2A series of naphthalimide azoles: Design, synthesis and bioactive evaluation as potential antimicrobial agents显示文摘A series of naphthalimide azoles as potential antibacterial and antifungal agents were conveniently and efficiently synthesized starting from commercially available 6-bromobenzo[de]isochromene-1,3-dione. All the new compounds were characterized by NMR, IR, MS and HRMS spectra. Their antimicrobial activities were evaluated against four Gram-positive bacteria, four Gram-negative bacteria and two fungi using two-fold serial dilution technique. The biological assay indicated that most of the prepared compounds exhibited inhibition to the tested strains. In particular, the triazolium derivatives not only gave higher efficacy than their corresponding precursory azoles, but also demonstrated comparable or even better potency than the reference drugs Chloromycin, Orbifloxacin and Fluconazole. Some factors including structural fragments, pH and ClogP values of the target molecules were also preliminarily discussed.DAMU Guri L. V. 3H-O-S-Cu-Pb Isotopic Constraints on the Origin of the Nage Cu-Pb Deposit, Southeast Guizhou Province, SW China显示文摘The Nage Cu-Pb deposit,a new found ore deposit in the southeast Guizhou province,southwest China,is located on the southwestern margin of the Jiangnan Orogenic Belt.Ore bodies are hosted in slate and phyllite of Neoproterozoic Jialu and Wuye Formations,and are structurally controlled by EW-trending fault.It contains Cu and Pb metals about 0.12 million tonnes with grades of 0.2 wt% to 3.4 wt% Cu and 1.1 wt% to 9.27 wt% Pb.Massive and disseminated Cu-Pb ores from the Nage deposit occur as either veinlets or disseminations in silicified rocks.The ore minerals include chalcopyrite,galena and pyrite,and gangue minerals are quartz,sericite and chlorite.The H-O isotopic compositions of quartz,S-Cu-Pb isotopic compositions of sulfide minerals,Pb isotopic compositions of whole rocks and ores have been analyzed to trace the sources of ore-forming fluids and metals for the Nage Cu-Pb deposit.The δ65CuNBS values of chalcopyrite range from-0.09% to +0.33‰,similar to basic igneous rocks and chalcopyrite from magmatic deposits.δ65CuNBS values of chalcopyrite from the early,middle and final mineralization stages show an increasing trend due to63Cu prior migrated in gas phase when fluids exsolution from magma.δ34SCDT values of sulfide minerals range from 2.7‰ to +2.8‰,similar to mantle-derived sulfur(0±3‰).The positive correlation between δ65CuNBS and δ34SCDT values of chalcopyrite indicates that a common source of copper metal and sulfur from magma.δDH2OSMOW and δ18OH2O-SMOW values of water in fluid inclusions of quartz range from 60.7‰ to 44.4‰ and +7.9‰ to +9.0‰(T=260°C),respectively and fall in the field for magmatic and metamorphic waters,implicating that mixed sources for H2O in hydrothermal fluids.Ores and sulfide minerals have a small range of Pb isotopic compositions(208Pb/204Pb=38.152 to 38.384,207Pb/204Pb=15.656 to 17.708 and 206Pb/204Pb=17.991 to 18.049) that are close to orogenic belt and upper crust Pb evolution curve,and similar to Neoproterozoic host rocks(208Pb/204Pb=38.201 to 38.6373,207Pb/204Pb=15.648 to 15.673 and 206Pb/204Pb=17.820 to 18.258),but higher than diabase(208Pb/204Pb=37.830 to 38.012,207Pb/204Pb=15.620 to 15.635 and206Pb/204Pb=17.808 to 17.902).These results imply that the Pb metal originated mainly from host rocks.The H-O-S-Cu-Pb isotopes tegather with geology,indicating that the ore genesis of the Nage Cu-Pb deposit is post-magmatic hydrothermal type.ZHOU Jiaxi WANG Jingsong YANG Dezhi LIU Jinhai 2013Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2013,87,5:7
4Oceanic pycnocline depth retrieval from SAR imagery in the existence of solitary internal waves显示文摘Oceanic pycnocline depth is usually inferred from in situ measurements. It is attempted to estimate the depth remotely. As solitary internal waves occur on oceanic pycnocline and propagate along it, it is possible to retrieve the depth indirectly in virtue of the solitary internal waves. A numerical model is presented for retrieving the pycnocline depth from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images where the solitary internal waves are visible and when ocean waters are fully stratified. This numerical model is constructed by combining the solitary internal wave model and a two-layer ocean model. It is also assumed that the observed groups of solitary internal wave packets on the SAR imagery are generated by local semidiurnal tides. 5Mitochondrial Ca^(2+) uptake in skeletal muscle health and disease显示文摘Muscle uses Ca^(2+) as a messenger to control contraction and relies on ATP to maintain the intracellular Ca^(2+) homeostasis. Mitochondria are the major sub-cellular organelle of ATP production. With a negative inner membrane potential, mitochondria take up Ca^(2+) from their surroundings, a process called mitochondrial Ca^(2+) uptake. Under physiological conditions, Ca^(2+) uptake into mitochondria promotes ATP production. Excessive uptake causes mitochondrial Ca^(2+) overload, which activates downstream adverse responses leading to cell dysfunction. Moreover, mitochondrial Ca^(2+) uptake could shape spatio-temporal patterns of intracellular Ca^(2+) signaling. Malfunction of mitochondrial Ca^(2+) uptake is implicated in muscle degeneration. Unlike non-excitable cells, mitochondria in muscle cells experience dramatic changes of intracellular Ca^(2+) levels. Besides the sudden elevation of Ca^(2+) level induced by action potentials, Ca^(2+) transients in muscle cells can be as short as a few milliseconds during a single twitch or as long as minutes during tetanic contraction, which raises the question whether mitochondrial Ca^(2+) uptake is fast and big enough to shape intracellular Ca^(2+) signaling during excitation-contraction coupling and creates technical challenges for quantification of the dynamic changes of Ca^(2+) inside mitochondria. 13Control of an Intermittent Outbreak Caused by an Emerging Pandrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii Clone ST457 in a Tertiary Hospital显示文摘Acinetobacter baumannii is a frequent cause of nosocomial infections.Here we report an intermittent outbreak caused by the emerging carbapenem-resistant A.baumannii(CRAB)clone ST457 and assess the effectiveness of patient screening for outbreak control.CRAB isolates were collected from 74 patients admitted to the respiratory intensive care unit of a tertiary hospital between May 2018 and March 2019.Fourteen CRAB isolates were assigned to ST457,and 13 belonged to an outbreak clone,as determined by phylogenomic analysis.Strict patient screening was started at the respiratory intensive care unit on May 2019,through which a ST457-positive patient transferred from the intensive care unit was detected.No positive patients were detected within 3months onwards.The results of this study highlight the importance of rigorous infection prevention and control measures,combined with patient screening,in controlling the CRAB outbreak.Chuqiu Zhang Tingting Xu Yang Ji Wenping Zheng Jingsong Wu Yuemei Lu Huiping Li Rongchang Chen Chen Qiu Kai Zhou 2021Infectious Microbes & Diseases2021,3,4:1

15Molecular mapping of two semidwarf genes in an indica rice variety Aitaiyin3(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Genetic analysis established that Aitaiyin3,a dwarf rice variety derived from a semidwarf cultivar Taiyin1,carries two recessive semidwarf genes.By using simple sequence repeat(SSR)markers,we mapped the two semidwarf genes,sd-1 and sd-t2 on chromosomes 1 and 4,respectively.Sd-t2 was thus named because the semidrawf gene sd-t has already been identified from Aitaiyin 2 whose origin could be traced back to Taiyin1.The result of the molecular mapping of sd-1 gene revealed it is linked to four SSR markers found on chromosome 1.These markers are:RM297,RM302,RM212,and OSR3 spaced at 4.7 cM,0 cM,0.8cM and 0 cM,respectively.Sd-t2 was found to be located on chromosome 4 using five SSR markers:two markers,SSR332 and RM1305 located proximal to sd-t2 are spaced 11.6 cM,3.8 cM,respectively,while the three distally located primers,RM5633,RM307,and RM401 are separated by distances of 0.4 cM,0.0 cM,and 0.4 cM,respectively.Zhao Xiangqiang Liang Guohua Zhou Jingsong Yan Changjie Cao Xiaoying Gu Minghong 2006Frontiers in Biology2006,1,2:0
