Renewable Energy Transmission by HVDC Across the Continent:System Challenges and Opportunities显示文摘Rapid development of renewable energy in China is driving a major shift in the characteristics and control requirements of the electricity grid.Since the best renewable energy resources are far away from load centers in the east and southeast, transmission over long distances is required.Over 20 high-voltage DC(HVDC)transmission lines, with a combined capacity exceeding 150 GW,are in operation or are currently under construction. This rapid expansion of new generation and transmission capacities based on power electronics starts to change the characteristics of the grid, especially in areas where they concentrate, creating new stability problems and operational challenges.New system theories and technologies are required to support the development and operation of a future grid that relies more and more on power electronics. This paper highlights the characteristics of power electronics as used in renewable energy generation and HVDC transmission systems, discusses the impacts of these power-electronics-based assets on grid stability and operational requirements, and identifies opportunities for the development of both new system theories and system technologies to support a national energy policy that emphasizes the use of clean energy. | Jian Sun Mingjie Li Zhigang Zhang Tao Xu Jingbo He Haijiao Wang Guanghui Li | 2017 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2017,3,4: | 43
Expression of neurocan mRNA and ultrastructure of brain tissue after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rats treated by electroacupuncture显示文摘We established a stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rat model by bilateral constriction of the renal artery with sliver loop clips. After ten weeks, middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced for 2 hours. The rats then received electro-acupuncture at Baihui (DU 20) and Dazhui (DU 14) after onset of ischemia for 30 days. In situ hybridization study showed that electroacupuncture significantly reduced the number of neurocan mRNA-positive cells in the ischemic penumbra and hippocampal tissues of rats. Electron microscopy results demonstrated that the structure of neurons and blood vessels in the ischemic tissues were restored with electroacupuncture. Overall, these data suggest that electroacupuncture may protect neurons against ischemic reperfusion injury in stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rats, which may be regulated by downregulation of expression of nerve inhibitory factor neurocan mRNA. | Feng Tan Saiying Wan Haike Wu Qiwen HUO Jinliang Wang Wenlin Chen Meifeng Fang Xiaolin Liu Xuewen Wang Jingbo Sun | 2011 | Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,36: | 8
Architectural proteins for the formation and maintenance of the 3D genome显示文摘Eukaryotic genomes are densely packaged into hierarchical three-dimensional(3D) structures that contain information about gene regulation and many other biological processes. With the development of imaging and sequencing-based technologies, 3D genome studies have revealed that the high-order chromatin structure is composed of hierarchical levels, including chromosome territories, A/B compartments, topologically associated domains, and chromatin loops. However, how this chromatin architecture is formed and maintained is not completely clear. In this review, we introduce experimental methods to investigate the 3D genome, review major architectural proteins that regulate 3D chromatin organization in mammalian cells, such as CTCF(CCCTC-binding factor), cohesin, lamins, and transcription factors, and discuss relevant mechanisms such as phase separation. | Mengfan Li Jingbo Gan Yuao Sun Zihan Xu Junsheng Yang Yujie Sun Cheng Li | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,6: | 7
Synthesis, biological activities and 3D-QSAR studies of(R)-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydrothiazole-4-carboxamide derivatives containing a sulfur ether moiety显示文摘A series of(R)-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydrothiazole-4-carboxamide derivatives containing a sulfur ether moiety were synthesized and characterized on the basis of NMR and elemental analysis(EA). The crystal structure of(R)-N-(2-methyl-1-(methylthio)propan-2-yl)-2-(4-nitrophenyl)-4,5-dihydrothiazole-4-carboxamide(13 d) was determined to show R configuration. The bioasssy results indicated that most title compounds displayed good and broad spectrum antifungal activities against several phytopathogenic fungi. The structure activity relationships were discussed. Based on the antifungal activity of title compounds against Phytophthora capsici, a CoMSIA calculation was performed to establish a 3 D-QSAR model, which revealed that electrostatic and hydrophobic fields were the two most significant factors for antifungal activity. According to the established 3D-QSAR model, structure optimization was carried out to find(R)-N-((R)-1-(methylthio)propan-2-yl)-2-(p-tolyl)-4,5-dihydrothiazole-4-carboxamide(15 h)with excellent activity against Phytophthora capsici, thus emerging as a new lead compound for novel antiphytopathogenic fungus agent development. | Jingbo Liu Fengyun Li Yuanhong Wang Haoxuan Zhang Jingyue Dong Pengwei Sun Yuxin Li Zhengming Li | 2019 | Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,3: | 5

Physical Layer Security in MIMO Wiretap Channels with Antenna Correlation显示文摘To investigate the impact of antenna correlation on secrecy performance in MIMO wiretap channels with Nakagami-m fading, the expressions of secrecy outage probability and positive secrecy probability were derived. Diversity order and array gain were also achieved for further insight. The study was based on the information theory that physical layer security can be guaranteed when the quality of the main channel is higher than that of the eavesdropper's channel. Monte Carlo simulations well validated the numerical results of analytic expressions. It was shown that antenna correlation is detrimental to secrecy performance when average SNR of the main channel is at medium and high level. Interestingly, when average SNR of the main channel reduces to low level, the effect of antenna correlation becomes benefi cial to secrecy performance. | Gangcan Sun Zhuo Han Jingbo Jiao Zhongyong Wang Dagang Wang | 2017 | China Communications2017,14,8: | 4
Searching for the Nano-Hertz Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background with the Chinese Pulsar Timing Array Data ReleaseⅠ显示文摘Observing and timing a group of millisecond pulsars with high rotational stability enables the direct detection of gravitational waves(GWs).The GW signals can be identified from the spatial correlations encoded in the times-of-arrival of widely spaced pulsar-pairs.The Chinese Pulsar Timing Array(CPTA)is a collaboration aiming at the direct GW detection with observations carried out using Chinese radio telescopes. This short article serves as a“table of contents”for a forthcoming series of papers related to the CPTA Data Release 1(CPTA DR1)which uses observations from the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. Here, after summarizing the time span and accuracy of CPTA DR1,we report the key results of our statistical inference finding a correlated signal with amplitude logA_(c)=-14.4_(-2.8)^(+1.0)for spectral index in the range ofα∈[-1.8,1.5]assuming a GW background(GWB)induced quadrupolar correlation. The search for the Hellings–Downs(HD)correlation curve is also presented, where some evidence for the HD correlation has been found that a 4.6σstatistical significance is achieved using the discrete frequency method around the frequency of 14 n Hz.We expect that the future International Pulsar Timing Array data analysis and the next CPTA data release will be more sensitive to the n Hz GWB,which could verify the current results. | Heng Xu Siyuan Chen Yanjun Guo Jinchen Jiang Bojun Wang Jiangwei Xu Zihan Xue RNicolas Caballero Jianping Yuan Yonghua Xu Jingbo Wang Longfei Hao Jingtao Luo Kejia Lee Jinlin Han Peng Jiang Zhiqiang Shen Min Wang Na Wang Renxin Xu Xiangping Wu Richard Manchester Lei Qian Xin Guan Menglin Huang Chun Sun Yan Zhu | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,7: | 3
Chaos-enhanced moth-flame optimization algorithm for global optimization显示文摘Moth-flame optimization(MFO)is a novel metaheuristic algorithm inspired by the characteristics of a moth’s navigation method in nature called transverse orientation.Like other metaheuristic algorithms,it is easy to fall into local optimum and leads to slow convergence speed. The chaotic map is one of the best methods to improve exploration and exploitation of the metaheuristic algorithms. In the present study,we propose a chaos-enhanced MFO(CMFO)by incorporating chaos maps into the MFO algorithm to enhance its performance. The chaotic map is utilized to initialize the moths’population, handle the boundary overstepping, and tune the distance parameter. The CMFO is benchmarked on three groups of benchmark functions to find out the most efficient one.The performance of the CMFO is also verified by using two real engineering problems. The statistical results clearly demonstrate that the appropriate chaotic map(singer map)embedded in the appropriate component of MFO can significantly improve the performance of MFO. | LI Hongwei LIU Jianyong CHEN Liang BAI Jingbo SUN Yangyang LU Kai | 2019 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2019,30,6: | 3
Dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction of silver nanoparticles in water using ionic liquid1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate显示文摘Using the ionic liquid(IL)1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate as the extractant and methanol as the dispersion solvent,a dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction method was developed to extract silver nanoparticles(AgN Ps)from environmental water samples.Parameters that influenced the extraction efficiency such as IL concentration,pH and extraction time were optimized.Under the optimized conditions, the highest extraction efficiency for AgN Ps was above 90% with an enrichment factor of >90.The extracted AgN Ps in the IL phase were identified by transmission electron microscopy and ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, and quantified by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry after microwave digestion, with a detection limit of 0.01 μg/L.The spiked recovery of AgN Ps was 84.4% with a relative standard deviation(RSD)of 3.8%(n = 6)at a spiked level of 5 μg/L,and 89.7% with a RSD of 2.2%(n = 6)at a spiked level of 300 μg/L,respectively.Commonly existed environmental ions had a very limited influence on the extraction efficiency. The developed method was successfully applied to the analysis of Ag NPs in river water, lake water, and the influent and effluent of a wastewater treatment plant, with recoveries in the range of 71.0%–90.9% at spiking levels of 0.11–4.7 μg/L. | Sha Chen Yuanjing Sun Jingbo Chao Liping Cheng Yun Chen Jingfu Liu | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,3: | 2
Compositional and structural engineering of inorganic nanowires toward advanced properties and applications显示文摘As natural one-dimensional confined electron transport channels and photonpropagation paths, nanowires (NWs) display unmatched properties and hugepotential for application in diverse fields. The ability to construct a nanoscalefunctional system would enable significant advances in the currently desiredminiaturized device integration. To date, the basic properties of all types ofnanowire crystals, including metallic NWs, as well as group IV-related, III-V/II-VI compounds, and metal oxide NWs, are well understood. Regarding futurework, compositional (ie, doping and alloying) and structural (defect andheterostructure) designs to flexibly realize custom-made functionality areemphasized. Along this line, recent progress is reviewed, including the basicproperties (nanowire mechanics, electronics, and photonics) and applicationssuch as photodetectors and chemical/biological sensors. A review of the correlationsbetween the compositional/structural configuration of nanowires and thecorresponding functionality is also presented. The future development directionof this field is concluded and highlighted at the end. | Yong Sun Bo Sun Jingbo He Chengxin Wang | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,4: | 2
Neuroprotective effect of the traditional Chinese herbal formula Tongxinluo: a PET imaging study in rats显示文摘Tongxinluo has been widely used in China for the treatment of acute stroke and for neuroprotection. However, there are few positron emission tomography(PET) studies on the neuroprotective effect of Tongxinluo on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in small animals. In the present study, Tongxinluo superfine powder suspension or its vehicle was administered intragastrically to rats for 5 successive days before middle cerebral artery occlusion. 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose(FDG) small animal PET imaging showed that at 1 and 2 weeks after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, glucose metabolism in the ischemic area was greater in rats that had received Tongxinluo than in those that had received the vehicle. Nissl staining showed that 2 weeks after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion, there was less neuronal loss in the prefrontal cortex in Tongxinluo-treated rats than in controls. In addition, Tongxinluo-treated animals showed better neurologic function and lower cerebral infarct volume than rats that received the vehicle. These findings suggest that Tongxinluo exhibits neuroprotective effects in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury and demonstrates that 18F-FDG small animal PET imaging is a useful tool with which to study the molecular pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine. | Xiao Cheng Haoxuan Luo Lihua Zhou Lixin Wang Jingbo Sun Yan Huang Enli Luo Yefeng Cai | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,13: | 2
Population Viability Analysis of Gloydius shedaoensis from Northeastern China:A Contribution to the Assessment of the Conservation and Management Status of an Endangered Species显示文摘Shedao pit-vipers(Gloydius shedaoensis) on Snake Island in the Liaoning Province,China, are among the most imperiled species in China. The isolated and unique populations are crucial in the recovery of this endangered species by providing a way for conservation and management.Research based on the ecological simulation tools can evaluate alternative mitigation strategies in terms of their benefits to the populations, which are vital for informed decision-making.In this paper, using the program VORTEX 9.42,we developed a population viability analysis(PVA) for the Shedao pit-viper to:(1) address the extinction likelihood of the population;(2) simulate population dynamics under various environment events,and(3) evaluate the efficacy of current protection and management strategies.Overall,we found the population to be susceptible to the factors of catastrophic events, mortality and environment capacity. The population is recovering slowly at present on account of improvement of habitat and greater food availability.Under the current conditions, the probability of extinction in 100 years is approximately zero. These data coincide with the evidence that the wild population may be arriving at K.Our results strengthen the view that protection and management can create a pronounced effect on populations of this endangered species. | LIU Peng SUN Lixin LI Jianli WANG Li ZHAO Wenge JIA Jingbo | 2010 | Asian Herpetological Research2010,1,1: | 2

Diffusion of helium in FCT zircon显示文摘To gain a better quantitative understanding of zircon(U-Th)/He ages and evaluate the applicability of zircon(U-Th)/He dating, the diffusion characteristics, He diffusion kinetics, helium partial retention zone(HePRZ), closure temperature, and(U-Th)/He ages were investigated using high-precision laboratory step heating experiments based on the thermally activated diffusion process. The ln(D/a^2) in Fish Canyon Tuff(FCT) zircons determined from laboratory step heating experiments was negatively correlated with reciprocal temperature, as expected for thermally activated volume diffusion. The zircon activation energies ranged from 144 to 184 kJ mol^(-1) with a mean of 169±12 kJ mol^(-1). The closure temperatures ranged from 144 to 216°C(a cooling rate of 10°C Ma^(-1) and an effective grain radius of 38–60 μm) with an average of 176±18°C. The calculated closure temperature increased with increasing cooling rate, yielding an average zircon He closure temperature of ~136°C at a slow cooling rate of 0.1°C Ma^(-1), whereas the closure value was ~199°C at a cooling rate of 100°C Ma^(-1). The closure temperature increased with the equivalent spherical radius assuming a constant cooling rate. The He ages from FCT zircons were negligibly affected by grain size because of the rapid cooling. He preserved in the zircon was sensitive to temperature and holding time, and the temperature range for zircon HePRZ gradually decreased with increasing holding time. The(U-Th)/He ages from 26 FCT zircons yielded an algorithmic mean of 28.3±0.3 Ma(S.E.) and a geometric mean of 28.4±0.3 Ma(S.E.), consistent with the ages of 28.4±1.9 Ma reported by other laboratories. The FCT zircons were characterized by rapid cooling, young(U-Th)/He ages with good reproducibility, and low alpha doses. Weak correlations between the He ages and effective uranium(eU) concentrations from the FCT zircons indicated radiation damage did not significantly affect He diffusivity. | Shun YU Wen CHEN Jingbo SUN Ze SHEN | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,4: | 1
Highly sensitive infrared polarized photodetector enabled by out-ofplane PSN architecture composing of p-MoTe_(2),semimetal-MoTe_(2)and n-SnSe_(2)显示文摘Leveraging the unique physical properties,two-dimensional(2D)materials have circumvented the disadvantages of conventional epitaxial semiconductors and held great promise for potential optoelectronic applications. So far,two main detector architectures including photodiode based on a van der Waals P-N junction or Schottky junction and phototransistor based on individual 2D materials or hybrids have been well developed. However,a trade-off between responsivity and speed always exists in those technologies thus hindering the overall performance improvement. Here,we propose a new device concept by sandwiching the 2D anisotropic semimetal between p-type and n-type semiconductors in the out-of-plane direction, called PSN architecture, realizing the improvement of each parameter including broad spectral coverage, fast speed, high sensitivity,power-free and polarization-sensitive.We stack the p-type 2H-MoTe_(2),Weyl semimetal 1T-MoTe_(2)and n-type SnSe_(2)layer-by-layer constructing vertical sandwich structure where the top and bottom layers contribute to the internal built-in electric field, the intermediate layer can facilitate the exciton dissociation and act as infrared polarized light sensitizers. As a result, this PSN device exhibits broadband photo-response from 405 to 1,550 nm without external bias supply. At optical communication band(1,310 nm),operating at self-driven mode and room temperature, the responsivity and detectivity can reach up to 64.2 mA·W^(–1)and 2.2×10^(11)Jones,respectively,along with fast speed on the order of millisecond. Moreover, the device simultaneously exhibits exceptional detection capability for infrared polarized light, demonstrating the anisotropic photocurrent ratio of 1.55 at 1,310 nm and 2.02 at 1,550 nm,which is attributed to the strong in-plane optical anisotropy of middle 1T-MoTe_(2)layer.This work develops a new photodetector scheme with novel PSN architecture toward broadband,self-power,polarized light sensing and imaging modules. | Yiming Sun Jingxian Xiong Xuming Wu Wei Gao Nengjie Huo Jingbo Li | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1
Late Mesozoic Tectono-Thermal History in the South Margin of Great Xing’an Range,NE China:Insights from Zircon and Apatite(U-Th)/He Ages显示文摘The Late Mesozoic tectono-thermal evolution and geodynamic setting of the Great Xing’an Range(GXR),particularly in the south margin, are still ambiguous. In this study,we present original low-temperature thermochronological data of six granitoid samples collected from Maanzi pluton in the south margin of the GXR.The apatite and zircon(U-Th)/He ages vary of 70.8 ± 4.3-119.0 ±7.0 Ma and 120.0 ± 7.1-146.7 ± 8.7 Ma,respectively.Further numerical inverse modeling results reveal that the granitoid plutons experienced a rapid cooling and exhumation stage during Early Cretaceous with a rate of ~5.0-6.0 ℃/Ma and ~0.14-0.17 mm/yr,respectively,including the western minor pluton emplaced during Early Permian and the major pluton crystallized in latest Jurassic, corresponding to the extensional tectonics in NE China. The rapid exhumation processes in the south margin of the GXR during the Early Cretaceous could be related to both the rollback of Paleo-Pacific oceanic plate and the collapse of thickened crust in the Mongol-Okhotsk Orogen. | Wen Zhang Shuangfeng Zhao Jingbo Sun Ze Shen Wen Chen | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,1: | 1
Effect of cyclovirobuxine D on human growth-associated protein 43 and neurocan expression in ischemic brain tissue of stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive rats显示文摘BACKGROUND: Experimental data indicate that human growth-associated protein 43 mRNA expression coincides with axonal growth during nerve ganglion development; while neurocan, secreted from astrocytes, can inhibit sprouting and elongation of the axonal growth cone. OBJECTIVE: To verify regulatory effects of cyclovirobuxine D (CVB-D) extracted from Chinese box branchlet on human growth-associated protein 43 (GAP-43), and neurocan expression in brain tissue of stroke-prone renovascular hypertensive (RHRSP) rats, at different time points after cerebral ische-mia/reperfusion. DESIGN: Randomized grouping design and controlled animal study. SETTING: This study was performed at the Center of Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (a national key laboratory) from March 2003 to September 2006. MATERIALS: 100 healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 2-3 months and weighing 90-120 g, were se- lected for this study. CVB-D was provided by Nanjing Xiaoying Pharmaceutical Factory (Batch number: 307701). METHODS: The initial tip of renal arteries was clamped bilaterally for 10 weeks to establish the RHRSP model. 100 RHRSP rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: naive group (n = 10), sham surgery group (n = 10), CVB-D group (n = 40), and lesion group (n = 40). Rats in the naive group did not undergo any treatment, and cervical vessels of rats in the sham surgery group were exposed, but not blocked. The right middle cerebral artery of rats in the CVB-D group and lesion group were occluded to establish cerebral ischemia. Rats in the CVB-D group were intraperitoneally injected with CVB-D (6.48 mg/kg) every day and with saline (1.5 mL/injection) twice a day. Rats in the lesion group were intraperitoneally injected with saline (2 mL/injection). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Immunohistochemistry was applied to detect GAP-43 and neurocan expression in the ischemic penumbra region of CVB-D and lesion brains at 2 hours post-cerebral ischemia and at 1, 7, 14, and 30 days post-perfusion (n = 10 at each time point). Similarly, GAP-43 and neurocan expres- sion was detected in the right hemisphere of na?ve and sham-operated animals. The results were expressed as positive cells. RESULTS: A total of 100 rats were included in the final analysis. The number of GAP-43 positive cells in- creased in the CVB-D group 1, 7, 14, and 30 days post-cerebral ischemia/perfusion compared to the lesion group, as indicated by a significant difference between the CVB-D and lesion group (P < 0.05-0.01). The number of neurocan-positive cells decreased in the CVB-D group on the first day compared to the model group; however, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). On post-ischemia days 7, 14, and 30, the number of neurocan-positive cells in the CVB-D group was significantly less than in the lesion group (P < 0.05). Both, GAP-43 and neurocan expression was not detectable in brains of na?ve and sham-operated animals. CONCLUSION: CVB-D treatment up-regulated GAP-43 expression and down-regulated neurocan expression in the ischemic region of RHRSP rats. | Feng Tan Wei Gu Saiying Wan Haike Wu Jinliang Wang Jingbo Sun Jiamao Cheng Xin Zhang Renfeng Huang | 2008 | Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,4: | 1
