1History,progress and future challenges of artificial blood vessels:a narrative review显示文摘Cardiovascular disease serves as the leading cause of death worldwide,with stenosis,occlusion,or severe dysfunction of blood vessels being its pathophysiological mechanism.Vascular replacement is the preferred surgical option for treating obstructed vascular structures.Due to the limited availability of healthy autologous vessels as well as the incidence of postoperative complications,there is an increasing demand for artificial blood vessels.From synthetic to natural,or a mixture of these components,numerous materials have been used to prepare artificial vascular grafts.Although synthetic grafts are more appropriate for use in medium to large-diameter vessels,they fail when replacing small-diameter vessels.Tissue-engineered vascular grafts are very likely to be an ideal alternative to autologous grafts in small-diameter vessels and are worthy of further investigation.However,a multitude of problems remain that must be resolved before they can be used in biomedical applications.Accordingly,this review attempts to describe these problems and provide a discussion of the generation of artificial blood vessels.In addition,we deliberate on current state-of-the-art technologies for creating artificial blood vessels,including advances in materials,fabrication techniques,various methods of surface modification,as well as preclinical and clinical applications.Furthermore,the evaluation of grafts both in vivo and in vitro,mechanical properties,challenges,and directions for further research are also discussed.Ke Hu Yuxuan Li Zunxiang Ke Hongjun Yang Chanjun Lu Yiqing Li Yi Guo Weici Wang 2022Biomaterials Translational2022,3,1:3
2洛铂联合依托泊苷与顺铂联合依托泊苷一线治疗广泛期小细胞肺癌随机对照临床研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of Lobaplatin plus Etoposide (EL) and Cisplatin plus Etoposide (EP) regimens in chemonaive with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). Methods: Between July 2010 and July 2011, a total of 62 patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer who received initial treatment in our hospital and 309 hospital of PLA. 31 patients were randomly assigned to the EL Group: Lobaplatin was given intravenously at a dose of 30 mg/m2 on day 1 and Etoposide 100 mg/m2 on days 1 to 3 of 21-day cycles for a maximum of six cycles. Another 31 patients were assigned to the EP Group: Cisplatin was given intravenously at a dose of 75 mg/m2 on day 1 and Etoposide 100 mg/m2 on days 1 to 3 of 21-day cycles for a maximum of six cycles. We evaluated the efficacy, overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), the progression-free survival (PFS) and toxicity between the patients of the two groups. Results: All 62 patients were eligible. In the EL group, 2 (6.5%) patients had complete response, 20 (64.5%) patients had partial response, 5 (16.1%) patients had stable disease and 4 (12.9%) patients had progress disease. In the EP group, 2 (6.5%) patients had complete response, 22 (70.9%) patients had partial response, 4 (12.9%) patients had stable disease and 3 (9.7%) patients had progress disease. The ORR of EL and EP group were 70.9% and 77.4%, respectively, showing no significant difference (P = 0.562). The DCR of both groups were 87% and 90%, respectively, showing no significant difference (P = 0.688). Median PFS of patients with EL and EP regimens were 5.5 months and 5 months, respectively, showing no significant difference (P = 0.637). Adverse events were observed in all 62 patients. Grade 1 to 4 anemia was higher in the EP group than in EL group, showing significant difference (P = 0.02). Grade 3 and 4 thrombocytopenia was seen in 4 patients (12.9%) in EL group and 1 patient (3.2%) in EP group. Although one patient had platelet transfusion owing to Grade 4 thrombocytopenia in EL group, no significant difference (P = 0.637) were shown. The incidence of nausea/vomiting was higher in the EP group than in the EL group (96.7% vs 51.6%, P = 0.00). 3Financing strategies for coal-electricity supply chain under yield uncertainty显示文摘The financing strategies for a coal-electricity supply chain in which the coal company has capital constraint and faces yield uncertainty were studied. We propose an advance payment mechanism: in the coal company's initial production period, the electricity company provides advance payment to the coal company, and the coal company pays interest to the electricity company as the risk compensation. The optimal operation strategies for the coal company and the electricity company under the advance payment mechanism are derived and compared with those under the bank loan financing case. We find that,the expected profit functions of the coal company and the electricity company under the advance payment mechanism are the same with those under the case that the coal company has enough capital;under the advance payment mechanism, the profits of the coal company and the electricity company are higher than those under the bank financing case. 4Calculation and decomposition of regional household energy consumption in China:based on perspectives of urbanization and residents' consumption显示文摘Demographic urbanization caused great changes in scale of residents' consumption and residents' lifestyle and then impacted changes of regional household energy consumption. This paper expanded Logarithmic Mean Decomposition Index method through introducing variables of urbanization and residential consumption into the model. It also analyzed the influences of six factors as energy structure, energy intensity, population scale, urbanization, residential consumption, and consumption inhibit on regional household energy consumption. Results showed that in 2003-2012, impact of urbanization on regional household energy consumption of Chinese three areas was significantly higher than population size. The 'population gathered in eastern region' phenomenon caused eastern region getting the largest population scale effect. Driving force of residential consumption on regional household energy consumption was much higher than the other five effects. Due to the comparative advantage of residential consumption compared with government consumption, investment, and net export, the decrease of consumption ratio promoted the growth of regional household energy consumption. Energy intensity in Chinese three regions kept reducing in 2003-2012. 16Bandgap broadening at grain boundaries in single-layer MoS2显示文摘Two-dimensional semiconducting transition-metal dichalcogenides have attractedconsiderable interest owing to their unique physical properties and futuredevice applications. In particular, grain boundaries (GBs) have been oftenobserved in single-layer MoS2 grown via chemical vapor deposition, which cansignificantly influence the material properties. In this study, we examined theelectronic structures of various GBs in single-layer MoS2 grown on highlyoriented pyrolytic graphite using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy. 18Band structure manipulated by high pressure-assisted Te doping realizing improvement in thermoelectric performance of BiCuSeO system显示文摘Band structure engineering is an effective strategy for the improvement in thermoelectric performance,especially in electrical transport properties.In this work,high pressure is employed to assist Te doping to rapidly realize modulation of band structure in BiCuSe_(1-x)Te_(x)O,and then achieving a superhigh carrier mobility of 129.6 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1) due to significant reduction in the effective mass.The experimental observations have been verified by density functional theory(DFT)simulation.Meanwhile,the implementing of high pressure during synthesis process extends the optimization effect of Te doping on carrier-phonon transport of BiCuSeO system.The multiscale microstructures induced by synergistic effect of high pressure and Te content markedly modulate the scattering mechanisms of carriers and phonons,yielding an ultralow thermal conductivity of 0.3Wm^(-1)K^(-1) at 873 K and a moderate effect on low-energy carriers.Ultimately,a maximum zT of 0.86 at 873 K is achieved for BiCuSe_(0.8)Te_(0.2O),~21%improvement in comparison with the previous reported value for state-of-the-art BiCuSe_(1-x)Te_(x)O samples.This study provides a revelation for employing high pressure to manipulate band structure,promoting the effect of heteroatoms doping on the improvement in thermoelectric performance of the BiCuSeO or other systems.Zhongyuan Liu Xin Guo Rui Li Jieming Qin Hongjun Li Xin Chen Xiaoyuan Zhou 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,4:0
19Revealing alkali metal ions transport mechanism in the atomic channels of Au@a-MnO_(2)显示文摘Understanding alkali metal ions’(e.g.,Li^(+)/Na^(+)/K^(+))transport mechanism is challenging but critical to improving the performance of alkali metal batteries.Herein using a-MnO_(2)nanowires as cathodes,the transport kinetics of Li^(+)/Na^(+)/K^(+)in the 2×2 channels of a-MnO_(2)with a growth direction of[001]is revealed.We show that ion radius plays a decisive role in determining the ion transport and electrochemistry.Regardless of the ion radii,Li^(+)/Na^(+)/K^(+)can all go through the 2×2 channels of a-MnO_(2),generating large stress and causing channel merging or opening.However,smaller ions such as Li^(+)and Na^(+)cannot only transport along the[001]direction but also migrate along the<110>direction to the nanowire surface;for large ion such as K^(+),diffusion along the<110>direction is prohibited.The different ion transport behavior has grand consequences in the electrochemistry of metal oxygen batteries(MOBs).For Li-O_(2)battery,Li^(+)transports uniformly to the nanowire surface,forming a uniform layer of oxide;Na^(+)also transports to the nanowire surface but may be clogged locally due to its larger radius,therefore sporadic pearl-like oxides form on the nanowire surface;K^(+)cannot transport to the nanowire surface due to its large radius,instead,it breaks the nanowire locally,causing local deposition of potassium oxides.The study provides atomic scale understanding of the alkali metal ion transport mechanism which may be harnessed to improve the performance of MOBs.Jingzhao Chen Yong Su Hongjun Ye Yushu Tang Jitong Yan Zhiying Gao Dingding Zhu Jingming Yao Xuedong Zhang Tingting Yang Baiyu Guo Hui Li Qiushi Dai Yali Liang Jun Ma Bo Wang Haiming Sun Qiunan Liu Jing Wang Congcong Du Liqiang Zhang Yongfu Tang Jianyu Huang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,7:0
20TCMATHF:a bioinformatics platform to predict pharmacological action of drug and dynamic molecular changes against from myocardial infarction to heart failure显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the characteristics and regulations of medication in different stages of disease by constructing a dynamic disease network and a cellular feature network spanning from myocardial infarction to heart failure.METHODS Based on transcrip⁃tome and single-cell sequencing data from a mouse model of left anterior descending coro⁃nary artery ligation,a dynamic early-middle-late network and cellular feature network were con⁃structed by integrating differential gene expres⁃sion trends and biological functions.The robust⁃ness of the perturbation effect of traditional Chi⁃nese medicine(TCM)on the disease network was calculated based on multi-target TCM,and we acquired the foundational data by analyzing the results of effectiveness.The predictive plat⁃form was scrutinized and assessed with regards to the functional attributes of FDA approveddrugs and compound prescriptions,in order to determine the primary stages of intervention and the drug patterns actions in the progression of heart failure.RESULTS In this study,we devel⁃oped a prediction and analysis platform for assessing the efficacy of drugs using a networkbased approach.The accuracy of the system was validated by FDA approved-drugs.It was found that blood-activating drugs,heat-clearing drugs,and phlegm-expelling drugs exhibited favorable intervention effects during the early to middle stages of the disease by investigating the effects of single herbs and TCM prescriptions on disease progression.Similarly,phlegm-expelling drugs,spirit-nourishing drugs,and diuretic showed better intervention effects during the mid⁃dle to late stages.These findings were consis⁃tent with the clinical use of drugs.Analysis of the clustering heatmap results of TCM prescriptions revealed that the formulas aimed at qi stagnation and blood stasis had a strong effect in early stage,while the formulas for qi and yin deficiency and cardiorenal yang deficiency had a strong effect in the middle to late stages.Furthermore,analysis of the single-cell feature network demon⁃strated that TCM had advantages in modulating the changes in fibroblasts,myofibroblasts,endo⁃thelial cells,and granulocytes during the patho⁃logical process.Additionally,most prescriptions exhibited strong perturbation effects on the fea⁃ture network of NK-T cells,granulocytes,macro⁃phages,and myofibroblasts.CONCLUSION This platform quantitatively evaluates the primary action stages and characteristics of TCM and for⁃mulas involved in the dynamic process of myo⁃cardial infarction to heart failure based on the effective prediction of the efficacy of TCM and FDA approved-drugs.It provides reference for the precise clinical application of TCM and formu⁃las with multiple targets and multiple pathways.XI Yujie TANG Xuan GUO Feifei YANG Hongjun 2023中国药理学与毒理学杂志2023,37,S01:0
