1Numerical simulation for the coupling effect of local atmospheric circulations over the area of Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei Province显示文摘Using the model system MM5.V3 and multi-layer grid nesting technique, we have done a multi-scale numerical simulation over the area of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province to analyze the temperature and wind field there and study its local circulations. The results show a coupling effect of Urban Heat Island Circulation (UHIC), Mountain Valley Breeze (MVB) and Sea Land Breeze (SLB) occurs in this area when the synoptic system is weak. The SLB can penetrate deep into the mainland for about 200 km when it is blooming. MVB can extend to south and cover almost the whole plain area in Beijing. Both MVB and SLB are diurnal periodical; meanwhile the phase of MVB drops behind that of SLB for about six hours. As a local circulation, the UHIC weakens the two circulations above, and it also has a diurnal period. As a result, the coupling effect of circulations reveals not only different features in spring-summer period and autumn-winter period in a year but also the difference between early morn- ing to noonday and afternoon to night in a day. We noted the diffusion of contamination over the area around Beijing, and found the steady presence of a transport routine of contamination over North-China throughout the year caused by the Coupling Effect mentioned above. 2Incidence and mortality of primary bone cancers in China, 2014显示文摘Objective: In this study, we aimed to estimate the updated incidence and mortality of primary bone cancers based on population-based cancer registration data in 2014, collected by the National Central Cancer Registry of China(NCCRC).Methods: In 2017, 339 registries' data were qualified based on data quality criteria set down by the NCCRC.Cases of primary bone cancers were retrieved from the national database. We estimated numbers of primary bone cancer cases and deaths in China using age-specific rates and corresponding national population stratified by area,sex, age-group(0, 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, …, 85+). Chinese standard population in 2000 and Segi's World population were applied for the calculation of age-standardized incidence and mortality rates.Results: In 2014, 24,000 primary bone cancer cases and 17,200 deaths attributable to primary bone cancers were estimated to have occurred in China. The crude incidence rate of primary bone cancers was 1.76/100,000, with agestandardized incidence rate by Chinese standard population(ASIRC) and by World standard population(ASIRW)being 1.35/100,000 and 1.32/100,000, respectively. The crude mortality rate of primary bone cancers was1.26/100,000, with age-standardized mortality rate by Chinese standard population(ASMRC) and by World standard population(ASMRW) being 0.88/100,000 and 0.86/100,000, respectively. Age-specific incidence curve was bimodally distributed with age, with the first peak occurring in the second decade of the life and the second peak in the elderly. Males had higher crude and age-standardized rates for both incidence and mortality compared with females. Both crude and age-standardized incidence rates were higher in rural areas than in urban areas, so were the crude and age-standardized mortality rates.Conclusions: This population-based study presents the most recently available estimates on primary bone cancers in China, revealing that the males are 1.34 times as much as females suffering from primary bone cancers and the adolescents in puberty and the elderly are predominantly affected groups by these cancers. 3Propofol differentially induces unconsciousness and respiratory depression through distinct interactions between GABAa receptor and GABAergic neuron in corresponding nuclei显示文摘Propofol is the most commonly used intravenous anesthetic worldwide.It can induce loss of consciousness prior to the occurrence of severe respiratory suppression,which is also a pharmacodynamic feature of all general anesthetics.However,the neural mechanisms underlying this natural phenomenon are controversial and highly related to patient safety.In the present study,we demonstrated that the pharmacodynamic effects of propofol(50 and 100 μM)on suppression of consciousness-related excitatory postsynaptic currents in the medial prefrontal cortex(mPFC)and centromedian nucleus of the thalamus(CMT)were lower than those in the kernel respiratory rhythmogenesis nucleus pre-Botzinger complex(PrBo).Furthermore,we unexpectedly found that the GABAa receptor β3 subunit is the key target for propofol's action and that it is mutually and exclusively expressed in GABAergic neurons.It is also more abundant in the mPFC and CMT,but mainly co-localized with GABAergic neurons in the PrBo.As a result,the differentiated expression pattern should mediate more neuron suppression through the activation of GABAergic neurons in the mPFC and CMT at low doses of propofol(50 μM).However,PrBo GABAergic neurons were only activated by propofol at a high dose(100 μM).These results highlight the detailed pharmacodynamic effects of propofol on consciousness-related and respiration-related nuclei and provide the distinct interaction mechanism between the β3 subunit and GABAergic neurons in mediating the suppression of consciousness compared to the inhibition of respiration.Junli Jiang Yingfu Jiao Po Gao Wen Yin Wei Zhou Yunchun Zhang Yanjun Liu Daxiang Wen Yuan Wang Liang Zhou Tian Yu Weifeng Yu 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,8:11
4Cancer incidence and mortality in Guangdong province,2012显示文摘Objective: To estimate the cancer incidence and mortality in 2012 in Guangdong province by analyzing the cancer data of selected population-based cancer registries in Guangdong province in 2012.Methods: Eight of nine population-based cancer registries submitted cancer data to the Guangdong Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention(Guangdong CDC), whose data met the data quality criteria were included for analysis. The statistics of selected registries, stratified by areas, gender, age and cancer types, were used to estimate the cancer incidence and mortality in 2012 in Guangdong province according to the population data in Guangdong province. Segi's population and the national census population in 2000 were used for calculating the age-standardized rates(ASR). Results: A total of 15,084,942 people, accounted for 17.47% of all population in Guangdong province, were covered in 8 selected population-based cancer registries in 2012. The percentage of cases morphologically verified(MV%) and the percentage of death certificate-only cases(DCO%) were 72.84% and 0.87%, respectively, and the mortality/incidence(M/I) ratio was 0.56. It was estimated that there were 211,300 new cancer cases and 117,300 cancer deaths. The incidence crude rate(CR), the ASR by Chinese standard population(ASRC) and by world standard population(ASRW), and the accumulated rate(AR)(0-74 years) were 250.20/100,000(265.39/100,000 in males, 234.29/100,000 in females), 207.04/100,000, 201.34/100,000 and 22.91%, respectively, in Guangdong province in 2012. The incidence CR and ASRC were 267.25/100,000 and 221.43/100,000 in urban areas, and 215.51/100,000 and 178.77/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. The death CR, ASRC, ASRW and AR(0-74 years) were 148.44/100,000(190.95/100,000 in males, 105.06/100,000 in females), 103.73/100,000, 102.44/100,000 and 11.68%, respectively, in Guangdong province in 2012. The death CR and ASRC were 164.57/100,000 and 105.46/100,000 in urban areas, and 124.63/100,000 and 99.97/100,000 in rural areas, respectively. Top 5 cancers were lung cancer, liver cancer, female breast cancer, colon cancer and nasopharyngeal cancers(NPC), and top 5 death cancers were lung cancer, liver cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer, and NPC in Guangdong province in 2012.Conclusions: Lung cancer, liver cancer, female breast cancer, colon cancer and NPC were the major economic cancer burdens and health concerns in Guangdong province in 2012. 5Orbital-scale Asian summer monsoon variations:Paradox and exploration显示文摘The Asian summer monsoon(ASM) is a vast climate system, whose variability is critical to the livelihoods of billions of people across the Asian continent. During the past half-century, much progress has been made in understanding variations on a wide range of timescales, yet several significant issues remain unresolved. Of note are two long-standing problems concerning orbital-scale variations of the ASM.(1) Chinese loess magnetic susceptibility records show a persistent glacial-interglacial dominated ~100 kyr(thousand years) periodicity, while the cave oxygen-isotope(δ18 O) records reveal periodicity in an almost pure precession band(~20 kyr periodicity)—the 'Chinese 100 kyr problem'.(2) ASM records from the Arabian Sea and other oceans surrounding the Asian continent show a significant lag of 8–10 kyr to Northern Hemisphere summer insolation(NHSI), whereas the Asian cave δ18 O records follow NHSI without a significant lag—a discrepancy termed the 'sea-land precession-phase paradox'. How can we reconcile these differences? Recent and more refined model simulations now provide spatial patterns of rainfall and wind across the precession cycle, revealing distinct regional divergences in the ASM domain, which can well explain a large portion of the disparities between the loess, marine, and cave proxy records. Overall, we also find that the loess, marine, and cave records are indeed complementary rather than incompatible, with each record preferentially describing a certain aspect of ASM dynamics. 6Au nanorods decorated TiO_(2)nanobelts with enhanced full solar spectrum photocatalytic antibacterial activity and the sterilization file cabinet application显示文摘TiO_(2)photocatalysts have been widely studied and applied for removing bacteria,but its antibacterial efficiency is limited to the ultraviolet(UV)range of the solar spectrum.In this work,we use the gold(Au)nanorods to enhance the visible and near-infrared(NIR)light absorption of TiO_(2)NBs,a typical UV light photocatalyst,thus the enhancement of its full solar spectrum(UV,visible and NIR)photocatalytic antibacterial properties is achieved.Preliminary surface plasmon resonance(SPR)enhancement photocatalytic antibacterial mechanism is suggested.On one hand,transverse and longitudinal SPR of Au NRs is beneficial for visible and NIR light utilization.On the other hand,Au NRs combined with TiO_(2)NBs to form the heterostructure,which can improve the photogenerated carrier separation and direct electron transfer increases the hot electron concentration while Au NRs as the electron channel can well restrain charge recombination.finally produces the high yield of radical oxygen species and exhibits a superior antibacterial efficiency.Furthermore,we design a sterilization file cabinet with Au NR/TiO_(2)NB heterostructures as the photocatalytic coating plates.Our study reveals that Au NR/TiO_(2)NB heterostructure is a potential candidate for sterilization of bacteria and archives protection.Yingying Qin Yichen Guo Zhangqian Liang Yanjun Xue Xiaoli Zhang Lei Yang Jian Tian 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,4:6
7Warm temperature compromises JA-regulated basal resistance to enhance Magnaporthe oryzae infection in rice显示文摘Changes in global temperatures profoundly affect the occurrence of plant diseases.It is well known that rice blast can easily become epidemic in relatively warm weather.However,the molecular mechanism remains unclear.In this study,we show that enhanced blast development at a warm temperature(22C)compared with the normal growth temperature(28C)is rice plant-determined.Comparative transcriptome analysis revealed that jasmonic acid(JA)biosynthesis and signaling genes in rice could be effectively induced by Magnaporthe oryzae at 28C but not at 22C.Phenotypic analyses of the osaoc1 and osmyc2 mutants,OsCOI1 RNAi lines,and OsMYC2-OE plants further demonstrated that compromised M.oryzaeinduced JA biosynthesis and signaling lead to enhanced blast susceptibility at the warm temperature.Consistent with these results,we found that exogenous application of methyl jasmonate served as an effective strategy for improving blast resistance under the warm environmental conditions.Furthermore,decreased activation of JA signaling resulted in the downregulated expression of some key basal resistance genes at 22C when compared with 28C.Among these affected genes,OsCEBiP(chitin elicitorbinding protein precursor)was found to be directly regulated by OsMYB22 and its interacting protein OsMYC2,a key component of JA signaling,and this contributed to temperature-modulated blast resistance.Taken together,these results suggest that warm temperature compromises basal resistance in rice and enhances M.oryzae infection by reducing JA biosynthesis and signaling,providing potential new strategies for managing rice blast disease under warm climate conditions.Jiehua Qiu Junhui Xie Ya Chen Zhenan Shen Huanbin Shi Naweed I.Naqvi Qian Qian Yan Liang Yanjun Kou 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,4:5
8Photocatalytic H2 Evolution on TiO2 Assembled with Ti3C2 MXene and Metallic 1T-WS2 as Co-catalysts显示文摘The biggest challenging issue in photocatalysis is efficient separation of the photoinduced carriers and the aggregation of photoexcited electrons on photocatalyst’s surface.In this paper,we report that double metallic co-catalysts Ti3C2 MXene and metallic octahedral(1T)phase tungsten disulfide(WS2)act pathways transferring photoexcited electrons in assisting the photocatalytic H2 evolution.TiO2 nanosheets were in situ grown on highly conductive Ti3C2 MXenes and 1T-WS2 nanoparticles were then uniformly distributed on TiO2@Ti3C2 composite.Thus,a distinctive 1T-WS2@TiO2@Ti3C2 composite with double metallic co-catalysts was achieved,and the content of 1T phase reaches 73%.The photocatalytic H2 evolution performance of 1T-WS2@TiO2@Ti3C2 composite with an optimized 15 wt%WS2 ratio is nearly 50 times higher than that of TiO2 nanosheets because of conductive Ti3C2 MXene and 1T-WS2 resulting in the increase of electron transfer efficiency.Besides,the 1T-WS2 on the surface of TiO2@Ti3C2 composite enhances the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area and boosts the density of active site.Yujie Li Lei Ding Shujun Yin Zhangqian Liang Yanjun Xue Xinzhen Wang Hongzhi Cui Jian Tian 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,1:4

10Synthesis of porous few-layer carbon nitride with excellent photocatalytic nitrogen fixation显示文摘The porous few-layer g-C_(3)N_(4)(PFL-g-C_(3)N_(4))is prepared by a simple molecular self-assembly method.Compared with pure g-C_(3)N_(4),the as-prepared PFL-g-C_(3)N_(4) is ultrathin,the surface is rich in pores,and the photocatalytic nitrogen fixation activity is greatly increased to 8.20 mM h^(-1) gCat^(-1).Few-layer and ultrathin nature of PFL-g-C_(3)N_(4) can provide a larger specific surface area,expose more active sites,and reduce the diffusion path of charges and protons from the inside to the surface.In addition,the porous structure can narrow the band gap,thereby increasing the light absorption range and enhancing the light absorption capability.Meanwhile,the presence of nitrogen vacancies causes PFL-g-C_(3)N_(4) to move to a more negative conductive band value.More importantly,the isotopic experiments using ^(15)N_(2) as nitrogen source confirm the ammonia production originating from N2 rather than the decomposition of g-C_(3)N_(4).Therefore,PFL-g-C_(3)N_(4) can greatly improve the efficiency of visible light photocatalytic nitrogen fixation.Yanjun Xue Xiangkun Kong Yichen Guo Zhangqian Liang Hongzhi Cui Jian Tian 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:3
11Late Mesozoic rifting and its deep dynamic mechanisms in the central Sulu orogenic belt: Records from Lingshan Island显示文摘The Lingshan Island scientific drill confirms that two episodes(Laiyang period and Qingshan period) of rifting developed in the central Sulu orogenic belt(SOB) in Late Mesozoic. With a set of methods including fieldwork, drilling, core logging, zircon U-Pb dating and whole rock geochemistry applied, the age, the depositional sequence and the deep dynamic mechanisms of rift evolution were unraveled. The stratigraphic sequence of the Laiyang-Qingshan Groups on Lingshan Island was composed of two different rifting sequences:(1) Laiyang Group(147–125 Ma), which consists of deep-water gravity flow deposits with interlayers of intermediate volcanic rocks;and(2) Lower Qingshan Group(125–119 Ma), which unconformably overlies the former sequence and contains subaerial volcanic deposits and terrestrial deposits. The tectonic environment changed during the evolution of these two episodes of rifting: the rift was in a NNW-SSE extensional environment in the Laiyang period and showed the typical passive rifting character that “lithospheric extension and rifting preceded volcanism”. The passive rifting period was ended by a short WNW-ESE compression at about 125 Ma. After that, the tectonic environment transferred to a strong NW-SE extensional environment and the rifting evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period. The igneous rocks are shoshonitic to high-K calc-alkaline trachyandesites to trachytes with a few intercalated lamprophyres and a rhyolite.The geochemical characteristics of the igneous rocks indicate that they are mantle-derived melts with a metasomatized mantle source and/or crustal contamination. In addition, an increased thinning of the lithosphere happened during the rifting episodes.The low-angle subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in the Jurassic weakened the thickened SOB lithospheric mantle. The rollback of the subducting plate started in late Jurassic to early Cretaceous, and the SOB lithospheric mantle was delaminated synchronously because of the gravity collapse. Thus, this caused passive rifting in the Laiyang period. Thereafter, the rollback and trench retreat of the high-angle subducting Paleo-Pacific plate would have achieved its climax, resulting in the strong regional extension. Passive rifting was ended by the crustal uplift caused by asthenospheric upwelling beneath the rift. The lower crust was heated by the upwelling asthenosphere and partially melted to form felsic melts, which were emplaced upwards and erupted explosively. The rift evolved into a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period and showed some characteristics of active rifting. Above all, a passive rifting in the Laiyang period and a volcanic arc basin in the Qingshan period developed successively in the Lingshan Island area(the central SOB). This records the transfer of the study area from the Paleo-Tethys tectonic domain to the circum-Pacific tectonic domain. The delamination of SOB lithospheric mantle and the upwelling of asthenospheric material were the deep dynamic mechanisms driving the development and evolution of two rift episodes. 12A Carboxymethyl Cellulase from a Marine Yeast(Aureobasidium pullulans 98): Its Purification, Characterization, Gene Cloning and Carboxymethyl Cellulose Digestion显示文摘We have reported that A. pullulans 98 produces a high yield of cellulase. In this study, a carboxymethyl cellulase(CMCase) in the supernatant of the culture of A. pullulans 98 was purified to homogeneity, and the maximum production of CMCase was 4.51 U(mg protein)-1. The SDS-PAGE analysis showed that the molecular mass of the purified CMCase was 67.0 k Da. The optimal temperature of the purified enzyme with considerable thermosensitivity was 40℃, much lower than that of the CMCases from other fungi. The optimal p H of the enzyme was 5.6, and the activity profile was stable in a range of acidity(p H 5.0–6.0). The enzyme was activated by Na+, Mg2+, Ca2+, K+, Fe2+ and Cu2+, however, it was inhibited by Fe3+, Ba2+, Zn2+, Mn2+ and Ag+. Km and Vmax values of the purified enzyme were 4.7 mg m L-1 and 0.57 μmol L-1 min-1(mg protein)-1, respectively. Only oligosaccharides with different sizes were released from carboxymethylcellulose(CMC) after hydrolysis with the purified CMCase. The putative gene encoding CMCase was cloned from A. pullulans 98, which contained an open reading frame of 954 bp(EU978473). The protein deduced contained the conserved domain of cellulase superfamily(glucosyl hydrolase family 5). The N-terminal amino acid sequence of the purified CMCase was M-A-P-H-A-E-P-Q-S-Q-T-T-E-Q-T-S-S-G-Q-F, which was consistent with that deduced from the cloned gene. 15n-Octadecanethiol Self-Assembled Monolayer Coating with Microscopic Roughness for Dropwise Condensation of Steam显示文摘Here we presented a novel technology to achieve a Super-hydrophobic coating with microscopic roughness oncopper surface. First, make a layer of verdigris grow on the fresh pure copper surface. Gain it by exposing thecopper to air and the mist of acetic acid solution. The green coating is a mixture of basic copper(Ⅱ) carbonate andcopper(Ⅱ) acetate. Second heat the coating and make it decompose to CuO. Lastly, form an n-octadecanethiolself-assembled monolayers coating on the outermost surface. Contact angle test, scanning electron microscopeanalysis and electrochemical testing were carried out to characterize the surface, and a heat transfer experimentfor dropwise condensation of steam was performed also. Results show that the modified surface bears a few Super-hydrophobicfeatures, the static contact angle is higher than that in literatures, reaching 153.1±1.7°. The microscopicroughness can be seen in SEM images, differing much from H2O2 etched surface and bare copper surface.The condensation of steam on the surface is a typical form of dropwise condensation, in the measured rangeof temperature difference, under 0.1 MPa, the average convection heat transfer coefficients of the vertical surfaceare 1.7~2.1 times for those of film condensation. 16Hyperactive PI3Kδ predisposes naive T cells to activation via aerobic glycolysis programs显示文摘Activated phosphoinositide 3-kinaseδsyndrome(APDS)is an autosomal-dominant combined immunodeficiency disorder resulting from pathogenic gain-of-function(GOF)mutations in the PIK3CD gene.Patients with APDS display abnormal T cell homeostasis.However,the mechanisms by which PIK3CD GOF contributes to this feature remain unknown.Here,with a cohort of children with PIK3CD GOF mutations from multiple regions of China and a corresponding CRISPR/Cas9 gene-edited mouse model,we reported that hyperactive PI3Kδdisrupted TNaive cell homeostasis in the periphery by intrinsically promoting the growth,proliferation,and activation of TNaive cells.Our results showed that PIK3CD GOF resulted in loss of the quiescence-associated gene expression profile in naive T cells and promoted naive T cells to overgrow,hyperproliferate and acquire an activated functional status.Naive PIK3CD GOF T cells exhibited an enhanced glycolytic capacity and reduced mitochondrial respiration in the resting or activated state.Blocking glycolysis abrogated the abnormal splenic T cell pool and reversed the overactivated phenotype induced by PIK3CD GOF in vivo and in vitro.These results suggest that enhanced aerobic glycolysis is required for PIK3CD GOF-induced overactivation of naive T cells and provide a potential therapeutic approach for targeting glycolysis to treat patients with APDS as well as other immune disorders.Yanjun Jia Qiuyun Yang Yanping Wang Wenyan Li Xuemei Chen Tao Xu Zhirui Tian Minxuan Feng Liang Zhang Wenjing Tang Na Tian Lina Zhou Wenxia Song Xiaodong Zhao 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,7:2
