| 1 | Research on solar aided coal-fired power generation system and performance analysis显示文摘Integrating solar power utilization systems with coal-fired power units, the solar aided coal-fired power generation (SACPG) shows a significant prospect for the large-scale utilization of solar energy and energy saving of thermal power units. The methods and mechanism of system integration were studied. The parabolic trough solar collectors were used to collect solar energy and the integration scheme of SACPG system was determined considering the matching of working fluid flows and energy flows. The thermodynamic characteristics of solar thermal power generation and their effects on the performance of thermal power units were studied, and based on this the integration and optimization model of system structure and parameters were built up. The integration rules and coupling mecha- nism of SACPG systems were summarized in accordance with simulation results. | 2 | Antigenic variation of the human influenza A(H3N2) virus during the 2014–2015 winter season显示文摘The human influenza A(H3N2) virus dominated the 2014–2015 winter season in many countries and caused massive morbidity and mortality because of its antigenic variation. So far, very little is known about the antigenic patterns of the recent H3N2 virus. By systematically mapping the antigenic relationships of H3N2 strains isolat ed since 2010, we discov ered that two groups with obvious antigenic divergence, named SW13(A/Switzerland/9715293/2013-like strains) and HK14(A/Hong Kong/5738/2014-like strains), co-circulated during the 2014–2015 winter season. HK14 group co-circulated with SW13 in Europe and the United States during this season, while there were few strains of HK14 in China's Mainland, where SW13 has dominated since 2012. Furthermore, we found that substitutions near the receptor-binding site on hemagglutinin played an important role in the antigenic variation of both the groups. | 3 | Retrospective study of Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To provide clinical evidence in support of Dahuang Huanglian Xiexin decoction(DHXD) to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) and to introduce a new treatment option for clinicians.METHODS: Retrospective analysis was used to evaluate DHXD for the treatment of T2DM by analyzing clinical records of 183 cases. Patients with T2DM who met the inclusion criteria between January 1,2013 and January 1, 2014 were enrolled. The effects of the treatment were evaluated by the changes in fasting blood-glucose(FBG), postprandial blood sugar(PBG), hemoglobin A1c(Hb Alc), blood lipid profiles and body mass index(BMI) at 1, 2, 3 and 6 months. The changes in main symptoms were alsoevaluated. The dosage of Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis) and related factors were analyzed.RESULTS: There was a significant improvement in mean Hb A1C at 3 and 6 months after DHXD treatment compared with the baseline level(P < 0.01).There were also significant improvements in FBG,PBG, blood lipid series and BMI. DHXD also improved the main symptoms of stomach and intestine excessive heat syndrome in patients with obese T2DM. Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis) was the most frequently used in 678 clinical visits, the dosage of Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis) was related to age, BMI, DM duration, the level of blood glucose,and use of Western hypoglycemic drugs.CONCLUSION: This study suggests that DHXD could decrease blood glucose and improve T2DM symptoms and reduce body weight. | 6 | Diabetic kidney disease treated with a modified Shenzhuo formula derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine:a case report显示文摘INTRODUCTION: Diabetic kidney disease(DKD) is one of the most common microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus and is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease. DKD seriously affects the quality of life of patients and brings heavy economic burden to the country. At present, the pathogenesis of DKD is not entirely clear, and clinical treatment is mainly to control blood glucose and lower blood pressure and urine protein. However,the clinical effect is not satisfactory.CASE PRESENTATION: A female patient, aged 72 years, first visited our hospital endocrinology clinic,and was diagnosed with DKD. She suffered from fatigue, cold sensation in the lower extremities, convulsion of the lower limbs and frequent urination at night. She had a dark purple tongue with white and yellow fur and sublingual varices. Accessory examinations showed that her fasting blood glucose was 5.7 mmol/L, serum creatinine 159 μmol/L,blood urea nitrogen 13.6 μmol/L, blood uric acid493 μmol/L, and blood pressure 138/65 mm Hg.The patient received Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of the modified Shenzhuo formula[Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici), Dahuang(Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei Palmati), Shuizhi(Hirudo) and Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)] for 7 years and achieved good results.CONCLUSION: This case provides a specific treatment plan and an effective reference for clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating DKD. | 15 | Different Starting Dominant Strain of Seasonal Influenza in China and Other Neighboring Asian Countries in 2019−2020 Winter Season显示文摘Introduction:Seasonal influenza is a prevalent and highly contagious acute respiratory disease that causes a major global disease burden.New strains of influenza viruses also have the potential to cause an influenza pandemic.Due to the high variability and the consequent uncertainty about virus strains,the prevention and control of influenza are faced with many challenges.Surveillance is considered a key strategy to lead to the prevention and control of influenza,and influenza is one of first infectious diseases to be monitored globally.Methods:The Chinese National Influenza Surveillance Network conducts routine influenza surveillance and includes 410 network laboratories and 554 sentinel hospitals based on the requirements of National Influenza Surveillance Guidelines.China and other countries submit epidemiological and virological data to the WHO FluMart database,which can be viewed online.Results:Seasonal influenza H3N2 virus was the dominant subtype in China when entering the 2019–2020 winter influenza season,while neighboring countries such as Japan and Republic of Korea reported the dominance of H1N1pdm09 and Mongolia and Russia reported a higher proportion of type B virus than type A virus.Conclusions and Implications for Public Health Practice:Asian countries entered the 2019–2020 winter influenza season with different type/subtypes of influenza virus dominant in different areas.Influenza surveillance needs to be strengthened to closely monitor changes in the antigenicity and genetic characteristics of emerging viruses. | Jing Yang Weijuan Huang Yanhui Cheng Tao Chen Minju Tan Qian Guo Hejiang Wei Fei Zhu Tomoko Kuwahara Xiyan Li Xiang Zhao Hideki Hasegawa George F.Gao Dayan Wang | 2020 | China CDC weekly2020,2,4: | 0 |
