1Porous Pt nanoframes decorated with Bi(OH)3 as highly efficient and stable electrocatalyst for ethanol oxidation reaction显示文摘High-quality Pt-based catalysts are highly desirable for ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR),which is of critical importance for the commercial applications of direct ethanol fuel cells(DEFCs).However,most of the Pt-based catalysts have suffered from high cost and low operation durability.Herein a two-step method has been developed to synthesize porous Pt nanoframes decorated with Bi(OH)3,which show excellent catalytic activity and operation durability in both alkaline and acidic media.For example,the nanoframes show a mass activity of 6.87 A·mgPt−1 in alkaline media,which is 13.5-fold higher than that of commercial Pt/C.More importantly,the catalyst can be reactivated simply,which shows negligible activity loss after running for 180,000 s.Further in situ attenuated total reflection-infrared(ATR-IR)absorption spectroscopy and CO-stripping experiments indicate that surface Bi(OH)3 species can greatly facilitate the formation of adsorbed OH species and subsequently remove carbonaceous poison,resulting in a significantly enhanced stability towards EOR.This work may favor the tailoring of desired electrocatalysts with high activity and durability for future commercial application of DEFCs.Xiaolei Yuan Bei Jiang Muhan Cao Congyang Zhang Xiaozhi Liu Qinghua Zhang Fenglei Lyu Lin Gu Qiao Zhang 2020Nano Research2020,13,1:3
2Health-related quality of life among rural residents aged 45-69 years in Hua County, Henan Province, China: Results of ESECC Trial for esophageal cancer screening with endoscopy显示文摘Objective: There have been few population-based studies evaluating health related quality of life(HRQOL) in rural populations in China, and this study aimed to assess the current status of and risk factors for HRQOL in a general rural population in high risk region of esophageal cancer in China.Methods: From November 2015 to September 2016, 12,085 permanent residents aged 45–69 years from 257 villages in the Endoscopic Screening for Esophageal Cancer in China(ESECC) trial(Clinical Trials.gov:NCT01688908) randomly selected from Hua County, Henan Province, China were interviewed. The EQ-5 D-3 L,a generic measure of HRQOL, and a questionnaire were used to assess their HRQOL and potential risk factors.Results: Among all the participants, 30.62% of the participants reported problems in at least one EQ-5 D dimension. Pain/discomfort(25.52%) was the most frequently reported problem followed by anxiety/depression(7.97%), mobility(5.82%), usual activities(2.61%) and self-care(1%). These rural residents had a mean EQ-5 D index score of 0.948, and lower EQ-5 D index scores were associated with older age, female gender, lower levels of household annual per capita income, living alone, using shallow wells as main source of drinking water, exposure to family members smoking, testiness, unhealthy dietary habits, overweight or obesity, upper gastrointestinal cancer related symptoms and chronic diseases.Conclusions: Rural residents in China have a relatively low quality of life. Health promotion programs in this population should focus on the elderly, especially elderly women and the elderly living alone. Improving basic living circumstances and primary medical care services should be priorities. 3Oral microbiome and risk of malignant esophageal lesions in a high-risk area of China:A nested case-control study显示文摘Objective:We aimed to prospectively evaluate the association of oral microbiome with malignant esophageal lesions and its predictive potential as a biomarker of risk.Methods:We conducted a case-control study nested within a population-based cohort with up to 8 visits of oral swab collection for each subject over an 11-year period in a high-risk area for esophageal cancer in China.The oral microbiome was evaluated with 16 S ribosomal RNA(rRNA)gene sequencing in 428 pre-diagnostic oral specimens from 84 cases with esophageal lesions of severe squamous dysplasia and above(SDA)and 168 matched healthy controls.DESeq analysis was performed to identify taxa of differential abundance.Differential oral species together with subject characteristics were evaluated for their potential in predicting SDA risk by constructing conditional logistic regression models.Results:A total of 125 taxa including 37 named species showed significantly different abundance between SDA cases and controls(all P<0.05&false discovery rate-adjusted Q<0.10).A multivariate logistic model including 11 SDA lesion-related species and family history of esophageal cancer provided an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)of 0.89(95%CI,0.84-0.93).Cross-validation and sensitivity analysis,excluding cases diagnosed within 1 year of collection of the baseline specimen and their matched controls,or restriction to screenendoscopic-detected or clinically diagnosed case-control triads,or using only bacterial data measured at the baseline,yielded AUCs>0.84.Conclusions:The oral microbiome may play an etiological and predictive role in esophageal cancer,and it holds promise as a non-invasive early warning biomarker for risk stratification for esophageal cancer screening programs.Fangfang Liu Mengfei Liu Ying Liu Chuanhai Guo Yunlai Zhou Fenglei Li Ruiping Xu Zhen Liu Qiuju Deng Xiang Li Chaoting Zhang Yaqi Pan Tao Ning Xiao Dong Zhe Hu Huanyu Bao Hong Cai Isabel Dos Santos Silva Zhonghu He Yang Ke 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,6:3

5Identification of cancer patients using claims data from health insurance systems: A real-world comparative study显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of identifying cancer patients by use of medical claims data in a health insurance system in China, and provide the basis for establishing the claims-based cancer surveillance system in China.Methods: We chose Hua County, Henan Province as the study site, and randomly selected 300 and 1,200 qualified inpatient electronic medical records(EMRs) as well as the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme(NCMS) claims records for cancer patients in Hua County People’s Hospital(HCPH) and Anyang Cancer Hospital(ACH) in 2017. Diagnostic information for NCMS claims was evaluated on an individual level, and sensitivity and positive predictive value(PPV) were calculated taking the EMRs as the gold standard.Results: The sensitivity of NCMS was 95.2%(93.8%-96.3%) and 92.0%(88.3%-94.8%) in ACH and HCPH,respectively. The PPV of the NCMS was 97.8%(96.7%-98.5%) in ACH and 89.0%(84.9%-92.3%) in HCPH.Overall, the weighted and combined sensitivity and PPV of NCMS in Hua County was 93.1% and 92.1%,respectively. 6Biophysical studies of the interaction between a triazole derivative and bovine serum albumin by multi-spectroscopic and molecular modeling methods显示文摘The interaction between 3-thiol-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzylideneamino)-5-methyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole (CBTZ) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) under physiological conditions was investigated by fluorescence,UV-vis absorption and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy as well as molecular modeling methods. The result of fluorescence experiment indicates the static quenching as a result of the formation of the CBTZ-BSA complex. The binding constants (Ka) at different temperatures were calculated according to the modified Stern-Volmer equation. The enthalpy change (-H) and entropy change (-S) were determined based on the van′t Hoff equation. Both negative-H and-S indicated that van der Waals and hydrogen-bonding forces were the dominant intermolecular forces to stabilize the CBTZ-BSA complex. Site marker competitive replacement experiments demonstrated that binding of CBTZ to BSA primarily took place in sub-domain IIA (Sudlow's site I). The binding distance (r = 7.2 nm) between CBTZ and the tryptophan residue of BSA was estimated according to the theory of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). The conformational studies by circular dichroism (CD) and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy showed that the presence of CBTZ induced minor changes of the secondary structure of BSA. 7High-efficiency acetaldehyde removal during solid-state polycondensation of poly(ethylene terephthalate) assisted by supercritical carbon dioxide显示文摘The concentration of acetaldehyde(AA) is the main quality index of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) used in food and drink packaging.A new method for AA removal has been developed by using supercritical carbon dioxide(sc CO2) during the solid-state polycondensation of PET.The influence factors of AA removal including the temperature,pressure,reaction time and the size of pre-polymer particles are systematically studied in this work.The results indicate that it is a highly efficient way to obtain high molecular weight PET with relative low concentration of AA.Correspondingly,the polymerization degree of PET could increase from 27.9 to 85.6 while the concentration of AA reduces from 0.229 × 10^(-6) to 0.055 × 10^(-6) under the optimal operation conditions of 230 °C,8 MPa and size of 0.30–0.45 mm.Thermodynamic performance tests show the increasing extent of PET crystallinity due to the fact that the plasticization of sc CO_2 is not obvious with extended reaction time,therefore the increasing crystallinity has no significant influence on AA removal.SEM observations reveal that the effects of sc CO_(2-) induced plasticization and swelling on PET increase significantly with the decrease of prepolymer size,and the surface of PET becomes more loose and porous in favor of the AA removal.Zhenhao Xi Tian Liu Wei Si Fenglei Bi Zhimei Xu Ling Zhao 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,6:2
8Exploration of spatial and temporal characteristics of PM2.5 concentration in Guangzhou, China using wavelet analysis and modified land use regression model显示文摘This article attempts to detail time series characteristics of PM2.5 concentration in Guangzhou(China)from 1 June 2012 to 31 May 2013 based on wavelet analysis tools,and discuss its spatial distribution using geographic information system software and a modified land use regression model.In this modified model,an important variable(land use data)is substituted for impervious surface area,which can be obtained conveniently from remote sensing imagery through the linear spectral mixture analysis method.Impervious surface has higher precision than land use data because of its sub-pixel level.Seasonal concentration pattern and day-by-day change feature of PM2.5 in Guangzhou with a micro-perspective are discussed and understood.Results include:(1)the highest concentration of PM2.5 occurs in October and the lowest in July,respectively;(2)average concentration of PM2.5 in winter is higher than in other seasons;and(3)there are two high concentration zones in winter and one zone in spring.Fenglei Fan Runping Liu 2018Geo-Spatial Information Science2018,21,4:2

10Synthesis and characterization of copolymers of poly(m-xylylene adipamide) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) oligomers by melt copolycondensation显示文摘Poly(m-xylylene adipamide)/poly(ethylene terephthalate)(MXD6/PET) copolymers are synthesized by melt copolycondensation with 1–5 wt% low molecular weight PET oligomers into the MXD6 oligomers at 260 °C.FR-IR and1 H NMR analysis results indicate that the interchange reaction has occurred between MXD6 oligomers and PET oligomers. The thermal behavior of copolymers shows that the melting temperature of MXD6/PET copolymers decreases with the increasing of amount of PET oligomers, while the crystallization temperature accordingly increases. And the equilibrium temperature Tm0 is evaluated to be 251.8 °C for the copolymers with5 wt% PET oligomer adding, which is very close to that of neat MXD6. 11Recovery of Ni(Ⅱ)from real electroplating wastewater using fixed-bed resin adsorption and subsequent electrodeposition显示文摘Effective recovery of high-value heavy metals from electroplating wastewater is of great significance,but recovering nickel ions from real electroplating wastewater as nickel sheet has not been reported.In this study,the pilot-scale fixed-bed resin adsorption was conducted to recover Ni(Ⅱ)ions from real nickel plating wastewater,and then the concentrated Ni(Ⅱ)ions in the regenerated solution were reduced to nickel sheet via electrodeposition.A commercial cation-exchange resin was selected and the optimal resin adsorption and regeneration conditions were investigated.The resin exhibited an adsorption capacity of 63 mg/g for Ni(Ⅱ)ions,and the average amount of treated water was 84.6 bed volumes(BV)in the pilot-scale experiments.After the adsorption by two ion-exchange resin columns in series and one chelating resin column,the concentrations of Ni(Ⅱ)in the treated wastewater were below 0.1 mg/L.After the regeneration of the spent resin using 3 BVof 4%(w/w)HC1 solution,1.5 BV of concentrated neutral nickel solution(>30 g/L)was obtained and used in the subsequent electrodeposition process.Using the aeration method,alkali and water required in resin activation process were greatly reduced to 2 BV and 3 BV,respectively.Under the optimal electrodeposition conditions,95.6%of Ni(Ⅱ)in desorption eluent could be recovered as the elemental nickel on the cathode,llie total treatment cost for the resin adsorption and regeneration as well as the electrodeposition was calculated.Tong Li Ke Xiao Bo Yang Guilong Peng Fenglei Liu Liyan Tao Siyuan Chen Haoran Wei Gang Yu Shubo Deng 2019Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,6:1

13Data Matching of Solar Images Super-Resolution Based on Deep Learning显示文摘The images captured by different observation station have different resolutions.The Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager(HMI:a part of the NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory SDO)has low-precision but wide coverage.And the Goode Solar Telescope(GST,formerly known as the New Solar Telescope)at Big Bear Solar Observatory(BBSO)solar images has high precision but small coverage.The super-resolution can make the captured images become clearer,so it is wildly used in solar image processing.The traditional super-resolution methods,such as interpolation,often use single image’s feature to improve the image’s quality.The methods based on deep learning-based super-resolution image reconstruction algorithms have better quality,but small-scale features often become ambiguous.To solve this problem,a transitional amplification network structure is proposed.The network can use the two types images relationship to make the images clear.By adding a transition image with almost no difference between the source image and the target image,the transitional amplification training procedure includes three parts:transition image acquisition,transition network training with source images and transition images,and amplification network training with transition images and target images.In addition,the traditional evaluation indicators based on structural similarity(SSIM)and peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)calculate the difference in pixel values and perform poorly in cross-type image reconstruction.The method based on feature matching can effectively evaluate the similarity and clarity of features.The experimental results show that the quality index of the reconstructed image is consistent with the visual effect.Liu Xiangchun Chen Zhan Song Wei Li Fenglei Yang Yanxing 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,9:0
14Overdriven Detonation and Its Application in Shaped Charges显示文摘Overdriven detonation(ODD)in high explosives can be generated by Mach reflection of conical detonation waves propagating quasi-steadily in a co-axial double layer cylindrical charge.The inner core of the charge consists of lower detonation velocity explosive with higher detonation velocity explosive for the outer core.The calculated pressures and detonation velocities in the ODD regime are compared with available results in the literature.The application of this technique to design a double layer shaped charge(DLSC)is numerically studied.It was discovered that the use of lower density-lower detonation velocity explosive in the inner core of DLSC can also yield similar results to those obtained with high density lower detonation velocity explosive.By analyzing previous experimental results and comparing with present simulations,it is demonstrated that ordinary shaped charges have some advantages over DLSC under certain conditions.Tariq Hussain Yan Liu Fenglei Huang 2017Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2017,26,1:0
15Immobilization of Escherichia coli for detection of phage T4 using surface plasmon resonance显示文摘Phage contamination is a very serious and unavoidable problem in modern fermentation industry.It is necessary to develop sensitive and rapid phage detection methods for the early detection of phage contamination.In the present work,a real-time,rapid,specific and quantitative phage T4 detection method based on surface plasmon resonance(SPR) technique has been introduced.Escherichia coli was immobilized onto the preformed MPA self-assembled monolayer(SAM) through the widely used EDC/NHS cross-linking reaction as the recognition element.The bacteria immobilization was verified efficiently through the electrochemical measurements and fluorescence microscopy observations.The specific adsorption was much stronger than the non-specific adsorption of phage T4 binding to the biosensor surface modified by E.coli,and the latter could be neglected.The detection sensitivity reached 1×10 7 PFU/mL within 10 min.Within the experimental phage concentrations,the linear correlation between the SPR response and the phage concentration was good.The results suggest that the SPR technique is a potentially powerful tool for the phage or other virus detections,as a label-free,real-time,and rapid method.XIAO ChangQing JIANG FengLei ZHOU Bo LI Ran LIU Yi 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:0
16High-speed penetration of ogive-nose projectiles into thick concrete targets:Tests and a projectile nose evolution model显示文摘The majority of the projectiles used in the hypersonic penetration study are solid flat-nosed cylindrical projectiles with a diameter of less than 20 mm.This study aims to fill the gap in the experimental and analytical study of the evolution of the nose shape of larger hollow projectiles under hypersonic penetration.In the hypersonic penetration test,eight ogive-nose AerMet100 steel projectiles with a diameter of 40 mm were launched to hit concrete targets with impact velocities that ranged from 1351 to 1877 m/s.Severe erosion of the projectiles was observed during high-speed penetration of heterogeneous targets,and apparent localized mushrooming occurred in the front nose of recovered projectiles.By examining the damage to projectiles,a linear relationship was found between the relative length reduction rate and the initial kinetic energy of projectiles in different penetration tests.Furthermore,microscopic analysis revealed the forming mechanism of the localized mushrooming phenomenon for eroding penetration,i.e.,material spall erosion abrasion mechanism,material flow and redistribution abrasion mechanism and localized radial upsetting deformation mechanism.Finally,a model of highspeed penetration that included erosion was established on the basis of a model of the evolution of the projectile nose that considers radial upsetting;the model was validated by test data from the literature and the present study.Depending upon the impact velocity,v0,the projectile nose may behave as undistorted,radially distorted or hemispherical.Due to the effects of abrasion of the projectile and enhancement of radial upsetting on the duration and amplitude of the secondary rising segment in the pulse shape of projectile deceleration,the predicted DOP had an upper limit.Xu Li Yan Liu Junbo Yan Zhenqing Shi Hongfu Wang Yingliang Xu Fenglei Huang 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2:0
17Research on the quasi-isentropic driving model of aluminized explosives in the detonation wave propagation direction显示文摘Taking CL-20(Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane)-based aluminized explosives with high gurney energy as the research object, this research experimentally investigates the work capability of different aluminized explosive formulations when driving metal flyer plates in the denotation wave propagation direction.The research results showed that the formulations with 43 μm aluminum(Al) powder particles(The particle sizes of Al powder were in the range of 2~43 μm) exhibited the optimal performance in driving flyer plates along the denotation wave propagation direction. Compared to the formulations with Al powder 13 μm, the formulations with Al powder 2 μm delivered better performance in accelerating metal flyer plates in the early stage, which, however, turned to be poor in the later stage. The CL-20-based explosives containing 25% Al far under-performed those containing 15% Al. Based on the proposed quasi-isentropic hypothesis, relevant isentropy theories, and the functional relationship between detonation parameters and entropy as well as Al reaction degree, the characteristic lines of aluminized explosives in accelerating flyer plates were theoretically studied, a quasi-isentropic theoretical model for the aluminized explosive driving the flyer plate was built and the calculation methods for the variations of flyer plate velocity, Al reaction degree, and detonation product parameters with time and axial positions were developed. The theoretical model built is verified by the experimental results of the CL-20-based aluminized explosive driving flyer plate. It was found that the model built could accurately calculate the variations of flyer plate velocity and Al reaction degree over time. In addition, how physical parameters including detonation product pressure and temperature varied with time and axial positions was identified. 18Experimental and numerical analyses of the effect of fibre content on the close-in blast performance of a UHPFRC beam显示文摘Limited research has been conducted on the influences of fiber content on close-in blasting characteristics for ultrahigh-performance fiber-reinforced concrete(UHPFRC)beams.This paper aims to address this knowledge gap through experimental and mesoscale numerical methods.Experiments were conducted on ten UHPFRC beams built with varying steel fiber volumetric fractions subjected to close-in explosive conditions.Additionally,this study considered other parameters,such as the longitudinal reinforcement type and ratio.In the case of UHPFRC beams featuring normal-strength longitudinal reinforcement of diametersΦ12,Φ16,andΦ20,a reduction in maximum displacement by magnitudes of19.6%,19.5%,and 17.4%was observed,respectively,as the volumetric fractions of fiber increased from1.0%to 2.5%.In addition,increasing the longitudinal reinforcement ratio and using high-strength steel longitudinal reinforcement both significantly reduced the deformation characteristics and increase the blasting resistances of UHPFRC beams.However,the effects on the local crushing and spalling damage were not significant.A mesoscale finite element model,which considers the impacts of fiber parameters on UHPFRC beam behaviors,was also established and well correlated with the test findings.Nevertheless,parametric analyses were further conducted to examine the impacts of the steel fiber content and length and the hybrid effects of various types of microfibers and steel fibers on the blasting performance of UHPFRC beams.Junbo Yan Qiyue Zhang Yan Liu Yingliang Xu Zhenqing Shi Fan Bai Fenglei Huang 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,31,1:0
19Bio-inspired surface manipulation of halloysite nanotubes for highperformance flame retardant polylactic acid nanocomposites显示文摘High-performance flame-retardant polylactic acid(PLA)bio-composites based on biobased fillers to meet usage requirements represents a promising direction for creating a sustainable world.Although flame retardant PLA composites have been reported extensively,it still remains a huge challenge to develop mechanically robust.The flame retardant PLA composites due to plastication effect of organic flame retardants and poor compatibility of organic fillers with the matrix lead to the severe deterioration in mechanical properties.In this work,a bio-inspired surface manipulation strategy for halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)was proposed via a facile and green self-assembly process.The structure and morphology of bio-inspired HNTs(b-HNTs)proved that biomass nanofillers(PA-NA-Fe)grew well both within the lumen and on the surface of HNTs.The growth of biomass on the inner and outer surfaces of HNTs was inspired from wooden towards enhancing the interface compatibility and imparting multi-properties to PLA biopolymer.Excellent mechanical properties(tensile,thermomechanical and anti-impact mechanical),great fire safety(heat release and smoke emission),thermostability and improved electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of this well-designed PLA nanocomposite were realized.The mechanisms of the enhanced performances of the PLA bio-composites by loading b-HNTs were proposed.This work presents a facile and environmentally-friendly bio-inspired modification strategy for HNTs to fabricate high-performance,multi-functional polymer composites,which is also suitable for surface modification of many other nanomaterials,including nanofibers,nanotubes,nanowires,and nanosheets.Yaru Sun Bin Yu Yan Liu Junbo Yan Zixi Xu Bo Cheng Fenglei Huang Jun Wang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
