| 1 | Research progress on silicon/carbon composite anode materials for lithium-ion battery显示文摘Silicon(Si) has been considered as one of the most promising anode material for the next generation lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) with high energy densities, due to its high theoretical capacity, abundant availability and environmental friendliness. However, silicon materials with low intrinsic electric and ionic conductivity suffer from huge volume variation during lithiation/delithiation processes leading to the pulverization of Si and subsequently resulting in severe capacity fading of the electrodes. Coupling of Si with carbon(C) realizes a favorable combination of the two materials properties, such as high lithiation capacity of Si and excellent mechanical and conductive properties of C, making silicon/carbon composite(Si/C) ideal candidates for LIBs anodes. In this review, recent progresses of Si/C materials utilized in LIBs are summarized in terms of structural design principles, material synthesis methods, morphological characteristics and electrochemical performances by highlighting the material structures. The mechanisms behind the performance enhancement are also discussed. Moreover, other factors that affect the performance of Si/C anodes, such as prelithiation, electrolyte additives, and binders, are also discussed. | 3 | PARylation regulates stress granule dynamics, phase separation, and neurotoxicity of disease-related RNA-binding proteins显示文摘Mutations in RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) localized in ribonucleoprotein (RNP) granules, such as hnRNP A1 and TDP-43, promote aberrant protein aggregation, which is a pathological hallmark of various neurodegenerative diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Protein posttranslational modifications (PTMs) are known to 佗gulate RNP granules. In this study, we investigate the function of poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation (PARylation), an important PTM involved in DNA damage repair and cell death, in RNP granule-related neurodegeneration. We reveal that PARylation levels are a major regulator of the assembly-disassembly dynamics of RNP granules containing disease-related RBPs, hnRNP A1 and TDP-43. We find that hnRNP A1 can both be PARylated and bind to PARylated proteins or poly(ADP-ribose)(PAR). We further uncover that PARylation of hnRNP A1 at K298 controls its nucleocytoplasmic transport, whereas PAR-binding via the PAR-binding motif (PBM) of hnRNP Al regulates its association with stress granules. Moreover, we reveal that PAR not only dramatically enhances the liquid-liquid phase separation of hnRNP A1, but also promotes the co-phase separation of hnRNP A1 and TDP-43 in vitro and their interaction in vivo. Finally, both genetic and pharmacological inhibition of PARP mitigates hnRNP Al- and TDP-43-mediated neurotoxicity in cell and Drosophila models of ALS. | 4 | Validation of the chinese version of the EORTC QLQ-CR29 in patients with colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM To assess the validity and reliability of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Colorectal Cancer 29(EORTC QLQ-CR29) in Chinese patients with colorectal cancer(CRC). METHODS From March 2014 to January 2015, 356 patients with CRC from four different hospitals in China were enrolled in the study, and all patients self-administered the EORTC QLQ-CR29 and the quality of life core questionnaire(EORTC QLQ-C30). Evaluation of the scores was based on the Karnofsky Performance Scale(KPS). The reliability and validity of the questionnaires were assessed by Cronbach's α coefficient, the Spearman correlation test and Wilcoxon rank sum test.RESULTS The EORTC QLQ-CR29 showed satisfactory reliability(α > 0.7), although the urinary frequency and blood and mucus in stool dimensions had only moderate reliability(α = 0.608). The multitrait scaling analyses showed good convergent(r > 0.4) and discriminant validity. Significant differences were obtained for each item in the different KPS subgroups(KPS ≤ 80; KPS > 80). body image and most single-item dimensions showed statistically significant differences in patients with a stoma compared with the rest of the patients. | 5 | SbHKT1;4, a member of the high‐affinity potassium transporter gene family from Sorghum bicolor, functions to maintain optimal Na^+/K^+ balance under Na^+ stress显示文摘In halophytic plants, the high‐affinity potassium transporter HKT gene family can selectively uptake Kt in the presence of toxic concentrations of Nat. This has so far not been well examined in glycophytic crops. Here, we report the characterization of SbHKT1;4, a member of the HKT gene family from Sorghum bicolor. Upon Nat stress, SbHKT1;4 expression was more strongly upregulated in salt‐tolerant sorghum accession, correlating with a better balanced Nat/ Kt ratio and enhanced plant growth. Heterogeneous expression analyses in mutants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Arabidopsis thaliana indicated that overexpressing SbHKT1;4 resulted in hypersensitivity to Nat stress, and such hypersensitivity could be alleviated with the supply of elevated levels of Kt, implicating that SbHKT1;4 may mediate Kt uptake in the presence of excessive Nat. Further electrophysiological evidence demonstrated that SbHKT1;4 could transport Nat and Kt when expressed in Xenopus laevis oocytes. | 10 | Synthesis and characterization of tungsten and barium co-doped La2Mo2O9 by sol-gel process for solid oxide fuel cells显示文摘Herein,we demonstrate the synthesis of W and Ba co-doped La2Mo2O9(LBMWO)nanocrystalline powder by a sol-gel process.In all the compositions have general formulae La1.9Ba0.1Mo2-xWxO8.95(x=0-0.40).The crystal structure,microstructure and conductivity of LBMWO were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and electrical impedance spectroscopy.In addition,the thermal and decomposition properties of the LBMWO gel were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry-thermogravimetric.The results reveal that all LBMWO powders calcined at 700℃have a cubic structure;the average crystallite size is about 48 nm.The unit cell parameter of LBMWO powders increases with increase in W content.The as-synthesized nanocrystalline LBMWO samples exhibit excellent sinterability and a relatively lower sintering temperature of 900℃.A high relative density of-96%is achieved after sintering at 900℃which is in good agreeme nt with the re sults of the SEM.Moreover,W and Ba codoping suppresses the phase transition and effectively stabilizes theβ-phase at low temperature.At the same time,La1.9Ba0.1Mo1.85W0.15O8.95 exhibits high ionic conductivity,3.07 x 10^-2 S/cm at 800℃.It is therefore concluded that co-doping can improve the properties of La2MO2O9 electrolytes. | Chang′an Tian Lingbo Shao Dongdong Ji Jie Yang Jinsong Xie Qiyi Yin Huirong Le | 2019 | Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9: | 5 |

| 12 | Experimental research of air-throttling ignition for a scramjet at Ma 6.5显示文摘An experimental investigation on ignition characteristics with air-throttling in an ethylene-fueled scramjet under flight Ma 6.5 conditions was conducted.The dynamic process of air-throttling ignition was explored systematically.The influences of throttling parameters,i.e.,throttling mass rate and duration,were investigated.When the throttling mass rate was 45% of the inflow mass rate,ambient ethylene could be ignited reliably.The delay time from ignition to throttling was about 45–55 ms.There was a threshold of throttling duration under a certain throttling mass rate.It was shorter than 100 ms when the throttling mass rate was 45%.While a 45%throttling mass rate would make the shock train propagate upstream to the isolator entry in about10–15 ms,four lower throttling mass rates were tested,including 30%,25%,20%,and 10%.All of these throttling mass rates could ignite ethylene.However,combustion performances varied with them.A higher throttling mass rate made more ethylene combust and produced higher wall pressure.Through these experiments,some aspects of the relationships between ignition,flame stabilization,combustion efficiency,and air-throttling parameters were brought to light.These results could also be a benchmark for CFD validation. | Weixin DENG Jialing LE Shunhua YANG Wanzhou ZHANG Ye TIAN | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,3: | 4 |
| 13 | Optimization on the Crosswind Stability of Trains Using Neural Network Surrogate Model显示文摘Under the influence of crosswinds,the running safety of trains will decrease sharply,so it is necessary to optimize the suspension parameters of trains.This paper studies the dynamic performance of high-speed trains under cross-wind conditions,and optimizes the running safety of train.A computational fluid dynamics simulation was used to determine the aerodynamic loads and moments experienced by a train.A series of dynamic models of a train,with different dynamic parameters were constructed,and analyzed,with safety metrics for these being determined.Finally,a surrogate model was built and an optimization algorithm was used upon this surrogate model,to find the minimum possible values for:derailment coefficient,vertical wheel-rail contact force,wheel load reduction ratio,wheel lateral force and overturning coefficient.There were 9 design variables,all associated with the dynamic parameters of the bogie.When the train was running with the speed of 350 km/h,under a crosswind speed of 15 m/s,the benchmark dynamic model performed poorly.The derailment coefficient was 1.31.The vertical wheel-rail contact force was 133.30 kN.The wheel load reduction rate was 0.643.The wheel lateral force was 85.67 kN,and the overturning coefficient was 0.425.After optimization,under the same running conditions,the metrics of the train were 0.268,100.44 kN,0.474,34.36 kN,and 0.421,respectively.This paper show that by combining train aerodynamics,vehicle system dynamics and many-objective optimization theory,a train’s stability can be more comprehensively analyzed,with more safety metrics being considered. | Le Zhang Tian Li Jiye Zhang Ronghuan Piao | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4: | 4 |
| 14 | Clinical Outcome of Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Infusion via Hepatic Artery or Portal Vein in Patients with End-stage Liver Diseases显示文摘Objective To investigate the efficacy of hematopoietic stem cell(HSC) transplantation via the hepatic artery vs.the portal vein for end-stage liver disease(ESLD).Methods Patients with hepatic decompensation were prospectively recruited from September 2010 to September 2012 to receive HSC transplantation via the hepatic artery or the portal vein.Liver function was examined at 3,6,and 12 months after transplantation.Liver biopsy results were analyzed using the Knodell score.Results Eighty patients(58 males and 22 females) were enrolled in the study.The Child-Pugh score was grade B in 69 cases,and grade C in the remaining 11 cases.HSC transplantation was performed via the portal vein in 36 patients and via the hepatic artery in 44 patients.ALT levels decreased while serum albumin levels increased significantly in both groups at 6 and 12 months after HSC transplantation(P<0.05 compared with pre-transplantation levels).Total bilirubin levels decreased significantly in both groups at 3,6,and 12 months after HSC transplantation(P<0.05 compared with pre-transplantation levels).Additionally,prothrombin time decreased in both groups at 12 months after HSC transplantation(P<0.05 compared with pre-transplantation level).There were no significant differences in ALT,total bilirubin and prothrombin time between the two groups either before or after transplantation.Moreover,Knodell score decreased significantly at 6 and 12 months.Histological examination showed that liver cell edema,degeneration,necrosis,and inflammation were significantly relieved at 3,6,and 12 months after transplantation.The incidence of portal vein thrombosis,upper gastrointestinal bleeding,and hepatic encephalopathy were 1.25%,3.75%,and 2.5% respectively.The one-year survival rate was 100%.Conclusions Autologous HSC transplantation improves liver function and histology in ESLD patients.The administration route of HSC has no significant impact on the efficacy of transplantation. | Xiao-lun Huang Le Luo Lan-yun Luo Hua Xue Ling-ling Wei Yu-tong Yao Hai-bo Zou Xiao-bing Huang Yi-fan Zhu Tian Zhang Ping Xie Mao-zhu Yang Shao-ping Deng | 2014 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2014,29,1: | 4 |
| 15 | Different structures of berberine and five other protoberberine alkaloids that affect P-glycoprotein-mediated efflux capacity显示文摘Berberine,berberrubine,thalifendine,demethyleneberberine,jatrorrhizine,and columbamine are six natural protoberberine alkaloid (PA)compounds that display extensive pharmacological'properties and share the same protoberberine molecular skeleton with only slight substitution differences.The oral delivery of most PAs is hindered by their poor bioavailability,which is largely caused by P-glycoprotein (P-gp)-mediated drug efflux.Meanwhile,P-gp undergoes large-scale conformational changes (from an inward-facing to an outward-facing state)when transporting substrates,and these changes might strongly affect the P-gp-binding specificity.To confirm whether these six compounds are substrates of P-gp,to investigate the differences in efflux capacity caused by their trivial structural differences arid to reveal the key to increasing their binding affinity to P-gp,we conducted a series of in vivo,in vitro,and in silico assays.Here,we first confirmed that all six compounds were substrates of P-gp by comparing the drug concentrations in wild-type and P-gp-knockout mice in vivo.The efflux capacity (net efflux)ranked as berberrubine >berberine > columbamine ~jatrorrhizine >thalifendine >demethyleneberberine based on in vitro transport studies in Caco-2 monolayers. | 16 | Estimating health damage cost from secondary sulfate particles—a case study of Hunan Province,China显示文摘China’s coal dominated energy pattern has resulted in large amount of SO 2 emissions. Estimate of the sulfur related health damage cost is necessary to help perform systematic cost benefit analysis and set national energy and emissions control priorities. Current researches were confined to gaseous SO 2 in urban areas; however, secondary sulfate (SO 2- 4) particles can exert serious impact in a wider region. Based on the concept of “intake fraction', CALPUFF long range dispersion model and 180 sample emission sources, multiple regression equation was obtained with good correlation( r =0 85), which illustrates that populations were key parameters to determine intake fraction but source characteristics were insignificant. Based on the formula and the population distribution data, county level intake fractions were mapped for Hunan Province(range: 1 1×10 -6 -3 2×10 -6 ) of China. A combination of county level SO 2 emissions with the intake fractions yields a total 1 98 tons of sulfate(SO 2- 4) inhalation, and resulting total health damage cost to be 0 76(willingness to pay approach, WTP) or 0 16(human capital approach, HC) billion USD in 1997, about 2.1% or 0 45% of GDP in Hunan in 1997. Average health damage cost per ton of SO 2 emission is 930(WTP) or 200 USD(HC). | 17 | Neuroprotective effects of Asiaticoside显示文摘In the central nervous system, Asiaticoside has been shown to attenuate in vitro neuronal damage caused by exposure to β-amyloid. In vivo studies demonstrated that Asiaticoside could attenuate neurobehavioral, neurochemical and histological changes in transient focal middle cerebral artery occlusion animals. In addition, Asiaticoside showed anxiolytic effects in acute and chronic stress animals. However, its potential neuroprotective properties in glutamate-induced excitotoxicity have not been fully studied. We investigated the neuroprotective effects of Asiaticoside in primary cultured mouse cortical neurons exposed to glutamate-induced excitotoxicity invoked by N-methyl-D-aspartate. Pretreatment with Asiaticoside decreased neuronal cell loss in a concentration-dependent manner and restored changes in expression of apoptotic-related proteins Bcl-2 and Bax.
