1Exotic origin of the Chinese continental shelf: new insights into the tectonic evolution of the western Pacific and eastern China since the Mesozoic显示文摘The effect of paleo-Pacific subduction on the geological evolution of the western Pacific and continental China is likely complex. Nevertheless, our analysis of the distribution of Mesozoic granitoids in the eastern continental China in space and time has led us to an interesting conclusion: The basement of the continental shelf beneath East and South China Seas may actually be of exotic origin geologically unrelated to the continental lithosphere of eastern China. By accepting the notion that the Jurassic–Cretaceous granitoids in the region are genetically associated with western Pacific subduction and the concept that subduction may cease to continue only if the trench is being jammed, then the termination of the granitoidmagmatism throughout the vast region at *88 ± 2 Ma manifests the likelihood of ‘‘sudden'', or shortly beforehand(*100 Ma), trench jam of the Mesozoic western Pacific subduction. Trench jam happens if the incoming‘‘plate'' or portion of the plate contains a sizeable mass that is too buoyant to subduct. The best candidate for such a buoyant and unsubductable mass is either an oceanic plateau or a micro-continent. We hypothesize that the basement of the Chinese continental shelf represents such an exotic, buoyant and unsubductable mass, rather than seaward extension of the continental lithosphere of eastern China. The locus of the jammed trench(i.e., the suture) is predictably located on the shelf in the vicinity of, and parallel to, the arc-curved coastal line of the southeast continental China. It is not straightforward to locate the locus in the northern section of the East China Sea shelf because of the more recent(\20 Ma) tectonic re-organization associated with the opening of the Sea of Japan. We predict that the trench jam at *100 Ma led to the re-orientation of the Pacific plate motion in the course of NNW direction as inferred from the age-progressive Emperor Seamount Chain of Hawaiian hotspot origin(its oldest unsubdued Meiji and Detroit seamounts are *82 Ma),making the boundary between the Pacific plate and the newly accreted plate of eastern Asia a transform fault at the location east of the continental shelf of exotic origin. This explains the apparent *40 Myr magmatic gap from *88to *50 Ma prior to present-day western Pacific subduction initiation. We propose that basement penetration drilling on well-chosen sites is needed to test the hypothesis in order to reveal the true nature of the Chinese continental shelf basement. This testing becomes critical and cannot longer be neglected in order to genuinely understand the tectonic evolution of the western Pacific and its effect on the geology of eastern China since the Mesozoic, includingthe cratonic lithosphere thinning, related magmatism/mineralization, and the mechanism of the subsequent South China Sea opening, while also offering novel perspectives on aspects of the plate tectonics theory. We also suggest the importance of future plate tectonic reconstruction of the western Pacific to consider the nature and histories of the Chinese continental shelf of exotic origin as well as the probable transform plate boundary from *100 to*50 Ma. 2Nanophotonic media for artificial neural inference显示文摘We show optical waves passing through a nanophotonic medium can perform artificial neural computing.Complex information is encoded in the wavefront of an input light. The medium transforms the wavefront to realize sophisticated computing tasks such as image recognition. At the output, the optical energy is concentrated in well-defined locations, which, for example, can be interpreted as the identity of the object in the image.These computing media can be as small as tens of wavelengths and offer ultra-high computing density. 3LORELEI-LIKE GPI-ANCHORED PROTEINS 2/3 Regulate Pollen Tube Growth as Chaperones and Coreceptors for ANXUR/BUPS Receptor Kinases in Arabidopsis显示文摘Pollen tube growth is crucial for successful fertilization.In Arabidopsis thaliana,the ANXUR(ANX)/BUPS receptor kinase complex controls and maintains pollen tube growth in response to autocrine rapid alkalin-ization factor 4/19(RALF4/19)signaling;however,the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the ANX/BUPS-mediated regulation of pollen tube growth remain unclear.In this study,we found that pollen-specific LORELEI-like GPI-anchored proteins 2 and 3(LLG2/3)promote pollen tube growth in vitro and in vivo.LLG2/3 interacte with ANX/BUPS in a RALF4-concentration-dependent manner,suggesting that ANX/BUPS and LLG2/3 might form a receptor-coreceptor complex for perceiving RALF peptide signals.Disruption of the ANX/BUPS-LLG2/3 interaction led to the cytoplasmic retention of ANX1/2,in either llg2/3 knockdown mutants or in anx1/2 mutants lacking the J region,which mediates the ANX/BUPS-LLG2/3 interaction.Moreover,we found that RALF4 induced the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which stimulate pollen tube growth and reduce pollen burst rate.ROS levels are reduced in the pollen tubes of LLG2/3 RNAi lines,and application of exogenous H2O2 could partially rescue the defective pollen tube growth of LLG2/3 RNAi lines.Taken together,our study identifies LLG2/3 as novel regulatory components of pollen tube growth,and shows that they chaperone ANX/BUPS for secretion to the apical plasma membrane of pollen tube and act as coreceptors of ANX/BUPS in the acti-vation of ROS production for promoting pollen tube growth.Hanqian Feng Chen Liu Rong Fu Minmin Zhang Hui Li Lianping Shen Qiqi Wei Xiang Sun Lin Xu Bin Ni Chao Li 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,12:10
4A bHLH transcription activator regulates defense signaling by nucleo-cytosolic trafficking in rice显示文摘Crosstalk between plant hormone signaling pathways is vital for controlling the immune response during pathogen invasion.Salicylic acid(SA)and jas-monic acid(JA)often play important but antagonistic roles in the immune responses of higher plants.Here,we identify a basic helix-loop-helix transcription acti-vator,OsbHLH6,which confers disease resistance in rice by regulating SA and JA signaling via nucleo-cytosolic trafficking in rice(Oryza sativa).OsbHLH6 expression was upregulated during Magnaporthe oryzae infection.Transgenic rice plants overexpressing OsbHLH6 display increased JA responsive gene expression and enhanced disease susceptibility to the pathogen.Nucleus-localized OsbHLH6 activates JA signaling and suppresses SA signaling;however,the SA regulator OsNPR1(Nonexpressor of PR genes 1)sequesters OsbHLH6 in the cytosol to alleviate its effect.Our data suggest that OsbHLH6 controls disease re-sistance by dynamically regulating SA and JA signaling.Fanwei Meng Chao Yang Jidong Cao Huan Chen Jinhuan Pang Qiqi Zhao Zongyi Wang Zheng Qing Fu Jun Liu 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,10:10
5Dynamic Load Restoration Considering the Interdependencies Between Power Distribution Systems and Urban Transportation Systems显示文摘After a major outage,mobile emergency resources(MERs)can be dispatched via the transportation system(TS)for service restoration to critical loads in the power distribution system(PDS).In this case study,the efficiency of service restoration in the PDS is associated with the traffic efficiency of the TS,and vice versa,because the PDS and TS are mutually coupled through traffic lights and MERs.This paper proposes a service restoration method considering interdependency between the PDS and TS,which is formulated as a mixed-integer linear program(MILP).The objective includes maximizing the efficiency of both PDS restoration and TS.By solving the MILP,the dynamic load restoration and MER dispatch strategies can be obtained.For the PDS,the availability of MERs,including mobile sources and repair crews,relates to their dispatch in the TS,and their relationship is formulated as mathematical models.For the TS,the dynamic traffic flow is modeled using the cell transmission model and the effect of traffic lights is considered.Case studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.Ying Wang Yin Xu Jiaxu Li Chen Li Jinghan He Jiayu Liu Qiqi Zhang 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,4:9
6Onset velocity of circulating fluidization and particle residence time distribution:A CFD-DEM study显示文摘Until now,the onset velocity of circulating fluidization in liquid-solid fluidized beds has been defined by the turning point of the time required to empty a bed of particles as a function of the superficial liquid velocity,and is reported to be only dependent on the liquid and particle properties.This study presents a new approach to calculate the onset velocity using CFD-DEM simulation of the particle residence time distribution(RTD).The onset velocity is identified from the intersection of the fitted lines of the particle mean residence time as a function of superficial liquid velocity.Our results are in reasonable agreement with experimental data.The simulation indicates that the onset velocity is influenced by the density and size of particles and weakly affected by riser height and diameter.A power-law function is proposed to correlate the mean particle residence time with the superficial liquid velocity.The collisional parameters have a minor effect on the mean residence time of particles and the onset velocity,but influence the particle RTD,showing some humps and trailing.The particle RTD is found to be related to the particle trajectories,which may indicate the complex flow structure and underlying mechanisms of the particle RTD.Qiqi Han Ning Yang Jiahua Zhu Mingyan Liu 2015Particuology2015,13,4:8

9Chinmedomics facilitated quality-marker discovery of Sijunzi decoction to treat spleen qi deficiency syndrome显示文摘Sijunzi decoction (SJZD) is a Chinese classical formula to treat spleen qi deficiency syndrome (SQDS) and has been widely used for thousands of years.However,the quality control (QC) standards of SJZD are insufficient.Chinmedomics has been designed to discover and verify bioactive compounds of a variety of formularapidly.In this study,we used Chinmedomics to evaluate the SJZD's efficacy against SQDS to discover the potential quality-markers (q-markers) for QC.A total of 56 compounds in SJZD were characterized in vitro,and 23 compounds were discovered in vivo.A total of 58 biomarkers were related to SQDS,and SJZD can adjust a large proportion of marker metabolites to normal level and then regulate the metabolic profile to the health status.A total of 10 constituents were absorbed as effective ingredients that were associated with overall efficacy.We preliminarily determined malonyl-ginsenoside Rb2 and ginsenoside Ro as the q-markers of ginseng;dehydrotumulosic acid and dihydroxy lanostene-triene-21-acid as the q-markers of poria;glycyrrhizic acid,isoglabrolide,and glycyrrhetnic acid as the q-markers of licorice;and 2-atractylenolide as the q-marker of macrocephala.According to the discovery of the SJZD q-markers,we can establish the quality standard that is related to efficacy.Qiqi Zhao Xin Gao Guangli Yan Aihua Zhang Hui Sun Ying Han Wenxiu Li Liang Liu Xijun Wang 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,3:7
10Precipitate coarsening and its effects on the hot deformation behavior of the recently developedγ’-strengthened superalloys显示文摘Recently,theγ’-strengthened superalloys are of great interests in high temperature applications due to their excellent high temperature strength which is derived from theγ’strengthening phase.For theseγ’-strengthened superalloys,the changes in morphology,size and distribution ofγ’precipitates due to coarsening during thermal exposure have a significant impact on the properties of alloys.This article briefly summarizes the recent advances on the coarsening behavior of gamma prime precipitates in the recently-developedγ’-strengthened superalloys and its effects on the hot deformation behavior of superalloys,drawing specific examples on Allvac^(■)718 Plus TM and Ni3 Al-based intermetallic superalloys.It is found that the particle size plays an important role in morphological evolution ofγ’precipitates.For instance,the morphology ofγ’precipitates evolves from cuboidal to strip-like or other complex structures in Ni3 Al-based intermetallic alloys,while theγ’precipitates in Allvac^(■)718 Plus alloy always present nearspherical morphology due to the relatively small initial particle size.The Lifshitz-Slyozof-Wagner(LSW)theory and its modifications,as well as Trans-Interface Diffusion Controlled(TIDC)theory have been applied to describing the coarsening kinetics ofγ’precipitates.Additionally,the hot deformation behavior ofγ’-strengthened superalloy is found to be greatly influenced by the coarsening ofγ’precipitates.Yuting Wu Chong Li Xingchuan Xia Hongyan Liang Qiqi Qi Yongchang Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,8:7

12Antiferromagnetic element Mn modified PtCo truncated octahedral nanoparticles with enhanced activity and durability for direct methanol fuel cells显示文摘Pt-based magnetic nano catalysts are one of the most suitable cand idates for electrocatalytic materials due to their high electrochemistry activity and retrievability.Unfortunately,the inferior durability prevents them from being scaled-up,limiting their commercial applications.Herein,an antiferromagnetic element Mn was introduced into PtCo nanostructured alloy to synthesize uniform Mn-PtCo truncated octahedral nanoparticles(TONPs)by one-pot method.Our results show that Mn can tune the blocking temperature of Mn-PtCo TONPs due to its an tiferromag netism.At low temperatures,Mn-PtCo TONPs are ferromag netic,and the coercivity in creases gradually with in creasi ng Mn contents.At room temperature,the Mn-PtCo TONPs display superparamag netic behavior,which is greatly helpful for in dustrial recycling.Mn doping can not only modify the electronic structure of PtCo TONPs but also enhanee electrocatalytic performance for methanol oxidation reaction.The maximum specific activity of Mn-PtCo-3 reaches 8.1 A`m^-2,3.6 times of commercial Pt/C(2.2 A·m^-2)and 1.4 times of PtCo TONPs(5.6 A`m^-2),respectively.The mass activity decreases by only 30%after 2,000 cycles,while it is 45%and 99%(nearly inactive)for PtCo TONPs and commercial Pt/C catalysts,respectively.Qiqi Zhang Jialong Liu Tianyu Xia Jie Qi Haochang Lyu Baoyuan Luo Rongming Wang Yizhong Guo Lihua Wang and Shouguo Wang 2019Nano Research2019,12,10:5
13Spatio-temporal variations of soil water content and salinity around individual Tamarix ramosissima in a semi-arid saline region of the upper Yellow River, Northwest China显示文摘Ecological restoration by Tamarix plants on semi-arid saline lands affects the accumulation, distribution patterns and related mechanisms of soil water content and salinity. In this study, spatio-temporal variations of soil water content and salinity around natural individual Tamarix ramosissima Ledeb. were invetigated in a semi-arid saline region of the upper Yellow River, Northwest China. Specifically, soil water content, electrical conductivity(EC_e), sodium adsorption ratio(SAR_e), and salt ions(including Na^+, K^+, Ca^(2+), Mg^(2+) and SO_4^(2–)) were measured at different soil depths and at different distances from the trunk of T. ramosissima in May, July, and September 2016. The soil water content at the 20–80 cm depth was significantly lower in July and September than in May, indicating that T. ramosissima plants absorb a large amount of water through the roots during the growing period, leading to the decreasing of soil water content in the deep soil layer. At the 0–20 cm depth, there was a salt island effect around individual T. ramosissima, and the EC_e differed significantly inside and outside the canopy of T. ramosissima in May and July. Salt bioaccumulation and stemflow were two major contributing factors to this difference. The SAR_e at the 0–20 cm depth was significantly different inside and outside the canopy of T. ramosissima in the three sampling months. The values of SAR_e at the 60–80 cm depth in May and July were significantly higher than those at the 0–60 cm depth and higher than that at the corresponding depth in September. The distribution of Na^+ in the soil was similar to that of the SAR_e, while the concentrations of K^+, Ca^(2+), and Mg^(2+) showed significant differences among the sampling months and soil depths. Both season and soil depth had highly significant effects on soil water content, EC_e and SAR_e, whereas distance from the trunk of T. ramosissima only significantly affected EC_e. Based on these results, we recommend co-planting of shallow-rooted salt-tolerant species near the Tamarix plants and avoiding planting herbaceous plants inside the canopy of T. ramosissima for afforestation in this semi-arid saline region. 14Simplified Analytical Model for Estimation of Switching Loss of Cascode GaN HEMTs in Totem-pole PFC Converters显示文摘A practical analytical model to calculate the switching loss of cascode gallium nitride high electron mobility transistors(GaN HEMTs)is proposed.To facilitate analysis and application,the transmission delays introduced by Si MOSFET and interconnection inductances are ignored in modeling.Meanwhile,the nonlinear junction capacitances of the device and circuit stray inductances are also incorporated to increase the accuracy of the model.The turn-on and turn-off switching processes are described in detail and the simplified equations can be easily solved by using mathematical tools.Based on the analytical model,loss evaluation of totem-pole PFC converter is introduced briefly.Finally,the accuracy of the model is validated by comparing the calculated loss and converter’s efficiency with experiment results.Peak efficiency of 99.26%is achieved for a 3.6 kW single phase CCM Totem-Pole PFC AC/DC converter switching at 50 kHz based on 650 V cascode GaN HEMTs.Qiqi Li Bangyin Liu Shanxu Duan 2019Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2019,5,3:3
15Characterization of spoilage bacterial communities in chilled duck meat treated by kojic acid显示文摘Chilled duck meat is a popularly consumed meat in China but easily perishes at room/low temperature. Kojic acid is usually used as an antimicrobial. This study investigated the sensory scores, total bacteria number, and total volatile base nitrogen (TVB-N) value of chilled duck meat under kojic acid treatment during storage. The results presented that kojic acid suppressed the growth of spoilage bacteria and prolonged the shelf-life of chilled duck meat by at least two days. In further investigation, the bacterial community composition was explored through high-throughput sequencing. Pseudomonas spp. were the predominant spoilage bacteria after 6-day storage and were significantly suppressed by kojic acid. Besides, Brochothrix showed drug resistance and became the dominant bacteria in the kojic acid treated sample after 6-day storage. In conclusion, kojic acid maintained the sensorial, chemical, and microbial quality of duck meat stored at low temperatures. 18Effects of hydrogen sulfide on storage quality, water mobility and cell wall metabolism of strawberry fruit显示文摘The effects of hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S)on storage quality,cellular water distribution,and cell wall metabolism of strawberry fruit after subjected to shelf or cold storage were investigated.Fruit were fumigated with a range of aqueous NaHS solution(0.4-3.2 mmol/L),then stored at 20℃ for 3 d or 0℃ for 9 d.H_(2)S-treated fruit significantly maintained higher fruit firmness(FF)and titratable acidity(TA)as well as lower decay compared to the control fruit.Furthermore,H_(2)S inhibited the loss in extractable juice(EJ)and improved storage quality that not only resulted from the suppressing of respiration rate,but also from the modification of water mobility and cell wall metabolism.High FF and EJ in H_(2)S-treated fruit were closely associated with lower exchanges of free water between vacuole and cytoplasm/free space or cell wall,water-soluble polysaccharides(WSP),and activities of cell wall-modifying enzymes.Therefore,a potential benefit of H_(2)S on retarding softening was that the H2S can reinforce the hydrogen bonding in polysaccharides and reduce activities of cell wall-modifying enzymes,causing a stabilization of cell wall structure.Although approval of the use of H_(2)S on foods has not yet been granted,an alternative reducing agent gas based on H2S tended to be more effective in improving strawberry quality.Huanhuan Zhi Qiqi Liu Yu Dong 2018International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,6:2
19Change of Cytokines in Chronic Hepatitis B Patients and HBeAg are Positively Correlated with HBV RNA, Based on Real-world Study显示文摘Background and Aims:The natural course of chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is widely studied;however,follow-up studies of the same patients are scanty.Here,we studied the dynamic changes of serum HBV RNA and cytokines in hepatitis B virus e antigen(HBeAg)-positive patients treated with entecavir(ETV)to explore the relationship between the HBV serum viral nucleic acids and host immunity.Methods:Thirty-three chronic hepatitis B patients who are HBeAg-positive,with high virus load(HBV DNA>20,000 IU/mL),and received standard nucleos(t)ide analogue(NA)antiviral therapy(ETV)for more than 48 weeks were included.The serum levels of HBV nucleic acids and selected cytokines were measured at 0,12,24,and 48 weeks respectively.Results:Serum HBV RNA could still be detected while serum HBV DNA had fallen below the detection limit in patients treated with ETV.There was a strong positive correlation between HBV RNA and HBeAg,with a concomitant decrease in the secretion of cytokines from type 1 helper T(Th1)/type 2 helper T(Th2)/interleukin(IL)-17 producing T(Th17)cells.IL-4 and IL-10 were the main cytokines negatively associated with serum HBV RNA.Conclusions:HBeAg can be used to reflect the load of HBV RNA indirectly,because serum HBV RNA has not been widely used in clinical practice.Meanwhile,serum IL-4 and IL-10 might be explored in combination with HBV RNA in guiding future clinical antiviral therapy.Qiqi Zhang Hui Huang Aijun Sun Chunyan Liu Zhidong Wang Feifan Shi Wei Duan Xueying Sun Qi Wang Ping Sun Chunwen Pu Yong Zhang 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,3:1
20The tomato 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase gene SlF3HL is critical for chilling stress tolerance显示文摘Low temperature is a major stress that severely affects plant development,growth,distribution,and productivity.Here,we examined the function of a 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase-encoding gene,SlF3HL,in chilling stress responses in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum cv.Alisa Craig[AC]).Knockdown(KD)of SlF3HL(through RNA interference)in tomato led to increased sensitivity to chilling stress as indicated by elevated levels of electrolyte leakage,malondialdehyde(MDA)and reactive oxygen species(ROS).In addition,the KD plants had decreased levels of proline and decreased activities of peroxisome and superoxide dismutase.The expression of four cold-responsive genes was substantially reduced in the KD plants.Furthermore,seedling growth was significantly greater in AC or SlF3HLoverexpression plants than in the KD plants under either normal growth conditions with methyl jasmonate(MeJA)or chilling stress conditions.SlF3HL appears to positively regulate JA accumulation and the expression of JA biosynthetic and signaling genes under chilling stress.Together,these results suggest that SlF3HL is a positive regulator of chilling stress tolerance and functions in the chilling stress tolerance pathways,possibly by regulating JA biosynthesis,JA signaling,and ROS levels.Tixu Hu Yuqin Wang Qiqi Wang Ningning Dang Ling Wang Chaochao Liu Jianhua Zhu Xiangqiang Zhan 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:1
