1Recovery of phosphorus as struvite from sewage sludge ash显示文摘Phosphorus(P) is an element vital for all living organisms,yet the world's reserves of phosphate rock are becoming depleted.This study investigated an effective P recovery method from sludge ash via struvite precipitation.Results showed that more than 95% of the total P content was extracted from sludge ash by applying 0.5 mol/L HCl at a liquid/solid ratio of 50 mL/g.Although heavy metal leaching also occurred during P extraction,cation exchange resin efficiently removed the heavy metals from the P-rich solution.Orthogonal tests showed that the optimal parameters for P precipitation as struvite would be a Mg:N:P molar ratio of 1.6:1.6:1 at pH 10.0.X-ray diffraction analysis validated the formation of struvite.Further investigations revealed that the harvested precipitate had a high struvite content(97%),high P bioavailability(94%),and low heavy metal content,which could be considered a high quality fertilizer.Huacheng Xu Pinjing He Weimei Gu Guanzhao Wang Liming Shao 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,8:15

3Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 4The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 6Endovascular treatment of blood blister-like aneurysms in the internal carotid artery using a Willis covered stent显示文摘Background Despite the current availability of flow diverter devices(FDD), problems remains regarding optimal endovascular treatment(EVT) for blood blister-like aneurysms(BBAs) of the internal carotid artery(ICA). Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of EVT of BBAs in the ICA with a Willis covered stent. Methods 20 consecutive patients(5 men and 15 women) with ruptured BBAs underwent EVT using a Willis covered stent in two institutions from March 2013 to March 2018. Clinical observations, angiographic characteristics, and procedural and follow-up outcomes were retrospectively evaluated. 7Solute-homogenization model and its experimental verification in Mg-Gd-based alloys显示文摘Composition homogenization in solid solution is important for industrial alloys. In the present work, a solute homogenization model is proposed based on the chemical short-range-order tendency in Mg-Gdbased alloys. After a calculation using the cluster-plus-glue-atom model, the stable Mg-Gd structural unit is derived, [Gd-Mg12]Mg6, where one solute Gd is nearest-neighbored with twelve Mg atoms to form the characteristic hcp cluster [Gd-Mg12] and this cluster is matched with six Mg glue atoms. Such a local unit is then mixed with [Mg-Mg12]Mg3, the stable unit for pure Mg. Assuming that the Gd-containing units are arranged in fcc-or bcc-like lattice points and the Mg units in their octahedral interstices, three proportions between the two units are obtained, 1:1, 2:3, and 1:3, which constitute three solute homogenization modes. The prevailing Mg-Gd-based alloys are consequently classified into three groups, respectively exemplified by GW103 K(Mg-10 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr, wt%), GW83 K(Mg-8 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr), and GW63 K(Mg-6 Gd-3 Y-0.4 Zr). Mg-Gd-Y-Zr alloys were designed following the model(where Y and Zr were also added in substitution for Gd) and prepared by permanent-mould casting. 8The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components.The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. 9N_2O and NH_3 emissions from a bioreactor landfill operated under limited aerobic degradation conditions显示文摘The combination of leachate recirculation and aeration to landfill may be an efficient way for in-situ nitrogen removal.However,nitrogenous substances contained in the landfill layer are concomitantly transformed into N2O and NH3,leading to increased emissions into the atmosphere.In the present study,the emissions of N2O and NH3 were measured under conditions of fresh or partially stabilized refuse with or without leachate recirculation or intermittent aeration.The results showed that the largest N2O emission(12.4 mg-N/L of the column) was observed in the aerated column loaded with partially stabilized refuse and recycled with the leachate of low C/N ratio;while less than 0.33 mg-N/L of the column was produced in the other columns.N2O production was positively correlated with the prolonged aerobic time and negatively related with the C/N ratio in the recycled leachate.NH3 volatilization increased with enhanced gas flow and concentration of free ammonia in the leachate,and the highest cumulative volatilization quantity was 1.7 mg-N/L of the column.Pinjing He Na Yang Huili Gu Hua Zhang Liming Shao 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,6:5
10Nanoenzyme engineered neutrophil-derived exosomes attenuate joint injury in advanced rheumatoid arthritis via regulating inflammatory environment显示文摘Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by synovitis and destruction of cartilage,promoted by sustained inflammation.However,current treatments remain unsatisfactory due to lacking of selective and effective strategies for alleviating inflammatory environments in RA joint.Inspired by neutrophil chemotaxis for inflammatory region,we therefore developed neutrophil-derived exosomes functionalized with sub-5 nm ultrasmall Prussian blue nanoparticles(uPB-Exo)via click chemistry,inheriting neutrophil-targeted biological molecules and owning excellent anti-inflammatory properties.uPB-Exo can selectively accumulate in activated fibroblast-like synoviocytes,subsequently neutralizing pro-inflammatory factors,scavenging reactive oxygen species,and alleviating inflammatory stress.In addition,uPB-Exo effectively targeted to inflammatory synovitis,penetrated deeply into the cartilage and real-time visualized inflamed joint through MRI system,leading to precise diagnosis of RA in vivo with high sensitivity and specificity.Particularly,uPB-Exo induced a cascade of anti-inflammatory events via Th17/Treg cell balance regulation,thereby significantly ameliorating joint damage.Therefore,nanoenzyme functionalized exosomes hold the great potential for enhanced treatment of RA in clinic.Lei Zhang Ziguo Qin Han Sun Xiang Chen Jian Dong Siyu Shen Liming Zheng Ning Gu Qing Jiang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,12:4
11Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 19Unraveling the degradation mechanism of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) at the high cut-off voltage for lithium ion batteries显示文摘LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(NCM811)layered oxides have been regarded as promising alternative cathodes for the next generation of high-energy lithium ion batteries(LIBs)due to high discharge capacities and energy densities at high operation voltage.However,the capacity fading under high operation voltage still restricts the practical application.Herein,the capacity degradation mechanism of NCM811 at atomic-scale is studied in detail under various cut-off voltages using aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM).It is observed that the crystal structure of NCM811 evolution from a layered structure to a rock-salt phase is directly accompanied by serious intergranular cracks under 4.9 V,which is distinguished from the generally accepted structure evolution of layered,disordered layered,defect rock salt and rock salt phases,also observed under 4.3 and 4.7 V.The electron energy loss spectroscopy analysis also confirms the reduction of Ni and Co from the surface to the bulk,not the previously reported only Li/Ni interlayer mixing.The degradation mechanism of NCM811 at a high cut-off voltage of4.9 V is attributed to the formation of intergranular cracks induced by defects,the direct formation of the rock salt phase,and the accompanied reduction of Ni^(2+)and Co^(2+)phases from the surface to the bulk.Liming Wang Qingmei Su Bin Han Weihao Shi Gaohui Du Yunting Wang Huayv Li Lin Gu Wenqi Zhao Shukai Ding Miao Zhang Yongzhen Yang Bingshe Xu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,2:1
