1Enhanced Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface Assisted mmWave Communication: A Federated Learning显示文摘Reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)has been proposed as a potential solution to improve the coverage and spectrum efficiency for future wireless communication.However,the privacy of users’data is often ignored in previous works,such as the user’s location information during channel estimation.In this paper,we propose a privacy-preserving design paradigm combining federated learning(FL)with RIS in the mmWave communication system.Based on FL,the local models are trained and encrypted using the private data managed on each local device.Following this,a global model is generated by aggregating them at the central server.The optimal model is trained for establishing the mapping function between channel state information(CSI)and RIS’configuration matrix in order to maximize the achievable rate of the received signal.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can effectively approach to the theoretical value generated by centralized machine learning(ML),while protecting user’privacy.Lixin Li Donghui Ma Huan Ren Dawei Wang Xiao Tang Wei Liang Tong Bai 2020China Communications2020,17,10:6
2Comparison of corrosion behavior of ZL104 alloy at as-cast and heat treatment states显示文摘The corrosion behavior of ZL104 alloy at different states(as-cast and heat treatment) in salt spray corrosion (SSC) was studied.The results show that the sample treated after refinement and modifciation has the least corrosive resistance compared with the sample bearing as -cast stucure at the beginning of the corrosion.As the corrosion process continued.however,the trend reversed itself.After 44h continuous corrosion,the corrosive rates of all samples tend to be stable.After experiments,the sample bearing as -cast structure had the most corrosive products on the surface whereas the sample being refined and modified had the least products.The Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) analyses of the corrosion products show that these products are composed of hydroxyl-containing substances.WANG Donghui, ZHENG Yankang, LI ianguo, and BAI BingzheDepartment of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China 2002Rare Metals2002,21,3:4
3Effects of V and Zr Additions on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Nb-Ti-Al-Base Alloys显示文摘Microstructures and mechanical properties of Nb-32Ti-7Al alloys containing different V and Zr contents were investigated. The microstructures were characterized using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The alloy with V and Zr presents single phase Nb solid solution (Nbss). Tensile testing was carried out at room temperature and 1373 K. The results show that these alloys have good ductility at room temperature. 4Positioning taxonomic research for the future显示文摘Why do taxonomists matter? The work of taxonomists is often understated if not completely misunderstood. Without taxonomists, organisms cannot be accurately identified, neither can these organisms be given universally accepted names, and reliably positioned in the phylogenetic tree of life. 5Generation of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells with High Efciency from Human Umbilical Cord Blood Mononuclear Cells显示文摘Human induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs)hold great promise for regenerative medicine.Generating iPSCs from immunologically immature newborn umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells(UCBMCs)is of great signifcance.Here we report generation of human iPSCs with great effciency from UCBMCs using a dox-inducible lentiviral system carrying four Yamanaka factors.We generated these cells by optimizing the existing iPSC induction protocol.The UCBMC-derived iPSCs(UCB-iPSCs)have characteristics that are identical to pluripotent human embryonic stem cells(hESCs).This study highlights the use of UCBMCs to generate highly functional human iPSCs that could accelerate the development of cell-based regenerative therapy for patients suffering from various diseases.Juan Wang Qi Gu Jie Hao Donghui Bai Lei Liu Xiaoyang Zhao Zhonghua Liu Liu Wang Qi Zhou 2013Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2013,11,5:2
6A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 9Efficient elimination and detection of phenolic compounds in juice using laccase mimicking nanozymes显示文摘Residual phenols in the juice can cause turbidity and affect its sensory quality.Laccase is used to remove phenolic compounds from fruit juice s.In order to overcome the shortcomings of natural laccase instability and high cost,in this work,we prepared a laccase mimic enzyme based on copper ion and adenosine monophosphate(AMP-Cu nanozymes).At the same mass concentration(1 mg·ml^(-1)), the catalytic activity of the nanozyme is about 15 times that of laccase.The AMP-Cu nanozymes had a higher V_(max) and a lower Km than laccase.The laccase mimic enzyme had a good stability under the condition of 30-90 ℃ and pH> 6.It also maintained high catalytic activity at high salt concentrations and 9 days storage time.Furthermore,the AMP-Cu nanozyme s maintained an initial catalytic activity of about 80% after six consecutive cycles of reaction.The linear range of detection of phenolic compounds by AMP-Cu nanozymes was 0.1-100 μmol·L^(-1) with a detection limit of 0.033 μmol·L^(-1).The phenol removal rate of AMP-Cu nanozymes was much higher than that of laccase under different reaction times.When the reaction was performed for 5 h,the phenol removal rate of the fruit juice by AMP-Cu nanozymes was about 65%.The efficient removal of phenolic compounds from different juices by AMP-Cu nanozymes indicate s that they have good application prospect in the food juice industry.Hui Huang Lulu Lei Juan Bai Ling Zhang Donghui Song Jingqi Zhao Jiali Li Yongxin Li 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:1

12Satellite remote sensing of atmospheric particulate matter mass concentration:Advances,challenges,and perspectives显示文摘Mapping the mass concentration of near-surface atmospheric particulate matter(PM)using satellite observations has become a popular research niche,leading to the development of a variety of instruments,algorithms,and datasets over the past two decades.In this study,we conducted a holistic review of the major advances and challenges in quantifying PM,with a specific focus on instruments,algorithms,datasets,and modeling methods that have been developed over the past 20 years.The aim of this study is to provide a general guide for future satellite-based PM concentration mapping practices and to better support air quality monitoring and management of environmental health.Specifically,we review the evolution of satellite platforms,sensors,inversion algorithms,and datasets that can be used for monitoring aerosol properties.We then compare various practical methods and techniques that have been used to estimate PM mass concentrations and group them into four primary categories:(1)univariate regression,(2)chemical transport models(CTM),(3)multivariate regression,and(4)empirical physical approaches.Considering the main challenges encountered in PM mapping practices,for example,data gaps and discontinuity,a hybrid method is proposed with the aim of generating PM concentration maps that are both spatially continuous and have high precision.Ying Zhang Zhengqiang Li Kaixu Bai Yuanyuan Wei Yisong Xie Yuanxun Zhang Yang Ou Jason Cohen Yuhuan Zhang Zongren Peng Xingying Zhang Cheng Chen Jin Hong Hua Xu Jie Guang Yang Lv Kaitao Li Donghui Li 2021Fundamental Research2021,1,3:0

14Effects of Si Content and the Addition Amount of Al-3B Master Alloy on the Solidification Structures of Hypoeutectic Al-Si Alloys显示文摘Effects of Si content and the addition amount of Al-3B master alloy on the solidification structures of hypo- eutectic Al-Si alloys were studied. The addition amounts of the master alloy were 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.7% and 1% (mass frac- tion, so as the follows), respectively. The Si content of Al-Si binary alloys investigated varied from 1% to 11%. The ob- servation of macrostructures of non-refined samples showed that 3% Si constitutes a transition point at which the mini- mum grain size can be obtained.
