2Arctic Sea Ice and Eurasian Climate:A Review显示文摘The Arctic plays a fundamental role in the climate system and has shown significant climate change in recent decades,including the Arctic warming and decline of Arctic sea-ice extent and thickness. In contrast to the Arctic warming and reduction of Arctic sea ice, Europe, East Asia and North America have experienced anomalously cold conditions, with record snowfall during recent years. In this paper, we review current understanding of the sea-ice impacts on the Eurasian climate.Paleo, observational and modelling studies are covered to summarize several major themes, including: the variability of Arctic sea ice and its controls; the likely causes and apparent impacts of the Arctic sea-ice decline during the satellite era,as well as past and projected future impacts and trends; the links and feedback mechanisms between the Arctic sea ice and the Arctic Oscillation/North Atlantic Oscillation, the recent Eurasian cooling, winter atmospheric circulation, summer precipitation in East Asia, spring snowfall over Eurasia, East Asian winter monsoon, and midlatitude extreme weather; and the remote climate response(e.g., atmospheric circulation, air temperature) to changes in Arctic sea ice. 3Chemical characteristics of PM_(2.5) during haze episodes in the urban of Fuzhou,China显示文摘Atmospheric fine particles(PM_(2.5)) were collected in this study with middle volume samplers in Fuzhou,China,during both normal days and haze days in summer(September 2007) and winter(January 2008).The concentrations,distributions,and sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),organic carbon(OC),elemental carbon(EC),and water soluble inorganic ions(WSIIs) were determinated.The results showed that the concentrations of PM2.5,PAHs,OC,EC,and WSIIs were in the orders of haze > normal and winter > summer.The dominant PAHs of PM2.5 in Fuzhou were Fluo,Pyr,Chr,BbF,BkF,BaP,BghiP,and IcdP,which represented about 80.0%of the total PAHs during different sampling periods.The BaPeq concentrations of ∑PAHs were 0.78,0.99,1.22,and 2.43 ng/m3 in summer normal,summer haze,winter normal,and winter haze,respectively.Secondary pollutants(SO_4^(2-),NO_3^-,NH_4^+.and OC) were the major chemical compositions of PM2.5,accounting for 69.0%,55.1%,63.4%,and 64.9%of PM2.5 mass in summer normal,summer haze,winter normal,and winter haze,respectively.Correspondingly,secondary organic carbon(SOC) in Fuzhou accounted for 20.1%,48.6%,24.5%,and 50.5%of OC.The average values of nitrogen oxidation ratio(NOR) and sulfur oxidation ratio(SOR) were higher in haze days(0.08 and 0.27) than in normal days(0.05 and 0.22).Higher OC/EC ratios were also found in haze days(5.0) than in normal days(3.3).Correlation analysis demonstrated that visibility had positive correlations with wind speed,and negative correlations with relative humidity and major air pollutants.Overall,the enrichments of PM_(2.5),OC,EC,SO_4^(2-),and NO_3^- promoted haze formation.Furthermore,the diagnostic ratios of IcdP/(IcdP + BghiP),IcdP/BghiP,OC/EC,and NO_3^-/SO_4^(2-) indicated that vehicle exhaust and coal consumption were the main sources of pollutants in Fuzhou.Fuwang Zhang Lingling Xu Jinsheng Chen Xiaoqiu Chen Zhenchuan Niu Tong Lei Chunming Li Jinping Zhao 2013Particuology2013,11,3:19

6Multi-robot path planning based on a deep reinforcement learning DQN algorithm显示文摘The unmanned warehouse dispatching system of the‘goods to people’model uses a structure mainly based on a handling robot,which saves considerable manpower and improves the efficiency of the warehouse picking operation.However,the optimal performance of the scheduling system algorithm has high requirements.This study uses a deep Q-network(DQN)algorithm in a deep reinforcement learning algorithm,which combines the Q-learning algorithm,an empirical playback mechanism,and the volume-based technology of productive neural networks to generate target Q-values to solve the problem of multi-robot path planning.The aim of the Q-learning algorithm in deep reinforcement learning is to address two shortcomings of the robot path-planning problem:slow convergence and excessive randomness.Preceding the start of the algorithmic process,prior knowledge and prior rules are used to improve the DQN algorithm.Simulation results show that the improved DQN algorithm converges faster than the classic deep reinforcement learning algorithm and can more quickly learn the solutions to path-planning problems.This improves the efficiency of multi-robot path planning.Yang Yang Li Juntao Peng Lingling 2020CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2020,5,3:15

10Chemical screen identifies a geroprotective role of quercetin in premature aging显示文摘Aging increases the risk of various diseases. The main goal of aging research is to find therapies that attenuate aging and alleviate aging-related diseases. In this study, we screened a natural product library for geroprotective compounds using Werner syndrome (WS) human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs), a premature aging model that we recently established. Ten candidate compounds were identified and quercetin was investigated in detail due to its leading effects. Mechanistic studies revealed that quercetin alleviated senescence via the enhancement of cell proliferation and restoration of heterochromatin architecture in WS hMSCs. RNA-sequencing analysis revealed the transcriptional commonalities and differences in the geroprotective effects by quercetin and Vitamin C. Besides WS hMSCs, quercetin also attenuated cellular senescence in Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) and physiological-aging hMSCs. 12Seasonal dynamics of water bloom-forming Microcystis morphospecies and the associated extracellular microcystin concentrations in large,shallow,eutrophic Dianchi Lake显示文摘The increasing occurrence of Microcystis blooms is of great concern to public health and ecosystem due to the potential hepatotoxic microcystins(MCs)produced by these colonial cyanobacteria.In order to interpret the relationships between variations of Microcystis morphospecies and extracellular MC concentrations,the seasonal dynamics of phytoplankton community composition,MC concentrations,and environmental parameters were monitored monthly from August,2009 to July,2010.The results indicated that Microcystis dominated total phytoplankton abundance from May to December(96%–99%of total biovolume),with toxic Microcystis viridis and non-toxic Microcystis wesenbergii dominating after July(constituting 65%–95%of the Microcystis population),followed by M.viridis as the sole dominant species from November to January(49%–93%).Correlation analysis revealed that water temperature and nutrient were the most important variables accounting for the occurrence of M.wesenbergii,while the dominance of M.viridis was related with nitrite and nitrate.The relatively low content of MCs was explained by the association with a large proportion of M.viridis and M.wesenbergii,small colony size of Microcystis populations,and low water temperature,pH and dissolved oxygen.The extracellular MC(mean of 0.5±0.2μg/L)of water samples analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)demonstrated the low concentrations of MC in Dianchi Lake which implied the low potential risk for human health in the basin.The survey provides the first whole lake study of the occurrence and seasonal variability of Microcystis population and extracellular MCs that are of particular interest for water quality monitoring and management.Yanlong Wu Lin Li Nanqin Gan Lingling Zheng Haiyan Ma Kun Shan Jin Liu Bangding Xiao Lirong Song 2014Journal of Environmental Sciences2014,26,9:12
13Plant HP1 protein ADCP1 links multivalent H3K9 methylation readout to heterochromatin formation显示文摘Heterochromatin Protein 1 (HP1) recognizes histone H3 lysine 9 methylation (H3K9me) through its conserved chromodomain and maintains heterochromatin from fission yeast to mammals. However, in Arabidopsis, Like Heterochromatin Protein 1 (LHP1) recognizes and colocalizes genome-wide with H3K27me3, and is the functional homolog of Polycomb protein. This raises the question whether genuine HP1 homologs exist in plants. Here, we report on the discovery of ADCP1, a plant-specific triple tandem Agenet protein, as a multivalent H3K9me reader in Arabidopsis, and establish that ADCP1 is essential for heterochromatin formation and transposon silencing through modulating H3K9 and DNA methylation levels. Structural studies revealed the molecular basis underlying H3K9me-specific recognition by tandem Agenet of ADCP1. Similar to human HP1α and fly HP1a, ADCP1 mediates heterochromatin phase separation. 14Cryptotanshinone suppresses key onco-proliferative and drugresistant pathways of chronic myeloid leukemia by targeting STAT5 and STAT3 phosphorylation显示文摘C-Myc and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) family proteins have been proposed to be important downstream genes of BCR-ABL, which characterizes most cases of chronic myeloid leukemia(CML). Here, we report a c-Myc pathway-targeted screening of seven natural anticancer compounds, in which we identified cryptotanshinone as a highly promising agent for CML therapy. Cryptotanshinone depletes c-Myc in CML by repressing the phosphorylation of STAT5.Decreased viability of K562 cells correlated with p-STAT5 suppression. Unexpectedly, imatinib activates rather than inhibits the phosphorylation of STAT3 in K562 cells. We demonstrated that cryptotanshinone, as a dual inhibitor of p-STAT5 and p-STAT3,can effectively block IL-6-mediated STAT3 activation and reverse BCR-ABL kinase-independent drug resistance. Moreover, we showed that the epigenetic rebalance between decreased BCR-ABL/STAT5/c-Myc and enhanced STAT3/multi-drug resistance(MDR) pathways is characteristic of the cancer stem cell-like property of K562/ADR. Simultaneously suppressing these two pathways using cryptotanshinone proves to be critical for the malignant network redress and MDR reversal of K562/ADR. 15Characteristics of secondary inorganic aerosol and sulfate species in size-fractionated aerosol particles in Shanghai显示文摘Sulfate, nitrate and ammonium(SNA) are the dominant species in secondary inorganic aerosol, and are considered an important factor in regional haze formation. Size-fractionated aerosol particles for a whole year were collected to study the size distribution of SNA as well as their chemical species in Shanghai. SNA mainly accumulated in fine particles and the highest average ratio of SNA to particulate matter(PM) was observed to be 47% in the fine size fraction(0.49–0.95 μm). Higher sulfur oxidation ratio and nitrogen oxidation ratio values were observed in PM of fine size less than 0.95 μm. Ion balance calculations indicated that more secondary sulfate and nitrate would be generated in PM of fine size(0.49–0.95 μm). Sulfur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES) spectra of typical samples were analyzed. Results revealed that sulfur mainly existed as sulfate with a proportion(atomic basis) more than 73% in all size of PM and even higher at 90% in fine particles. Sulfate mainly existed as(NH4)2SO4 and gypsum in PM of Shanghai. Compared to non-haze days, a dramatic increase of(NH4)2SO4 content was found in fine particles on haze days only, which suggested the promoting impact of(NH4)2SO4 on haze formation. According to the result of air mass backward trajectory analysis, more(NH4)2SO4 would be generated during the periods of air mass stagnation. 18WIP1 Phosphatase Plays a Critical Neuroprotective Role in Brain Injury Induced by High-Altitude Hypoxic Inflammation显示文摘The hypobaric hypoxic environment in highaltitude areas often aggravates the severity of inflammation and induces brain injury as a consequence. However, the critical genes regulating this process remain largely unknown. The phosphatase wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1(WIP1) plays important roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including the regulation of inflammation in normoxia, but its functions in hypoxic inflammation-induced brain injury remain unclear.Here, we established a mouse model of this type of injury and found that WIP1 deficiency augmented the release of inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral circulation and brain tissue, increased the numbers of activated microglia/macrophages in the brain, aggravated cerebral histological lesions, and exacerbated the impairment of motor and cognitive abilities.
