1Cardinal roles of miRNA in cardiac development and disease显示文摘MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small noncoding RNAs that are emerging as pivotal modulators in virtually all aspects of cardiac biology,from cardiac development to cardiomyocyte survival and hypertrophy.The miRNA profiling,following gain-and loss-of-function studies using in vitro and in vivo models,has identified wide-ranging functions for miRNAs in the heart,providing new perspectives on their contributions to cardiac pathogenesis,and revealing potential therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers.This review summarizes current progress in regulation of miRNAs in heart development and disease.FENG YuLiang YU XiYong 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,12:13

3Crust and upper mantle structures beneath Northeast China from receiver function studies显示文摘P-wave and S-wave receiver function analyses have been performed along a profile consisted of 27broadband seismic stations to image the crustal and upper mantle discontinuities across Northeast China.The results show that the average Moho depth varies from about37 km beneath the Daxing'anling orogenic belt in the west to about 33 km beneath the Songliao Basin,and to about35 km beneath the Changbai mountain region in the east.Our results reveal that the Moho is generally flat beneath the Daxing'anling region and a remarkable Moho offset(about 4 km) exists beneath the basin-mountain boundary,the Daxing'anling-Taihang Gravity Line.Beneath the Tanlu faults zone,which seperates the Songliao Basin and Changbai region,the Moho is uplift and the crustal thickness changes rapidly.We interpret this feature as that the Tanlu faults might deeply penetrate into the upper mantle,and facilitate the mantle upwelling along the faults during the Cenozoic era.The average depth of the lithosphereasthenosphere boundary(LAB) is *80 km along the profile which is thinner than an average thickness of a continental lithosphere.The LAB shows an arc-like shape in the basin,with the shallowest part approximately beneath the center of the basin.The uplift LAB beneath the basin might be related to the extensive lithospheric stretching in theMesozoic.In the mantle transition zone,a structurally complicated 660 km discontinuity with a maximum 35 km depression beneath the Changbai region is observed.The35 km depression is roughly coincident with the location of the stagnant western pacific slab on top of the 660 km discontinuity revealed by the recent P wave tomography.Zhen Guo Yuliang Cao Xianguang Wang Y.John Chen Jieyuan Ning Weiguang He Youcai Tang Yongge Feng 2014Earthquake Science2014,27,3:6
4Hot Working Characteristic of Superaustenitic Stainless Steel 254SMO显示文摘Hot deformation characteristic of superaustenitic stainless steel 254SMO has been studied by isothermal compression testing in the temperature range of 950–1,200 °C and strain rate range of 0.01–10 s-1.The activation energy of 496 kJ/mol was calculated by a hyperbolic-sine type equation over the entire range of strain rates and temperatures.In order to obtain optimum hot working conditions,processing maps consisting of power dissipation map and instability map were constructed at different strains.The power dissipation map exhibits two domains with relatively high efficiencies of power dissipation.The first domain occurs in the temperature range of 990–1,070 °C and the strain rate range of0.01–0.1 s-1.Microstructure observation in this domain indicates the partial dynamic recrystallization(DRX) accompanied with precipitation of tetragonal sigma phase.The second domain occurs in the temperature range of 1,140–1,200 °C and the strain rate range of 0.01–1 s-1with a peak efficiency of power dissipation of 39%,and in this domain,the microstructure observation reveals the full DRX.The instability map shows that flow instability occurs at the temperatures below 1,140 °C and the strain rates above 0.1 s-1.Enxiang Pu Wenjie Zheng Jinzhong Xiang Zhigang Song Han Feng Yuliang Zhu 2014Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,2:6
5Enabling an intrinsically safe and high-energy-density 4.5 V-class Li-ion battery with nonflammable electrolyte显示文摘Developing nonflammable electrolyte with a wide electrochemical window has become an urgent demand for high-energy-density and high-safe lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a fluorinated nonflammable phosphate electrolyte is developed to construct a safe 4.5 V-class LIB(Si-SiC-C/0.35Li2MnO3-0.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2).The proposed fluorinated phosphate electrolyte,0.8 M LiPF6/tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)phosphate(TFEP)+5 vol%fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)+5 vol%vinylene carbonate(VC),is not only completely nonflammable but also exhibits excellent oxidative/reductive stability on 0.35Li2MnO30.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode and Si-SiC-C anode.The in situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proved that TFEP-based electrolyte does not decompose into gases but forms a high-quality electrode-electrolyte interface on cathode surface at high working potential.The 4.5 V-class LIBs using 0.8 M LiPF6 TFEP-based nonflammable electrolyte shed some light on potential application for high-safe and low-cost larger-scale energy storage.Ziqi Zeng Xingwei Liu Xiaoyu Jiang Zhenjie Liu Zhangquan Peng Xiangming Feng Weihua Chen Dingguo Xia Xinping Ai Hanxi Yang Yuliang Cao 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:6
6Mesoporous silica SBA-15 functionalized with phosphonate and amino groups for uranium uptake显示文摘Mesoporous silicas have a very attractive ability of sorption and enrichment of metal ions due to their huge surface area and facile functionalization by organic ligands.In this work,phosphonate-amino bifunctionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15(PA-SBA-15) as U(VI) sorbent was fabricated through post-grafting method.The obtained mesoporous silica was characterized by SEM,XRD,NMR and nitrogen sorption/desorption experiments,which revealed the existence of ordered mesoporous structure with uniform pore diameter and large surface area.The adsorptivity of PA-SBA-15 for U(VI) from aqueous solution was investigated using batch sorption technique under different experimental conditions.The preliminary results show that the U(VI) sorption by PA-SBA-15 is very quick with equilibrium time of less than 1 h,and the U(VI) uptake is as large as 373 mg/g at pH 5.5 under 95 ℃.The sorption isotherm has been successfully modeled by the Langmuir isotherm,suggesting a monolayer homogeneous sorption of U(VI) in PA-SBA-15.The sorption is pH-dependent due to the pH-dependent charge of sorbent in the aqueous solution.The thermodynamics research shows that the sorption is a feasible and endothermic process.Based on these results,PA-SBA-15 could be a promising solid phase sorbent for highly-efficient removal of U(VI) ions from waste water and enrichment of U(VI) from a solution at a very low level.WANG XiaoLiang YUANLiYong WANG YanFei LI ZiJie LIU YaLan FENG YiXiao ZHAO YuLiang CHAI ZhiFang SHI WeiQun 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:6
7In situ observation of C_(60)(C(COOH)_(2))_(2) interacting with living cells using fluorescence microscopy显示文摘The interactions between nanoparticles and living cells were investigated by an imaging technique of fluorescence microscopy. For this pur- pose, the C60 derivative C60(C(COOH)2)2, a thera- peutic agent for degeneration diseases of central nervous system, was synthesized, purified and characterized. Its interaction with the living cell and penetration of the cellular membrane were in situ studied using the real time imaging technique, and its potential cytotoxicity was also examined by flow cy- tometry. The results indicate that C60(C(COOH)2)2 can easily enter cells, and is mainly located in cytoplasm by fluorescein labeling. Furthermore, C60(C(COOH)2)2 can carry the molecule that cannot cross cellular membranes into cells, because fluo- rescein compound itself cannot enter the cell or ad- here to membrane. 8A Four-legged Wall-climbing Robot with Spines and Miniature Setae Array Inspired by Longicorn and Gecko显示文摘In industrial applications,climbing robots are widely used for climbing and detection of rough or smooth pipe surfaces.Inspired by the special claws of longicorn is that can crawl on rough surfaces and the array of tiny bristles of geckos that can crawl on smooth surfaces,a new type of wall-climbing robot for rough or smooth surfaces is proposed in this paper.The bionic palms of the robot are suggested with special bionic hooks inspired by the longicorn and bionic adhesive materials inspired by the gecko with a good performance on adhering on the surfaces.The special bionic hooks are manufactured by the 3D printing method and the bionic adhesive materials are made by the polymer print lithography technology.These two different bionic adhere accessory are used on the robot’s palm to achieve climbing on the different surfaces.This foldable climbing robot can not only bend its own body to accommodate the cylindrical contact surfaces of different diameters,but also crawl on vertical rough and smooth surfaces using their bionic palms.Shiyuan Bian Yuliang Wei Feng Xu Deyi Kong 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,2:4
9Uniform single atomic Cu_(1)-C_(4)sites anchored in graphdiyne for hydroxylation of benzene to phenol显示文摘For single-atom catalysts(SACs),the catalyst supports are not only anchors for single atoms,but also modulators for geometric and electronic structures,which determine their catalytic performance.Selecting an appropriate support to prepare SACs with uniform coordination environments is critical for achieving optimal performance and clarifying the relationship between the structure and the property of SACs.Approaching such a goal is still a significant challenge.Taking advantage of the strong d-πinteraction between Cu atoms and diacetylenic in a graphdiyne(GDY)support,we present an efficient and simple strategy for fabricating Cu single atoms anchored on GDY(Cu_(1)/GDY)with uniform Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites under mild conditions.The Cu atomic structure was confirmed by combining synchrotron radiation X-ray absorption spectroscopy,X-ray photoele ctron spectroscopy and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The as-prepared Cu1/GDY exhibits much higher activity than state-of-the-art SACs in direct benzene oxidation to phenol with H_(2)O_(2)reaction,with turnover frequency values of 251 h^(-1)at room temperature and 1889 h^(-1)at 60℃,respectively.Furthermore,even with a high benzene conversion of86%,high phenol sele ctivity(96%)is maintaine d,which can be ascribed to the hydrophobic and oleophyllic surface nature of Cu1/GDY for benzene adsorption and phenol desorption.Both experiments and DFT calculations indicate that Cu_(1)-C_(4)single sites are more effective at activating H_(2)O_(2)to form Cu=O bonds,which are important active intermediates for benzene oxidation to phenol.Jia Yu Changyan Cao Hongqiang Jin Weiming Chen Qikai Shen Peipei Li Lirong Zheng Feng He Weiguo Song Yuliang Li 2022National Science Review2022,9,9:3
10Advances on Theory and Experiments of the Energy Applications in Graphdiyne显示文摘After years of development,graphdiyne(GDY)has demonstrated the characteristics of transformative materials in many fields and has promoted great progress in fundamental and applied research.In practice,some important new concepts have been proposed,such as natural surface charge distribution inhomogeneity,multicavity space limiting effect,incomplete charge transfer effect on the atomic level,alkyne-alkene conversion of a chemical bond,in situ induction of constrained growth,reversible transition from high to low valence state,and so on.These characteristics originating from the special electronic structure and chemical structure of GDY have rapidly promoted the development of GDY science in recent years and produced many exciting results in fundamental and applied science.Therefore,we systematically introduce the recent theoretical and experimental progress of GDY in terms of its new structural,electronic,mechanical,thermal,and optical properties and its promising applications in the energy fields of membrane sciences,catalysis,energy storage,and conversion.Specifically,the great breakthrough of GDY zero-valence atomic catalysts,quantum dots catalysts,and heterostructure catalysts for catalytic applications are discussed in detail.We believe this review will provide some significant guidelines for the design and development of GDYbased high-performance materials and devices in energy fields.Feng He Yuliang Li 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,1:2
11A Case Study of Applying Metagenomic Sequencing in Precise Epidemiology for the COVID-19 Pandemic-Sichuan Province, China, 2020显示文摘Introduction:Determining the transmission chain of a virus in its incipient stages is extremely time consuming in traditional approaches that rely mainly on case incidence and interview-based contact data.With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology,genome-based epidemiology approach is showing promise in detecting viral transmission.However,there is still insufficient evidence for the relationship between the viral genetic variations and real viral transmission.Methods:To explore the possible relationship between transmission chains and viral genetic variations,we combined both epidemiological data and viral genomes of COVID-19 virus collected from Sichuan Province.A phylogenetic approach was used to infer the transmission chain,which was then compared to the transmission chain that came from epidemiological data.Results:We found that the putative transmission chains were highly concordant to the true transmission chains from epidemiological data,suggesting a strong correlation between viral genetic variations and the viral transmission chain.Discussion:Our results showed advantages of viral genomic sequencing in tracking and perceiving pathogen transmission,which allowed for potential improvements in the design and implementation of population-level public health interventions.Jianan Xu Ye Wang You Li Huiping Yang Ming Pan Jian Liu Lina Shi Yuliang Feng Li Liu Jin Li Li Zhang Shusen He 2020China CDC weekly2020,2,47:2

13Noise Reduction of UAV Using Biomimetic Propellers with Varied Morphologies Leading-edge Serration显示文摘The Leading-Edge(LE)serrations on owls'wings are known to be responsible for silent flight.However,this design has rarely been applied to reduce the noise of rotational rotor propellers and the morphologies of the existing serration designs are diverse.Here,we present a comparative study ofLE serrations with different morphologies in terms of the effectiveness in suppressing noise and promoting thrust forces.The performances of biomimetic propellers are investigated by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)simulations and rotation experiments.The simulation results reveal that LE serrations could reduce velocity fluctuations and change the lamina-turbulent transition and turbulence distribution on the suction surface of propeller,but the morphology of the serrations influences its effectiveness.Rotation testing results indicate that the sawtooth propeller has the best performance on noise reduction(on average 2.43 dB and in maximum 4.18 dB)and simultaneously enhancing the thrust forces(3.53%).The largest practical noise reductions(4.73 dB and 3.79 rdB)using the sawtooth propeller are observed when the quad-rotor Unmanned-Aerial Vehicle(UAV)is hovering at heights of 5 m and 8 m,respectively.Our results indicate the robustness and usefulness of owl-inspired biomimetic serration devices for aero-acoustic control and aerodynamic performance promotion on propeller designs.This finding is expected to con^bute to suppressing the sound of propeller and the rotor-based aircraft.Yuliang Wei Feng Xu Shiyuan Bian Deyi Kong 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,4:2
