| 1 | Enhancing the antihepatitis B virus immune response by adefovir dipivoxil and entecavir therapies显示文摘Chronicity of hepatitis B(CHB)infection is characterized by a weak immune response to the virus.Entecavir(ETV)and adefovir dipivoxil(ADV)are effective in suppressing hepatitis B virus(HBV)replication.However,the underlying immune mechanism in the antiviral response of patients treated with nucleoside or nucleotide analogs is not clearly understood.In this study,regulatory T cells(Tregs)and intracellular cytokines,including IL-2,interferon(IFN)-γ,tumor-necrosis factor(TNF)-α and IL-4,were measured prior to and at 12,24,36 and 48 weeks after treatment with ETV or ADV.The cytokines were increased from 24 to 48 weeks after treatment.Higher levels of Th1 cytokines were observed with ETV(n=29)versus ADV(n=28)treatment.By contrast,the numbers of Tregs in both groups were decreased.The altered cytokine profile and cellular component was accompanied by a decrease in HBV DNA levels in both groups,which may contribute to their therapeutic effect in CHB infection.Our findings suggest that the antiviral effect of the drugs may be attributed not only to their direct effect on virus suppression but also to their immunoregulatory capabilities. | Yanfang Jiang Wanyu Li Lei Yu Jingjing Liu Guijie Xin Hongqing Yan Pinghui Sun Hong Zhang Damo Xu Junqi Niu | 2011 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,1: | 16 |

Prediction using traffic signal and road slope information is considered to improve the fuel economy. It is assumed that the automobile receives traffic signal information from intelligent transportation systems(ITS). Model predictive control is used to calculate optimal vehicle control inputs using traffic signal and road slope information. The performance of the proposed method was analyzed through computer simulation results. Both the fuel economy and the driving profile are optimized using the proposed approach. | 7 | Abrogation of Hn RNP L enhances anti-PD-1 therapy efficacy via diminishing PD-L1 and promoting CD8^(+) T cell-mediated ferroptosis in castration-resistant prostate cancer显示文摘Owing to incurable castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC)ultimately developing after treating with androgen deprivation therapy(ADT),it is vital to devise new therapeutic strategies to treat CRPC.Treatments that target programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)and programmed death ligand-1(PD-L1)have been approved for human cancers with clinical benefit.However,many patients,especially prostate cancer,fail to respond to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatment,so it is an urgent need to seek a support strategy for improving the traditional PD-1/PD-L1 targeting immunotherapy.In the present study,analyzing the data from our prostate cancer tissue microarray,we found that PD-L1 expression was positively correlated with the expression of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein L(Hn RNP L).Hence,we further investigated the potential role of Hn RNP L on the PD-L1 expression,the sensitivity of cancer cells to T-cell killing and the synergistic effect with anti-PD-1 therapy in CRPC.Indeed,Hn RNP L knockdown effectively decreased PD-L1 expression and recovered the sensitivity of cancer cells to T-cell killing in vitro and in vivo,on the contrary,Hn RNP L overexpression led to the opposite effect in CRPC cells.In addition,consistent with the previous study,we revealed that ferroptosis played a critical role in T-cell-induced cancer cell death,and Hn RNP L promoted the cancer immune escape partly through targeting YY1/PD-L1 axis and inhibiting ferroptosis in CRPC cells.Furthermore,Hn RNP L knockdown enhanced antitumor immunity by recruiting infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells and synergized with anti-PD-1 therapy in CRPC tumors.This study provided biological evidence that Hn RNP L knockdown might be a novel therapeutic agent in PD-L1/PD-1 blockade strategy that enhanced anti-tumor immune response in CRPC. | Xumin Zhou Libin Zou Hangyu Liao Junqi Luo Taowei Yang Jun Wu Wenbin Chen Kaihui Wu Shengren Cen Daojun Lv Fangpeng Shu Yu Yang Chun Li Bingkun Li Xiangming Mao | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2: | 4 |
| 8 | Overwhelming low ammonia escape and low temperature denitration efficiency via MnOx-decorated two-dimensional MgAl layered double oxides显示文摘Low temperature catalysts are attracting increasing attention in the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO with NH3.Mn Ox-decorated Mg Al layered double oxide(Mn/Mg Al-LDO)was synthesized via a facile fast pour assisted co-precipitation(FP-CP)process.Compared to the Mn/Mg Al-LDO obtained via slow drop assisted coprecipitation(SD-CP)method,the Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)has excellent activity.The Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)catalyst was shown to possess a high NO conversion rate of 76%-100%from 25 to 150℃,which is much better than the control Mn/Mg Al-LDO(SD-CP)(29.4%-75.8%).In addition,the Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)offered an enhanced NO conversion rate of 97%and a N2selectivity of 97.3%at 100℃;the NO conversion rate was 100%and the N2selectivity was 90%at 150℃with a GHSV of 60,000 h^-1.The Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)catalyst exhibited a smaller fragment nano-sheet structure(sheet thickness of 7.23 nm).An apparent lattice disorder was observed in the HRTEM image confirming the presence of many defects.The H2-TPR curves show that the Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)catalyst has abundant reducing substances.Furthermore,the enhanced surface acidity makes the NH3concentration of the Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)catalyst lower than 100 ml·m^-3after the reaction from 25 to 400℃.This can effectively reduce the ammonia escape rate in the SCR reaction.Thus,the Mn/Mg Al-LDO(FP-CP)catalyst has potential applications in stationary industrial installations for environmentally friendly ultra-low temperature SCR. | Junqi Tian Yanqin Li Xia Zhou Yongbin Yao DenghaoWang Jianming Dan Bin Dai Qiang Wang Feng Yu | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,7: | 4 |

| 10 | Enhanced selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH3 via porous micro-spherical aggregates of Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti mixed oxide nanoparticles显示文摘We rationally designed a high performance denitration(De-NOx) catalyst based on a micrometer-sized spherical Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD)catalyst for selective catalytic reduction(SCR). This was prepared by a co-precipitation and spray drying(CP-SD) method. The catalyst was systematically characterized, and its morphological structure and surface properties were identified. Compare with conventional Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP) catalysts, the Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD) catalyst had superior surface-adsorbed oxygen leading to enhanced 'fast NH3-SCR' reaction. The asobtained Mn–Ce–Fe–Ti(CP-SD) catalyst offered excellent NO conversion and N2 selectivity of 100.0% and 84.8% at 250℃, respectively, with a gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) of 40,000 h-1. The porous micro-spherical structure provides a larger surface area and more active sites to adsorb and activate the reaction gases. In addition, the uniform distribution and strong interaction of manganese, iron, cerium, and titanium oxide species improved H2O and SO2 resistance. However, the physiological mechanisms responsible for this phenomenon remain poorly understood. The present study analyzed 12 ischemic stroke patients, who were randomly assigned to two groups: one group underwent sham needling and true needling at the Waiguan (SJ 5) in the healthy upper limb and the other group underwent sham and true needling at a sham point. Functional magnetic resonance imaging results showed no activation points in brain tissues following needling at SJ 5. However, compared with sham needling at SJ 5, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated Broadmann 4, 6, 24, and 32 areas. In addition, compared to needling at the sham point, true needling at SJ 5 deactivated bilateral hypothalamus. | 14 | Probing deactivation by coking in catalyst pellets for dry reforming of methane using a pore network model显示文摘Dry reforming of methane(DRM) is an attractive technology for utilizing the greenhouse gases(CO_(2) and CH_(4)) to produce syngas. However, the catalyst pellets for DRM are heavily plagued by deactivation by coking, which prevents this technology from commercialization. In this work, a pore network model is developed to probe the catalyst deactivation by coking in a Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst pellet for DRM. The reaction conditions can significantly change the coking rate and then affect the catalyst deactivation. The catalyst lifetime is higher under lower temperature, pressure, and CH_(4)/CO_(2) molar ratio, but the maximum coke content in a catalyst pellet is independent of these reaction conditions. The catalyst pellet with larger pore diameter, narrower pore size distribution and higher pore connectivity is more robust against catalyst deactivation by coking, as the pores in this pellet are more difficult to be plugged or inaccessible.The maximum coke content is also higher for narrower pore size distribution and higher pore connectivity, as the number of inaccessible pores is lower. Besides, the catalyst pellet radius only slightly affects the coke content, although the diffusion limitation increases with the pellet radius. | 17 | Construction of hybrid constructed wetlands for phosphorus chemical industry tailwater treatment in the middle Yangtze river basin:Responses of plant growth and root-associated microbial communities显示文摘Constructed wetlands are commonly utilized to treat industrial wastewater due to their effectiveness,affordability,and environmental benefits.Many phosphorus chemical enterprises in the middle Yangtze River basin are facing high pollution load challenges and efforts are needed to improve removal efficiency of pollutants.This work was the first to use constructed wetlands for phosphorus chemical industry tailwater(PCITW)treatment.The new hybrid constructed wetlands(CWs)proposed were the aeration horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland(AHSCW)and the integrated vertical flow constructed wetland(IVCW),which were constructed on a pilot scale.Here,the effectiveness of pollutant removal along hybrid CWs,wetland plant growth,and rootassociated microbial community responses to the PCITW were investigated.The results showed that there was spatial variation in removal of carbon,nitrogen,and phosphorus in the hybrid CWs,and that the AHSCW and the IVCW played synergistic roles in the removal of pollutants.Compared with influent,the toxic effect of effluent to embryos of a rare minnow(Gobiocypris rarus)was alleviated.Exposure to the effluent resulted in no malformation or death for embryos.Plants and microorganisms in the wetland system of the phosphate chemical tailwater were then compared with the control system of municipal tailwater.Plants in the former system had lower root density,and higher average root diameter,root shoot ratio,specific root length,and specific surface area.Plant roots also had decreased NH_(4)^(+)uptake ability but increased Ca^(2+)uptake to adapt to the high load and complex pollution stress.Unlike the control system,stochastic mechanisms had a more important role than deterministic processes in shaping the microbial community assembly associated with the PCITW.Meanwhile,analysis of microbial network-level topological characteristics demonstrated substantial reduction in network interactions complexity and microbiome stability in the treatment system.Findings from this study suggest wetlands will be helpful for efficient purification of phosphorus chemical industry wastewater in the Yangtze River basin. | Qianzheng Li Yao Guo Junqi Yu Lu Yao Shun Liu Yahua Li Disong Chen Fei Peng Dong Xu Zhenbin Wu Qiaohong Zhou | 2023 | Water Biology and Security2023,2,3: | 1 |
