the Yangtze River source region had the worst one. In addition, the zones dominated by deserts were the most severely deteriorated areas and the eco-environmental quality of the zones occupied by evergreen coniferous forests showed a better change. Furthermore, the larger the change rates of the climate factors(accumulative temperature of ≥10°C and annual average precipitation) are, the more intensive the CI of ecosystem vulnerability is. | 3 | A spatial geostatistical analysis of impact of land use development on groundwater resources in the Sangong Oasis Region using remote sensing imagery and data显示文摘In this study, the relationship between land use and cover change (LUCC) and variation of groundwater level and quality in the Sangong Oasis Region was investigated using a spatial geostatistical approach. Specifically, interactions among groundwater, surface water, and LUCC were analyzed through the utilization of geographical information system (GIS), remote sensing (RS) Imagery processing, and geostatistics. Study outputs indicated that recharging into the ground-water did not change significantly during the period from 1978 to 1998. However, both LUCC and groundwater level changed substantially in the Sangong Oasis Region, and their variations were closely correlated to each other spatially and temporally over the past two decades. It confirmed that urbanization process and increased industrial activities were the direct reasons of groundwater table descending and the deterioration of water quality. | 4 | Value of Multi-detector CT in Detection of Isolated Spontaneous Superior Mesenteric Artery Dissection显示文摘Objective To investigate the role of multi-detector computed tomography(CT) in the diagnosis and classification of isolated spontaneous superior mesenteric artery dissection(ISSMAD). Methods From July 2012 to December 2016,30 consecutive patients with ISSMAD underwent CT scan at least two times. We retrospectively summarized the clinical characteristics and CT findings of them. The stenosis ratio of true lumen was compared between the patients without bowel ischemia and ones with bowel ischemia. Results There were 5 cases of type I ISSMAD,14 cases of type Ⅱ,1 case of type Ⅲ,7 cases of type Ⅳ and 3 cases of type V. Intestinal ischemia occurred in 5 patients. The stenosis ratio of true lumen in the patients without bowel ischemia was lower than that with bowel ischemia(45.6% vs. 76.0%,t=–14.5,P=0.000). Five patients with intestinal ischemia underwent superior mesenteric artery stenting and others received conservative therapy. The abdominal pain was alleviated for all the patients after treatment. Follow-up was complete in 30 cases. Follow-up CT angiography of superior mesenteric artery showed dissection remodeling in 12 patients. | 5 | Materials Experiment on Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory显示文摘During the China's Tiangong-2(TG-2) flight mission, the experiments of 18 kinds of material samples were conducted in space by using a Multiple Materials Processing Furnace(MMPF) mounted in the orbital module of the TG-2 space laboratory. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. | 9 | Misallocation in Chinese Manufacturing and Services: A Variable Markup Approach显示文摘Cross-country comparison reveals an unusually small service sector in China. Using firm-level data from Chinas 2008 economic census, we find two facts that speak to a novel mechanism of misallocation within service and between manufacturing and service sectors. First, compared with the manufacturing sector, there are more stateowned enterprises and fewer entrants in the service sector. Second, markups increase with firm size, and the increase is more dramatic among service firms. We interpret these facts through the lens of a monopolistic competition model with heterogeneous firms and variable markups. A multisector model shows a new channel that translates asymmetric barriers to entry across sectors into sectoral markup differences, which in turn cause sectoral misallocation. | 10 | Degradation Mechanism of Polyimide Film Under Square Impulse Voltages显示文摘Partial discharge (PD) under a sequence of high-repetition-rate square pulses is one of the key factors leading to premature failure of insulation systems of inverter-fed motors. Polyimide (PI) film is an important type of insulating material used in the inverter-fed motors. In this paper, micro-morphology and structure change of PI film aged by bipolar continuous square impulse voltage (BCSIV) with ampli- tude above partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV) are investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The chemical bonds of PI chain are analyzed through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The results show that the degradation mechanism of PI film is the fracturing of chemical bonds caused by the erosion from PDs. Three layers are displayed in both 100 HN film and 100 CR film. The de- gradation path of PI film is initiated from surface and then gradually extends to the interior with continuous aging. | 11 | Combined application of biochar with fertilizer promotes nitrogen uptake in maize by increasing nitrogen retention in soil显示文摘Combined application of biochar with fertilizers has been used to increase soil fertility and crop yield.However,the coupling mechanisms through which biochar improves crop yield at field scale and the time span over which biochar affects carbon and nitrogen transformation and crop yield are still little known.In this study,a long-term field trial(2013-2019)was performed in brown soil planting maize.Six treatments were designed:CK-control;NPK-application of chemical fertilizers;C1PK-low biochar without nitrogen fertilizer;C1NPK,C_(2)NPK and C_(3)NPK-biochar at 1.5,3 and 6 t ha^(−1),respectively,combined with chemical fertilizers.Results showed that theδ^(15)N value in the topsoil of 0-20 cm layer in the C_(3)NPK treat-ment reached a peak of 291‰at the third year(2018),and demonstrated a peak of 402‰in the NPK treatment in the initial isotope trial in 2016.Synchronously,SOC was not affected until the third to fourth year after biochar addition,and resulted in a significant increase in total N of 2.4 kg N ha^(−1) in 2019 in C_(3)NPK treatment.During the entire experiment,the ^(15)N recovery rates of 74-80%were observed highest in the C_(2)NPK and C_(3)NPK treatments,resulting in an annual increase in yields significantly.The lowest subsoilδ^(15)N values ranged from 66‰to 107‰,and the ^(15)N residual rate would take 70 years for a complete decay to 0.001%in the C_(3)NPK.Our findings suggest that biochar compound fertilizers can increase C stability and N retention in soil and improve N uptake by maize,while the loss of N was minimized.Biochars,therefore,may have an important potential for improving the agroecosystem and ecological balance. | Jing Peng Xiaori Han Na Li Kun Chen Jinfeng Yang Xiumei Zhan Peiyu Luo Ning Liu | 2021 | Biochar2021,3,3: | 1 |

| 14 | An ischemic area-targeting,peroxynitrite-responsive,biomimetic carbon monoxide nanogenerator for preventing myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury显示文摘Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (MI/R) injury is common in patients who undergo revascularization therapy for myocardial infarction, often leading to cardiac dysfunction. Carbon monoxide (CO) has emerged as a therapeutic molecule due to its beneficial properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and mitochondrial biogenesis-promoting properties. However, its clinical application is limited due to uncontrolled release, potential toxicity, and poor targeting efficiency. To address these limitations, a peroxynitrite (ONOO )-triggered CO donor (PCOD585) is utilized to generate a poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based, biomimetic CO nanogenerator (M/PCOD@PLGA) that is coated with the macrophage membrane, which could target to the ischemic area and neutralize proinflammatory cytokines. In the ischemic area, local produced ONOO triggers the continuous release of CO from M/PCOD@PLGA, which efficiently ameliorates MI/R injury by clearing harmful ONOO , attenuating the inflammatory response, inhibiting cardiomyocyte apoptosis, and promoting mitochondrial biogenesis. This study provides a novel insight into the safe therapeutic use of CO for MI/R injury by utilizing a novel CO donor combined with biomimetic technology. Based on two topological descriptors and one quantum chemical descriptor, a significant quantitative structure-property relationship (QSPR) model for the critical micelle concentration (c_ mc) of sodium alkyl benzenesulfonate surfactants was obtained by using the multiple linear regression technique. The good correlation coefficient of R~ 2 (0.980) and cross-validation correlation coefficient R^2_ cv (0.974) indicate the excellent capability and stability of the regression equation developed. | 18 | Long noncoding RNA LINC01088 inhibits esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression by targeting the NPM1-HDM2-p53 axis显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is characterized by extensive metastasis and poor prognosis.Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)have been shown to play important roles in ESCC.However,the specific roles of lncRNAs in ESCC tumorigenesis and metastasis remain largely unknown.Here,we investigate LINC01088 in ESCC.Differentially expressed LINC01088 levels are screened from the GEO database.We find that LINC01088 is expressed at low level in collected clinical samples and is correlated with vascular tumor emboli and poor overall survival time of patients after surgery.LINC01088 inhibits not only ESCC cell migration and invasion in vitro,but also tumorigenesis and metastasis in vivo.Mechanistically,LINC01088 directly interacts with nucleophosmin(NPM1)and increases the expression of NPM1 in the nucleoplasm compared to that in the nucleolar region.LINC01088 decreases mutant p53(mut-p53)expression and rescues the transcriptional activity of p53 by targeting the NPM1-HDM2-p53 axis.LINC01088 may also interfere with the DNA repair function of NPM1 by affecting its translocation.Our results highlight the potential of LINC01088 as a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target of ESCC. | Fan Liang Qiuli Luo Haibo Han Jianzhi Zhang Yue Yang Jinfeng Chen | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,3: | 0 |
| 19 | Pollutant emissions from biomass burning:A review on emission characteristics,environmental impacts,and research perspectives显示文摘Biomass is one most abundant resource on the earth providing important energies in support of so-cioeconomic development in many areas.Burning of biomass fuels comprises to nearly 10%of the total energy from anthropogenic combustion processes:however,as the burning is usually incomplete,this process yields products of incomplete combustion posing consequently significant impacts on air quality,human health,and climate change.Here,we analyzed spatiotemporal characteristics in intentional and unintentional biomass burning from different sectors,discussed impacts of biomass burning emissions on indoor and outdoor air quality,and consequent influences on human health.The global total con-sumption amount of biomass including both natural and anthropogenic sources was approximately 7900 Tg in 2019,with significantly large regional and sectorial discrepancies among regions.Globally,anthropogenic biomass burning amounts increased gradually,but notably in some developing countries like China residential consumption of biomass fuels,as one large sector of biomass use,decreased over time.Uncommercial biomass consumption needs to be accurately quantified.There are relatively rich datasets of pollutant emission factors from biomass burning,including laboratory and field tests,but still large variations exit and contribute substantially to the uncertainty in emission inventory.Global pri-mary PM2.5,black carbon and organic carbon emissions from biomass burning were about 51,4.6,and 29 Tg,respectively,contributing to nearly 70%,55%,and 90%of the total emission from all sources,and emissions from the residential sector and open fires are major sources.Brown carbon emissions from biomass burning attracts growing interests but available studies adopted different methodologies challenging the comparability of those results.Biomass burning emissions polluted not only ambient air but more severely indoor air quality,adversely affecting human health.Future studies that should be emphasized and promoted are suggested. | Ke Jiang Ran Xing Zhihan Luo Wenxuan Huang Fan Yi Yatai Men Nan Zhao Zhaofeng Chang jinfeng Zhao Bo Pan Guofeng shen | 2024 | Particuology2024,85,2: | 0 |
