| 4 | Observation of a bi-critical point between antiferromagnetic and superconducting phases in pressurized single crystal Ca0.73La0.27FeAs2显示文摘One of the most strikingly universal features of the high-temperature superconductors is that the superconducting phase emerges in the close proximity of the antiferromagnetic phase, and the interplay between these two phases poses a long-standing challenge. It is commonly believed that, as the antiferromagnetic transition temperature is continuously suppressed to zero, there appears a quantum critical point, around which the existence of antiferromagnetic fluctuation is responsible for the development of the superconductivity. In contrast to this scenario, we report the observation of a bi-critical point identified at 2.88 GPa and 26.02 K in the pressurized high-quality single crystal Ca_(0.73)La_(0.27)FeAs_2 by complementary in-situ high pressure measurements. | 5 | A Method for Alpine Wetland Delineation and Features of Border: Zoigê Plateau, China显示文摘Accurate wetland delineation is the basis of wetland definition and mapping, and is of great importance for wetland management and research. The Zoigê Plateau on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was used as a research site for research on alpine wetland delineation. Several studies have analyzed the spatiotemporal pattern and dynamics of these alpine wetlands, but none have addressed the issues of wetland boundaries. The objective of this work was to discriminate the upper boundaries of alpine wetlands by coupling ecological methods and satellite observations. The combination of Landsat 8 images and supervised classification was an effective method for rapid identification of alpine wetlands in the Zoigê Plateau. Wet meadow was relatively stable compared with hydric soils and wetland hydrology and could be used as a primary indicator for discriminating the upper boundaries of alpine wetlands. A slope of less than 4.5° could be used as the threshold value for wetland delineation. The normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI) in 434 field sites showed that a threshold value of 0.3 could distinguish grasslands from emergent marsh and wet meadow in September. The median normalized difference water index(NDWI) of emergent marsh remained more stable than that of wet meadow and grasslands during the period from September until July of the following year. The index of mean density in wet meadow zones was higher than the emergent and upland zones. Over twice the number of species occurred in the wet meadow zone compared with the emergent zone, and close to the value of upland zone. Alpine wetlands in the three reserves in 2014 covered 1175.19 km2 with a classification accuracy of 75.6%. The combination of ecological methods and remote sensing technology will play an important role in wetland delineation at medium and small scales. | 6 | Boosting pH-Universal Hydrogen Evolution of Molybdenum Disulfide Particles by Interfacial Engineering显示文摘The design of high-efficiency non-noble and earth-abundant electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is highly paramount for water splitting and renewable energy systems.Molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))with abundant edge sites can be utilized as a promising alternative,but its catalytic activity is greatly related to the pH values,especially in an alkaline environment due to the extremely high energy barriers for water adsorption and dissociation steps.Here we report an exceptionally efficient and stable electrocatalyst to improve the sluggish HER process of layered MoS_(2)particles in different pH electrolytes,especially in base.The electrocatalyst is constructed by in situ growing selenium-doped MoS_(2)(Se-MoS_(2))nanoparticles on three-dimensional cobalt nickel diselenide(mCo_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)Se_(2))nanostructured arrays.Due to the large number of active edge sites of Se-MoS_(2)particles exposed at the surface,robust electrical conductivity and large surface area of mCo_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)Se_(2)support,and strong interfacial interactions between Se-MoS_(2)and mCo_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)Se_(2),this hybrid catalyst shows very outstanding catalytic HER properties featured by low overpotentials of 30 and 122 mV at 10 and 100 mA/cm^(2)with good operational stability in base,respectively,which outperforms most of inexpensive catalysts consisting of layered MoS_(2),transition metal selenides and sulfides,and it performs as well as noble Pt catalysts.Meanwhile,this electrocatalyst is also very active in neutral and acidic electrolytes,requiring low overpotentials of 93 and 94 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2),respectively,demonstrating its superb pH universality as a HER electrocatalyst with excellent catalytic durability.This study provides a straightforward strategy to construct an efficient non-noble electrocatalyst for driving the HER kinetics in different electrolytes. | Liling Liao Lun Yang Gang Zhao Haiqing Zhou Fengming Cai Yi Li Xiuzhang Wang Fang Yu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,2: | 2 |

| 8 | Continued evolution of the Eurasian avian-like H1N1 swine influenza viruses in China显示文摘Animal influenza viruses continue to pose a threat to human public health. The Eurasian avian-like H1N1(EA H1N1) viruses are widespread in pigs throughout Europe and China and have caused human infections in several countries, indicating their pandemic potential. To carefully monitor the evolution of the EA H1N1 viruses in nature, we collected nasal swabs from 103,110pigs in 22 provinces in China between October 2013 and December 2019, and isolated 855 EA H1N1 viruses. Genomic analysis of 319 representative viruses revealed that these EA H1N1 viruses formed eight different genotypes through reassortment with viruses of other lineages circulating in humans and pigs, and two of these genotypes(G4 and G5) were widely distributed in pigs.Animal studies indicated that some strains have become highly pathogenic in mice and highly transmissible in ferrets via respiratory droplets. Moreover, two-thirds of the EA H1N1 viruses reacted poorly with ferret serum antibodies induced by the currently used H1N1 human influenza vaccine, suggesting that existing immunity may not prevent the transmission of the EA H1N1 viruses in humans. | 16 | Autonomic reinnervation and functional regeneration in autologous transplanted submandibular glands in patients with severe keratoconjunctivitis sicca显示文摘Autologous submandibular gland(SMG) transplantation has been proved to ameliorate the discomforts in patients with severe keratoconjunctivitis sicca. The transplanted glands underwent a hypofunctional period and then restored secretion spontaneously.This study aims to investigate whether autonomic nerves reinnervate the grafts and contribute to the functional recovery, and further determine the origin of these nerves. Parts of the transplanted SMGs were collected from the epiphora patients, and a rabbit SMG transplantation model was established to fulfill the serial observation on the transplanted glands with time. The results showed that autonomic nerves distributed in the transplanted SMGs and parasympathetic ganglionic cells were observed in the stroma of the glands. Low-dense and unevenly distributed cholinergic axons, severe acinar atrophy and fibrosis were visible in the patients' glands 4–6 months post-transplantation, whereas the cholinergic axon density and acinar area were increased with time. The acinar area or the secretory flow rate of the transplanted glands was statistically correlated with the cholinergic axon density in the rabbit model, respectively. Meanwhile, large cholinergic nerve trunks were found to locate in the temporal fascia lower to the gland, and sympathetic plexus concomitant with the arteries was observed both in the adjacent fascia and in the stroma of the glands. In summary, the transplanted SMGs are reinnervated by autonomic nerves and the cholinergic nerves play a role in the morphological and functional restoration of the glands.
