1Laser performance of the SG-Ⅲ laser facility显示文摘SG-Ⅲ laser facility is now the largest laser driver for inertial confinement fusion research in China. 3CO_2 Density-Raman Shift Relation Derived from Synthetic Inclusions in Fused Silica Capillaries and Its Application显示文摘The densities of CO_2 inclusions in minerals are commonly used to determine the crystallizing conditions of the host minerals.However,conventional microthermometry is difficult to apply for inclusions of small size(<5-10μm) or low density.Raman analysis is an alternative method for determining CO_2 density,provided that the CO_2 density-Raman shift relation is known.This study aims to establish this CO_2 density-Raman shift relation by using CO_2 inclusions synthesized in fused silica capillaries.By using this newly-developed synthetic technique,we formed pure CO_2 inclusions,and their densities were determined by microthermometry.The Raman analysis showed that the relation between CO_2 density(D in g/cm3) and the separations(△in cm^(-1)) between the two main bands(i.e.Fermi diad bands) in CO_2 Raman spectra can be represented by a cubic equation:D (g/cm^3)=0.74203(-0.019⊿~3+5.90332⊿~2-610.79472⊿+21050.30165)-3.54278(r^2=0.99920).Our calculated D value for a given⊿ is between those obtained from two previously-reported equations,which were derived from different experimental methods.An example was given in this study to demonstrate that the densities of natural CO_2 inclusions that could not be derived from microthermometry could be determined by using our method.SONG Yucai CHOU I'Ming HU Wenxuan Burruss ROBERT LU Wanjun 2009Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,5:9
4A Novel Chimeric Mitochondrial Gene Confers Cytoplasmic Effects on Seed Oil Content in Polyploid Rapeseed (Brassica napus)显示文摘Cytoplasmic effects (CEs) have been discovered to influence a diverse array of agronomic traits in crops, and understanding the underlying mechanisms can help accelerate breeding programs. Seed oil content (SOC) is of great agricultural, nutritional, and economic importance. However, the genetic basis of CEs on SOC (CE-SOC) remains enigmatic. In this study, we use an optimized approach to sequence the cytoplasmic (plastid and mitochondrial) genomes of allotetraploid oilseed rape (Brassica napus) cultivars, 51218 and 56366, that bear contrasting CE-SOC. By combining comparative genomics and genome-wide transcriptome analysis, we identify mitochondria-encoded orf188 as a potential CE-SOC determinant gene. Functional analyses in the model system Arabidopsis thaliana and rapeseed demonstrated that orf188 governs CE-SOC and could significantly increase SOC, strikingly, through promoting the yield of ATP. Consistent with this finding, transcriptional profiling with microarray and RNA sequencing revealed that orf188 affects transcriptional reprogramming of mitochondrial energy metabolism to facilitate ATP production. Intriguingly, orf188 is a previously uncharacterized chimeric gene, and the presence of this genetic novelty endows rapeseed with positive CE-SOC. 5Age-Related Reduction in Cortical Thickness in First-Episode Treatment-Na?ve Patients with Schizophrenia显示文摘Substantial evidence supports the neurodevelopmental hypothesis of schizophrenia.Meanwhile,progressive neurodegenerative processes have also been reported,leading to the hypothesis that neurodegeneration is a characteristic component in the neuropathology of schizophrenia.However,a major challenge for the neurodegenerative hypothesis is that antipsychotic drugs used by patients have profound impact on brain structures.To clarify this potential confounding factor,we measured the cortical thickness across the whole brain using highresolution T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in 145 first-episode and treatment-naive patients with schizophrenia and 147 healthy controls.The results showed that,in the patient group,the frontal,temporal,parietal,and cingulate gyri displayed a significant age-related reduction of cortical thickness.In the control group,age-related cortical thickness reduction was mostly located in the frontal,temporal,and cingulate gyri,albeit to a lesser extent.Importantly,relative to healthy controls,patients exhibited a significantly smaller age-related cortical thickness in the anterior cingulate,inferior temporal,and insular gyri in the right hemisphere.These results provide evidence supporting the existence of neurodegenerative processes in schizophrenia and suggest that these processes already occur in the early stage of the illness.Yin Lin Mingli Li Yi Zhou Wei Deng Xiaohong Ma Qiang Wang Wanjun Guo Yinfei Li Lijun Jiang Xun Hu Nanyin Zhang Tao Li 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,4:5
6Ultraflat, broadband, and highly coherent supercontinuum generation in all-solid microstructured optical fibers with all-normal dispersion显示文摘High flatness, wide bandwidth, and high-coherence properties of supercontinuum(SC) generation in fibers are crucial in many applications. It is challenging to achieve SC spectra in a combination of the properties, since special dispersion profiles are required, especially when pump pulses with duration over 100 fs are employed. We propose an all-solid microstructured fiber composed only of hexagonal glass elements. The optimized fiber possesses an ultraflat all-normal dispersion profile, covering a wide wavelength interval of approximately 1.55 μm. An SC spectrum spanning from approximately 1030 to 2030 nm(corresponding to nearly one octave) with flatness<3 dB is numerically generated in the fiber with 200 fs pump pulses at 1.55 μm. The results indicate that the broadband ultraflat SC sources can be all-fiber and miniaturized due to commercially achievable 200-fs fiber lasers. Moreover, the SC pulses feature high coherence and a single pulse in the time domain, which can be compressed to 13.9-fs pulses with high quality even for simple linear chirp compensation. 10Testing the role of genetic variation of the MC4R gene in Chinese population in antipsychotic-induced metabolic disturbance显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced metabolic disturbance(AIMD) is a common adverse effect of antipsychotics with genetics partly underpinning variation in susceptibility among schizophrenia patients. Melanocortin4 receptor(MC4 R) gene, one of the candidate genes for AIMD, has been under-studied in the Chinese patients. We conducted a pharmacogenetic study in a large cohort of Chinese patients with schizophrenia. In this study, we investigated the genetic variation of MC4 R in Chinese population by genotyping two SNPs(rs489693 and rs17782313) in 1,991 Chinese patients and examined association of these variants with the metabolic effects that were often observed to be related to AIMD. Metabolic measures, including body mass index(BMI), waist circumference(WC), glucose, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein(HDL), and low-density lipoprotein(LDL) levels were assessed at baseline and after 6-week antipsychotic treatment. We found that interaction of SNP×medication status(drug-na?ve/medicated) was significantly associated with BMI, WC, and HDL change %, respectively. Both SNPs were significantly associated with baseline BMI and WC in the medicated group. Moderate association of rs489693 with WC, Triglyceride, and HDL change % were observed in the whole sample. In the drug-na?ve group, we found recessive effects of rs489693 on BMI gain more than 7%, WC and Triglyceride change %, with AA incurring more metabolic adverse effects. In conclusion, the association between rs489693 and the metabolic measures is ubiquitous but moderate. Rs17782313 is less involved in AIMD. 16Specific Regulation of m^(6)A by SRSF7 Promotes the Progression of Glioblastoma显示文摘Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 7(SRSF7),a known splicing factor,has been revealed to play oncogenic roles in multiple cancers.However,the mechanisms underlying its oncogenic roles have not been well addressed.Here,based on N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)co-methylation network analysis across diverse cell lines,we find that the gene expression of SRSF7 is positively correlated with glioblastoma(GBM)cell-specific m^(6)A methylation.We then indicate that SRSF7 is a novel m^(6)A regulator,which specifically facilitates the m^(6)A methylation near its binding sites on the mRNAs involved in cell proliferation and migration,through recruiting the methyltransferase complex.Moreover,SRSF7 promotes the proliferation and migration of GBM cells largely dependent on the presence of the m^(6)A methyltransferase.The two m^(6)A sites on the mRNA for PDZ-binding kinase(PBK)are regulated by SRSF7 and partially mediate the effects of SRSF7 in GBM cells through recognition by insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2(IGF2BP2).Together,our discovery reveals a novel role of SRSF7 in regulating m^(6)A and validates the presence and functional importance of temporal-and spatial-specific regulation of m^(6)A mediated by RNA-binding proteins(RBPs).Yixian Cun Sanqi An Haiqing Zheng Jing Lan Wenfang Chen Wanjun Luo Chengguo Yao Xincheng Li Xiang Huang Xiang Sun Zehong Wu Yameng Hu Ziwen Li Shuxia Zhang Geyan Wu Meisongzhu Yang Miaoling Tang Ruyuan Yu Xinyi Liao Guicheng Gao Wei Zhao Jinkai Wang Jun Li 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,4:1
