1The HuangZaoSi Maize Genome Provides Insights into Genomic Variation and Improvement History of Maize显示文摘Maize is a globally important crop that was a classic model plant for genetic studies. Here, we report a 2.2 Gb draft genome sequence of an elite maize line, HuangZaoSi (HZS). Hybrids bred from HZS-improved lines (HILs) are planted in more than 60% of maize fields in China. Proteome clustering of six completed sequeneed maize genomes show that 638 proteins fall into 264 HZS-specific gene families with the majority of contributions from tandem duplication events. Resequencing and comparative analysis of 40 HZSrelated lines reveals the breeding history of HILs. More than 60% of identified selective sweeps were clustered in identity.by.descent conserved regions, and yield-related genes/QTLs were enriched in HZS characteristic selected regions. Furthermore, we dem on strated that HZS-specific family genes were not uniformly distributed in the genome but enriched in improvement/function.related genomic regions. 2Design and experimental study of seed precise delivery mechanism for high-speed maize planter显示文摘Aiming at improving the seed spacing uniformity of maize planter at high forward speed,a seed precise delivery mechanism driven by electric motor has been developed and evaluated in laboratory.The mechanism was designed to deliver single seed from seed meter to furrow.Seed’s movement from the seed release point in a seed meter to the seed delivery cavity in the belt was analyzed,the mathematical model of seed movement in the seed precise delivery mechanism was established based on seed delivery time analysis.A mechanical prototype was designed and associated control system was developed.The performance contrast experiment was conducted between a traditional seed tube and newly developed seed precise delivery mechanism,and test results indicated that the qualities of feed index of the seed precise delivery mechanism were higher than those of the traditional seed tube delivery mechanism,and the coefficients of variation of the seed precise delivery mechanism were lower than those of the traditional seed tube delivery mechanism when the forward speed of planter was set at 10 km/h,12 km/h and 14 km/h,respectively.It indicated the seed precise delivery mechanism significantly improved seed spacing uniformity of maize planter compared with the traditional seed tube delivery mechanism.Quanwei Liu Tao Cui Dongxing Zhang Li Yang Yunxia Wang Xiantao He Mantao Wang 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,4:4
3Spatiotemporal pattern of urban forest leaf area index in response to rapid urbanization and urban greening显示文摘Rapid urbanization and urban greening have caused great changes to urban forests in China. Understanding spatiotemporal patterns of urban forest leaf area index(LAI) under rapid urbanization and urban greening is important for urban forest planning and management. We evaluated the potential for estimating urban forest LAI spatiotemporally by using Landsat TM imagery. We collected three scenes of Landsat TM(thematic mapper)images acquired in 1997, 2004 and 2010 and conducted a field survey to collect urban forest LAI. Finally, spatiotemporal maps of the urban forest LAI were created using a NDVI-based urban forest LAI predictive model.Our results show that normalized differential vegetation index(NDVI) could be used as a predictor for urban forest LAI similar to natural forests. Both rapid urbanization and urban greening contribute to the changing process of urban forest LAI. The urban forest has changed considerably from 1997 to 2010. Urban vegetated pixels decreased gradually from 1997 to 2010 due to intensive urbanization.Leaf area for the study area was 216.4, 145.2 and173.7 km^2 in the years 1997, 2004 and 2010, respectively.Urban forest LAI decreased sharply from 1997 to 2004 and increased slightly from 2004 to 2010 because of numerous greening policies. The urban forest LAI class distributions were skewed toward low values in 1997 and 2004. Moreover, the LAI presented a decreasing trend from suburban to downtown areas. 4Design of depth-control planting unit with single-side gauge wheel for no-till maize precision planter显示文摘No-till planters are very popular for maize seeding in fields covered with residue in annual wheat-maize double cropping system in North China Plain.However,there is no suitable depth control mechanism for existing no-till maize planters,and as a result,it is hard to obtain consistent planting depth,uniform emergence,and good passing ability at the same time.For the above reasons,a proper planting unit with a new type of depth-control mechanism was developed in this study.The mechanism consists of a single-side gauge wheel,a parallel four-bar linkage,a pair of double-disc opener,a V-shape press wheel and a depth regulator,which can adjust the planting depth from 30 mm to 90 mm to satisfy the agronomic requirement under different field conditions.Based on analysis and calculation,the width of gauge wheel was set to 50 mm while the length of parallel four-bar linkage was set to 350 mm.Field experiment was conducted and the results indicated that the newly designed planting unit with single-side gauge wheel performed well with regard to planting depth uniformity and anti-blocking ability.The planting depth uniformity and seed spacing quality were 95.45%and 91.90%,respectively,when the average height of stubble was 22.5 cm and residue amount was 0.64 kg/m^(2)in the field.It can satisfy the requirement of no-till maize planting on the cropland with residue and stubble in North China Plain.Zhang Rui Cui Tao Han Dandan Zhang Dongxing Li Kehong Yin Xiaowei Wang Yunxia He Xiantao Yang Li 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6:4

6Synthesis and electrochemical properties of Zn_3V_3O_8 as novel anode material显示文摘Zn_3V_3O_8 two-dimensional micro sheets are successfully synthesized by combination of solvothermal method and heat treatment. The X-ray diffraction(XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy(SEM) are used to characterize the structure and morphology of the samples, and the battery testing system is used to investigate its electrochemical performance. The results show that the Zn_3V_3O_8 is successfully obtained using mix solvent(water:ethylene glycol =1:1), and the sample takes on morphology of two-dimensional sheets. The initial discharge capacity for Zn_3V_3O_8 two-dimensional micro sheets is 752.0 mAh/g at 100 mA/g in the voltage range of 0.01-3 V. After heat treatment in a tube furnace at 550 ℃, the sample had the initial discharge capacity as 1152.0 mAh/g and maintained it at 901.4 mAh/g after 100 cycles. 7Post-treatment by an ionic tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate for improved efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells显示文摘Interface engineering is an effective way to improve efficiency and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,an ionic compound tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate(TP6)is adopted to passivate surface defects of the perovskite film.It is found that TP6 effectively reduced the surface defects,especially at the grain boundaries where the defects are abundant.Meanwhile,the exposed long alkyl chains and fluorine atoms in the TP6 enhanced the moisture stability of the perovskite film due to its strong hydrophobicity.In addition,the driving force of charge carrier separation and transport is increased by enlarged built-in potential.Consequently,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of PSCs is significantly improved from 20.59% to 22.41%by increased open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))and fill factor(FF).The unencapsulated device with TP6 treatment exhibits better stability than the control device,and the PCE retains-80%of its initial PCE after 30 days under 15%-25%relative humidity in storage,while the PCE of the control device declines by more than 50%.Chaoqun Zhang Xiaodong Ren Xilai He Yunxia Zhang Yucheng Liu Jiangshan Feng Fei Gao Ningyi Yuan Jianning Ding Shengzhong(Frank)Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,1:1

13MOFs-Based Nitric Oxide Therapy for Tendon Regeneration显示文摘Tendon regeneration is still a great challenge due to its avascular structure and low self-renewal capability.The nitric oxide(NO)therapy emerges as a promising treatment for inducing the regeneration of injured tendon by angiogenesis.Here,in this study,a system that NO-loaded metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)encapsulated in polycaprolactone(PCL)/gelatin(Gel)aligned coaxial scaffolds(NMPGA)is designed and prepared for tendon repair.In this system,NO is able to be released in vitro at a slow and stable average speed of 1.67 nM h^−1 as long as 15 d without a burst release stage in the initial 48 h.Furthermore,NMPGA can not only improve the tubular formation capability of endothelial cells in vitro but also obviously increase the blood perfusion near the injured tendon in vivo,leading to accelerating the maturity of collagen and recovery of biomechanical strength of the regenerated tendon tissue.As a NO-loaded MOFs therapeutic system,NMPGA can promote tendon regeneration in a shorter healing period with better biomechanical properties in comparison with control group by angiogenesis.Therefore,this study not only provides a promising scaffold for tendon regeneration,but also paves a new way to develop a NO-based therapy for biomedical application in the future.Jun Chen Dandan Sheng Ting Ying Haojun Zhao Jian Zhang Yunxia Li He Xu Shiyi Chen 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2:1

16Phosphorylation of an ethylene response factor by MPK3/MPK6 mediates negative feedback regulation of pathogen-induced ethylene biosynthesis in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plants under pathogen attack produce high levels of the gaseous phytohormone ethylene to induce plant defense responses via the ethylene signaling pathway.The 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate synthase(ACS)is a critical rate-limiting enzyme of ethylene biosynthesis.Transcriptional and post-translational upregulation of ACS2 and ACS6 by the mitogen-activated protein kinases MPK3 and MPK6 are previously shown to be crucial for pathogen-induced ethylene biosynthesis in Arabidopsis.Here,we report that the fungal pathogen Botrytis cinerea-induced ethylene biosynthesis in Arabidopsis is under the negative feedback regulation by ethylene signaling pathway.The ethylene response factor ERF1 A is further found to act downstream of ethylene signaling to negatively regulate the B.cinerea-induced ethylene biosynthesis via indirectly suppressing the expression of ACS2 and ACS6.Interestingly,ERF1 A is shown to also upregulate defensin genes directly and therefore promote Arabidopsis resistance to B.cinerea.Furthermore,ERF1 A is identified to be a substrate of MPK3 and MPK6,which phosphoactivate ERF1 A to enhance its functions in suppressing ethylene biosynthesis and inducing defensin gene expression.Taken together,our data reveal that ERF1 A and its phosphorylation by MPK3/MPK6 not only mediate the negativefeedback regulation of the B.cinerea-induced ethylene biosynthesis,but also upregulate defensin gene expression to increase Arabidopsis resistance to B.cinerea.Xiaoyang Wang Huicong Meng Yuxi Tang Yashi Zhang Yunxia He Jinggeng Zhou Xiangzong Meng 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,8:0
17Dietary ribose supplementation improves flesh quality through purine metabolism in gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio)显示文摘Since the aquaculture industry is currently observing a deterioration in the flesh quality of farmed fish,the use of nutrients as additives to improve the flesh quality of farmed fish species is a viable strategy.The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary D-ribose(RI)on the nutritional value,texture and flavour of gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio).Four diets were formulated containing exogenous RI at 4 gradient levels:0(Control),0.15%(0.15RI),0.30%(0.30RI)and 0.45%(0.45RI).A total of 240 fish(150±0.31 g)were randomly distributed into 12 fibreglass tanks(150 L per tank).Triplicate tanks were randomly assigned to each diet.The feeding trial was carried out in an indoor recirculating aquaculture system for 60 d.After the feeding trial,the muscle and liver of gibel carp were analysed.The results showed that RI supplementation did not result in any negative impact on the growth performance and 0.30RI supplementation significantly increased the whole-body protein content compared to the control group.The contents of collagen and glycogen in muscle were enhanced by RI supplementation.The alterations in the flesh indicated that RI supplementation improved the texture of the flesh in terms of its water-holding capacity and hardness,therefore improving the taste.Dietary RI facilitated the deposition of amino acids and fatty acids in the muscle that contributed to the meaty taste and nutritional value.Furthermore,a combination of metabolomics and expression of key genes in liver and muscle revealed that 0.30RI activated the purine metabolism pathways by supplementing the substrate for nucleotide synthesis and thereby promoting the deposition of flavour substance in flesh.This study offers a new approach for providing healthy,nutritious and flavourful aquatic products.Wanjie Cai Lele Fu Cui Liu Linyue He Haokun Liu Dong Han Xiaoming Zhu Yunxia Yang Junyan Jin Shouqi Xie 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,2:0
18P311 promotes typeⅡtransforming growth factor-βreceptor mediated fibroblast activation and granulation tissue formation in wound healing显示文摘Background:P311,a highly conserved 8 kDa intracellular protein,has recently been reported to play an important role in aggravating hypertrophic scaring by promoting the differentiation and secretion of fibroblasts.Nevertheless,how P311 regulates the differentiation and function of fibroblasts to affect granulation tissue formation remains unclear.In this work,we studied the underlying mechanisms via which P311 affects fibroblasts and promotes acute skin wound repair.Methods:To explore the role of P311,both in vitro and in vivo wound-healing models were used.Full-thickness skin excisional wounds were made in wild-type and P311−/−C57 adult mice.Wound healing rate,re-epithelialization,granulation tissue formation and collagen deposition were measured at days 3,6 and 9 after skin injury.The biological phenotypes of fibroblasts,the expression of target proteins and relevant signaling pathways were examined both in vitro and in vivo.Results:P311 could promote the proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts,enhance the ability of myofibroblasts to secrete extracellular matrix and promote cell contraction,and then facilitate the formation of granulation tissue and eventually accelerate skin wound closure.Importantly,we discovered that P311 acts via up-regulating the expression of type II transforming growth factor-βreceptor(TGF-βRII)in fibroblasts and promoting the activation of the TGF-βRII-Smad signaling pathway.Mechanistically,the mammalian target of rapamycin signaling pathway is closely implicated in the regulation of the TGF-βRII-Smad pathway in fibroblasts mediated by P311.Conclusions:P311 plays a critical role in activation of the TGF-βRII-Smad pathway to promote fibroblast proliferation and differentiation as well as granulation tissue formation in the process of skin wound repair.Jue Wang Ruoyu Shang Jiacai Yang Zhihui Liu Yunxia Chen Cheng Chen Wenxia Zheng Yuanyang Tang Xiaorong Zhang Xiaohong Hu Yong Huang Han-Ming Shen Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He 2022Burns & Trauma2022,10,1:0
19Obstruction of the formation of granulation tissue leads to delayed wound healing after scald burn injury in mice显示文摘Background:Delayed wound healing remains a common but challenging problem in patients with acute or chronic wound following accidental scald burn injury.However,the systematic and detailed evaluation of the scald burn injury,including second-degree deep scald(SDDS)and thirddegree scald(TDS),is still unclear.The present study aims to analyze the wound-healing speed,the formation of granulation tissue,and the healing quality after cutaneous damage.Methods:In order to assess SDDS and TDS,the models of SDDS and TDS were established using a scald instrument in C57BL/6 mice.Furthermore,an excisional wound was administered on the dorsal surface in mice(Cut group).The wound-healing rate was first analyzed at days 0,3,5,7,15 and 27,with the Cut group as a control.Then,on the full-thickness wounds,hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)staining,Masson staining,Sirius red staining,Victoria blue staining and immunohistochemistry were performed to examine re-epithelialization,the formation of granulation tissue,vascularization,inflammatory infiltration and the healing quality at different time points in the Cut,SDDS and TDS groups.Results:The presented data revealed that the wound-healing rate was higher in the Cut group,when compared with the SDDS and TDS groups.H&E staining showed that re-epithelialization,formation of granulation tissue and inflammatory infiltration were greater in the Cut group,when compared with the SDDS and TDS groups.Immunohistochemistry revealed that the number of CD31,vascular endothelial growth factor A,transforming growth factor-βandα-smooth muscle actin reached preferential peak in the Cut group,when compared with other groups.In addition,Masson staining,Sirius red staining,Victoria blue staining,Gordon-Sweets staining and stress analysis indicated that the ratio of collagen I to III,reticular fibers,failure stress,Young’s modulus and failure length in the SDDS group were similar to those in the normal group,suggesting that healing quality was better in the SDDS group,when compared with the Cut and TDS groups.Conclusion:Overall,the investigators first administered a comprehensive analysis in the Cut,SDDS and TDS groups through in vivo experiments,which further proved that the obstacle of the formation of granulation tissue leads to delayed wound healing after scald burn injury in mice.Yunxia Chen Xiaorong Zhang Zhihui Liu Jiacai Yang Cheng Chen Jue Wang Zengjun Yang Lei He Pengcheng Xu Xiaohong Hu Gaoxing Luo Weifeng He 2021Burns & Trauma2021,9,1:0
