| 3 | Metamorphic Characteristics and Tectonic Implications of the Kadui Blueschist in the Central Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone,Southern Tibet显示文摘The Kadui blueschist is located in the central section of Yarlung Zangbo suture zone(YZSZ), southern Tibet, and has been subjected to the subduction of the Neo-Tethyan Ocean below the Asian Plate and provides important clues for better understanding the evolution of the India-Asia convergence zone. In this paper, the systematical petrographic and mineral chemical studies were carried out on the Kadui blueschist, which reveal a mineral assemblage of sodic amphibole, chlorite, epidote, albite and quartz with accessory minerals of titanite, calcite and zircon. Electron microprobe analyses demonstrate that amphibole shows zoned from actinolite core to ferrowinchite/riebeckite rim composition indicating that the sodic amphibole has formed during a prograde metamorphic event. The protolith of the blueschist is an intermediate-basic pyroclastic rock. The calculated pseudosection indicates a clockwise P-T path and constrains peak metamorphic conditions of about 5.9 kbar at 345 ℃. This condition is transitional between pumpellyite-actinolite, greenschist and blueschist facies with a burial depth of 20–22 km and a thermal gradient of 15–16 ℃/km. This thermal gradient belongs to high pressure intermediate P/T facies series and is possibly related to a warm subduction setting of young oceanic slabs. | 6 | Performance of biotrickling filters packed with structured or cubic polyurethane sponges for VOC removal显示文摘Two identical bench-scale biotrickling filters (BTFs),BTF 1 and BTF 2,were evaluated for toluene removal at various gas empty bed contact times (EBCTs) and organic loadings.BTF 1 and BTF 2 were packed with structured and cubic synthetic polyurethane sponges,respectively.At a constant toluene loading of 16 g/(m 3 ·hr),toluene removal efficiencies decreased from 98.8% to 64.3% for BTF 1 and from 98.4% to 74.1% for BTF 2 as gas EBCT decreased from 30 to 5 sec.When the toluene loading increased from 35 to 140 g/(m 3 ·hr) at a gas EBCT of 30 sec,the removal efficiencies decreased from 99.1% to 77.4% for BTF 1 and from 99.0% to 81.5% for BTF 2.The pressure drop for both BTFs increased with increased air flow rate,and did not significantly vary while the toluene loading was increased under similar operation conditions.BTF 1 and BTF 2 could start up successfully within 19 and 27 days,respectively,when packed with fresh sponge media,and the performances could be restored in 3-7 days after biomass was removed and wasted from the media.BTF 2 displayed higher removal efficiency even under shorter EBCT or higher loading rate than BTF1 when other operation conditions were similar,while it showed lower pressure drop than BTF 1 during the whole period of operation.These results demonstrated that both BTFs could treat waste gas containing toluene effectively. | Chunping Yang Guanlong Yu Guangming Zeng Haining Yang Fayuan Chen Congying Jin | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,8: | 10 |
| 7 | Expression Analysis of miRNAs and Highly-expressed Small RNAs in Two Rice Subspecies and their Reciprocal Hybrids显示文摘Heterosis,or hybrid vigor,is the phenomenon whereby progeny of two inbred lines exhibit superior agronomic performance compared with either parent.We analyzed the expression of miRNAs and highly expressed small RNAs (defined according to Solexa sequencing results) in two rice (Oryza sativa) subspecies (japonica cv.Nipponbare and indica cv.93-11) and their reciprocal hybrids using microarrays.We found that of all the 1141 small RNAs tested,140 (12%,140 of 1141) and 157 (13%,157 of 1141) were identified being significantly differentially expressed in two reciprocal hybrids,respectively.All possible modes of action,including additive,high-and low-parent,above high-and below low-parent modes were exhibited.Both F1 hybrids showed non-additive expression patterns,with downregulation predominating.Interestingly,15 miRNAs displayed stark opposite expression trends relative to midparent in reciprocal hybrids.Computational prediction of targets of differentially expressed miRNAs showed that they participated in multifaceted developmental pathways,and were not distinguishable from the targets of non-differentially expressed miRNAs.Together,our findings reveal that small RNAs play roles in heterosis and add a new layer in the understanding and exploitation of molecular mechanisms of heterosis. | Fangfang Chen Guangming He Hang He Wei Chen Xiaopeng Zhu Manzhong Liang Liangbi Chen Xing Wang Deng | 2010 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,11: | 10 |

| 10 | Preparation and biodistribution of ^(99)Tc^m-PIDP as bone imaging agent显示文摘A novel zoledronic acid derivative,1-hydroxy-2-(2-propyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)ethane-1,1-diyldiphosphonic acid (PIDP), was synthesized by three-step reactions from 2-propyl-1H-imidazole. It was labeled with 99Tcm in conditions of 0.1 mg SnCl2.2H2O at pH 6.0 and 99TcmO4? in aqueous solution for 20 min at room temperature. The labeling yield and radiochemical purity of 99Tcm-PIDP are both higher than 95%. The biodistribution results show that the bone uptake is up to 8.47% ID/g which is the maximum of bone uptake at 30 min after injection of 99Tcm-PIDP in mice. The pharmacokinetic parameters can be estimated from the exponential equation of C=59.565e-11.307t+2.069e-1.211t. The clear bone image of rabbit was obtained at 120 min after injection of 99Tcm-PIDP. | 12 | Longitudinal distribution of O_2 nightglow brightness observed by TIEMD/SABER satellite显示文摘The global distribution of 1.27 ?m O2 nightglow brightness observed by the TIMED/SABER satellite has been investigated to find the longitudinal structures for different seasons and latitudes. The results show that the O2 airglow is dominated by wave 4 structure at latitudes between equator and 20oS/N in both hemispheres during most seasons. At mid-latitudes around 40oS/N, the wave 1 structure is observed for most seasons with a small contribution of wave 2 during the June solstice. | 13 | Shellac-coated iron oxide nanoparticles for removal of cadmium(Ⅱ) ions from aqueous solution显示文摘This study describes a new effective adsorbent for cadmium removal from aqueous solution synthesized by coating a shellac layer, a natural biodegradable and renewable resin with abundant hydroxyl and carboxylic groups, on the surface of iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) imaging showed shellac-coated magnetic nanoparticle (SCMN) adsorbents had a core-shell structure with a core of 20 nm and shell of 5 nm. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic analysis suggested the occurrence of reaction between carboxyl groups on the SCMN adsorbent surface and cadmium ions in aqueous solution. Kinetic data were well described by pseudo second-order model and adsorption isotherms were fitted with both Langmuir and Freundlich models with maximum adsorption capacity of 18.80 mg/g. | 16 | Global distributions of OH and O_2 (1.27 μm) nightglow emissions observed by TIMED satellite显示文摘In order to investigate the global distributions of temporal variations of OH and O2 nightglow emissions,we statistically analyzed their variations with altitude,local time,and season,using the OH and O2 airglow emission rate data observed by the TIMED satellite between 2002 and 2009.The results indicated that the OH nightglow emission was stronger than dayglow emission and the O2 nightglow emission was weaker than dayglow emission.In the tropics,the OH nightglow intensity reached its maximum near midnight;at higher latitudes,the OH nightglow intensities after sunset and before sunrise were much strong.At the equinoxes,the O2 nightglow intensity in the tropics decreased with local time;at the solstices,the local time-latitude distribution of the O2 nightglow intensity had a valley(with weak emission).As for the altitude-latitude distributions of nightglow emission rates,the distribution for OH nightglow at the equinoxes had one peak(with strong emission)at the equator,with a peak height around 85 km;the peak for the March equinox was stronger than that for the September equinox.The distribution for O2 nightglow at the equinoxes had three peaks,lying at 30°in the spring and autumn hemispheres and at the equator,and the peak height at the equator was the lowest.The distributions for both OH and O2 nightglow emissions at the solstices had three peaks.Both nightglow intensities in the tropics had obvious annual and semi-annual variations,the peaks and valleys for semi-annual variations appeared near the equinoxes and solstices,respectively,and the peak at the March equinox was larger than that at the September equinox.The distributions of both OH and O2 nightglow intensities showed a hemispheric asymmetry. | GAO Hong XU JiYao CHEN GuangMing YUAN Wei BELETSKY A. | 18 | Modeling and numerical simulation of a novel solar-powered absorption air conditioning system driven by a bubble pump with energy storage显示文摘This paper presents a novel solar-powered absorption air conditioning system driven by a bubble pump with energy storage. It solves the problem of unreliable solar energy supply by storing the working fluids and hence, functions 24 h per day. First, the working principles are described and the dynamic models for the primary energy storage components are developed. Then, the system is evaluated based on a numerical simulation. Based on the meteorological data of a typical day in a subtropical area, with the area of a solar collector being set at 19.15 m2, whilst the initial charging mass, mass fraction and temperature of the solution are respectively set at 379.5 kg, 54.16% and 34.5 ℃, it is found that the respective coefficients of performance (COP) of the air conditioning system and the en- tire system (including the solar panel) are 0.7771 and 0.4372. In particular, the energy storage density of the system is 206.69 MJ/m3 which is much greater than those of chilled water or hot water storage systems under comparable conditions. This makes the new system much more compact and efficient. | 19 | Study of the Change in Wave Velocity Ratio before and after Two Strong Earthquakes Using Airgun Source Data显示文摘Using the signals excited by the large-volume airgun source at the Binchuan transmitting seismic station from January to June,2016,arrival-time data was acquired at four stations near the epicenter of the Eryuan MS4.5 and MS4.0 earthquakes on February 8,2016,as well as the epicenter of the Yunlong MS5.0 and Eryuan MS4.6 earthquakes on May 18,2016 through the waveform cross-correlation technique.The wave velocity ratio of the four stations was calculated using the single-station method.At the same time,the b-value and the focal mechanism consistency parameters of the study area were also calculated.The results show that:(1)the wave velocity ratio of each station experienced a process of decline-recovery-fast rise before the two strong earthquakes,and a significant quasi-synchronous rapid rise occurred within 3-12 days before the earthquake;(2)the timing of the rapid rise of the wave velocity ratio of the four stations before the Yunlong MS5.0 and Eryuan MS4.6 earthquakes were related to the epicentral distance.The station which observed the earliest increase in rapid rise is the farthest one from the epicenter,and the station where the rapid rise appeared in the latest is closest to the epicenter;(3)the form of change of the wave velocity ratio before the earthquake was different between stations located at different directions in the epicenter area;(4)the b-value and the focal mechanism consistency parameter which is commonly used to characterize the stress level both showed a downward trend before the two strong earthquakes,and were consistent with the change in the wave velocity ratio.According to the preliminary analysis,the wave velocity ratio obtained by using airgun source can better reflect the change in the stress state of the underground medium. | LIU Zifeng YE Beng CHEN Jia ZHOU Qingyun WANG Guangming PENG Guanling LI Yongli | 2019 | Earthquake Research in China2019,33,2: | 4 |
