10.04 degree-per-hour MEMS disk resonator gyroscope with high-quality factor (510 k) and long decaying time constant(74.9 s)显示文摘The disk resonator gyroscope is an attractive candidate for high-performance MEMS gyroscopes.This gyroscope consists of a sensor and readout electronics,and the characteristics of the sensor directly determine the performance.For the sensor,a high-quality factor and long decaying time constant are the most important characteristics required to achieve high performance.We report a disk resonator gyroscope with a measured quality factor of 510 k and decaying time constant of 74.9 s,which is a record for MEMS silicon disk resonator gyroscopes,to the best of our knowledge.To improve the quality factor of the DRG,the quality factor improvement mechanism is first analyzed,and based on this mechanism two stiffness-mass decoupled methods,i.e.,spoke length distribution optimization and lumped mass configuration design,are proposed and demonstrated.A disk resonator gyroscope prototype is fabricated based on these design strategies,and the sensor itself shows an angle random walk as low as 0.001°/√h,demonstrating true potential to achieve navigation-grade performance.The gyroscope with readout electronics shows an angle random walk of 0.01°/√h and a bias instability of 0.04°/h at room temperature without compensation,revealing that the performance of the gyroscope is severely limited by the readout electronics,which should be further improved.We expect that the quality factor improvement methods can be used in the design of other MEMS gyroscopes and that the newly designed DRG can be further improved to achieve navigation-grade performances for high-end industrial,transportation,aerospace,and automotive applications.Qingsong Li Dingbang Xiao Xin Zhou Yi Xu Ming Zhuo Zhanqiang Hou Kaixuan He Yongmeng Zhang Xuezhong Wu 2018Microsystems & Nanoengineering2018,4,1:16
2Highly sensitive,sub-microsecond polymer photodetectors for blood oxygen saturation testing显示文摘Bottom surface of active layers and interface of indium tin oxide(ITO)electrodes and active layers play a crucial role in determining the performance of polymer photodetectors with photomultiplication(PM-PPDs).The interfacial trapped electron distribution closing to ITO electrodes will determine spectral response range and external quantum efficiency(EQE)of PMPPDs.The bottom interface is more sensitive than top interface when light is coming from the ITO side,and the larger density of generated charge on the bottom interfaces will induce interfacial band more bending for efficient charge tunneling injection.Highly sensitive and sub-microsecond PM-PPDs are achieved with PMBBDT:Y6(100:7,w/w)as active layers under forward bias,yielding EQE of 18,700%at 320 nm,21,700%at 600 nm and 16,400%at 810 nm under a bias of 7 V,respectively,as well as fast response time of 79μs.The high EQE of the PM-PPDs is attributed to efficient hole tunneling injection from ITO electrode under forward bias.The electron traps closing to ITO electrode will be quickly filled up when light is coming from ITO side,leading to interfacial band more bending for hole tunneling injection.Importantly,the PM-PPDs is performed to measure heart rate(HR)and blood oxygen saturation(SpO_(2)),and the measured data by the PM-PPDs are very similar with those obtained by commercial photodetectors.Zijin Zhao Baiqiao Liu Changlin Xie Yao Ma Jian Wang Ming Liu Kaixuan Yang Yunhua Xu Jian Zhang Weiwei Li Liang Shen Fujun Zhang 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,8:2
3DEAP1 encodes a fasciclin-like arabinogalactan protein required for male fertility in rice显示文摘Arabinogalactan proteins(AGPs)are widely distributed in plant cells.Fasciclin-like AGPs(FLAs)belong to a subclass of AGPs that play important roles in plant growth and development.However,little is known about the biological functions of rice FLA.Herein,we report the identification of a male-sterile mutant of DEFECTIVE EXINE AND APERTURE PATTERNING1(DEAP1)in rice.The deap1 mutant anthers produced aberrant pollen grains with defective exine formation and a flattened aperture annulus and exhibited slightly delayed tapetum degradation.DEAP1 encodes a plasma membrane-associated member of groupⅢplant FLAs and is specifically and temporally expressed in reproductive cells and the tapetum layer during male development.Gene expression studies revealed reduced transcript accumulation of genes related to exine formation,aperture patterning,and tapetum development in deap1 mutants.Moreover,DEAP1 may interact with two rice D6 PROTEIN KINASE-LIKE3 s(OsD6PKL3s),homologs of a known Arabidopsis aperture protein,to affect rice pollen aperture development.Our findings suggested that DEAP1 is involved in male reproductive development and may affect exine formation and aperture patterning,thereby providing new insights into the molecular functions of plant FLAs in male fertility.Dan Zhou Ting Zou Kaixuan Zhang Pingping Xiong Fuxing Zhou Hao Chen Gongwen Li Kaiyou Zheng Yuhao Han Kun Peng Xu Zhang Shangyu Yang Qiming Deng Shiquan Wang Jun Zhu Yueyang Liang Changhui Sun Xiumei Yu Huainian Liu Lingxia Wang Ping Li Shuangcheng Li 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7:2

5Rapid estimation of apple phenotypic parameters based on 3D reconstruction显示文摘In order to obtain the phenotypic parameters of apple quickly and accurately,which were commonly used as the basis of fruit sorting,a fast estimation method of apple phenotypic parameters based on three-dimensional(3D)reconstruction was proposed in this study.In this study,a three-dimensional model was constructed to estimate the phenotypic parameters of apple,such as volume,height,diameter,and fruit shape index.Firstly,an image acquisition system was built to capture sequence images of fruit with a binocular stereo vision system,and the images were extracted and matched using the Accelerated-KAZE algorithm to create the point cloud data.Secondly,the point cloud data were matched with the algorithm of Iterative Closest Point to establish a whole model of apple,and the surface reconstruction model of fruit was obtained by constructing irregular triangulation network.Finally,the apple phenotypic parameters were calculated by means of segmentation,surface complement and integral of the fruit model.Total of 200 apples were used as samples in the experiment.By this method,the phenotypic parameters of the apples were estimated based on their 3D reconstruction model,and the linear regression analysis was carried out between the estimated values and the real values.The results showed that R2 of the linear regression fitting of each parameter was higher than 0.90.Among them,the fitting of volume was the best with R2 of 0.97.In addition,the average errors of apple volume,height,fruit shape index,maximum diameter D and minimum diameter d were 8.73 cm3,1.43 mm,1.28%,0.90 mm,and 1.23 mm,respectively.According to the Chinese national standard of“fresh Apple”,the average error of the estimated result is within the range of allowable error.It indicates that the method of apple phenotypic parameter estimation based on 3D reconstruction has a high accuracy and practicability,and it can be used as the support for fruit sorting.Hao Ma Xu Zhu Jiangtao Ji Hui Wang Xin Jin Kaixuan Zhao 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,5:1

8Controllable growth of type-II Dirac semimetal PtTe2 atomic layer on Au substrate for sensitive room temperature terahertz photodetection显示文摘Platinum telluride(PtTe_(2)),a member of metallic transition metal dichalcogenides,provides a new platform for investigating various properties such as type-II Dirac fermions,topological superconductivity,and wide-band photodetection.However,the study of PtTe_(2)is largely limited to exfoliated flakes,and its direct synthesis remains challenging.Herein,we report the controllable synthesis of highly crystalline 2D PtTe_(2)crystals with tunable morphology and thickness via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)growth on Au substrate.By adjusting Te amount and substrate temperature,anisotropic and isotropic growth modes of PtTe_(2)were realized on the solid and molten Au substrates,respectively.The domain size of PtTe_(2)crystal was achieved up to 30μm,and its thickness can be tuned from 5.6 to 50 nm via controlling the growth time.Furthermore,a metal–PtTe_(2)–metal structural device was fabricated to validate the wide-band terahertz(THz)photodetection from 0.04 to 0.3 THz at room temperature.Owing to the high crystallinity of PtTe_(2)crystal,the photodetector acquires high responsivity(30–250 mA W-1 from 0.12 to 0.3 THz),fast response rate(rise time:7μs,decay time:8μs),and high-quality imaging ability.Our work demonstrates the feasibility for realistic exploitation of high-performing photodetection system at THz band based on the CVDgrown 2D Dirac semimetal materials.Yang Yang Kaixuan Zhang Libo Zhang Guo Hong Chao Chen Hongmei Jing Jiangbo Lu Peng Wang Xiaoshuang Chen Lin Wang Hua Xu 2021InfoMat2021,3,6:1
9Profiles of metabolic gene expression in the white adipose tissue, liver and hypothalamus in leptin knockout(Lep^(△I14/△I14)) rats显示文摘Leptin deficiency is principally linked to metabolic disorders. Leptin knockout(Lep^(△I14/△I14) Sprague Dawley rats created by CRISPR/Cas9 is a new model to study metabolic disorders. We used a whole rat genome oligonucleotide microarray to obtain tissue-specific gene expression profiles of the white adipose tissue, liver and hypothalamus in Lep^(△I14/△I14))and wild-type(WT) rats. We found 1,651 differentially expressed(enriched) genes in white adipose tissue,916 in the liver, and 306 in the hypothalamus in the Lep^(△I14/△I14) rats compared to WT. Gene ontology category and KEGG pathway analysis of the relationships among differentially expressed genes showed that these genes were represented in a variety of functional categories, including fatty acid metabolism, molecular transducers and cellular processes. The reliability of the data obtained from microarray was verified by quantitative real-time PCR on 14 representative genes. 10Salvinia-like slippery surface with stable and mobile water/air contact line显示文摘Superhydrophobic surfaces are widely used in many industrial settings,and mainly consist of rough solid protrusions that entrap air to minimize the liquid/solid area.The stability of the superhydrophobic state favors relatively small spacing between protrusions.However,this in turn increases the lateral adhesion force that retards the mobility of drops.Here we propose a novel approach that optimizes both properties simultaneously.Inspired by the hydrophobic leaves of Salvinia molesta and the slippery Nepenthes pitcher plants,we designed a Salvinia-like slippery surface(SSS)consisting of protrusions with slippery heads.We demonstrate that compared to a control surface,the SSS exhibits increased stability against pressure and impact,and enhanced lateral mobility of water drops as well as reduced hydrodynamic drag.We also systematically investigate the wetting dynamics on the SSS.With its easy fabrication and enhanced performance,we envision that SSS will be useful in a variety of fields in industry.Xiaomei Li Jinlong Yang Kaixuan Lv Periklis Papadopoulos Jing Sun Dehui Wang Yanhua Zhao Longquan Chen Dapeng Wang Zuankai Wang Xu Deng 2021National Science Review2021,8,5:1
11Numerical modeling and performance evaluation of passive convergence-permeable reactive barrier(PC-PRB)显示文摘The passive convergence-permeable reactive barrier(PC-PRB)was proposed to address the limitations of traditional PRB configurations.To evaluate the hydraulic and pollutant removal performance of the PC-PRB system,we developed a simulation code named PRB-Trans.This code uses the two-dimensional(2D)finite element method to simulate groundwater flow and solute transport.Case studies demonstrate that PC-PRB technology is more efficient and cost-effective than continuous permeable reactive barrier(C-PRB)in treating the same contaminated plume.Implementation of PC-PRB technology results in a 33.3%and 72.7%reduction in PRB length(L_(PRB))and height(H_(PRB)),respectively,while increasing 2D horizontal and 2D vertical pollutant treatment efficiencies of PRB by 87.8%and 266.8%,respectively.In addition,the PC-PRB technology has the ability to homogenize the pollutant concentration and pollutant flux through the PRB system,which can mitigate the problems arising from uneven distribution of pollutants in the C-PRB to some extent.The L_(PRB)required for PC-PRB decreases as the water pipe length(L_(p))increases,while the H_(PRB)required initially decreases and then increases with increasing L_(p).The effect of passive well height(Hw)on H_(PRB)is not as significant as that of L_(p)on H_(PRB).Overall,PC-PRB presents a promising and advantageous PRB configuration in the effective treatment of various types of contaminated plumes.Kaixuan Zheng Dong Xie Yiqi Tan Zhenjiang Zhuo Tan Chen Hongtao Wang Ying Yuan Junlong Huang Tianwei Sun Fangming Xu Yuecen Dong Ximing Liang 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,11:0
12Scene images and text information‐based object location of robot grasping显示文摘With the rapid development of artificial intelligence(AI),the application of this technology in the medical field is becoming increasingly extensive,along with a gradual increase in the amount of intelligent equipment in hospitals.Service robots can save human resources and replace nursing staff to achieve some work.In view of the phenomenon of mobile service robots'grabbing and distribution of patients'drugs in hospitals,a real‐time object detection and positioning system based on image and text information is proposed,which realizes the precise positioning and tracking of the grabbing objects and completes the grasping of a specific object(medicine bottle).The lightweight object detection model NanoDet is used to learn the features of the grasping objects and the object category,and bounding boxes are regressed.Then,the images in the bounding boxes are enhanced to overcome unfavourable factors,such as a small object region.The text detection and recognition model PP‐OCR is used to detect and recognise the enhanced images and extract the text information.The object information provided by the two models is fused,and the text recognition result is matched with the object detection box to achieve the precise posi-tioning of the grasping object.The kernel correlation filter(KCF)tracking algorithm is introduced to achieve real‐time tracking of specific objects to precisely control the robot's grasping.Both deep learning models adopt lightweight networks to facilitate direct deployment.The experiments show that the proposed robot grasping detection system has high reliability,accuracy and real‐time performance.Zhichao Liu Kaixuan Ding Qingyang Xu Yong Song Xianfeng Yuan Yibin Li 2022IET Cyber-Systems and Robotics2022,4,2:0

14Scaling of ac susceptibility and the nonlinear response function of high-temperature superconductors显示文摘The amplitude-dependent ac susceptibility of high-temperature superconductors is shown to obey some empirical scaling relations. We try to analyze this behavior by extending a dc nonlinear response function of mixed state to the ac cases. 15A robust interphase via in-situ pre-reconfiguring lithium anode surface for long-term lithium-oxygen batteries显示文摘Lithium-oxygen(Li-O) battery is considered as one of the most promising alternatives because of its ultrahigh theoretical energy density. However, their cycling stability is severely restricted by the uncontrollable dendrite growth and serious oxygen corrosion issue on Li surface. Herein, a sulfur-modified Li surface can be successfully constructed via chemical reaction of guanylthiourea(GTU) molecule on Li,which can induce the selectively fast decomposition of lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide(LiTFSI) to form a smooth and stable inorganics-rich solid-electrolyte interphase(IR-SEI) during the subsequent electrochemical process. Such an IR-SEI cannot only offer a highly reversible and stable Li plating/stripping chemistry with dendrite-free property(10 mA cm^(-2)-10 mAh cm^(-2), > 0.5 years;3 mA cm^(-2)-3 m Ah cm^(-2), > 1 year) but also endows the Li metal an anti-oxygen corrosion function, thereby significantly improving the cycling stability of Li-Obatteries. 16Characterization and diversity of magnetotactic bacteria from sediments of Caroline Seamount in the Western Pacific Ocean显示文摘Magnetotactic bacteria(MTB)are a group of microorganisms capable of orientating and swimming along magnetic fields because they contain intracellular biomineralized magnetosomes composed of magnetite(Fe 3 O 4)or/and greigite(Fe_(3)S_(4)).They are ubiquitous in freshwater,brackish,and marine habitats,and are cosmopolitan in distribution.However,knowledge of their occurrence and distribution in seamount ecosystems is limited.We investigated the diversity and distribution of MTB in the Caroline Seamount(CM4).The abundance of living MTB in 12 stations in depth varying from 90 to 1545 m was 1.1×10^(3)-43.7×10^(3) inds./dm 3.Despite diverse shapes of MTB observed,magnetotactic cocci were the dominant morphotype and could be categorized into two types:1)typical cocci that appeared to have peritrichous fl agella;and 2)those characterized by having a drop-shaped form and one bundle of fl agella located at the thin/narrow end of the cell.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)analysis revealed that the magnetosomes formed by those magnetotactic cocci are magnetite(Fe 3 O 4)with octahedral crystal habit.A total of 41 operational taxonomic units(OTUs)of putative MTB(2702 reads)were acquired from nine stations,based on high-throughput sequencing.Of these,40 OTUs belonged to the Proteobacteria phylum and one belonged to the Nitrospirae phylum.We found apparent connectivity between the MTB populations on the Caroline and Kexue(Science in Chinese)seamounts,although the diversity of MTB on Caroline was much richer than on the Kexue Seamount.Our results imply that the unique topography of seamounts and other as-yet unclear environmental factors could lead to evolution of different fl agella arrangements in magnetotactic cocci,and the occurrence of octahedral magnetite magnetosomes.Kaixuan CUI Wenyan ZHANG Jia LIU Cong XU Yicong ZHAO Si CHEN Hongmiao PAN Tian XIAO Long-Fei WU 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,6:0
