2Analysis on Factors Related to Rabies Epidemic in China from 2007-2011显示文摘To analyze features of the rabies epidemic in China between 2007 and 2011, identify factors influencing the epidemic and to provide a scientific basis for further control and prevention of rabies, Descriptive epidemiological methods and statistical analysis was used on data collected from the National Disease Reporting Information System between 2007 to 2011 and the National Active Surveillance System between 2007 and 2010. Our analysis shows that while the number of human rabies cases decreased year by year, the number of districts reporting cases did not show significant change. The situations in Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan provinces clearly improved over the period but they remain provinces with high-incidence, and consequently influence the epidemic situation of surrounding provinces and possibly the whole country. Summer and autumn were high-incidence seasons. Farmers, students and pre-school children represent the high-risk populations, and rates of cases in farmers increased, those for students decreased, and pre-school children remained unchanged. Provinces with active surveillance programs reported a total of 2346 individual cases, of which 88.53% were associated with canines. Postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) of rabies cases was not significantly improved, whereas PEP in post-exposure population was good. In rural regions of China, canine density was reduced somewhat, and the immunization rate increased slightly. Finally we show that while the epidemic decreased 2007 to 2011 in China, cases continued to be diffused in certain regions. Lack of standardization of PEP on rabies cases was the main reason of morbidity. 3The second natural gas hydrate production test in the South China Sea显示文摘Clayey silt reservoirs bearing natural gas hydrates(NGH)are considered to be the hydrate-bearing reservoirs that boast the highest reserves but tend to be the most difficult to exploit.They are proved to be exploitable by the first NGH production test conducted in the South China Sea in 2017.Based on the understanding of the first production test,the China Geological Survey determined the optimal target NGH reservoirs for production test and conducted a detailed assessment,numerical and experimental simulation,and onshore testing of the reservoirs.After that,it conducted the second offshore NGH production test in 1225 m deep Shenhu Area,South China Sea(also referred to as the second production test)from October 2019 to April 2020.During the second production test,a series of technical challenges of drilling horizontal wells in shallow soft strata in deep sea were met,including wellhead stability,directional drilling of a horizontal well,reservoir stimulation and sand control,and accurate depressurization.As a result,30 days of continuous gas production was achieved,with a cumulative gas production of 86.14×104 m3.Thus,the average daily gas production is 2.87×10^4 m^3,which is 5.57 times as much as that obtained in the first production test.Therefore,both the cumulative gas production and the daily gas production were highly improved compared to the first production test.As indicated by the monitoring results of the second production test,there was no anomaly in methane content in the seafloor,seawater,and atmosphere throughout the whole production test.This successful production test further indicates that safe and effective NGH exploitation is feasible in clayey silt NGH reservoirs.The industrialization of hydrates consists of five stages in general,namely theoretical research and simulation experiments,exploratory production test,experimental production test,productive production test,and commercial production.The second production test serves as an important step from the exploratory production test to experimental production test.Jian-liang Ye Xu-wen Qin Wen-wei Xie Hai-long Lu Bao-jin Ma Hai-jun Qiu Jin-qiang Liang Jing-an Lu Zeng-gui Kuang Cheng Lu Qian-yong Liang Shi-peng Wei Yan-jiang Yu Chunsheng Liu Bin Li Kai-xiang Shen Hao-xian Shi Qiu-ping Lu Jing Li Bei-bei Kou Gang Song Bo Li He-en Zhang Hong-feng Lu Chao Ma Yi-fei Dong Hang Bian 2020China Geology2020,3,2:22
4Collagen type Ⅱ suppresses articular chondrocyte hypertrophy and osteoarthritis progression by promoting integrin β1-SMAD1 interaction显示文摘Hypertrophic differentiation is not only the terminal process of endochondral ossification in the growth plate but is also an important pathological change in osteoarthritic cartilage.Collagen type II(COL2A1)was previously considered to be only a structural component of the cartilage matrix,but recently,it has been revealed to be an extracellular signaling molecule that can significantly suppress chondrocyte hypertrophy.However,the mechanisms by which COL2A1 regulates hypertrophic differentiation remain unclear.In our study,a Col2a1 p.Gly1170Ser mutant mouse model was constructed,and Col2a1 loss was demonstrated in homozygotes.Loss of Col2a1 was found to accelerate chondrocyte hypertrophy through the bone morphogenetic protein(BMP)-SMAD1 pathway.Upon interacting with COL2A1,integrinβ1(ITGB1),the major receptor for COL2A1,competed with BMP receptors for binding to SMAD1 and then inhibited SMAD1 activation and nuclear import.COL2A1 could also activate ITGB1-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation and,through ERK1/2-SMAD1 interaction,it further repressed SMAD1 activation,thus inhibiting BMP-SMAD1-mediated chondrocyte hypertrophy.Moreover,COL2A1 expression was downregulated,while chondrocyte hypertrophic markers and BMP-SMAD1 signaling activity were upregulated in degenerative human articular cartilage.Our study reveals novel mechanisms for the inhibition of chondrocyte hypertrophy by COL2A1 and suggests that the degradation and decrease in COL2A1 might initiate and promote osteoarthritis progression.Chengjie Lian Xudong Wang Xianjian Qiu Zizhao Wu Bo Gao Lei Liu Guoyan Liang Hang Zhou Xiaoming Yang Yan Peng Anjing Liang Caixia Xu Dongsheng Huang Peiqiang Su 2019Bone Research2019,7,1:17

6Expression Analysis of miRNAs and Highly-expressed Small RNAs in Two Rice Subspecies and their Reciprocal Hybrids显示文摘Heterosis,or hybrid vigor,is the phenomenon whereby progeny of two inbred lines exhibit superior agronomic performance compared with either parent.We analyzed the expression of miRNAs and highly expressed small RNAs (defined according to Solexa sequencing results) in two rice (Oryza sativa) subspecies (japonica cv.Nipponbare and indica cv.93-11) and their reciprocal hybrids using microarrays.We found that of all the 1141 small RNAs tested,140 (12%,140 of 1141) and 157 (13%,157 of 1141) were identified being significantly differentially expressed in two reciprocal hybrids,respectively.All possible modes of action,including additive,high-and low-parent,above high-and below low-parent modes were exhibited.Both F1 hybrids showed non-additive expression patterns,with downregulation predominating.Interestingly,15 miRNAs displayed stark opposite expression trends relative to midparent in reciprocal hybrids.Computational prediction of targets of differentially expressed miRNAs showed that they participated in multifaceted developmental pathways,and were not distinguishable from the targets of non-differentially expressed miRNAs.Together,our findings reveal that small RNAs play roles in heterosis and add a new layer in the understanding and exploitation of molecular mechanisms of heterosis.Fangfang Chen Guangming He Hang He Wei Chen Xiaopeng Zhu Manzhong Liang Liangbi Chen Xing Wang Deng 2010Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,11:10

8Magnesium-based biomaterials as emerging agents for bone repair and regeneration:from mechanism to application显示文摘Magnesium(Mg)is the fourth most abundant element in the human body and is important in terms of specific osteogenesis functions.Here,we provide a comprehensive review of the use of magnesium-based biomaterials(MBs)in bone reconstruction.We review the history of MBs and their excellent biocompatibility,biodegradability and osteopromotive properties,highlighting them as candidates for a new generation of biodegradable orthopedic implants.In particular,the results reported in the field-specific literature(280 articles)in recent decades are dissected with respect to the extensive variety of MBs for orthopedic applications,including Mg/Mg alloys,bioglasses,bioceramics,and polymer materials.We also summarize the osteogenic mechanism of MBs,including a detailed section on the physiological process,namely,the enhanced osteogenesis,promotion of osteoblast adhesion and motility,immunomodulation,and enhanced angiogenesis.Moreover,the merits and limitations of current bone grafts and substitutes are compared.The objective of this review is to reveal the strong potential of MBs for their use as agents in bone repair and regeneration and to highlight issues that impede their clinical translation.Finally,the development and challenges of MBs for transplanted orthopedic materials are discussed.Hang Zhou Bing Liang Haitao Jiang Zhongliang Deng Kexiao Yu 2021Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,3:9
9Shipborne Underwater Acoustic Communication System and Sea Trials with Submersible Shenhai Yongshi显示文摘The Shipborne acoustic communication system of the submersible Shenhai Yongshi works in vertical, horizontal and slant channels according to the relative positions. For ease of use, an array combined by a vertical-cone directional transducer and a horizontal-toroid one is installed on the mothership. Improved techniques are proposed to combat adverse channel conditions, such as frequency selectivity, non-stationary ship noise, and Doppler effects of the platform's nonlinear movement. For coherent modulation, a turbo-coded single-carrier scheme is used. In the receiver, the sparse decision-directed Normalized Least-Mean-Square soft equalizer automatically adjusts the tap pattern and weights according to the multipath structure, the two receivers' asymmetry, the signal's frequency selectivity and the noise's spectrum fluctuation. The use of turbo code in turbo equalization significantly suppresses the error floor and decreases the equalizer's iteration times, which is verified by both the extrinsic information transfer charts and bit-error-rate performance. For noncoherent modulation, a concatenated error correction scheme of nonbinary convolutional code and Hadamard code is adopted to utilize full frequency diversity. Robust and lowcomplexity synchronization techniques in the time and Doppler domains are proposed. Sea trials with the submersible to a maximum depth of over 4500 m show that the shipborne communication system performs robustly during the adverse conditions. 12Design, Synthesis and Antifungal Activity of Benzofuran and Its Analogues显示文摘Summary of main observation and conclusion Benzofuran has antifungal activity as the inhibitor of N-myristoyltransferase.Twenty-nine novel benzofuran-semicarbazide hybrids were designed and synthesized by principle of drug combinationatory.On this basis,the benzofuran ring was simplified to a resorcinol structure,and sixteen novel 1,3-dialkoxybenzene-semicarbazide hybrids were designed and synthesized.All structures of the target compounds were characterized by HRMS and NMR.The in vitro antifungal activity of target compounds was evaluated using the microdilution broth method against eight strains of pathogenic fungi with fluconazole as positive control.According to the results of the target compounds,structure-activity relationship(SAR)is summarized.The inhibitory activity against the tested strains of simplified compounds(K01-K16)has different levels improvement compared with compounds Z01-Z29.K01-K16 showed significant antifungal activities against A.fumigatus,C.kruseii,and sensitive C.albicans 5314.Notably,compounds Z20,Z22,K10,K11 and K16 also displayed different activities against two fluconazole-resistance strains that were isolated from AIDS patients.The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)values against fluconazole-resistant strains were in the range of 2-8μg/mL and 4-32μg/mL,respectively.Furthermore,molecular docking was performed to investigate the binding affinities and interaction modes between the target compound and N-myristoyltransferase.Hang Xu Zhuang Hou Zhen Liang Meng-Bi Guo Xin Su Chun Guo 2019Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,12:5

15Sub-micrometer-scale chemical analysis by nanosecond-laser-induced tip-enhanced ablation and ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry显示文摘The tip-enhanced near-field technique has drawn great attention recently becauseit is a promising technique for nanoscale chemical analysis when combined withother spectroscopic methods. Furthermore, this integration can improve the spatialresolution of mass spectrometry. In this stud~ a nanosecond-laser (nsqaser)-inducedtip-enhanced ablation and ionization source was coupled to an in-house-builtlaser ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Sub-micrometer-sized craters(with diameters of 200-300 nm) were observed on titanium (Ti) film coated ontoa gold (Au) substrate. The corresponding mass spectra were acquired, whichverified that sub-micrometer-sized ablation (and subsequently ionization) couldbe achieved by the ns-laser-induced tip-enhanced electromagnetic field. Inaddition, formation of the crater was studied with an increased number of laserpulses. 16Controllable photodynamic performance via an acidic microenvironment based on two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks for photodynamic therapy显示文摘Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is a widely-used technology for cancer therapy,but conventional photosensitizers still face some drawbacks,such as hydrophobicity,inadequate pharmacokinetics,low cell/tissue specificity,and uncontrollable photodynamic performance during the therapeutic process.Herein,we present a controllable photodynamic performance based on two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks(2D Zn-TCPP MOF)that displayed a week PDT effect under a neutral environment upon exposure to a 660 nm laser due to the degeneracy of Q bands of TCPP.However,the 2D Zn-TCPP MOF showed a significantly enhanced PDT effect in an acidic environment under irradiation with a 660 nm laser due to the released TCPP from decomposed MOF structure.From the in vitro outcomes,the 2D Zn-TCPP MOF showed controllable photodynamic performance from neutral to acidic environments.Due to the acidic tumor microenvironment,the 2D Zn-TCPP MOF presented the strongest antitumor effect in vivo under irradiation with a 660 nm laser.This work offers a promising strategy to develop a next-generation photosensitizer.Lifeng Hang Tao Zhang Hua Wen Lianbao Liang Wuming Li Xiaofen Ma Guihua Jiang 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:4
17Cyanobacteria-based near-infrared light-excited self-supplying oxygen system for enhanced photodynamic therapy of hypoxic tumors显示文摘Tumor hypoxia has been considered to induce tumor cell resistance to radiotherapy and anticancer chemotherapy,as well as predisposing for increased tumor metastases.Therefore,strategies for the eradication of the hypoxic tumor are highly desirable.Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is a new technique that can be used to treat tumors using laser irradiation to photochemically activate a photosensitizer.Compared to traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy,photodynamic therapy has many advantages,such as good selectivity,low toxicity,and less trauma and resistance.However,PDT is oxygen-dependent,and the lack of oxygen in hypoxic tumors renders photodynamic therapy ineffective.Cyanobacteria,the earliest photosynthetic oxygen-generating organisms,can utilize water as an electron donor to reduce CO_(2) into organic carbon compounds along with continuously releasing oxygen under sunlight.Inspired by this,herein,cyanobacteria were used as a living carrier of photosensitizer conjugated upconversion nanoparticles(UCNP)to construct a self-supplying oxygen PDT system.Improvement in the PDT efficiency for hypoxic tumors can be achieved as a result of in situ oxygen production by cyanobacteria under near-infrared(NIR)light using UCNP as a light harvesting antenna.A successful demonstration of this concept would be of great significance and could open the door to a new generation of carrier systems in the field of hypoxia-targeted drug transport platforms.Yinghua Zhang Huifang Liu Xinyue Dai Hang Li Xiaohan Zhou Shizhu Chen Jinchao Zhang Xing-Jie Liang Zhenhua Li 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:4

19Investigation of Portevin–Le Chatelier effect in rolled α-phase Mg-Li alloy during tensile and compressive deformation显示文摘Avoiding the Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)effect is very important concern for wrought Mg-Li alloys.In this study,the special PLC effect was found in rolled Mg-5Li-3Al-2Zn(LAZ532)alloy during tensile and compressive deformation.By observing microstructure evolution of the alloy during tensile and compressive deformation,it was found that prismaticand pyramidalslips were activated during tensile deformation,resulting in plenty of dislocation accumulation.In the deformation process after compressive yielding,the deformations in coarse grains and fine grains were dominated by{1012}extension twinning and grain boundary slip,respectively.Based on experimental result analysis,the sudden appearance of PLC effect in the later stage of axial tensile deformation(along rolled direction)was caused by interaction between solute atoms and dislocations.In the process of axial compressive deformation(along rolled direction),PLC effect presented the complex and changeable phenomenon of appeared-disappeared-appeared,which was mainly caused by the continuous nucleation of twin in the material,the activation of grain boundary slip and the shear deformation of twin,respectively.Xiaoqiang Li Chunlong Cheng Qichi Le Lei Bao Peipeng Jin Ping Wang Liang Ren Hang Wang Xiong Zhou Chenglu Hu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,17:3
20Tectonics-palaeogeomorphology in rift basins: controlling effect on the sequence architecture显示文摘The relationship between deposition and tectonics of sedimentary basins has been a significant subject in recent years.Using typical rift basins such as the Nanpu Sag as an example,combined with the analysis of the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of basins,we undertook a detailed study of the differences of the third-order sequences in different basins,the combination of depositional systems within the sequence framework and the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers.Our results revealed a significant relationship between the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of rift basins and the filling styles of sedimentary sequences.The basin structure plays a primary role in controlling the development of the third-order sequences and the boundary of these sequences is easily formed in basins with gentle slopes,shallow water and a small area.The characteristics of the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of rift basins are dominated by half-grabens of extensional faults,which affect the temporal and spatial combination of sedimentary systems within the sequences as well as the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers.Based on the development rules of the faults dominating the half-grabens of extensional faults,rift basins are classified into two types: the single fault segmented-linkage type and the multi-fault combination type.The main controlling factors of the temporal and spatial combination of sedimentary systems and the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers in different basins are different.The characteristics of early segmentation and later linkage of the faults play a critical role in controlling the sedimentary system combination within the sequence framework and the temporal and spatial differences of depocenters and subsidence centers of the single fault segmented-linkage rift basins,while the differences in fault activities are the dominating factors of the multi-fault combination rift basins.Ji Hancheng Jia Haibo Sun Simin Chen Liang Tang Yang Chen Wei Geng Yikai Zhou Hang 2013Petroleum Science2013,10,4:3
