2Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. 6Clinical characteristics of fatal and recovered cases of coronavirus disease 2019 in Wuhan,China:a retrospective study显示文摘Background:The 2019 novel coronavirus has caused the outbreak of the acute respiratory disease in Wuhan,Hubei Province of China since December 2019.This study was performed to analyze the clinical characteristics of patients who succumbed to and who recovered from 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19).Methods:Clinical data were collected from two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan.A retrospective investigation was conducted to analyze the clinical characteristics of fatal cases of COVID-19(death group)and we compare them with recovered patients(recovered group).Continuous variables were analyzed using the Mann-WhitneyU test.Categorical variables were analyzed byχ2 test or Fisher exact test as appropriate.Results:Our study enrolled 109 COVID-19 patients who died during hospitalization and 116 recovered patients.The median age of the death group was older than the recovered group(69[62,74]vs.40[33,57]years,Z=9.738,P<0.001).More patients in the death group had underlying diseases(72.5%vs.41.4%,χ2=22.105,P<0.001).Patients in the death group had a significantly longer time of illness onset to hospitalization(10.0[6.5,12.0]vs.7.0[5.0,10.0]days,Z=3.216,P=0.001).On admission,the proportions of patients with symptoms of dyspnea(70.6%vs.19.0%,χ2=60.905,P<0.001)and expectoration(32.1%vs.12.1%,χ2=13.250,P<0.001)were significantly higher in the death group.The blood oxygen saturation was significantly lower in the death group(85[77,91]%vs.97[95,98]%,Z=10.625,P<0.001).The white blood cell(WBC)in death group was significantly higher on admission(7.23[4.87,11.17]vs.4.52[3.62,5.88]×109/L,Z=7.618,P<0.001).Patients in the death group exhibited significantly lower lymphocyte count(0.63[0.40,0.79]vs.1.00[0.72,1.27]×109/L,Z=8.037,P<0.001)and lymphocyte percentage(7.10[4.45,12.73]%vs.23.50[15.27,31.25]%,Z=10.315,P<0.001)on admission,and the lymphocyte percentage continued to decrease during hospitalization(7.10[4.45,12.73]%vs.2.91[1.79,6.13]%,Z=5.242,P<0.001).Alanine transaminase(22.00[15.00,34.00]vs.18.70[13.00,30.38]U/L,Z=2.592,P=0.010),aspartate transaminase(34.00[27.00,47.00]vs.22.00[17.65,31.75]U/L,Z=7.308,P<0.001),and creatinine levels(89.00[72.00,133.50]vs.65.00[54.60,78.75]μmol/L,Z=6.478,P<0.001)were significantly higher in the death group than those in the recovered group.C-reactive protein(CRP)levels were also significantly higher in the death group on admission(109.25[35.00,170.28]vs.3.22[1.04,21.80]mg/L,Z=10.206,P<0.001)and showed no significant improvement after treatment(109.25[35.00,170.28]vs.81.60[27.23,179.08]mg/L,Z=1.219,P=0.233).The patients in the death group had more complications such as acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)(89.9%vs.8.6%,χ2=148.105,P<0.001),acute cardiac injury(59.6%vs.0.9%,χ2=93.222,P<0.001),acute kidney injury(18.3%vs.0%,χ2=23.257,P<0.001),shock(11.9%vs.0%,χ2=14.618,P<0.001),and disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC)(6.4%vs.0%,χ2=7.655,P=0.006).Conclusions:Compared to the recovered group,more patients in the death group exhibited characteristics of advanced age,pre-existing comorbidities,dyspnea,oxygen saturation decrease,increased WBC count,decreased lymphocytes,and elevated CRP levels.More patients in the death group had complications such as ARDS,acute cardiac injury,acute kidney injury,shock,and DIC.Yan Deng Wei Liu Kui Liu Yuan-Yuan Fang Jin Shang Ling Zhou Ke Wang Fan Leng Shuang Wei Lei Chen Hui-Guo Liu 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,11:29
7Cervical Infection of Oncogenic Human Papillomavirus(HPV) Types in Beijing,China显示文摘Objective This study was designed to determine the prevalence of oncogenic human papillomavirus(HPV) in cervical infections in Beijing,China,and to investigate the odds ratio(OR) of HPV single and multiple infections in abnormal cytology.Methods A total of 19,018 specimens from outpatients in the department of obstetric and gynecology were collected.They were detected using high-risk HPV genotyping real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) kit and analyzed by ThinP rep cytology test for cervical pathological diagnosis.HPV prevalence,age-specific prevalence,and OR of each type of HPV in abnormal cytology were analyzed.Results Overall,19.1%(3,623/19,018) of the individuals were positive for HPV infection,14.9%(2,833/19,018) were positive for a single HPV type,and 4.2%(790/19,018) were positive for multiple types.Among the 3,623 HPV-positive individuals,the most predominant HPV types were HPV52(4.4%,834/19,018),HPV16(3.7%,710/19,018),and HPV58(3.4%,644/19,018).The OR of multiple infections and single infection differed significantly among disease severities.The OR of dual infection was higher than that of each of the two single infection types,respectively.Conclusion HPV prevalence in the outpatients was 19.1%,and the most predominant HPV types in the study were HPV52,HPV16,and HPV58.Women with multiple infectionswere more likely to have abnormal cytology.LI Ying HUANG Ke JI Pei Li SONG Lei LIU Hong Tu 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,10:22

14Radiomics approach for preoperative identification of stages Ⅰ-Ⅱand Ⅲ-Ⅳ of esophageal cancer显示文摘Objective: To predict preoperative staging using a radiomics approach based on computed tomography(CT)images of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods: This retrospective study included 154 patients(primary cohort: n=114; validation cohort: n=40) with pathologically confirmed ESCC. All patients underwent a preoperative CT scan from the neck to abdomen. High throughput and quantitative radiomics features were extracted from the CT images for each patient. A radiomics signature was constructed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Lasso). Associations between radiomics signature, tumor volume and ESCC staging were explored. Diagnostic performance of radiomics approach and tumor volume for discriminating between stages Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅳ was evaluated and compared using the receiver operating characteristics(ROC) curves and net reclassification improvement(NRI).Results: A total of 9,790 radiomics features were extracted. Ten features were selected to build a radiomics signature after feature dimension reduction. 16Achieve Personalized Anonymity Through Query Blocks Exchanging显示文摘In cyberspace security,the privacy in location-based services(LBSs) becomes more critical. In previous solutions,a trusted third party(TTP) was usually employed to provide disturbance or obfuscation,but it may become the single point of failure or service bottleneck. In order to cope with this drawback,we focus on another important class,establishing anonymous group through short-range communication to achieve k-anonymity with collaborative users. Along with the analysis of existing algorithms,we found users in the group must share the same maximum anonymity degree,and they could not ease the process of preservation in a lower one. To cope with this problem,we proposed a random-QBE algorithm to put up with personalized anonymity in user collaboration algorithms,and this algorithm could preserve both query privacy and location privacy. Then we studied the attacks from passive and active adversaries and used entropy to measure user's privacy level. 17Accurate and broadband manipulations of harmonic amplitudes and phases to reach 256 QAM millimeter-wave wireless communications by time-domain digital coding metasurface显示文摘We propose a theoretical mechanism and new coding strategy to realize extremely accurate manipulations of nonlinear electromagnetic harmonics in ultrawide frequency band based on a time-domain digital coding metasurface(TDCM).Using the proposed mechanism and coding strategy,we design and fabricate a millimeter-wave(mmWave) TDCM,which is composed of reprogrammable meta-atoms embedded with positive-intrinsic-negative diodes.By controlling the duty ratios and time delays of the digital coding sequences loaded on a TDCM,experimental results show that both amplitudes and phases of different harmonics can be engineered at will simultaneously and precisely in broad frequency band from 22 to33 GHz,even when the coding states are imperfect,which is in good agreement with theoretical calculations.Based on the fabricated high-performance TDCM,we further propose and experimentally realize a large-capacity mmWave wireless communication system,where 256 quadrature amplitude modulation,along with other schemes,is demonstrated.The new wireless communication system has a much simpler architecture than the currently used mmWave wireless systems,and hence can significantly reduce the hardware cost.We believe that the proposed method and system architecture can find vast application in future mmWave and terahertz-wave wireless communication and radar systems.Ming Zheng Chen Wankai Tang Jun Yan Dai Jun Chen Ke Lei Zhang Cheng Zhang Jin Yang Lianlin Li Qiang Cheng Shi Jin Tie Jun Cui 2022National Science Review2022,9,1:13
18A study on performance influences of airfoil aerodynamic parameters and evaluation indicators for the roughness sensitivity on wind turbine blade显示文摘The roughness increase on horizontal axis wind turbine(HAWT) blade surface,especially on the leading edge,can lead to an aerodynamic performance degradation of blade and power output loss of HAWT,so roughness sensitivity is an important factor for the HAWT blade design.However,there is no criterion for evaluating roughness sensitivity of blade currently.In this paper,the performance influences of airfoil aerodynamic parameters were analyzed by the blade element momentum(BEM) method and 1.5 MW wind turbine blade.It showed that airfoil lift coefficient was the key parameter to the power output and axial thrust of HAWT.Moreover,the evaluation indicators of roughness sensitivity for the different spanwise airfoils of the pitch-regulated HAWT blade were proposed.Those respectively were the lift-to-drag ratio and lift coefficient without feedback system,the maximum lift-to-drag ratio and design lift coefficient with feedback system for the airfoils at outboard section of blade,and lift coefficient without feedback,maximum lift coefficient with feedback for the airfoils at other sections under the pitch-fixed and variable-speed operation.It is not necessary to consider the roughness when HWAT can be regulated to the rated power output by the pitch-regulated and invariable-speed operation.HUANG ChenWu YANG Ke LIU Qiang ZHANG Lei BAI JingYan XU JianZhong 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,11:13
19Effects of quaternary ammonium chain length on the antibacterial and remineralizing effects of a calcium phosphate nanocomposite显示文摘Composites containing nanoparticles of amorphous calcium phosphate(NACP)remineralize tooth lesions and inhibit caries.A recent study synthesized quaternary ammonium methacrylates(QAMs)with chain lengths(CLs)of 3–18 and determined their effects on a bonding agent.This study aimed to incorporate these QAMs into NACP nanocomposites for the first time to simultaneously endow the material with antibacterial and remineralizing capabilities and to investigate the effects of the CL on the mechanical and biofilm properties.Five QAMs were synthesized:DMAPM(CL3),DMAHM(CL6),DMADDM(CL12),DMAHDM(CL16),and DMAODM(CL18).Each QAM was incorporated into a composite containing 20%NACP and 50%glass fillers.A dental plaque microcosm biofilm model was used to evaluate the antibacterial activity.The flexural strength and elastic modulus of nanocomposites with QAMs matched those of a commercial control composite(n 5 6;P.0.1).Increasing the CL from 3 to 16 greatly enhanced the antibacterial activity of the NACP nanocomposite(P,0.05);further increasing the CL to 18 decreased the antibacterial potency.The NACP nanocomposite with a CL of 16 exhibited biofilm metabolic activity and acid production that were 10-fold lesser than those of the control composite.The NACP nanocomposite with a CL of 16 produced 2-log decreases in the colony-forming units(CFU)of total microorganisms,total streptococci,and mutans streptococci.In conclusion,QAMs with CLs of 3–18 were synthesized and incorporated into an NACP nanocomposite for the first time to simultaneously endow the material with antibacterial and remineralization capabilities.Increasing the CL reduced the metabolic activity and acid production of biofilms and caused a 2-log decrease in CFU without compromising the mechanical properties.Nanocomposites exhibiting strong anti-biofilm activity,remineralization effects,and mechanical properties are promising materials for tooth restorations that inhibit caries.Ke Zhang Lei Cheng Michael D Weir Yu-Xing Bai Hockin HK Xu 2016International Journal of Oral Science2016,8,1:13
20Triptolide suppresses the growth and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer by inhibitingβ-catenin-mediated epithelial–mesenchymal transition显示文摘Non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)is characterized by a high incidence of metastasis and poor survival.As epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT)is well recognized as a major factor initiating tumor metastasis,developing EMT inhibitor could be a feasible treatment for metastatic NSCLC.Recent studies show that triptolide isolated from Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F attenuated the migration and invasion of breast cancer,colon carcinoma,and ovarian cancer cells,and EMT played important roles in this process.In the present study we investigated the effect of triptolide on the migration and invasion of NSCLC cell lines.We showed that triptolide(0.5,1.0,2.0 nM)concentration-dependently inhibited the migration and invasion of NCI-H1299 cells.Triptolide treatment concentration-dependently suppressed EMT in NCI-H1299 cells,evidenced by significantly elevated E-cadherin expression and reduced expression of ZEB1,vimentin,and slug.Furthermore,triptolide treatment suppressedβ-catenin expression in NCI-H1299 and NCI-H460 cells,overexpression ofβ-catenin antagonized triptolide-caused inhibition on EMT,whereas knockout ofβ-catenin enhanced the inhibitory effect of triptolide on EMT.Administration of triptolide(0.75,1.5 mg/kg per day,ip,every 2 days)for 18 days in NCI-H1299 xenograft mice dose-dependently suppressed the tumor growth,restrained EMT,and decreased lung metastasis,as evidence by significantly decreased expression of mesenchymal markers,increased expression of epithelial markers as well as reduced number of pulmonary lung metastatic foci.These results demonstrate that triptolide suppresses NSCLC metastasis by targeting EMT via reducingβ-catenin expression.Our study implies that triptolide may be developed as a potential agent for the therapy of NSCLC metastasis.Qiu-di Deng Xue-ping Lei Yi-hang Zhong Min-shan Chen Yuan-yu Ke Zhan Li Jing Chen Li-juan Huang Yu Zhang Lu Liang Zhong-xiao Lin Qing Liu Song-pei Li Xi-yong Yu 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,9:12
