| 1 | Clinical research linking Traditional Chinese Medicine constitution types with diseases:a literature review of 1639 observational studies显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To analyze clinical studies on correlations between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)body constitution types and diseases published in the past 10 years,and to provide an evidence base to support the use of such correlations for health maintenance and disease prevention.METHODS:We searched five databases for the period April 2009 to December 2019:China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Database,China Science and Technology Journal Database,PubMed and Embase.Three types of observational studies on correlation between constitution types and diseases were included:cross-sectional,case-control and cohort studies.Descriptive statistical methods were employed for data analysis.RESULTS:A total of 1639 clinical studies were identified:1452(88.59%)cross-sectional studies,115(7.02%)case-control studies and 72(4.39%)cohort studies covering 30 regions of China and five other countries(Malaysia,South Korea,Singapore,Thailand and France).The collection of studies comprised 19 disease categories and 333 different diseases.The 10 most commonly studied diseases were hypertension,diabetes,stroke,coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CAHD),sleep disorders,neoplasm of the breast,dysmenorrhea,fatty liver disease,chronic viral hepatitis B and dyslipidemia.We found high distributions for each biased constitution type in different patient populations as follows:Qi-deficiency constitution in stroke,diabetes,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and hypertension;Yang-deficiency constitution in female infertility,osteoporosis,irritable bowel syndrome,gonarthrosis and dysmenorrhea;Yin-deficiency constitution in hypertension,diabetes,constipation,female climacteric states and osteoporosis;phlegm-dampness constitution in hypertension,stroke,fatty liver disease,diabetes and metabolic syndrome;damp-heat constitution in acne,chronic gastritis,chronic viral hepatitis B,human papillomavirus infection and hyperuricemia;blood-stasis constitution in CAHD,endometriosis and stroke;Qi-stagnation constitution in hyperplasia and neoplasms of the breast,insomnia,depression and thyroid nodules;and inherited-special constitution in asthma and allergic rhinitis.CONCLUSION:Eight biased TCM constitutions were closely related to specific diseases,and could be used to guide individualized prevention and treatment.More rigorously designed studies are recommended to further verify the constitution-disease relationship. | Liang Xue Wang Qi Jiang Zeqiang Li Zhuqing Zhang Mengxing Yang Peiying Wang Xin Wang Yanqiu Qin Yuehua Li Tianxing Zhang Tianyi Wang Yi Sun Jianxiang Li Yusi Luo Hui Li Lingru | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4: | 29 |
| 2 | Stable expression of Arabidopsis vacuolar Na^+/H^+ antiporter gene AtNHX1,and salt tolerance in transgenic soybean for over six generations显示文摘The Arabidopsis vacuolar Na+/H+ antiporter gene,AtNHX1,was introduced into soybean by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.Four independent kanamycin resistant lines were obtained.The result of PCR,Southern blotting and Northern blotting analyses demonstrated that the AtNHX1 gene was successfully inserted into the soybean genome and stably expressed in these kanamycin resistant lines.The stability of AtNHX1 expression and salt resistance were evaluated in the soybean transformants for over 6 generations.Two independently derived transgenic lines with high expression level of AtNHX1 were selected,and propagated to generation T5 in the absence of selection pressure.PCR and RT-PCR examinations revealed that AtNHX1 was highly expressed in all investigated transgenic T5 progenies.Furthermore,all transgenic T5 plants showed resistant to salt stress,same as those of homozygous T2 plants.Taken together,our results indicated that constitutive expression of AtNHX1 enhanced salt tolerance in soybean for over 6 generations,suggesting a great potential use of AtNHX1 for improving salt tolerance in plants by genetic engineering. | LI TianXing ZHANG Yue LIU Hua WU YuTing LI WenBin ZHANG HongXia | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,12: | 8 |

The individual bubble mainly grows in a stochastic way during heating. The size distribution for groups of bubbles follows a Gaussian distribution in the early stage and Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW) diffusion controlled distribution in the final stage. The intermetallic compounds(IMCs) first form during solidification, following by the hydrogen bubbles. The bubbles between two adjacent Al3Ni grains grow unidirectionally along the liquid channel, with the bottom being impeded by the Al3Ni phase and the radius of the growth front being smaller. | 7 | Association between metabolic syndrome and body constitution of traditional Chinese medicine:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:The constitution theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)states that body constitution and disease are associated;therefore,the identification of body constitution can provide reference for disease prevention and treatment.A series of clinical studies evaluating the association between TCM constitution and metabolic syndrome(MetS)have been conducted in recent years.The aim of this systematic review is to summarize and evaluate the clinical evidence of the relationship between constitution and MetS.Methods:The PubMed,Embase,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Chongqing VIP,and Wanfang Data electronic databases were searched from April 2009 to July 2020.The search terms included“metabolic syndrome,”“constitution,”and“Chinese medicine.”Observational studies evaluating the relationship between body constitution of TCM and MetS were included.The primary outcome included the distribution of constitutional types in the MetS population,and odds ratio(OR)or relative risk(RR)between constitution and MetS.Effect size was expressed as proportion or OR with 95%confidence interval(CI).Methodological quality of included studies was evaluated by the NewcastleeOttawa Scale(NOS)or the American Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality(AHRQ)criteria.Results:Three caseecontrol and 26 cross-sectional studies involving 30435 cases were included.Phlegm-dampness,qi-deficiency,and damp-heat were the main constitution types in patients with MetS,accounting for 29%(22%e39%),18%(13%e24%),and 12%(9%e17%)of the population,respectively;the risk of MetS in people with phlegm-dampness and qi-deficiency constitution was 1.74[1.27,2.38]and 1.29[1.01,1.65]times higher than that in those with other constitutions.There were sex-and age-related differences in the distribution of TCM constitution in patients with MetS.Conclusion:Phlegm-dampness and qi-deficiency were associated with the occurrence of MetS.Welldesigned cohort and caseecontrol studies are needed to provide evidence for the use of TCM to prevent and treat MetS. | Hui Luo Lingru Li Tianxing Li Xing Liao Qi Wang | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,4: | 3 |

| 9 | Prognostic Role and Potential Mechanisms of N6-methyladenosine-related Long Noncoding RNAs in Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:Numerous studies have explored the important role of N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)in cancer.Nonetheless,the interaction between m^(6)A and long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)is poorly investigated.Herein,we systematically analyzed the role and prognostic value of m^(6)A-related lncRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods:The m^(6)A-related lncRNAs were identified based on the correlation coefficients with m^(6)A-related genes in HCC from The Cancer Genome Atlas.Subsequently,a novel risk score model was determined using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression analyses.Univariate and multivariate Cox analyses were used to identify independent prog-nostic factors for overall survival(OS)of HCC;thereafter,a prognostic nomogram was constructed.Results:A total of 259 lncRNAs showed significant correlations with m^(6)A in HCC,while 29 lncRNAs had prognostic significance.Further,six critical m^(6)A-related lncRNAs(NRAV,SNHG3,KDM4A-AS1,AC074117.1,AC025176.1,and AL031985.3)were screened out to construct a novel risk score model which classified HCC patients into high-and low-risk groups.Survival analy-ses revealed that patients in the high-risk group exhibited worse OS,both in the training and validation groups.The risk score was also identified as an independent prognostic factor of OS,and a nomogram was established and verified with superior prediction capacity.Besides,the risk score signifi-cantly correlated with the expression of immune checkpoint genes and immune subtypes.Conclusions:These findings indicated the significant role of m^(6)A-related lncRNAs in HCC and the potential application of the novel risk score model for prognostic prediction. | Tianxing Dai Jing Li Linsen Ye Haoyuan Yu Mingbin Deng Wei Liu Hua Li Yang Yang Guoying Wang | 2022 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,2: | 1 |

| 12 | Characteristics of alveolar macrophages in bronchioalveolar lavage fluids from active tuberculosis patients identified by single-cell RNA sequencing显示文摘Tuberculosis(TB),is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis(M.tuberculosis),and presents with high morbidity and mortality.Alveolar macrophages play an important role in TB pathogenesis although there is heterogeneity and functional plasticity.This study aimed to show the characteristics of alveolar macrophages from bronchioalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)in active TB patients.Single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)was performed on BALF cells from three patients with active TB and additional scRNA-seq data from three healthy adults were established as controls.Transcriptional profiles were analyzed and compared by differential gene expression and functional enrichment analysis.We applied pseudo-temporal trajectory analysis to investigate correlations and heterogeneity within alveolar macrophage subclusters.Alveolar macrophages from active TB patients at the single-cell resolution are described.We found that TB patients have higher cellular percentages in five macrophage subclusters.Alveolar macrophage subclusters with increased percentages were involved in inflammatory signaling pathways as well as the basic macrophage functions.The TB-increased alveolar macrophage subclusters might be derived from M1-like polarization state,before switching to an M2-like polarization state with the development of M.tuberculosis infection.Cell-cell communications of alveolar macrophages also increased and enhanced in active TB patients.Overall,our study demonstrated the characteristics of alveolar macrophages from BALF in active TB patients by using scRNA-seq. | Qianqian Chen Chunmei Hu Wei Lu Tianxing Hang Yan Shao Cheng Chen Yanli Wang Nan Li Linling Jin Wei Wu Hong Wang Xiaoning Zeng Weiping Xie | 2022 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2022,36,3: | 1 |

| 19 | Stretchable on-skin touchless screen sensor enabled by ionic hydrogel显示文摘Screen sensors are the most commonly used human-machine interfaces in our everyday life,which have been extensively applied in personal electronics like cellphones.Touchless screen sensors are attracting growing interest due to their distinct advantages of high interaction freedom,comfortability,and hand hygiene.However,the material compositions of current touchless screen sensors are rigid and fragile,hardly meeting the needs of wearable and stretchable on-skin electronics development.Additionally,these touchless screen sensors are also restricted by high power consumption,limited gesture types of recognition,and the requirement of light conditions.Here,we report a stretchable on-skin touchless screen sensor(OTSS)enabled by an ionic hydrogel-based triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG).Compared with current touchless screen sensors,the OTSS is stretchable,self-powered,and competent to recognize diverse gestures by making use of charges naturally carried on fingers without the need of sufficient light conditions.An on-skin noncontact screen operating system is further demonstrated on the basis of the OTSS,which could unlock a cellphone interface in touchless operation mode on the human skin.This work for the first time introduces the on-skin touchless concept to screen sensors and offers a direction to develop new-generation screen sensors for future cellphones and personal electronics. | Tianxing Feng Dan Ling Chaoyue Li Wentao Zheng Shichuan Zhang Chang Li Artem Emel’yanov Alexander S.Pozdnyakov Lijun Lu Yanchao Mao | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0 |
| 20 | Unilateral focal lesions in the macula as an early presentation of syphilis显示文摘A 55-year-old male complained of right eye blurry vision for 3 days. His best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA) was 0.2 for the right eye and 1.0 for the left eye. Anterior segment and vitreous body examinations of both eyes were normal. Yellowish-white focal lesions in the macula of the right eye were observed and subtly changes of lesions were found along the superotemporal and inferotemporal arcades in the macula two days later. Fluorescein fundus angiography(FFA) revealed slight fluorescent leakage from the lesions in the macula of the right eye, and segmental venous leakage and optic disc hyperfluorescence were observed in both eyes. Indocyanine green angiography(ICGA) demonstrated that the lesions in the macula of the right eye had hypofluorescence at a late stage and spectral domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT) imaging of the macula showed focal impairment of the inner segment and outer segment(IS/OS). The blood investigation indicated a positive treponema pallidum hemagglutination assay(TPPA) and a rapid plasma reagin test(RPR) of 1:32. After antisyphilitica treatment for 6 weeks, the yellowish-white lesions had vanished and the BCVA was 1.2 followed by restoration of the IS/OS for the right eye, with an RPR of 1:4. In conclusion, ophthalmologists should alert unilateral focal lesions in the macula may be the first sign of syphilis.
