1Antimony smelting process generating solid wastes and dust:Characterization and leaching behaviors显示文摘A large amount of solid waste has been produced by the antimony smelting process in the'World Capital of Antimony', Xikuangshan area in China. This study comprehensively investigated the physical and chemical characteristics of the various solid wastes, as well as the leaching behavior of the solid wastes, which included water-quenched slag,arsenic-alkali residue, desulfurized slag and blast furnace dust. These four types of waste were enriched in a variety of heavy metals and metalloids and more specifically with As and Sb levels up to 8.6 × 104 and 3.16 × 105mg/kg, respectively, in arsenic-alkali residue. For desulfurized slag and water-quenched slag, the leaching concentration of Sb significantly exceeded the acceptable limits during the leaching tests using the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure and the synthetic precipitation leaching procedure. In addition, As leaching in arsenic-alkali residue was extraordinarily hazardous, being three orders of magnitude higher than the regulatory level of As. 2Genetic analysis of yield and fiber quality traits in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivated in different ecological regions of China显示文摘Background:Cotton is an important fiber crop worldwide.The yield potential of current genotypes of cotton can be exploited through hybridization.However,to develop superior hybrids with high yield and fiber quality traits,information of genetic control of traits is prerequisite.Therefore,genetic analysis plays pivotal role in plant breeding.Results:In present study,North Carolina II mating design was used to cross 5 female parents with 6 male parents to produce 30 intraspecific F1cotton hybrids.All plant materials were tested in three different ecological regions of China during the year of 2016-2017.Additive-dominance-environment(ADE)genetic model was used to estimate the genetic effects and genotypic and phenotypic correlation of yield and fiber quality traits.Results showed that yield traits except lint percentage were mainly controlled by genetic and environment interaction effects,whereas lint percentage and fiber quality traits were determined by main genetic effects.Moreover,dominant and additiveen vironine nt in teraction effects had more influence on yield traits,whereas additive and domi nance-e nviron ment interaction effects were found to be predominant for fiber traits.Broad-sense and its interaction heritability were significant for all yield and most of fiber quality traits.Narrow-sense and its interaction heritability were non-significant for boll number and seed cotton yield.Correlation analysis indicated that seed cotton yield had significant positive correlation with other yield attributes and non-significant with fiber quality traits.All fiber quality traits had signiflcant positive correlation with each other except micronaire.Conclusions:Results of current study provide important information about genetic control of yield and fiber quality traits.Further,this study identified that parental lines,e.g.,SJ48-1,ZB-1,851-2,and DT-8 can be utilized to improve yield and fiber quality traits in cotton.SHAHZAD Kashif LI Xue QI Tingxiang GUO Liping TANG Huini ZHANG Xuexian WANG Hailin ZHANG Meng ZHANG Bingbing QIAO Xiuqin XING Chaozhu WU Jianyong 2019Journal of Cotton Research2019,2,2:5
3A novel method for the improvement of power efficiency in high peak-to-average-power ratio communication systems显示文摘To solve the problem of low power efficiency of power amplifiers (PA) in the high peak-to-averagepower ratio (PAPR) communication system, a novel signal decomposed amplifier structure has been proposed in order to decrease the energy consumption and increase the power efficiency of PA. The high PAPR signal can be decomposed into several low PAPR branch signals, linearized and amplified in parallel. This structure can reduce the PAPR of branch signals and improve the power efficiency of PA. 4Ultrasensitive biosensors based on long-range surface plasmon polariton and dielectric waveguide modes显示文摘An ultrasensitive biosensor based on hybrid structure and composed of long-range surface plasmon polariton(LRSPP) and dielectric planar waveguide(PWG) modes is proposed. Both PWG and LRSPP modes have strong resonances to form strong coupling between the two modes, and the two modes can couple to enhance sensitivity of sensors. In the hybrid structure, PWG is composed of cytop–Si–cytop multilayers and the LRSPP configuration is composed of cytop–metal–sensing medium multilayer slabs. The highest imaging sensitivities of 2264 and3619 RIU-1were realized in the proposed sensors based on Au and Al-monolayer graphene, respectively, which are nearly 1.2 and 1.9 times larger than the 1910 RIU-1sensitivity of the conventional LRSPR sensor(LRSPP sensor). 6Genome-wide analysis of Rf-PPR-like(RFL)genes and a new InDel marker development for Rf1 gene in cytoplasmic male sterile CMS-D2 Upland cotton显示文摘Background: Cytoplasmic male sterility in flowering plants is a convenient way to use heterosis via hybrid breeding and may be restored by nuclear restorer-of-fertility(Rf) genes. In most cases, Rf genes encoded pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) proteins and several Rf genes are present in clusters of similar Rf-PPR-like(RFL) genes. However, the Rf genes in cotton were not fully characterized until now.Results: In total, 35 RFL genes were identified in G. hirsutum, 16 in G. arboreum, and 24 in G. raimondii. Additionally,four RFL-rich regions were identified; the RFL-rich region in Gh_D05 is the probable location of Rf-PPR genes in cotton and will be studied further in the future. Furthermore, an insertion sequence was identified in the promoter sequence of Gh_D05 G3392 gene in the restorer line, as compared with the CMS-D2 line and maintainer lines. An InDel-R marker was then developed and could be used to distinguish the restorer line carrying Rfl from other genotypes without the Rf1 allele.Conclusion: In this study, genome-wide identification and analysis of RFL genes have identified the candidate Rf-PPR genes for CMS in Gossypium. 7Comparative performance of hybrid generations reveals the potential application of F_(2)hybrids in upland cotton显示文摘Background:The utilization of heterosis has greatly improved the productivity of cotton worldwide.However,a major constraint for the large-scale promotion of F_(1) hybrid cotton is artificial emasculation and pollination.This study proposed the potential utilization of F_(2) hybrids to improve upland cotton production through a comparative evaluation of hybrid generations.Results:Eight upland cotton varieties were analyzed and crosses were made according to NCII incomplete diallel cross-breeding design in two cotton belts of China.Variance analysis revealed significant differences in agronomic,yield,and fiber quality in both generations and environments.The broad-sense heritability of agronomic and yield traits was relatively higher than quality traits.Furthermore,the narrow-sense heritability of some traits was higher in F_(2) than in the F_(1) generation in both cotton belts.Overall,parental lines Zhong901,ZB,L28,and Z98 were observed with maximum combining ability while combinations with strong special combining ability were ZB×DT,L28×Z98,and ZB×851.The yield traits heterosis was predominant in both generations.However,the level of heterosis was altered with trait,hybrid combination,generation,and environment.Interestingly,L28×Z98 performed outstandingly in Anyang.Its lint yield(LY)was 24.2%higher in F_(1) and 11.6%in F_(2) than that of the control Ruiza 816.The performance of SJ48×Z98 was excellent in Aral which showed 36.5%higher LY in F_(2)and 10.9%in F_(2)than control CCRI 49.Further results revealed most hybrid combinations had shown a low level of heterosis for agronomic and fiber quality traits in both generations.Comparatively,ZB×DT and L28×Z98 showed hybrid vigor for multiple traits in both generations and cotton belts.It is feasible to screen strong heterosis hybrid combinations with fine fiber in early generations.In the two environments,the correlation of some traits showed the same trend,and the correlation degree of Anyang site was higher than that of Aral site,and the correlation of some traits showed the opposite trend.According to the performance of strong heterosis hybrid combinations in different environments,the plant type,yield and fiber traits associated with them can be improved according to the correlation.Conclusions:Through comparative analysis of variance,combining ability,and heterosis in F_(2)and F_(2)hybrids in different cotton belts,this study proposed the potential utilization of F_(2)hybrids to improve upland cotton productivity in China.CHEN Liangliang TANG Huini ZHANG Xuexian QI Tingxiang GUO Liping SHAHZAD Kashif WANG Hailin QIAO Xiuqin ZANG Rong ZHANG Meng WU Jianyong XING Chaozhu 2022Journal of Cotton Research2022,5,2:2
8Towards carbon neutrality:A study on China's long-term low-carbon transition pathways and strategies显示文摘As the world's biggest carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emitter and the largest developing country,China faces daunting challenges to peak its emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality within 40 years.This study fully considered the carbon-neutrality goal and the temperature rise constraints required by the Paris Agreement,by developing six long-term development scenarios,and conducting a quantitative evaluation on the carbon emissions pathways,energy transformation,technology,policy and investment demand for each scenario.This study combined both bottom-up and top-down methodologies,including simulations and analyses of energy consumption of end-use and power sectors(bottom-up),as well as scenario analysis,investment demand and technology evaluation at the macro level(top-down).This study demonstrates that achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 translates to significant efforts and overwhelming challenges for China.To comply with the target,a high rate of an average annual reduction of CO_(2) emissions by 9.3%from 2030 to 2050 is a necessity,which requires a huge investment demand.For example,in the 1.5℃ scenario,an investment in energy infrastructure alone equivalent to 2.6%of that year's GDP will be necessary.The technological pathway towards carbon neutrality will rely highly on both conventional emission reduction technologies and breakthrough technologies.China needs to balance a long-term development strategy of lower greenhouse gas emissions that meets both the Paris Agreement and the long-term goals for domestic economic and social development,with a phased implementation for both its five-year and long-term plans.Jiankun He Zheng Li Xiliang Zhang Hailin Wang Wenjuan Dong Ershun Du Shiyan Chang Xunmin Ou Siyue Guo Zhiyu Tian Alun Gu Fei Teng Bin Hu Xiu Yang Siyuan Chen Mingtao Yao Zhiyi Yuan Li Zhou Xiaofan Zhao Ying Li Danwei Zhang 2022Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,1:2
9Analysis on Lean Blowout of Swirl Cup Combustor at Atmospheric Pressure Condition显示文摘The experimental data of lean blowout fuel/air ratio of a rectangular swirl cup combustor with different inlet temperatures was obtained at atmospheric pressure condition.Numerical simulations both burning and non-burning were performed corresponding to the experimental data at lean blowout.Results indicated that the size of the recirculation region in the primary zone was obviously smaller when burning than non-burning,but the locations of the cores of their recirculation regions were almost the same.The increase of inlet air temperature didn't mean the rise of the temperature of recirculation region core.The location of the maximum temperature in the primary zone was not the same as that one of the core temperature of the recirculation region.Further more,the reasons were analyzed how the lean blowout fuel/air ratio changed with the inlet temperature increasing under the actions of factors both positive and negative to combustion,and this would be helpful to deepen the understanding of the lean blowout process of swirl cup combustor.Yixiang Yuan Hailin Fan Xiyang Liu Qi Dong Chunqing Tan Baoting Guo 2011Journal of Thermal Science2011,20,4:2

12A high-quality chromosome-scale assembly of the centipedegrass[Eremochloa ophiuroides(Munro)Hack.]genome provides in sights into chromosomal structural evolution and prostrate growth habit显示文摘Centipedegrass[Eremochloa ophiuroides(Munro)Hack.],a member of the Panicoideae subfamily,is one of the most important warm-season turfgrasses originating from China.This grass has an extremely developed prostrate growth habit and has been widely used in transitional and warm climatic regions.To better understand the genetic basis of important biological characteristics,such as prostrate growth and seed yield,in warm-season turfgrasses,we present a high-quality reference genome for centipedegrass and use PacBio,BioNano,and Hi-C technologies to anchor the 867.43 Mb genome assembly into nine pseudochromosomes,with a scaffold N50 of 86.05 Mb and 36,572 annotated genes.Centipedegrass was most closely related to sorghum and diverged from their common ancestor~16.8 Mya.We detected a novel chromosome reshuf fling event in centipedegrass,namely,the nest chromosome fusion event in which fusion of chromosomes 8 and 10 of sorghum into chromosome 3 of centipedegrass likely occurred after the divergence of centipedegrass from sorghum.The typical prostrate growth trait in centipedegrass may be linked to the expansion of candidate PROSTRATE GROWTH 1(PROG1)genes on chromosome 2.Two orthologous genes of OsPROGl,EoPROGl,and EoPROG2,were con firmed to increase the stem number and decrease the stem angle in Arabidopsis.Collectively,our assembled reference genome of centipedegrass offers new knowledge and resources to dissect the genome evolution of Panicoideae and accelerate genome-assisted breeding and improvement of plant architecture in turf plants.Jingjing Wang Hailing Zi Rui Wang Jianxiu Liu Haoran Wang Rongrong Chen Ling Li Hailin Guo Jingbo Chen Jianjian Li Junqin Zong 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:1
13An Interpretation of the Influential Power of China Development显示文摘Through the analysis on China's economic development, utilization of resource environment and soft power, a basic judgment was made of the influence of 'China development'. The overall influential power of China development on international community was misunderstood. What we see is the role of 'China Factor' in different fields. In the process of economic globalization, what economic system of capitalist market has seen is 'China's cheap labor', 'China's loose economic system environment', 'earlier abuse of unlimited resource environment', 'China's broad consumption market' and 'demographic dividend'. In global or Asian financial crisis, what other countries valued was China's 'foreign currency' accumulated over the years. In global governance or crisis management, what international community expected was 'China's obligations and responsibilities' without the right of speech, etc.. All these are the 'passive' roles produced by 'a single factor' in definite fields. The active and initiative role China will play in international community still needs time and the continuous efforts of several generations. China once was a big country that had significant influential power on the world, and China's renaissance is a normal process of development of things. 14Genetic diversity in centipedegrass[Eremochloa ophiuroides(Munro)Hack.]显示文摘Genetic diversity is the heritable variation within and among populations,and in the context of this paper describes the heritable variation among the germplasm resources of centipedegrass.Centipedegrass is an important warmseason perennial C4 grass belonging to the Poaceae family in the subfamily Panicoideae and genus Eremochloa.It is the only species cultivated for turf among the eight species in Eremochloa.The center of origin for this species is southern to central China.Although centipedegrass is an excellent lawn grass and is most widely used in the southeastern United States,China has the largest reserve of centipedegrass germplasm in the world.Presently,the gene bank in China holds~200 centipedegrass accessions collected from geographical regions that are diverse in terms of climate and elevation.This collection appears to have broad variability with regard to morphological and physiological characteristics.To efficiently develop new centipedegrass varieties and improve cultivated species by fully utilizing this variability,multiple approaches have been implemented in recent years to detect the extent of variation and to unravel the patterns of genetic diversity among centipedegrass collections.In this review,we briefly summarize research progress in investigating the diversity of centipedegrass using morphological,physiological,cytological,and molecular biological approaches,and present the current status of genomic studies in centipedegrass.Perspectives on future research on genetics and genomics and modern breeding of centipedegrass are also discussed.Jianjian Li Hailin Guo Junqin Zong Jingbo Chen Dandan Li Jianxiu Liu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:1

18Layered manganese phosphorus trisulfides for high-performance lithium-ion batteries and the storage mechanism显示文摘Although advanced anode materials for the lithium-ion battery have been investigated for decades,a reliable,high-capacity,and durable material that can enable a fast charge remains elusive.Herein,we report that a metal phosphorous trichalcogenide of MnPS_(3)(manganese phosphorus trisulfide),endowed with a unique and layered van der Waals structure,is highly beneficial for the fast insertion/extraction of alkali metal ions and can facilitate changes in the buffer volume during cycles with robust structural stability.The few-layered MnPS_(3)anodes displayed the desirable specific capacity and excellent rate chargeability owing to their good electronic and ionic conductivities.When assembled as a half-cell lithium-ion battery,a high reversible capacity of 380 mA h g^(−1)was maintained by the MnPS_(3)after 3000 cycles at a high current density of 4 A g^(−1),with a capacity retention of close to or above 100%.In full-cell testing,a reversible capacity of 450 mA h g^(−1)after 200 cycles was maintained as well.The results of in-situ TEM revealed that MnPS_(3)nanoflakes maintained a high structural integrity without exhibiting any pulverization after undergoing large volumetric expansion for the insertion of a large number of lithium ions.Their kinetics of lithium-ion diffusion,stable structure,and high pseudocapacitance contributed to their comprehensive performance,for example,a high specific capacity,rapid charge-discharge,and long cyclability.MnPS_(3)is thus an efficient anode for the next generation of batteries with a fast charge/discharge capability.Hailin Shen Yueling Cai Zhongtao Ma Peng Wang Bingkun Guo Jipeng Cheng Qianqian Li Hongtao Wang Zhongyuan Liu Anmin Nie Jinsong Wu 2023Carbon Energy2023,5,3:1
