1Natural vegetation restoration of Liaodong oak(Quercus liaotungensis Koidz.) forests rapidly increased the content and ratio of inert carbon in soil macroaggregates显示文摘The lack of clarity of how natural vegetation restoration influences soil organic carbon(SOC) content and SOC components in soil aggregate fractions limits the understanding of SOC sequestration and turnover in forest ecosystems.The aim of this study was to explore how natural vegetation restoration affects the SOC content and ratio of SOC components in soil macroaggregates(>250 μm), microaggregates(53–250 μm), and silt and clay(<53 μm) fractions in 30-, 60-, 90-and 120-year-old Liaodong oak(Quercus liaotungensis Koidz.) forests, Shaanxi, China in 2015.And the associated effects of biomasses of leaf litter and different sizes of roots(0–0.5, 0.5–1.0, 1.0–2.0 and >2.0 mm diameter) on SOC components were studied too.Results showed that the contents of high activated carbon(HAC), activated carbon(AC) and inert carbon(IC) in the macroaggregates, microaggregates and silt and clay fractions increased with restoration ages.Moreover, IC content in the microaggregates in topsoil(0–20 cm) rapidly increased;peaking in the 90-year-old restored forest, and was 5.74 times higher than AC content.In deep soil(20–80 cm), IC content was 3.58 times that of AC content.Biomasses of 0.5–1.0 mm diameter roots and leaf litter affected the content of aggregate fractions in topsoil, while the biomass of >2.0 mm diameter roots affected the content of aggregate fractions in deep soil.Across the soil profiles, macroaggregates had the highest capacity for HAC sequestration.The effects of restoration ages on soil aggregate fractions and SOC content were less in deep soil than in topsoil.In conclusion, natural vegetation restoration of Liaodong oak forests improved the contents of SOC, especially IC within topsoil and deep soil.The influence of IC on aggregate stability was greater than the other SOC components, and the aggregate stability was significantly affected by the biomasses of litter, 0.5–1.0 mm diameter roots in topsoil and >2.0 mm diameter roots in deep soil.Natural vegetation restoration of Liaodong oak forests promoted SOC sequestration by soil macroaggregates.SUN Lipeng HE Lirong WANG Guoliang JING Hang LIU Guobin 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,6:5
2H7N9 virus infection triggers lethal cytokine storm by activating gasdermin E-mediated pyroptosis of lung alveolar epithelial cells显示文摘The H7N9 influenza virus emerged in China in 2013,causing more than 1560 human infections,39% of which were fatal.A ‘cytokine storm’ in the lungs of H7N9 patients has been linked to a poor prognosis and death;however,the underlying mechanism that triggers the cytokine storm is unknown.Here,we found that efficient replication of the H7N9 virus in mouse lungs activates gasdermin E(GSDME)-mediated pyroptosis in alveolar epithelial cells,and that the released cytosolic contents then trigger a cytokine storm.Knockout of Gsdme switched the manner of death of A549 and human primary alveolar epithelial cells from pyroptosis to apoptosis upon H7N9 virus infection,and Gsdme knockout mice survived H7N9 virus lethal infection.Our findings reveal that GSDME activation is a key and unique mechanism for the pulmonary cytokine storm and lethal outcome of H7N9 virus infection and thus opens a new door for the development of antivirals against the H7N9 virus.Xiaopeng Wan Jiqing Li Yupeng Wang Xiaofei Yu Xijun He Jianzhong Shi Guohua Deng Xianying Zeng Guobin Tian Yanbing Li Yongping Jiang Yuntao Guan Chengjun Li Feng Shao Hualan Chen 2022National Science Review2022,9,1:3
3A chromosome-scale genome assembly of Artemisia argyi reveals unbiased subgenome evolution and key contributions of gene duplication to volatile terpenoid diversity显示文摘Artemisia argyi Le´vl.et Vant.,a perennial Artemisia herb with an intense fragrance,is widely used in traditional medicine in China and many other Asian countries.Here,we present a chromosome-scale genome assembly of A.argyi comprising 3.89 Gb assembled into 17 pseudochromosomes.Phylogenetic and comparative genomic analyses revealed that A.argyi underwent a recent lineage-specificwhole-genomeduplication(WGD)event after divergence fromArtemisia annua,resulting in two subgenomes.Wedeciphered the diploid ancestral genome of A.argyi,and unbiased subgenome evolution was observed.The recent WGD led to a large number of duplicated genes in the A.argyi genome.Expansion of the terpene synthase(TPS)gene family through various types of gene duplication may have greatly contributed to the diversity of volatile terpenoids in A.argyi.In particular,we identified a typical germacrene D synthase gene cluster within the expanded TPS gene family.The entire biosynthetic pathways of germacrenes,(+)-borneol,and(+)-camphor were elucidated in A.argyi.In addition,partial deletion of the amorpha-4,11-diene synthase(ADS)gene and loss of function of ADS homologs may have resulted in the lack of artemisinin production in A.argyi.Our study provides newinsights into the genome evolution of Artemisia and lays a foundation for further improvement of the quality of this important medicinal plant.Hongyu Chen Miaoxian Guo Shuting Dong Xinling Wu Guobin Zhang Liu He Yuannian Jiao Shilin Chen Li Li Hongmei Luo 2023Plant Communications2023,4,3:2

12Optimal Location and Sizing of Distributed Generator via Improved Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization in Active Distribution Network Considering Multi-Resource显示文摘In the framework of vigorous promotion of low-carbon power system growth as well as economic globalization,multi-resource penetration in active distribution networks has been advancing fiercely.In particular,distributed generation(DG)based on renewable energy is critical for active distribution network operation enhancement.To comprehensively analyze the accessing impact of DG in distribution networks from various parts,this paper establishes an optimal DG location and sizing planning model based on active power losses,voltage profile,pollution emissions,and the economics of DG costs as well as meteorological conditions.Subsequently,multiobjective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO)is applied to obtain the optimal Pareto front.Besides,for the sake of avoiding the influence of the subjective setting of the weight coefficient,the decisionmethod based on amodified ideal point is applied to execute a Pareto front decision.Finally,simulation tests based on IEEE33 and IEEE69 nodes are designed.The experimental results show thatMOPSO can achieve wider and more uniformPareto front distribution.In the IEEE33 node test system,power loss,and voltage deviation decreased by 52.23%,and 38.89%,respectively,while taking the economy into account.In the IEEE69 test system,the three indexes decreased by 19.67%,and 58.96%,respectively.Guobin He Rui Su Jinxin Yang Yuanping Huang Huanlin Chen Donghui Zhang Cangtao Yang Wenwen Li 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,9:0
13Ratiometric fluorescent Si-FITC nanoprobe for immunoassay of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)highlights the importance of rapid and reliable diagnostic assays for the management of virus transmission.Here,we developed a one-pot hydrothermal method to prepare Si-FITC nanoparticles(NPs)for the fluorescent immunoassay of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)nucleocapsid protein(N protein).The synthesis of Si-FITC NPs did not need post-modification,which addressed the issue of quantum yield reduction during the coupling reaction.Si-FITC NPs showed two distinct peaks,Si fluorescence atλem=385 nm and FITC fluorescence atλem=490 nm.In the presence of KMnO_(4),Si fluorescence was decreased and FITC fluorescence was enhanced.Briefly,in the presence of N protein,catalase(CAT)-linked secondary antibody/reporter antibody/N protein/capture antibody immunocomplexes were formed on microplates.Subsequently,hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))and Si-FITC NPs/KMnO_(4)were injected into the microplate together.The decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)by CAT resulted in remaining of KMnO_(4),which changed the fluorescence intensity ratio of Si-FITC NPs.The fluorescence intensity ratio correlated significantly with the N protein concentration ranging from 0.02 to 50.00 ng/mL,and the detection limit was 0.003 ng/mL,which was more sensitive than the commercial ELISA kit with a detection limit of 0.057 ng/mL.The N protein concentration can be accurately determined in human serum.Furthermore,the COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients were distinguishable by this method.Therefore,the ratiometric fluorescent immunoassay can be used for SARS-CoV-2 infection diagnosis with a high sensitivity and selectivity.Guobin Mao Silu Ye Wen Yin Yang Yang Xinghu Ji Jin He Yingxia Liu Junbiao Dai Zhike He Yingxin Ma 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
14Adaptive fault-tolerant control of high-speed maglev train suspension system with partial actuator failure: design and experiments显示文摘High-speed maglev trains will play an important role in the high-speed transportation system in the near future.However,under the conditions of strong magnetic fields and continuous operation,the actuators of the high-speed maglev train suspension system are prone to lose partial effectiveness,which makes the suspension control problem challenging.In addition,most existing fault-tolerant control(FTC)methods for suspension systems require linearization around the equilibrium points during the controller design or stability analysis.Therefore,from a practical perspective,this study presents a novel nonlinear FTC strategy with adaptive compensation for high-speed maglev train suspension systems.First,a nonlinear dynamic model of the suspension system based on join-structure is established and the actuator failures are described.Then,a nonlinear fault-tolerant suspension control law with an adaptive update law is designed to achieve stable suspension against partial actuator failure.The Lyapunov theory and extended Barbalat lemma are utilized to rigorously prove the closed-loop asymptotic stability even if there is partial actuator failure,without any approximation to the original nonlinear dynamics.Finally,hardware experimental results are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Yougang SUN Fengxing LI Guobin LIN Junqi XU Zhenyu HE 2023Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2023,24,3:0
