1Permian Alkaline Granites in Central Inner Mongolia and Their Geodynamic Significance显示文摘Alkaline granites (Rb-Sr ages 276-286 Ma)occurring in the Bayan Ul-East Ujimqin belt at the southern margin of the Siberian plate originated in a tensional tectonic environment about 60 Ma earlier than the Late Devonian to Early Carboniferous collision between the Siberian and Sino-Korean plates. They belong to post-orogenic A-type granites and may be used as an indicator of the end of the orogeny. At the northern margin of the Sino-Korean plate, however, only late-orogenic calc-alkaline granites occurred during the late Caboniferous-Permian, and alkaline syenites did not appear until the Late Triassic. 3Artificial periosteum in bone defect repair--A review显示文摘Periosteum is a thin membrane that encases the surfaces of most bones.It is composed of an outer fibrous layer contains longitudinally oriented cells and collagen fibers and an inner cambial layer that consists of multipotent mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and osteogenic progenitor cells.Periosteum has a function of regulating cell and collagen arrangement,which is important to the integrity,modelling and remodelling of bone,particularly during bone defect repair.Apart from autograft and allograft,artificial periosteum,or tissue-engineered periosteum mimicking native periosteum in structure or function,made up of small intestinal submucosa,acellular dermis,induced membrane,cell sheets,and polymeric scaffolds,and so on,has been developed to be used in bone defect repair.In this review,we classify the artificial periosteum into three approaches based on the material source,that is,native tissues,scaffoldfree cell sheets and scaffold-cell composites.Mechanisms,methods and efficacy of each approach are provided.Existing obstacles and enabling technologies for future directions are also discussed.Quan Wang Jianxiang Xu Haiming Jin Wenhao Zheng Xiaolei Zhang Yixing Huang Zhiyong Qian 2017Chinese Chemical Letters2017,28,9:6

5High Water Content in Primitive Mid-Ocean Ridge Basalt from Southwest Indian Ridge(51.56oE):Implications for Recycled Hydrous Component in the Mantle显示文摘The Southwest Indian Ridge(SWIR) is an ultraslow spreading end-member of mid-ocean ridge system and is characterized by weak or even an absence of magmatism. The segment between Indomed(ITF) and Gallieni(GTF) transform faults in the SWIR, however, displays extremely magmatic accretion with an unusual thick crust(up to 9.5 km). Although H_2O is present in trace amounts in the mantle, it has a strong influence on mantle melting and magmatism in the shallow crust. The mid-ocean ridge basalts(MORB) worldwide show strong variation in H_2O contents, but with a nearly uniform H_2O/Ce ratio. Regionally distinctive H_2O contents and H_2O/Ce ratios are inferred to be related to the H_2O variation in the source and can be used to constrain the mantle heterogenity. In this study, we measured the H_2O and trace elements of clinopyroxene phenocrysts from one basalt dredged from the ITF-GTF segment, SWIR(51.56 o E). The estimated H_2O content(1.3 wt.%± 0.3 wt.%) in the primitive ITF-GTF basaltic melt is much higher than that in typical MORB samples, but similar to oceanic island basalts(OIB) and back-arc basalts(BABB). In addition, the calculated H_2O/Ce ratio(1 672–4 990) are extremely high, bearing 'arc-like' signature. This study provides evidence that arc-related hydrous components are involved in the mantle source beneath the ITF-GTF ridge segment. 7An Efficient Priority-Driven Congestion Control Algorithm for Data Center Networks显示文摘With the emerging diverse applications in data centers,the demands on quality of service in data centers also become diverse,such as high throughput of elephant flows and low latency of deadline-sensitive flows.However,traditional TCPs are ill-suited to such situations and always result in the inefficiency(e.g.missing the flow deadline,inevitable throughput collapse)of data transfers.This further degrades the user-perceived quality of service(QoS)in data centers.To reduce the flow completion time of mice and deadline-sensitive flows along with promoting the throughput of elephant flows,an efficient and deadline-aware priority-driven congestion control(PCC)protocol,which grants mice and deadline-sensitive flows the highest priority,is proposed in this paper.Specifically,PCC computes the priority of different flows according to the size of transmitted data,the remaining data volume,and the flows’deadline.Then PCC adjusts the congestion window according to the flow priority and the degree of network congestion.Furthermore,switches in data centers control the input/output of packets based on the flow priority and the queue length.Different from existing TCPs,to speed up the data transfers of mice and deadline-sensitive flows,PCC provides an effective method to compute and encode the flow priority explicitly.According to the flow priority,switches can manage packets efficiently and ensure the data transfers of high priority flows through a weighted priority scheduling with minor modification.The experimental results prove that PCC can improve the data transfer performance of mice and deadline-sensitive flows while guaranting the throughput of elephant flows.Jiahua Zhu Xianliang Jiang Yan Yu Guang Jin Haiming Chen Xiaohui Li Long Qu 2020China Communications2020,17,6:2

13Mild hyperthermia synergized chemotherapy by Bi_(2)Se_(3)/MoSe_(2)nanosaucers for cancer treatment with negligible thermal resistance显示文摘Harsh photothermal temperatures(>50℃)caused heating damage to the normal tissues and induced thermal resistance in cancer cells,which significantly limited the safety and efficacy of photothermal therapy(PTT)in cancer treatment.Mild hyperthermia(<42℃)combined with chemotherapy might solve this issue.Herein,a novel transition metal dichalcogenides nanostructure,namely,Bi_(2)Se_(3)/MoSe_(2)nanosaucers(BMNSs),was designed to produce mild photo-hyperthermia(mPTT)and combined with chemotherapy to improve the overall antitumor efficacy.The BMNSs were constituted by Bi_(2)Se_(3)hexagonal nanoplates and enclosed with MoSe_(2)nanosheets evenly.While the MoSe_(2)moiety endowed the nanoplatform with excellent photothermal efficacy,the Bi_(2)Se_(3)substrates provided large specific surface area to anchor more doxorubicin(DOX)molecules as chemotherapeutic agent.Under the stimuli of mPTT/tumor acidic microenvironment,the tumor-specific drug release and the enhanced chemotherapy could be realized,showing impressive therapeutic outcomes against 4T1 cells.The synergetic therapeutic mechanism might be attributed to the mPTT induced cell membrane permeability,and interestingly,the expression of heat shock proteins 70 was not elevated obviously after the synergetic therapy,thus to avoid the tumor thermal resistance and further improve the therapeutic effect.The in vivo anti-tumoral performance of the BMNSs was further studied and complete tumor eradication was achieved without any recurrence and biotoxicity.Not only demonstrating a paradigm of high therapeutic efficacy of mild hyperthermia and synergistic chemotherapy for precise cancer therapy,our findings proved that the cancer therapeutic effect can be improved with minimal side effects through exquisite designing of the microstructures and the physiochemical properties of the nanoplatform.Fei Gao Tingbin Zhang Yuqing Miao Huijun Ma Hui Guo Ruyi Jin Zhi Li Haifang Wang Haiming Fan Lingyun Zhao 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:1
14Shock wave standoff distance of near space hypersonic vehicles显示文摘The shock wave standoff distances of near space hypersonic vehicles,which execute missions mainly at the altitude of 25 km to55 km,are vital in aerothermodynamic analysis.The implicit finite volume schemes are derived from axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations for chemical equilibrium flow,and programmed in FORTRAN.Taking a sphere cone for example,the effects of Mach numbers(from 22 to 36) on the shock wave standoff distance and the average density behind the shock are simulated at different altitudes from 25 km to 55 km.The numerical results illustrate that the turning point of the standoff distance is corresponding to that of the average density with the variation of Mach numbers.Based on the numerical results,we propose a formula for shock wave standoff distance,which is the function of the radius of the blunt body,the Mach number and the altitude in the atmosphere.Compared with previous correlations,the new formula can overcome the drawbacks of larger relative errors and complex calculations of the average density.HU YuMeng HUANG HaiMing GUO Jin 2017Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,8:1

19On the spring stratospheric final warming in CMIP5 and CMIP6 models显示文摘This study evaluates the performance in simulating the stratospheric final warming events(SFWs)that lead to the final collapse of the stratospheric polar vortex in spring in both Southern and Northern Hemispheres(SH and NH,respectively)based on the historical simulations provided by the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phases 5 and 6(CMIP5 and CMIP6,respectively).Overall,CMIP5 and CMIP6 models can reproduce the main characteristics of the occurrence of SFWs.However,the SFW onset date(SFWOD)is 7 and 9 days later than in observations in the SH and NH,respectively.Moreover,the intensity of SFWs in models is 50%to 70%of that in observations.Compared with CMIP5 models,CMIP6 models have an ameliorated capability to simulate NH SFWs.However,this improvement does not manifest as significantly earlier SFW onset,but as more intense stratospheric planetary wave activities before the SFWand as a larger interannual variability of the SFWOD.By contrast,in the SH,the capability of CMIP6 models is roughly unchanged,even deteriorated in the simulation of SFWOD and stratospheric planetary wave activities before the SFW onset.The performance of CMIP6 high-top models is better than that of lowtop models.Specifically,in the NH,high-top models are considerably improved in terms of intensity of circumpolar zonal wind around the SFWOD and stratospheric planetary wave activities before the SFW onset.In the SH,high-top models show fairly earlier SFWOD by 11 days,which is closer to observations.Jinggao HU Zexuan LIU Haiming XU Rongcai REN Dachao JIN 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,1:0
20Destruction of 4-phenolsulfonic acid in water by anodic contact glow discharge electrolysis显示文摘Destruction of 4-phenolsulfonic acid (4-PSA) in water was carried out using anodic contact glow discharge electrolysis. Accompanying the decay of 4-PSA, the amount of total organic carbon (TOC) in water correspondingly decreased, while the sulfonate group of 4- PSA was released as sulfate ion. Oxalate and formate were obtained as minor by-products. Additionally, phenol, 1,4-hydroquinone, hydroxyquinol and 1,4-benzoquinone were detected as primary intermediates in the initial stages of decomposition of 4-PSA. A reaction pathway involving successive attacks of hydroxyl and hydrogen radicals was assumed on the basis of the observed products and kinetics. It was revealed that the decay of both 4-PSA and TOC obeyed a first-order rate law. The effects of different Fe ions and initial concentrations of 4-PSA on the degradation rate were investigated. It was found that the presence of Fe ions could increase the degradation rate of 4-PSA, while initial concentrations lower than 80 mmol/L had no significant effect on kinetic behaviour.
