2A retrospective prognostic evaluation analysis using the 8th edition of American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)cancer staging system for luminal A breast cancer显示文摘Objective: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical prognostic value of the 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) staging system for luminal A breast cancer.Methods: Using both the anatomic and prognostic staging in the 8th edition of AJCC cancer staging system, we restaged patients with luminal A breast cancer treated at the Breast Disease Center, Peking University First Hospital from 2008 to 2014. Follow-up data including 5-year disease free survival(DFS), overall survival(OS) and other clinic-pathological data were collected to analyze the differences between the two staging subgroups.Results: This study included 421 patients with luminal A breast cancer(median follow-up, 61 months). The 5-year DFS and OS rates were 98.3% and 99.3%, respectively. Significant differences in 5-year DFS but not OS were observed between different anatomic disease stages. Significant differences were observed in both 5-year DFS and OS between different prognostic stages. Application of the prognostic staging system resulted in assignment of 175 of 421 patients(41.6%) to a different group compared to their original anatomic stages. In total, 102 of 103 patients with anatomic stage IIA changed to prognostic stage IB, and 24 of 52 patients with anatomic stage IIB changed to prognostic stage IB, while 1 changed to prognostic stage IIIB. Twenty-two of 33 patients with anatomic stage IIIA were down-staged to IIA when staged by prognostic staging system, and the other 11 patients were down-staged to IIB. Two patients with anatomic stage IIIB were down-staged to IIIA. Among seven patients with anatomic stage IIIC cancer, two were down-staged to IIIA and four were down-staged to stage IIIB.Conclusions: The 8th edition of AJCC prognostic staging system is an important supplement to the breast cancer staging system. 3Global Water Vapor Content Decreases from 2003 to 2012: An Analysis Based on MODIS Data显示文摘Water vapor in the earth′s upper atmosphere plays a crucial role in the radiative balance, hydrological process, and climate change. Based on the latest moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) data, this study probes the spatio-temporal variations of global water vapor content in the past decade. It is found that overall the global water vapor content declined from 2003 to 2012(slope b = –0.0149, R = 0.893, P = 0.0005). The decreasing trend over the ocean surface(b = –0.0170, R = 0.908, P = 0.0003) is more explicit than that over terrestrial surface(b = –0.0100, R = 0.782, P = 0.0070), more significant over the Northern Hemisphere(b = –0.0175, R = 0.923, P = 0.0001) than that over the Southern Hemisphere(b = –0.0123, R = 0.826, P = 0.0030). In addition, the analytical results indicate that water vapor content are decreasing obviously between latitude of 36°N and 36°S(b = 0.0224, R = 0.892, P = 0.0005), especially between latitude of 0°N and 36°N(b = 0.0263, R = 0.931, P = 0.0001), while the water vapor concentrations are increasing slightly in the Arctic regions(b = 0.0028, R = 0.612, P = 0.0590). The decreasing and spatial variation of water vapor content regulates the effects of carbon dioxide which is the main reason of the trend in global surface temperatures becoming nearly flat since the late 1990 s. The spatio-temporal variations of water vapor content also affect the growth and spatial distribution of global vegetation which also regulates the global surface temperature change, and the climate change is mainly caused by the earth's orbit position in the solar and galaxy system. A big data model based on gravitational-magmatic change with the solar or the galactic system is proposed to be built for analyzing how the earth's orbit position in the solar and galaxy system affects spatio-temporal variations of global water vapor content, vegetation and temperature at large spatio-temporal scale. 4Power allocation for OFDM-based cognitive heterogeneous networks显示文摘In this paper,the capacity maximization and the spectrum utilization efficiency improvement are investigated for the Pico cells in broadband heterogeneous networks.In frequency-reuse model,the users attached to Macro base station are usually viewed as primary users,and those attached to Pico base station should be regarded as cognitive radio(CR) users.As both the primary users and the CR users communicate in parallel frequency bands,the performance of the system is limited by the mutual inter-carrier interference(ICI).In order to control ICI and maximize the achievable transmission rate of the CR users,an effective power allocation scheme is proposed to maximize the transmission rate of the CR users under a given interference threshold prescribed by the primary users.By transforming this suboptimal solution into an innovative matrix expression,the algorithm is easier to perform in practice.The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides a large performance gain in Pico cell capacity over the non-cooperative and equal power allocation schemes.FEI ZeSong XING ChengWen LI Na HAN YanTao DANEV Danyo KUANG JingMing 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,4:5
5Statistically robust resource allocation for distributed multi-carrier cooperative networks显示文摘In this paper, we investigate joint subcarrier and power allocation scheme for distributed multicarrier cooperative networks with imperfect channel state information. Using practical channel estimation algorithms, the statistic model of the channel estimation error is first derived. Then based on the channel error model, the resource allocation scheme aims at maximizing the sum rate of the overall network. Specifically, both subcarrier allocation and power allocation are taken into account. In the subcarrier allocation, a realistic problem of the power leakage between neighboring subcarriers is also addressed. Furthermore, based on Lagrange dual-decomposition algorithm, a practical power allocation algorithm is proposed. 7Distributed cooperative localization based on Gaussian message passing on factor graph in wireless networks显示文摘In conventional localization, agents may not be able to reach sufficient number of anchors to obtain unambiguous locations, especially in sparse networks. Cooperative localization is a promising solution in that harsh environment, which enables the agents to cooperate with each other by exchanging location information and performing range measurements. In this paper, a distributed cooperative localization method based on factor graph is proposed in wireless networks. Gaussian parametric messages are used to represent the messages passed on factor graph. However, because of the nonlinear observation model, no closed-form solutions can be obtained. To solve this problem, the Taylor expansion is used to approximate the nonlinear terms in message updating, which leads to the Gaussian message passing on factor graph. Accordingly, only two parameters of the Gaussian distribution have to be transmitted and the communication overhead for localization can be significantly reduced. The two proposed algorithms for the application with accurate and inaccurate anchors,respectively, are evaluated by Monte Carlo simulations and compared with the SPAWN and maximum likelihood(ML) estimator. 8Application of Self-Organizing Feature Map Neural Network Based on K-means Clustering in Network Intrusion Detection显示文摘Due to the widespread use of the Internet,customer information is vulnerable to computer systems attack,which brings urgent need for the intrusion detection technology.Recently,network intrusion detection has been one of the most important technologies in network security detection.The accuracy of network intrusion detection has reached higher accuracy so far.However,these methods have very low efficiency in network intrusion detection,even the most popular SOM neural network method.In this paper,an efficient and fast network intrusion detection method was proposed.Firstly,the fundamental of the two different methods are introduced respectively.Then,the selforganizing feature map neural network based on K-means clustering(KSOM)algorithms was presented to improve the efficiency of network intrusion detection.Finally,the NSLKDD is used as network intrusion data set to demonstrate that the KSOM method can significantly reduce the number of clustering iteration than SOM method without substantially affecting the clustering results and the accuracy is much higher than Kmeans method.The Experimental results show that our method can relatively improve the accuracy of network intrusion and significantly reduce the number of clustering iteration.Ling Tan Chong Li Jingming Xia Jun Cao 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,7:4
9Cold Stress-induced Glucosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 is Involved in the Formation of Eugenol Glucoside in Camellia sinensis显示文摘Eugenol is a natural phenolic compound known for its health-promoting properties and its ability to add a floral scent to tea plants.Plant eugenol glycosides have been identified and shown to make important contributions to fruit floral quality.However,the details of their biosynthesis and metabolism in tea plants are still unknown.Here,eugenol glucoside was unambiguously identified as a native metabolite in the tea plant,and its biosynthesis was shown to be induced by low temperature treatment.Through the analysis of UGTs induced by low temperature,the glycosyltransferase CsUGT78A15 was identified in tea,and its encoded protein was shown to catalyze the glucosylation of eugenol.Vmax/Km ratios showed that eugenol was the most suitable substrate for CsUGT78A15.Sugar donor preference analysis showed that CsUGT78A15 had a higher selectivity for glucose,followed by galactose and glucuronic acid.The expression of CsUGT78A15was correlatedwith the accumulation of eugenol glucoside in different tissues and genotypes of tea.Down-regulation of CsUGT78A15 led to a decreased eugenol glucoside content under cold stress,indicating that CsUGT78A15 plays an important role in the biosynthesis of eugenol glucoside under cold stress.The identification of eugenol glucoside in the tea plant and the discovery of a cold stress-induced eugenol glucosyltransferase in tea provide the foundation for the improvement of tea flavor under cold stress and the biotechnological production of eugenol glucoside.Mingyue Zhao Binbin Cai Jieyang Jin Na Zhang Tingting Jing Jingming Wang Yuting Pan Zixiang Zhou Yifan Zhao Yingying Feng Feng Yu Mengting Zhang Yating Li Zhonghua Liu Chuankui Song 2020Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6:4
10Gap-free genome assembly and comparative analysis reveal the evolution and anthocyanin accumulation mechanism of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa显示文摘Rhodomyrtus tomentosa is an important f leshy-fruited tree and a well-known medicinal plant of the Myrtaceae family that is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.However,studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of R.tomentosa were hindered by the lack of a reference genome.Here,we presented a chromosome-level gap-free T2T genome assembly of R.tomentosa using PacBio and ONT long read sequencing.We assembled the genome with size of 470.35 Mb and contig N50 of∼43.80 Mb with 11 pseudochromosomes.A total of 33382 genes and 239.31 Mb of repetitive sequences were annotated in this genome.Phylogenetic analysis elucidated the independent evolution of R.tomentosa starting from 14.37MYA and shared a recent WGD event with other Myrtaceae species.We identified four major compounds of anthocyanins and their synthetic pathways in R.tomentosa.Comparative genomic and gene expression analysis suggested the coloring and high anthocyanin accumulation in R.tomentosa tends to be determined by the activation of anthocyanin synthesis pathway.The positive selection and up-regulation of MYB transcription factors were the implicit factors in this process.The copy number increase of downstream anthocyanin transport-related OMT and GST gene were also detected in R.tomentosa.Expression analysis and pathway identification enriched the importance of starch degradation,response to stimuli,effect of hormones,and cell wall metabolism during the f leshy fruit development in Myrtaceae.Our genome assembly provided a foundation for investigating the origins and differentiation of Myrtaceae species and accelerated the genetic improvement of R.tomentosa.angping Li Shiqiang Xu Zitong Xiao Jingming Wang Yu Mei Haifei Hu Jingyu Li Jieying Liu Zhuangwei Hou Junliang Zhao Shaohai Yang Jihua Wang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,3:3
11Overexpressed long noncoding RNA CRNDE with distinct alternatively spliced isoforms in multiple cancers显示文摘Alternative splicing is a tightly regulated process that contributes to cancer development.CRNDE is a long noncoding RNA with alternative splicing and is implicated in the pathogenesis of several cancers.However,whether deregulated expression of CRNDE is common and which isoforms are mainly involved in cancers remain unclear.In this study,we report that CRNDE is aberrantly expressed in the majority of solid and hematopoietic malignancies.The investigation of CRNDE expression in normal samples revealed that CRNDE was expressed in a tissue- and cell-specific manner.Further comparison of CRNDE expression in 2938 patient samples from 15 solid and hematopoietic tumors showed that CRNDE was significantly overexpressed in 11 malignancies,including 3 reported and 8 unreported,and also implicated that the overexpressed isoforms differed in various cancer types.Furthermore,anti-cancer drugs could efficiently repress CRNDE overexpression in cancer cell lines and primary samples,and even had different impacts on the expression of CRNDE isoforms.Finally,experimental profiles of 12 alternatively spliced isoforms demonstrated that the spliced variant CRNDE-g was the most highly expressed isoform in multiple cancer types.Collectively,our results emphasize the cancer-associated feature of CRNDE and its spliced isoforms,and may provide promising targets for cancer diagnosis and therapy.Xuefei Ma Wei Zhang Rong Zhang Jingming Li Shufen Li Yunlin Ma Wen Jin Kankan Wang 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,3:3
12Intelligent Task Offloading and Collaborative Computation in Multi-UAV-Enabled Mobile Edge Computing显示文摘This article establishes a three-tier mobile edge computing(MEC) network, which takes into account the cooperation between unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs). In this MEC network, we aim to minimize the processing delay of tasks by jointly optimizing the deployment of UAVs and offloading decisions,while meeting the computing capacity constraint of UAVs. However, the resulting optimization problem is nonconvex, which cannot be solved by general optimization tools in an effective and efficient way. To this end, we propose a two-layer optimization algorithm to tackle the non-convexity of the problem by capitalizing on alternating optimization. In the upper level algorithm, we rely on differential evolution(DE) learning algorithm to solve the deployment of the UAVs. In the lower level algorithm, we exploit distributed deep neural network(DDNN) to generate offloading decisions. 13Pan-cancer analysis of long non-coding RNA NEAT1 in various cancers显示文摘Changes in the abundance and activity of long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)have an important impact on the development of cancer.The nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1(NEAT1)has been reported to be overexpressed in many types of cancer since its discovery.However,inconsistencies exist as NEAT1 can also function as a tumor suppressor in certain types of cancer,such as acute promyelocytic leukemia.Here we systematically describe our current understanding of NEAT1 in tumor initiation and progression.First,we analyzed the expression patterns of NEAT1 in various normal tissues and malignant cancers using data from public data portals,the Genotype-Tissue Expression Project(GTEx)and the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),together with recent progress in the study of NEAT1 in various types of cancer.Second,we discussed the functions and mechanisms of NEAT1 in modulating tumor activity.Then,the upstream transcription factors and downstream microRNA targets of NEAT1 in the transcription cascade of cancers were also summarized.These data highlight the emerging role of NEAT1 in tumorigenesis,and present promising targetable pathways and clinical opportunities for tumor prevention and classifications.Shufen Li Jingming Li Chen Chen Rongsheng Zhang Kankan Wang 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,1:2
14Validation of an operational forecasting system of sea dike risk in the southern Zhejiang Province, South China显示文摘In this study,an operational forecasting system of sea dike risk in the southern Zhejiang Province,South China was developed based on a coupled storm-surge and wave model.This forecasting system is important because of the high cost of storm-surge damage and the need for rapid emergency planning.A comparison with astronomical tides in 2016 and the validation of storm surges and high water marks of 20 typhoons verified that the forecast system has a good simulation ability.The system can forecast relatively realistic water levels and wave heights as shown under the parametric atmospheric forces simulated in a case study;the sea dikes in credible high risk were mainly located in the estuaries,rivers,and around the islands in the southern Zhejiang.Therefore,the forecast system is applicable in the southern Zhejiang with a support to the effective prevention from typhoon storm-surge damage.LI Tao WANG Fangdong HOU Jingming CHE Zhumei DONG Jianxi 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,6:2
15Global vegetation change analysis based on MODIS data in recent twelve years显示文摘Vegetation cover change is critical for understanding impacts and responses of vegetation to climate change. A study found that vegetation in the regions between 45°N-70°N was increasing using normalized difference vegetation index( NDVI) from 1981 to 1991 ten years ago. The global vegetation growth has changed because of climate change in recent twelve years( 2001- 2012). After thorough analysis based on satellite data,it is found that it is evident that the global vegetation changed( NDVI) little,and it is increasing slightly in Northern hemisphere while it is decreasing slightly in Southern Hemisphere. For different latitudes,vegetation is increasing 0.17% every year from 60°N to 70 °N( R^2= 0.47,P > 0.013),while the vegetation is decreasing 0.11% every year from 10°N to 10° S( R^2= 0.54,P > 0.004). For different continents,the vegetation in South America is decreasing 0.16% every year( R^2= 0.78,P > 0.0001) and it is increasing 0.05% every year in Asia( R^2= 0.28,P > 0.072) and 0.25% every year in Oceania( R^2= 0.24,P > 0.1). The analysis of global vegetation in different seasons indicates that spatial distribution of global temperature and water vapor will affect the spatial distribution of vegetation,in turn,the spatial distribution of vegetation will also regulate the global temperature and water vapor spatial distribution at large scale. The growth and distribution of vegetation are mainly caused by the orbit of the celestial bodies,and a big data model based on gravitational-magmatic change with the solar or the galactic system as its center is proposed to be built for analyzing how the earth's orbit position in the solar and galaxy system affects spatial-temporal variations of global vegetation and temperature at large scale. 20Modulating morphology via side-chain engineering of fused ring electron acceptors for high performance organic solar cells显示文摘In this work, four fused ring electron acceptors(FREAs), 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 and 2F-C10, are developed to investigate the effect of side-chain size on the molecular properties and photovoltaic performance of FREA systematically. The elongation of side-chains in the FREAs not only improves their solubility in the processing solvent, but also enhances their miscibility with the donor PBDB-T. It helps the FREA diffuse into the donor PBDB-T during film-formation, thus leading to the decrease in domain size and domain purity from PBDB-T:2F-C5 to PBDB-T:2F-C10 blend films in sequence. The smaller domain size affords more D/A interfaces to benefit exciton dissociation and inhibit monomolecular recombination. However, severe bimolecular recombination occurs when the domain purity decreases to a critical point. Due to the dual function of the increment of side-chain length, both short-circuit current density(J_(SC)) and fill factor(FF) of devices exhibit an evolution of first increasing then decreasing from 2F-C5, 2F-C6, 2F-C8 to 2F-C10 based OSCs.
