1A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR RESERVOIR SEDIMENTATION AND FLUVIAL PROCESSES显示文摘This paper consists of two parts: mechanism of non-equilibrium transport of non-uniform sediment and its application in the mathematical model. Based on a statistic approach of sediment transport proposed by the authors, a 1 - D equation of non-e- quilibrium transport for various size group of sediment particles is developed. Then equations to predict change of sediment concentration and the corresponding changes in size distribution of suspended load and bed material are also derived. The conception that changes in size distribution are interrelated to sediment-carrying capacity is expounded. These results reveal the essence of sediment transport of non-uniform sediment particles. In the second part a mathematical model incorporating the mentioned equations to compute deposition and scouring in reservoirs as well as the fluvial processes of river channels has been developed. 2Abnormal expression of bHLH3 disrupts a flavonoid homeostasis network,causing differences in pigment composition among mulberry fruits显示文摘Mulberry fruits with high concentrations of anthocyanins are favored by consumers because of their good taste,bright color,and high nutritional value.However,neither the regulatory mechanism controlling flavonoid biosynthesis in mulberry nor the molecular basis of different mulberry fruit colors is fully understood.Here,we report that a flavonoid homeostasis network comprising activation and feedback regulation mechanisms determines mulberry fruit color.In vitro and in vivo assays showed that MYBA-bHLH3-TTG1 regulates the biosynthesis of anthocyanins,while TT2L1 and TT2L2 work with bHLH3 or GL3 and form a MYB-bHLH-WD40(MBW)complex with TTG1 to regulate proanthocyanidin(PA)synthesis.Functional and expression analyses showed that bHLH3 is a key regulator of the regulatory network controlling mulberry fruit coloration and that MYB4 is activated by MBW complexes and participates in negative feedback control of the regulatory network to balance the accumulation of anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins.Our research demonstrates that the interaction between bHLH3 and MYB4 in the homeostasis regulatory network ensures that the fruits accumulate desirable flavonoids and that this network is stable in pigmentrich mulberry fruits.However,the abnormal expression of bHLH3 disrupts the balance of the network and redirects flavonoid metabolic flux in pale-colored fruits,resulting in differences in the levels and proportions of anthocyanins,flavones,and flavonols among differently colored mulberry fruits(red,yellow,and white).The results of our study reveal the molecular basis of the diversity of mulberry fruit colors.Han Li Zhen Yang Qiwei Zeng Shibo Wang Yiwei Luo Yan Huang Youchao Xin Ningjia He 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:8
3Genome-wide identification and expression analyses of cytochrome P450 genes in mulberry(Morus notabilis)显示文摘Cytochrome P450 S play critical roles in the biosynthesis of physiologically important compounds in plants.These compounds often act as defense toxins to prevent herbivory.In the present study,a total of 174 P450 genes of mulberry(Morus notabilis C.K.Schn) were identified based on bioinformatics analyses.These mulberry P450 genes were divided into nine clans and 47 families and were found to be expressed in a tissue-preferential manner.These genes were compared to the P450 genes in Arabidopsis thaliana.Families CYP80,CYP92,CYP728,CYP733,CYP736,and CYP749 were found to exist in mulberry,and they may play important roles in the biosynthesis of mulberry secondary metabolites.Analyses of the functional and metabolic pathways of these genes indicated that mulberry P450 genes may participate in the metabolism of lipids,other secondary metabolites,xenobiotics,amino acids,cofactors,vitamins,terpenoids,and poiyketides.These results provide a foundation for understanding of the structures and biological functions of mulberry P450 genes.Bi Ma Yiwei Luo Ling Jia Xiwu Qi Qiwei Zeng Zhonghuai Xiang Ningjia He 2014Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,9:5
4Freeform OST-HMD system with large exit pupil diameter and vision correction capability显示文摘Compactness and light weight,large exit pupil diameter and distance,small distortion for virtual image,and see-through light paths are pivotal factors to achieve a better,wearable experience of optical see-through headmounted displays(OST-HMDs).In addition,light efficiency of the virtual image light path is an important factor for heat dissipation in HMD devices.This paper presents a new type of OST-HMD optical system that includes three wedge-shaped freeform prisms and two symmetric lenses.Based on a 0.71 in.microdisplay,an OST-HMD prototype with a diagonal field of view(FOV)of 45.3°,an F-number(F/#)of 1.8,an exit pupil size of 12 mm×8 mm,and an eye relief of 18 mm is demonstrated.The maximum value of distortion of the final system is 0.6%and 0.4%for virtual image and see-through light path,respectively.The overall dimension of the optical system per eye is no larger than 30 mm(width)×40 mm(height)×14 mm(thickness),and the weight of the optical module including lenses,holder,and microdisplay is 12.8 g.The light efficiency of the virtual image light path is up to 50%higher than those of other OST-HMD optical solutions.DEWEN CHENG JIAXI DUAN HAILONG CHEN HE WANG DANYANG LI QIWEI WANG QICHAO HOU TONG YANG WEIHONG HOU DONGHUA WANG XIAOYU CHI BIN JIANG YONGTIAN WANG 2022Photonics Research2022,10,1:5
5Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 6Enrichment of beneficial cucumber rhizosphere microbes mediated by organic acid secretion显示文摘Resistant cultivars have played important roles in controlling Fusarium wilt disease,but the roles of rhizosphere interactions among different levels of resistant cultivars are still unknown.Here,two phenotypes of cucumber,one resistant and one with increased susceptibility to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cucumerinum(Foc),were grown in the soil and hydroponically,and then 16S rRNA gene sequencing and nontargeted metabolomics techniques were used to investigate rhizosphere microflora and root exudate profiles.Relatively high microbial community evenness for the Foc-susceptible cultivar was detected,and the relative abundances of Comamonadaceae and Xanthomonadaceae were higher for the Foc-susceptible cultivar than for the other cultivar.FishTaco analysis revealed that specific functional traits,such as protein synthesis and secretion,bacterial chemotaxis,and small organic acid metabolism pathways,were significantly upregulated in the rhizobacterial community of the Foc-susceptible cultivar.A machinelearning approach in conjunction with FishTaco plus metabolic pathway analysis revealed that four organic acids(citric acid,pyruvate acid,succinic acid,and fumarate)were released at higher abundance by the Foc-susceptible cultivar compared with the resistant cultivar,which may be responsible for the recruitment of Comamonadaceae,a potential beneficial microbial group.Further validation demonstrated that Comamonadaceae can be“cultured”by these organic acids.Together,compared with the resistant cultivar,the susceptible cucumber tends to assemble beneficial microbes by secreting more organic acids.Tao Wen Jun Yuan Xiaoming He Yue Lin Qiwei Huang Qirong Shen 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:3
7Identification and characterization of genes involved in the jasmonate biosynthetic and signaling pathways in mulberry(Morus notabilis)显示文摘Jasmonate(JA) is an important phytohormone regulating growth, development, and environmental response in plants, particularly defense response against herbivorous insects. Recently, completion of the draft genome of the mulberry(Morus notabilis) in conjunction with genome sequencing of silkworm(Bombyx mori) provides an opportunity to study this unique plant‐herbivore interaction. Here, we identified genes involved in JA biosynthetic and signaling pathways in the genome of mulberry for the first time, with the majority of samples showing a tissue‐biased expression pattern. The analysis of the representative genes 12‐oxophytodienoic acid reductase(OPRs) and jasmonate ZIM‐domain(JAZs) was performed and the results indicated that the mulberry genome contains a relatively small number of JA biosynthetic and signaling pathway genes. A gene encoding animportant repressor, MnNINJA, was identified as an alternative splicing variant lacking an ethylene‐responsive element binding factor‐associated amphiphilic repression motif. 8Wld^(S),Nmnats and axon degeneration-progress in the past two decades显示文摘A chimeric protein called Wallerian degeneration slow(Wld^(S))was first discovered in a spontaneous mutant strain of mice that exhibited delayed Wallerian degeneration.This provides a useful tool in elucidating the mechanisms of axon degeneration.Over-expression of WldS attenuates the axon degeneration that is associated with several neurodegenerative disease models,suggesting a new logic for developing a potential protective strategy.At molecular level,although Wld^(S)is a fusion protein,the nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyl transferase 1(Nmnat1)is required and sufficient for the protective effects of Wld^(S),indicating a critical role of NAD biosynthesis and perhaps energy metabolism in axon degeneration.These findings challenge the proposed model in which axon degeneration is operated by an active programmed process and thus may have important implication in understanding the mechanisms of neurodegeneration.In this review,we will summarize these recent findings and discuss their relevance to the mechanisms of axon degeneration.Yan Feng Tingting Yan Zhigang He Qiwei Zhai 2010Protein & Cell2010,1,3:2
9Nickel single atom overcoordinated active sites to accelerate the electrochemical reaction kinetics for Li-S cathode显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries with high theoretical energy density are promising advanced energy storage devices.However,shuttling of dissolute lithium polysulfide(LiPSs)and sluggish conversion kinetics impede their applications.Herein,single nickel(Ni)atoms on two-dimensional(2D)nitrogen(N)-doped carbon with Ni-N_(4)-O overcoordinated structure(SANi-N_(4)-O/NC)are prepared and firstly used as a sulfur host of Li-S batteries.Due to the efficient polysulfides traps and highly LiPSs conversion effect of SANi-N_(4)-O/NC,the electrochemical performance of Li-S batteries obviously improved.The batteries can well operate even under high sulfur loading(5.8 mg cm^(-2))and lean electrolyte(6.1μL mg^(-1))condition.Meanwhile,density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that Ni single atom’s active sites decrease the energy barriers of conversion reactions from Li_(2)S_(8)to Li2S due to the strong interaction between SANi-N_(4)-O/NC and LiPSs.Thus,the kinetic conversion of LiPSs was accelerated and the shuttle effect is suppressed on SANi-N_(4)-O/NC host.This study provides a new design strategy for a 2D structure with single-atom overcoordinated active sites to facilitate the fast kinetic conversion of LiPSs for Li-S cathode.Juan Zhu Xinyue Wang Tian Ke Mingji Jia Biyu Jin Yuanyuan Li Qiwei Yang Lanhui Ren Yongyuan Ren Dangguo Cheng Jianguo Lu Xiang Gao Qinggang He Yang Hou Xiaoli Zhan Qinghua Zhang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,3:2
10Rolling reduction-dependent deformation mechanisms and tensile properties in aβtitanium alloy显示文摘This work investigated the dependence of deformation mechanisms and mechanical properties on cold rolling reductions of the metastable TB8 titanium alloy.Results shown that the crystal orientation of the matrix changes with the increasing level of reduction,leading to the activation of complex deformation mechanisms in the matrix.When the rolling reduction is 10%,the deformation mechanisms are dominated by dislocations and{332}<113>deformation twins.As the reductions increase to 20%-50%,the secondary deformation twinning(SDT)is triggered in primary deformation twins besides the primary kink band is activated.Meanwhile,the secondary kink bands and{332}<113>twins have be observed in the primary kink bands.When the reduction reaches to 60%,the deformation mechanisms are dominated by dislocations and deformation twins.Furthermore,the matrix refined by crisscrossing among the twins,kink bands and other deformation mechanisms during cold rolling,which shortens the dislocation mean free path and then affects the strength and shape of the alloy.The dynamic Hall-Petch effect and the interaction between multi-scale deformed structures control the work hardening behavior of the alloy.Zhaoxin Du Qiwei He Ruirun Chen Fei Liu Jingyong Zhang Fei Yang Xueping Zhao Xiaoming Cui Jun Cheng 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9:2

20Identification RAPD Markers Linked to Texture Quality of Chinese Cabbage显示文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to identify the random amplification of polymorphic DNA( RAPD) markers linked to chewy texture-controlling gene of Chinese cabbage. [Methods]The RAPD markers associated with chewy texture of Chinese cabbage were identified via bulked segregant analysis( BSA) in an F2 population derived from the cross between Hua 273( female parent) and 114 Fushan( male parent). [Results] OPA06-1400 was identified to be linked to the chewy texture-controlling gene of Chinese cabbage. The genetic distance between the target gene and the RAPD marker was 24. 8 cM.
