| 1 | Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. | 2 | Metformin induces ferroptosis by targeting miR-324-3p/GPX4 axis in breast cancer显示文摘Metformin is a widely prescribed hypoglycemic drug.Many studies have shown its anti-cancer properties.In the present study,we aimed to explore the effect of metformin on breast cancer and clarify the underlying mechanism.Our results showed that metformin induced ferroptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells through upregulating miR-324-3p expression.Overexpression of miR-324-3p inhibited cancer cell viability.miR-324-3p inhibitor promoted cell viability.Further studies showed that the effect of miR-324-3p was mediated by directly targeting glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4).miR-324-3p bound to the 3ʹ-UTR of GPX4 and led to the downregulation of GPX4.In vivo studies showed that metformin induced ferroptosis by upregulating miR-324-3p in the xenograft model of breast cancer in mice.Our study suggested that metformin promotes ferroptosis of breast cancer by targeting the miR-324-3p/GPX4 axis.Metformin could act as a potential anti-cancer agent through the induction of ferroptosis. | Yifeng Hou Shuang Cai Shouyang Yu Hui Lin | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,3: | 11 |

| 4 | Simultaneous Determination of Five Hydrophilic and Lipophilic Components from roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza by HPLC显示文摘Objective A reversed-phase HPLC method was established for the simultaneous determination of five hydrophilic and lipophilic components in the roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza. Methods Hydrophilic components including danshensu, protocatechuic aldehyde, and salvianolic acid B, and lipophilic components such as cryptotanshinone and tanshinone IIA, were successfully separated on a Waters Symmetry C18 reversephase column(250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm), with acetonitrile-0.5% phosphoric acid(gradient elution) as mobile phase, the detection wavelength was set at 281 nm with flow rate of 1.0 m L/min, and the column temperature was maintained at 30 °C. Results The recovery of the method was in the range of 95.1%–102.5% and the precision was less than 3% for all five analytes. All the compounds showed good linearity(R2 > 0.9990) in a relatively wide concentration range. Therefore, this HPLC method demonstrated good reproducibility, stability, and accuracy in validation studies. | 8 | Association between Coronary Atherosclerotic Plaque Composition and Cardiovascular Disease Risk显示文摘Objective The objective of this study is to determine whether coronary atherosclerotic plaque composition is associated with cardiovascular disease(CVD) risk in Chinese adults. Methods We performed a cross-sectional analysis in 549 subjects without previous diagnosis or clinical symptoms of CVD in a community cohort of middle-aged Chinese adults. The participants underwent coronary computed tomography(CT) angiography for the evaluation of the presence and composition of coronary plaques. CVD risk was evaluated by the Framingham risk score(FRS) and the 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD) risk score. Results Among the 549 participants, 267(48.6%) had no coronary plaques, 201(36.6%) had noncalcified coronary plaques, and 81(14.8%) had calcified or mixed coronary plaques. The measures of CVD risk including FRS and ASCVD risk score and the likelihood of having elevated FRS significantly increased across the groups of participants without coronary plaques, with noncalcified coronary plaques, and with calcified or mixed coronary plaques. However, only calcified or mixed coronary plaques were significantly associated with an elevated ASCVD risk score [odds ratio(OR) 2.41; 95% confidence interval(CI) 1.09-5.32] compared with no coronary plaques, whereas no significant association was found for noncalcified coronary plaques and elevated ASCVD risk score(OR 1.25; 95% CI 0.71-2.21) after multivariable adjustment. | 10 | The first data release(DR1) of the LAMOST regular survey显示文摘The Large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST) general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the LAMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in June 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the LAMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in June 2013. The LAMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio(SNR) ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as LAMOST DR1 under the LAMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters: late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra(1 061 918 entries), A-type stars(100 073 entries), and M-type stars(121 522 entries). This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. | 11 | Designing heterostructured FeP–CoP for oxygen evolution reaction:Interface engineering to enhance electrocatalytic performance显示文摘It is significant to develop highly efficient electrocatalysts for energy conversion systems.Interface engineering is one of the most feasible approaches to effectively enhance the electrocatalytic activity.Herein,the density functional theory(DFT)calculations predict that the potential barriers of Fe sites at the interface of FeP–CoP heterostructures are lower than that of Fe sites in FeP nanoparticles(NPs),Co sites in CoP NPs,or Co sites in heterostructures.Motivated by the DFT calculation results,FeP–CoP heterostructures have been designed and synthesized by a metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)confined-phosphorization method.The FeP–CoP exhibits the lowest overpotential of 230 mV at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)for oxygen evolution reaction(OER),compared with FeP(470 mV)and CoP(340 mV),which outperforms most of transition metal-based catalysts.The Tafel analysis of FeP–CoP heterostructures shows an improved reaction kinetic pathway with the smallest slope of 90.3 mV·dec^(−1),as compared to the Tafel slopes of FeP NPs(137 mV·dec^(−1))and CoP NPs(114 mV·dec^(−1)).And the FeP–CoP shows extraordinary long-term stability over 24 h.The excellent activity and long-term stability of FeP–CoP derive from the synergistic effect between FeP and CoP. | Shuang Hou Ansai Zhang Qi Zhou Yingjie Wen Sixie Zhang Linfeng Su Xinjie Huang Tian Wang Kun Rui Cheng Wang Huiling Liu Zhiyi Lu Peilei He | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 2 |
| 12 | Lack of association between integrin αvβ3 gene polymorphisms and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in Han Chinese from Hubei, China显示文摘Hantaviruses belong to the family Bunyaviridae and cause hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS) in humans. β_3 integrins, including α_Vβ_3 and α_(Ⅱb)β_3 integrins, act as receptors on endothelial cells and play key roles in cellular entry during the pathogenesis of hantaviruses. Previous study demonstrated that the polymorphisms of integrin α_(Ⅱb)β_3are associated with susceptibility to hantavirus infection and the disease severity of HFRS in Shaanxi Province of China, rather than in Finland. However, the polymorphisms of integrin α_vβ_3 in patients with HFRS was incompletely understood. Here, we aimed to investigate the associations between polymorphisms in human integrin α_vβ_3 and HFRS in Han Chinese individuals. Ninety patients with HFRS and 101 healthy controls were enrolled in this study. Analysis of five single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) sites(rs3768777 and rs3738919 on ITGAV; rs13306487, rs5921, and rs5918 on ITGB3) was performed by Taq Man SNP genotyping assays and bi-directional PCR allele-specific amplification method. No significant differences were observed between the HFRS group and controls regarding the genotype and allele frequency distributions of any of the five SNP sites, and no associations were found between ITGAV polymorphisms/genotypes and disease severity.
