| 1 | Total pollution effect of urban surface runoff显示文摘For pollution research with regard to urban surface runoff,most sampling strategies to date have focused on differences in land usage. With single land-use sampling,total surface runoffpollution effect cannot be evaluated unless every land usage spot is monitored. Through a new sampling strategy known as mixed stormwater sampling for a street community at discharge outlet adjacent to river,this study assessed the total urban surface runoffpollution effect caused by a variety of land uses and the pollutants washed off from the rain pipe system in the Futian River watershed in Shenzhen City of China.The water quality monitoring indices were COD(chemical oxygen demand),TSS(total suspend solid),TP(total phosphorus),TN(total nitrogen)and BOD(biochemical oxygen demand).The sums of total pollution loads discharged into the river for the four indices of COD,TSS,TN,and TP over all seven rainfall events were very different.The mathematical model for simulating total pollution loads was established from discharge outlet mixed stormwater sampling of total pollution loads on the basis of four parameters:rainfall intensity,total land area,impervious land area,and pervious land area.In order to treat surface runoffpollution,the values of MFF30(mass first flush ratio)and FF30(first 30%of runoffvolume) can be considered as split-flow control criteria to obtain more effective and economical design of structural BMPs(best management practices)facilities. | LUO Hongbing LUO Lin HUANG Gu LIU Ping LI Jingxian HU Sheng WANG Fuxiang XU Rui HUANG Xiaoxue | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,9: | 13 |
| 2 | Waste oyster shell as a kind of active filler to treat the combined wastewater at an estuary显示文摘Estuaries have been described as one of the most difcult environments on Earth. It is difcult to know how to treat the combined wastewater in tidal rivers at the estuary, where the situation is very diferent from ordinary fresh water rivers. Waste oyster shell was used as the active filler in this study in a bio-contact oxidation tank to treat the combined wastewater at the Fengtang Tidal River. With a middle-experimental scale of 360 m3/day, the average removal efciency of COD, BOD, NH3-N, TP and TSS was 80.05%, 85.02%,86.59%, 50.58% and 85.32%, respectively, in this bio-contact oxidation process. The living microbes in the biofilms on the waste oyster shell in this bio-contact oxidation tank, which were mainly composed of zoogloea, protozoa and micro-metazoa species, revealed that waste oyster shell as the filler was suitable material for combined wastewater degradation. This treatment method using waste oyster shell as active filler was then applied in a mangrove demonstration area for water quality improvement near the experiment area, with a treatment volume of 5 × 103m3/day. Another project was also successfully applied in a constructed wetland, with a wastewater treatment volume of 1 × 103m3/day. | 5 | The role of personality,social economic and prevention strategy effects on health-related quality of life among people living with HIV/AIDS显示文摘Background::HIV/AIDS has transformed into a chronic controllable but not yet curable infectious disease as other chronic diseases to some extent.The additional of so called fourth 90%that included the improved health-related quality of life(HRQoL)for people living with HIV(PLWHIV)required solutions beyond antiretroviral therapy and viral load suppression.This study will explore the role of personality,social economic and prevention strategy effection on HRQoL among people living with HIV/AIDS.Methods::A cross-sectional study was conducted among PLWHIV aged more than 16 years old in the 10 municipalities in Yunnan Province,China from October 2019 to May 2020,enrolling total 1997 participants.Individual-level HRQoL data were measured by 12-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-12)and EuroQol Five Dimensions Questionnaire(EQ-5D-5L).We assembled municipal-level data about social economic from Yunnan Statistical Yearbook in 2020 and strategy practice information from the self-evaluation system.We used the principal component analysis to build the social economic and strategy effect on each area respectively and one-way ANOVA was used to perform univariate analysis to identify the predictors with significant differences.Finally we used multi-level model(MLM)to explore the personality,social economic and strategy effects in health-related quality of life among PLWHIV.Results::The global score for quality of life measured using EQ-5D-5L had an estimated mean score(standard deviation,SD)of 0.901±0.146.The HRQoL score measured using PCS-12 had an estimated mean score(SD)of 46.62±8.55.The mean MCS-12 score(SD)was estimated to be 47.80±9.71.The area-level predictors explained a proportion of 13.6-17.2%for the between-area variation of the HRQoL scores,regardless of the total HRQoL,physical component and mental component.The impacts of stigma(P<0.01),social support(P<0.001),anxiety(P<0.001),depression(P<0.05)and social economic status(P<0.05)on HRQoL at the individual-level were significantly different.The plots visualized the impact of individual-level factors on a respondent’s HRQoL was modified by the area-level characteristics.Conclusions::The study identified the possible strategy determinant of individual HRQoL of PLWHIV and also the area effect on HRQoL.Stigma,social support,anxiety,depression and social economic status were the individual-level determinants on HRQoL.These could be a valuable resource for evaluating the overall health of the areas and help improve local decision making. | Xiaowen Wang Hongbing Luo Enlong Yao RenhaiTang Wenbin Dong Fuyong Liu Jun Liang Huilan Li Minyang Xiao Zuyang Zhang Jin Niu Lijun Song Liru Fu Xuehua Li Shicong Qian Qing Guo Zhizhong Song | 2021 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021,10,4: | 3 |

| 7 | Mechanically activated starch magnetic microspheres for Cd(Ⅱ)adsorption from aqueous solution显示文摘Magnetic starch microspheres(AAM-MSM)were synthesized via an inverse emulsion graft copolymerization by using mechanically activated cassava starch(MS)as a crude material,acrylic acid(AA)and acrylamide(AM)as graft copolymer monomers,and methyl methacrylate(MMA)as the dispersing agent and used as an adsorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ)ions from aqueous solution.Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM)were used to characterize the AAM-MSM adsorbent.The results indicated that AA,AM,and MMA were grafted to the MS,and the Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles were encapsulated in the AAM-MSM adsorbent microspheres.The adsorbent exhibited a smooth surface,uniform size,and good sphericity because of the addition of the MMA and provided more adsorption sites for the Cd(Ⅱ)ions.The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(Ⅱ)on the AAM-MSM was 39.98 mg·g^(-1).The adsorbents were superparamagnetic,and the saturation magnetization was 16.7 A·m^(2)·kg^(-1).Additionally,the adsorption isotherms and kinetics of the adsorption process were further investigated.The process of Cd(Ⅱ)ions adsorbed onto the AAM-MSM could be described more favorably by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isothermal adsorption models,which suggested that the chemical reaction process dominated the adsorption process for the Cd(Ⅱ)and chemisorption was the rate-controlling step during the Cd(Ⅱ)removal process. | Xinling Xie Xiaona Zhao Xuan Luo Tongming Su Youquan Zhang Zuzeng Qin Hongbing Ji | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,5: | 3 |

| 15 | Aggregation and fragmentation of agglomerates in a fluidized bed of mixed nanoparticles by adding FCC coarse particles显示文摘In this study, the influence of fluid cracking catalyst(FCC) on the fluidization behavior of ZnO-CuO binary nanoparticles was systematically investigated by varying FCC size. High-speed camera was employed to analyze the collision and fragmentation process of agglomerates with adding FCC coarse particles. It can be found from photographs by the camera that fluidization performance improved by the agglomerate variation that is bound to be shaped a compact and spherical structure. Furthermore, the result of agglomeration composition analysis showed that uniform mixing of nanoparticles remarkably affected the fluidization behavior of ZnO-CuO binary system. | 19 | Fluorescent digital image correlation techniques in experimental mechanics显示文摘White light has often been used for surface illumination to acquire images for digital image correlation(DIC) analysis. In recent years, fluorescent imaging technique has been introduced for illumination, surface deformation and topography measurements with applications on various materials including biomaterials(biofilms, etc.) at the microscale. Traditional imaging, with the use of white light, encounters technical issues such as specular reflection owing to moisture or smooth shiny surfaces(e.g., metallic or glass surfaces). As an alternative to white light, fluorescent imaging serves as a solution to resolve the issues of specular reflection.Fluorescent DIC techniques, especially the fluorescent stereo DIC, allow 3 D surface profilometry and deformation measurements at the microscale and submicron scale. Fluorescent stereo imaging under a microscope utilizes emission wavelengths that are different from illumination wavelengths to ensure clear images on any surface that might give reflections at certain angles when white light is used, allowing accurate metrology and deformation measurement. In addition microscopic fluorescent imaging provides nanoscale resolutions surpassing Abbe's diffraction limit.
