2The electrochemical stability of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents显示文摘Room temperature ionic liquids(ILs) composed of cations and anions, as well as deep eutectic solvents(DESs) composed of hydrogen bond donors(HBDs) and hydrogen bond acceptors(HBAs), are regarded as green solvents due to their low volatility. They have been used widely for electrochemically driven reactions because they exhibit high conductivity and excellent electrochemical stability. However, no systematic investigations on the electrochemical potential windows(EPWs), which could be used to characterize the electrochemical stability, have been reported. In this regard, the EPWs of 33 ILs and 23 DESs have been studied utilizing cyclic voltammetry(CV) method and the effects of structural factors(cations and anions of ILs, and HBDs and HBAs of DESs) and external factors(electrode, water content) on the EPWs have been comprehensively investigated. The electrochemical stability of selected ILs comprising five traditional cations, namely imidazolium, pyridinium, pyrrolidinium, piperidinium and ammonium and 13 kinds of versatile anions was studied. The results show that for ILs, both cation and anion play an important role on the reductive and oxidative potential limit. For a same IL at different working electrode, for example, glassy carbon(GC), gold(Au) and platinum(Pt) electrode, the largest potential window is almost observed on the GC working electrode. The investigations on the EPWs of choline chloride(Ch Cl), choline bromide(Ch Br), choline iodide(Ch I), and methyl urea based DESs show that the DES composed of Ch Cl and methyl urea has the largest potential window. 4Multi-EAP: Extended EAP for multi-estimate extraction for SMC-PHD filter显示文摘The ability to extract state-estimates for each target of a multi-target posterior, referred to as multi-estimate extraction(MEE), is an essential requirement for a multi-target filter, whose key performance assessments are based on accuracy, computational efficiency and reliability. The probability hypothesis density(PHD) filter, implemented by the sequential Monte Carlo approach,affords a computationally efficient solution to general multi-target filtering for a time-varying number of targets, but leaves no clue for optimal MEE. In this paper, new data association techniques are proposed to distinguish real measurements of targets from clutter, as well as to associate particles with measurements. The MEE problem is then formulated as a family of parallel singleestimate extraction problems, facilitating the use of the classic expected a posteriori(EAP) estimator, namely the multi-EAP(MEAP) estimator. The resulting MEAP estimator is free of iterative clustering computation, computes quickly and yields accurate and reliable estimates. 5Fabrication of Crack-Free Flattened Bamboo and Its Macro-/MicroMorphological and Mechanical Properties显示文摘This work aimed to help the bamboo industry develop methodology for producing imperfection-free bamboo boards that can serve either decorative or structural benefit to consumers seeking to engage with the bioeconomy.Specifically,softened and slotted bamboo tubes were handled by a roller device with nails to render crack-free flattened bamboo board.Softening temperature and time were optimized herein according to findings regarding chemical composition and board mechanical properties.The optimal softening parameters for saturated steam heat treatment is proved to be 160°C for 8 min.The flattened bamboo board possesses an increased bending strength of 101.5 MPa and a decreased bending modulus of 7.7 GPa,being compared with only-softened bamboo.The corresponding changing mechanism is determined in-depth by the micro-morphological and mechanical results based on in-situ SEM and AFM technologies.Under the action of nails and rolling processes,the bamboo texture becomes compact with crushed and fragmented conduit walls.The resulting cell cavity then becomes stretched and compressed,taking on a morphology which allows for the mechanical penalties associated with flattening to be avoided.According to the micro-mechanical results obtained by AFM,compared with unflatten bamboo,the Young’s modulus of the cell membrane in transverse direction(YT)decreases to 1.00 GPa while the corresponding Young’s modulus in radial direction(YR)increases to 7.29 GPa.Zhichao Lou Tiancheng Yuan Qiuyi Wang Xinwu Wu Shouheng Hu Xiaomeng Hao Xianmiao Liu Yanjun Li 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,5:4
6Parathyroid hormone increases alveolar bone homoeostasis during orthodontic tooth movement in rats with periodontitis via crosstalk between STAT3 and β-catenin显示文摘Periodontitis patients are at risk of alveolar bone loss during orthodontic treatment.The aim of this study was to investigate whether intermittent parathyroid hormone(1–34)treatment(iPTH)could reduce alveolar bone loss during orthodontic tooth movement(OTM)in individuals with periodontitis and the underlying mechanism.A rat model of OTM in the context of periodontitis was established and alveolar bone loss was observed.The control,iPTH and iPTH+stattic groups received injections of vehicle,PTH and vehicle,or PTH and the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)inhibitor stattic,respectively.iPTH prevented alveolar bone loss by enhancing osteogenesis and suppressing bone resorption in the alveolar bone during OTM in rats with periodontitis.This effect of iPTH was along with STAT3 activation and reduced by a local injection of stattic.iPTH promoted osteoblastic differentiation and might further regulate the Wnt/β-catenin pathway in a STAT3-dependent manner.The findings of this study suggest that iPTH might reduce alveolar bone loss during OTM in rats with periodontitis through STAT3/β-catenin crosstalk.Cheng Zhang Tiancheng Li Chenchen Zhou Li Huang Yuyu Li Han Wang Peipei Duan Shujuan Zou Li Mei 2020International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,4:4

8Reduction of Low-grade Manganese Dioxide Ore Pellets by Biomass Wheat Stalk显示文摘An investigation on reducing low-grade manganese dioxide ore pellets was carried out by using wheat stalk as reductant. The main impact factors of reduction percent such as particle size, biomass/ore ratio, heating rate, nitrogen flow rate, temperature and time in reduction process were discussed. The morphology and component of manganese dioxide ore particle at different stages were also analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The results show the increase of the reduction temperature and time, biomass/ore ratio, and the decrease of particle size, heating rate and nitrogen flow rate can significantly enhance reduction efficiency. The reduction kinetic of the manganese ore is controlled by three-dimensional mass diffusion of gaseous reductive volatiles passing from the surface to the core of the ore particles. The activation energy E and frequency factor A were calculated to be 24.15 kJ · mol-1 and 166 min-1 , respectively. 9SOCS3 Attenuates GM-CSF/IFN-γ-Mediated Inflammation During Spontaneous Spinal Cord Regeneration显示文摘SOCS3,a feedback inhibitor of the JAK/STAT signal pathway,negatively regulates axonal regrowth and inflammation in the central nervous system(CNS).Here,we demonstrated a distinct role of SOCS3 in the injured spinal cord of the gecko following tail amputation.Severing the gecko spinal cord did not evoke an inflammatory cascade except for an injury-stimulated elevation of the granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF) and interferon gamma(IFN-γ) cytokines.Simultaneously,the expression of SOCS3 was upregulated in microglia,and unexpectedly not in neurons.Enforced expression of SOCS3 was sufficient to suppress the GMCSF/IFN-γ-driven inflammatory responses through its KIR domain by attenuating the activities of JAK1 and JAK2.SOCS3 was also linked to GM-CSF/IFN-y-induced crosstolerance.Transfection of adenovirus overexpressing SOCS3 in the injured cord resulted in a significant decrease of inflammatory cytokines.These results reveal a distinct role of SOCS3 in the regenerating spinal cord,and provide new hints for CNS repair in mammals.Xuejie Zhang Bingqiang He Hui Li Yingjie Wang Yue Zhou Wenjuan Wang Tiancheng Song Nan Du Xingxing Gu Yi Luo Yongjun Wang 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,7:3

11A scientometric review of biochar preparation research from 2006 to 2019显示文摘Biochar is the carbon-rich product obtained from the thermochemical conversion of biomass under oxygen-limited condi-tions.Preparation methods contribute to biochar properties,which are widely concerned in the agronomic and environmental benefits of agro-ecosystems.This research aims to use bibliometrics methods to comprehensively and objectively analyze the research trends in the global biochar production field from 2006 to 2019 based on the Web of Science Core Collection database.The results showed that 1434 papers related to biochar preparation were published,which gradually increased each year.The research topics were diversified,which were mainly divided into“Environmental Sciences and Ecology,”“Engineering”and“Agriculture”.Moreover,Bioresource Technology was the most published journal contained biochar preparation.Authors from China had the most publications,followed by the US,Australia and the UK.Meanwhile,Yong Sik Ok from Korea University contributed most of the publications and had the highest H-index.Keywords analysis indicated that biochar preparation by pyrolysis was a current hotspot,of which microwave and hydrothermal were a future research trend.Besides,gasification would be used to develop new biomass energy.Biochar has the characteristics of high pH,high specific surface area,high carbon content,and rich functional groups.It is mainly used in soil improvement,water pollutant adsorption,carbon sequestration and emission reduction,and energy storage materials,etc.Furthermore,raw materials,pyrolysis temperature and pyrolysis time will also affect its characteristics and applications.It is expected that this study may provide insight into the future research interests regarding biochar preparation.Yuxin Jiao Dongyang Li Ming Wang Tiancheng Gong Mengyang Sun Tianxue Yang 2021Biochar2021,3,3:3
12Highly stretchable and sensitive strain sensor based on silver nanowires/carbon nanotubes on hair band for human motion detection显示文摘In this work,a highly stretchable and sensitive strain sensor using silver nanowires(Ag NWs)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)on hair band is proposed.The fabrication process of such sensors enabled scalable and facile production with low cost by dipping hair band into Ag NWs/MWCNTs composites suspension.The sensing performance of the sensors was optimized by tuning the Ag NWs/MWCNTs mass ratio.The hair band based strain sensor with Ag NWs/MWCNTs mass ratio of 30 exhibited the best performance with high sensitivity of 416.0 and good stretchability up to 70%.Moreover,great repeatability and long-term stability could be achieved over 7500 cycles of stretch-release.This Ag NWs/MWCNTs-hair band sensor can be used for monitoring human motions and swallowing action.Yanqiang Gao Tiancheng Lai Furui Teng Ghang Liu Aidong Li 2021Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2021,31,3:2
13A novel inexpensive conductive material:Er-modified maifanite by gaseous penetration technology显示文摘Aiming to solve the problem of corrosion and high cost of the conductive fillers, the powders with the properties of anti-oxidation, corrosion resistance and thermal stability should be developed. A new modification technology, rare earth gaseous penetration, was applied to enhance the conductivity of maifanite in this paper, and the mechanism for improving the conductivity of maifanite effectively was speculated in detail for the variations of the composition, structure and morphology between the original and Er-penetration maifanite powders. The results of the resistivity show that Er-penetration can really improve the conductivity of maifanite powders. When the penetration temperature is 500 ℃, the resistivity of maifanite surprisingly declines to 93.2 Ω·m. Moreover, XRD and XPS patterns display that the cations in maifanite are substituted by Er^(3+) successfully, resulting in the production of electrons in the system, which is the key reason to heighten the conductivity of maifanite. 17Influence of electroplating conditions on magnetic properties of Fe-36wt.% Ni alloy film显示文摘A Fe-Ni soft magnetic film was prepared in sulphate solution by electroplating. The influences of the molar ratio of n[Fe2+]/n[Ni2+], current density, bath temperature, pH and L-ascorbic acid concentration on magnetic properties of Fe-Ni alloy film were investigated. The results show that the saturated flux density(BS) of the film increases initially and decreases after it reaches the specific value with the increase of n[Fe2+]/n[Ni2+] molar ratio, current density, bath temperature and pH. However, the relationship between L-ascorbic acid concentration and BS keeps linear. It is observed that the coercive force(Hc) is enhanced with the increase of n[Fe2+]/n[Ni2+] molar ratio, current density and pH. By comparison, when the bath temperature increases, Hc always decreases.
