Depositional chemistry of chert during late Paleozoic from western Guangxi and its implication for the tectonic evolution of the Youjiang Basin显示文摘Continual deep-water sediments from the late Early Devonian to the Late Permian extended in wide areas of western Guangxi. We analyzed the major, trace, and rare earth elements of the Upper Paleozoic cherts in Badu, western Guangxi.High non-terrigenous SiO2 contents(Sinon-ter/Sibulk(%)> 80%) and pure chert components(> 70%) indicate a large extent of silicification in the Upper Paleozoic cherts, except for the Upper Devonian-Lower Carboniferous Luzhai Formation cherts, which have lower non-terrigenous SiO2 contents(avg.71.8%) and pure chert components(40%-70%).The Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) ratios and Feter/Febulk(%) values of samples from the lowest horizon of the Pingen Formation are 0.05-0.26,13.1%-14.5%,respectively,indicating hydrothermal origins. All other samples show high Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) ratios(0.39-0.81) and high Feter/Febulk(%) values(23.1%-186.8%),indicating non-hydrothermal origins. The Pingen Formation and Liujiang Formation cherts show slightly-moderately negative Ce anomalies(0.71±0.07,0.81±0.08,respectively) and higher Y/Ho ratios(33.49±1.27,36.10±2.05,respectively) than PAAS.This suggests that these cherts were deposited in the open marine basin, rather than in the intracontinental rift basin as previously assumed. The Luzhai Formation cherts may be deposited near the seamount or seafloor plateaus with no negative Ce anomalies(1.09±0.07) and no significant Y-Ho fractionation(Y/Ho=28.60±1.25).The Nandan Formation and Sidazhai Formation cherts were deposited in the open-ocean basin with moderately negative Ce anomalies(0.67±0.08,0.73±0.11,respectively) and high Y/Ho ratios(36.01±1.00,32.00±2.25,respectively).On the basis of our studies about cherts,we conclude that the Youjiang Basin originated as part of the Paleo-Tethys that controlled the depositional environments of cherts during late Paleozoic. The rift of the Youjiang Basin had occurred at least since the Early-Middle Devonian. The basin had a trend of evolving into an open-ocean basin during the Early-Middle Permian. | HUANG Hu DU YuanSheng HUANG ZhiQiang YANG JiangHai HUANG HongWei XIE ChunXia HU LiSha | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,3: | 20
Identification of SNPs in barley(Hordeum vulgare L.)by deep sequencing of six reduced representation libraries显示文摘High-density genetic markers are required for genotyping and linkage mapping in identifying genes from crops with complex genomes, such as barley. As the most common variation, single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) are suitable for accurate genotyping by using the next-generation sequencing(NGS) technology. Reduced representation libraries(RRLs) of five barley accessions and one mutant were sequenced using NGS technology for SNP discovery. Twenty million short reads were generated and the proportion of repetitive sequences was reduced by more than 56%. A total of 6061 SNPs were identified, and 451 were mapped to the draft sequence of the barley genome with pairing reads. Eleven SNPs were validated using length polymorphic allele-specific PCR markers. | Ganggang Guo Dawa Dondup Lisha Zhang Sha Hu Xingmiao Yuan Jing Zhang | 2014 | The Crop Journal2014,2,6: | 4
The dichotomous and incomplete adaptive immunity in COVID-19 patients with different disease severity显示文摘The adaptive immunity that protects patients from coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is not well characterized. In particular, the asymptomatic patients have been found to induce weak and transient SARS-CoV-2 antibody responses, but the underlying mechanisms remain unknown;meanwhile, the protective immunity that guide the recovery of these asymptomatic patients is elusive. Here,we characterized SARS-CoV-2-specific B-cell and T-cell responses in 10 asymptomatic patients and 64 patients with other disease severity(mild,n=10,moderate,n=32,severe,n=12)and found that asymptomatic or mild symptomatic patients failed to mount virus-specific germinal center(GC)B cell responses that result in robust and prolonged humoral immunity, assessed by GC response indicators including follicular helper T(TFH)cell and memory B cell responses as well as serum CXCL13 levels.Alternatively, these patients mounted potent virus-specific TH1 and CD8+T cell responses. In sharp contrast, patients of moderate or severe disease induced vigorous virus-specific GC B cell responses and associated TFH responses;however, the virus-specific TH1 and CD8+T cells were minimally induced in these patients. These results, therefore, uncovered the protective immunity in asymptomatic patients and also revealed the strikingly dichotomous and incomplete humoral and cellular immune responses in COVID-19 patients with different disease severity, providing important insights into rational design of effective COVID-19 vaccines. | Leiqiong Gao Jing Zhou Sen Yang Lisha Wang Xiangyu Chen Yang Yang Ren Li Zhiwei Pan Jing Zhao Zhirong Li Qizhao Huang Jianfang Tang Li Hu Pinghuang Liu Guozhong Zhang Yaokai Chen Lilin Ye | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,4: | 2
Detrital zircon of 4.1 Ga in South China显示文摘One hadean zircon from the Cambrian sandstone in the southern part of South China has a U-Pb age of 4107±29 Ma with ε Hf(t) value similar to that of the homochronous depleted mantle and Hf model age of 4102±21 Ma.This demonstrates the existence of hadean crustal remnant in South China.A close match between the U-Pb age and Hf model age with the highly position ε Hf(t) value indicates the growth and immediate reworking of juvenile crust from the depleted mantle at ca 4.1 Ga.The prominent 'Pan-African' and Grenville zircons derived from the exotic sources were also found in the sample, which indicates a linking between South China and Gondwana in the Cambrian period. The southern part of South China has complex histories of crustal growth and tectonic evolution. | XU YaJun DU YuanSheng HUANG HongWei HUANG ZhiQiang HU LiSha ZHU YanHui YU WenChao | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,33: | 2

Change in genotoxicity of wastewater during chlorine dioxide and chlorine disinfections and the influence of ammonia nitrogen显示文摘The effects of chlorine dioxide and chlorine disinfections on the genotoxicity of different biologically treated sewage wastewater samples were studied by umu-test.The experiment results showed that when chlorine dioxide dosage was increased from 0 to 30 mg/L,the genotoxicity of wastewater first decreased rapidly and then tended to be stable, while when the chlorine dosage was increased from 0 to 30 mg/L,the genotoxicity of wastewater changed diver sely for different samples. It was then found that ammonia nitro-gen did not affect the change of genotoxicity during chlorine dioxide disinfection of wastewater, while it greatly affected the change of genotoxicity during chlorine disin fection of wastewater. When the concentration of ammonia nitrogen was low(<10-20 mg/L),the genotoxicity of wastewater decreased after chlorine disinfection, and when the con-centration of ammonia nitrogen was high(>10-20 mg/L),the genotoxicity of wastewater increased after chlorine disinfection. | WANG Lisha HU Hongying WANG Chao Koichi Fujie | 2007 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,1: | 1
DP-UserPro:differentially private user profile construction and publication显示文摘User profiles are widely used in the age of big data. However, generating and releasing user profiles may cause serious privacy leakage, since a large number of personal data are collected and analyzed. In this paper,we propose a differentially private user profile construction method DP-UserPro,which is composed of DP-CLIQUE and privately top-κtags selection.DP-CLIQUE is a differentially private high dimensional data cluster algorithm based on CLIQUE.The multidimensional tag space is divided into cells,Laplace noises are added into the count value of each cell.Based on the breadth-first-search,the largest connected dense cells are clustered into a cluster. Then a privately top-κtags selection approach is proposed based on the score function of each tag,to select the most importantκtags which can represent the characteristics of the cluster.Privacy and utility of DP-UserPro are theoretically analyzed and experimentally evaluated in the last.Comparison experiments are carried out with Tag Suppression algorithm on two real datasets,to measure the False Negative Rate(FNR)and precision. The results show that DP-UserPro outperforms Tag Suppression by 62.5%in the best case and 14.25%in the worst case on FNR,and DP-UserPro is about 21.1%better on precision than that of Tag Suppression,in average. | Zheng HUO Ping HE Lisha HU Huanyu ZHAO | 2021 | Frontiers of Computer Science2021,15,5: | 0
Induction of diabetes in cynomolgus monkey with one shot of analytical grade streptozotocin显示文摘Backgrounds:Streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic monkey is a wide used preclinical animal model for the investigation of diabetes such as islet transplantation and development of diabetic drugs. There are serious side effects of this method, including nausea, emesis, weight loss, liver damage, renal failure, and metabolic acidosis. In order to reduce the side effects, diabetic monkeys were induced using clinicalgrade STZ.However,clinical-grade STZ is not available in China. Here,we establised a method by using 100 mg/kg analytical-grade STZ to induce complete diabetes in cynomolgus monkey without generating adverse effects to liver and renal. Methods:Three cynomolgus monkeys were used in this study.100 mg/kg STZ dissolved in normal saline and infused through vein line in 5 minutes after indwelling catheter in the carotid artery and jugular vein. After the STZ administration, blood glucose levels were examined every 1 or 2 hours in the first 48 hours. Then, blood glucose levels were examined twice per day during the first week after the STZ injection.Insulin and C-peptide levels were measured by ELISA.Blood chemistry of hepatic and renal function tests were performed.Insulin and glucagon expression in the islet of diabetic monkey and normal monkey were examined by immunohistochemistry assays. Results:The stimulated C-peptide level(Intravenous glucose tolerance test)which is less than 0.5 ng/mL,the triphasic blood glucose response and the destroyed β cell suggested the complete induction of diabetes model. No apparent adverse effects were observed including no signs of vomiting and toxicity after STZ injection. Conclusion:In summary,we established a safe and reproducible STZ-induced diabetic cynomolgus monkey model for islet transplantation which will be used to develop novel approaches for the treatment of diabetes. | Zhengzhao Liu Ying Lu Wenbao Hu Hidetaka Hara Yifan Dai Zhiming Cai Lisha Mou | 2020 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1: | 0
CFD Analysis of Fluid-Dynamic and Heat Transfer Effects Generated by a Fixed Electricity Transmission Line Interacting with an External Wind显示文摘The flow past a fixed single transmission conductor and the related heat transfer characteristics are investigated using computational fluid dynamics and a relevant turbulence model. After validating the method through comparison with relevant results in the literature, this thermofluid-dynamic problem is addressed considering different working conditions. It is shown that the resistance coefficient depends on the Reynolds number. As expected, the Nusselt number is also affected by Reynolds number. In particular, the Nusselt number under constant heat flux is always greater than that under a constant wall temperature. | Yajuan Jia Lisha Shang Jiangping Nan Guangping Hu Zhigang Fang | 2022 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2022,18,2: | 0
Tumor-specific memory CD8^(+)T cells are strictly resident in draining lymph nodes during tumorigenesis显示文摘The functional exhaustion of CD8^(+)T cells represents a fundamental hallmark of chronic viral infection and cancer and,in both scenarios,is driven by prolonged exposure to persistent cognate antigens in the context of an immunoinhibitory microenvironment.Exhausted CD8^(+)T cells upregulate the expression of a wide diversity of coinhibitory immunoreceptors(also referred to as immune checkpoint receptors),such as PD-1,Tim-3,LAG-3,and TIGIT.Concomitantly, exhausted CD8^(+)T cells lose their potential to differentiate into functional memory cells and are characterized by hierarchical loss of effector function, leading to compromised tumor control and viral eradication[1,2]. | Qiao Liu Ling Ran Zhengliang Yue Xingxing Su Lisha Wang Shuqiong Wen Shun Lei Xiaofan Yang Yan Zhang Jianjun Hu Jianfang Tang Zhirong Li Li Hu Bo Zhu Lifan Xu Lilin Ye Qizhao Huang | 2023 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,4: | 0

Superhydrophilic Polydopamine‑Modified Carbon‑Fiber Membrane with Rapid Seawater‑Transferring Ability for Constructing Efficient Hanging‑Model Evaporator显示文摘Solar-driven seawater desalination has attracted much attention for alleviating global freshwater shortage, but the practical application is often limited by complicated fabrication processes, unsatisfactory seawater-transferring and severe salt accu-mulation on the photothermal membranes. To solve these problems, hydrophobic industrial-grade carbon fiber membrane(CFM)with good photoabsorption was surface-modified with polydopamine(PDA)to prepare superhydrophilic CFM@PDA for the construction of efficient hanging-model evaporators without salt accumulation. The coating of PDA on CFM is realized by simple self-polymerization of dopamine, and the as-prepared CFM@PDA exhibits high solar absorption effi-ciency of 96.7%,good photothermal effect and superhydrophilicity.Especially, when CFM@PDA is hanging between two water tanks(one contains seawater and the other is empty)in a flat hanging-model evaporator,it can transport seawater at a high rate(26.35 g/h)which is 3.6 times that(7.28 g/h)of commercial cotton fabric.Under simulated sunlight(1.0 kW m^(-2))irradiation,CFM@PDA shows a high evaporation rate of 1.79 kg m^(-2) h^(-1) with a solar evaporation efficiency of 92.6%.Even if NaCl solution with a high concentration(21.0 wt%)is used for the evaporation, the hanging CFM@PDA can retain a high evaporation rate(~1.80 kg m^(-2) h^(-1))without salt accumulation during the long-time test(8 h),which is significantly better than that of the tradition floating model. Therefore, this study not only demonstrates the simple preparation of super-hydrophilic CFM@PDA,but also promotes the further practical applications of hanging-model evaporators for continuous salt-free desalination. | Wenmei Chong Ruru Meng Zixiao Liu Qiyue Liu Jinjing Hu Bo Zhu Daniel KMacharia Zhigang Chen Lisha Zhang | 2023 | Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,3: | 0

The SlTPL3–SlWUS module regulates multi-locule formation in tomato by modulating auxin and gibberellin levels in the shoot apical meristem显示文摘Malformed fruits depreciate a plant’s market value. In tomato(Solanum lycopersicum),fruit malformation is associated with the multi-locule trait, which involves genes regulating shoot apical meristem(SAM)development. The expression pattern of TOPLESS3(SITPL3)throughout SAM development prompted us to investigate its functional significance via RNA interference(RNAi)and clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated nuclease 9(Cas9)-mediated gene editing.Lower SITPL3 transcript levels resulted in larger fruits with more locules and larger SAMs at the 5 d after germination(DAG5)stage.Differentially expressed genes in the SAM of wild-type(WT)and SITPL3-RNAi plants, identified by transcriptome deep sequencing(RNA-seq),were enriched in the gibberellin(GA)biosynthesis and plant hormone signaling pathways. Moreover, exogenous auxin and paclobutrazol treatments rescued the multi-locule phenotype, indicating that SITPL3 affects SAM size by mediating auxin and GA levels in the SAM.Furthermore,SITPL3 interacted with WUSCHEL(SIWUS),which plays an important role in SAM size maintenance. We conducted RNA-seq and DNA affinity purification followed by sequencing(DAP-seq)analyses to identify the genes regulated by SITPL3 and SIWUS in the SAM and to determine how they regulate SAM size.We detected24 overlapping genes regulated by SITPL3 and SIWUS and harboring an SIWUS-binding motif in their promoters.Furthermore, functional annotation revealed a notable enrichment for functions in auxin transport, auxin signal transduction, and GA biosynthesis.Dual-luciferase assays also revealed that SITPL3 enhances SIWUS-mediated regulation(repression and activation)of SIPIN3 and SIGA2 ox4 transcription, indicating that the SITPL3-SIWUS module regulates SAM size by mediating auxin distribution and GA levels, and perturbations of this module result in enlarged SAM.These results provide novel insights into the molecular mechanism of SAM maintenance and locule formation in tomato and highlight the SITPL3-SIWUS module as a key regulator. | Shiwei Song Binbin Huang Zanlin Pan Qiuxiang Zhong Yinghua Yang Da Chen Lisha Zhu Guojian Hu Mi He Caiyu Wu Mohammed Zouine Riyuan Chen Mondher Bouzayen Yanwei Hao | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,11: | 0
Immunomodulatory and Antiviral Therapy Improved Functional Cure Rate in CHB Patients with High HBsAg Level Experienced NA显示文摘Background and Aims:A functional cure,or hepatitis B virus(HBV)surface antigen(HBsAg)loss,is difficult to achieve in patients with hepatitis B virus e antigen(HBeAg)-positive chronic hepatitis B.The HBV vaccine and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF)have been reported to help reduce HBsAg levels and promote HBsAg loss.In this prospective randomized trial,we evaluated HBsAg loss in patients receiving pegylated interferon α2b(PEGIFN-α2b)and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF),with and without GM-CSF and HBV vaccination. Methods:A total of 287 patients with HBeAg positive chronic hepati-tis B and seroconversion after nucleot(s)ide analog treat-ment were assigned randomly to three treatment groups for 48 weeks,TDF alone(control),PEGIFN-α2b+TDF,and PEGIFN-α2b+TDF+GM-CSF+HBV vaccine. The prima-ry endpoints were the proportions of patients with HBsAg loss and seroconversion at 48 and 72 weeks.Resu/ts:The cumulative HBsAg loss rates in the control,PEGIFN-α2b+TDF,and PEGIFN-α2b+TDF+GM-CSF+HBV vaccine groups at week 48 were 0.0%,28.3%,and 41.1%,respec-tively.The cumulative HBsAg seroconversion rates in these groups at week 48 were 0.0%,21.7%,and 33.9%,respec-tively.Multivariate regression analysis showed that GM-CSF use plus HBV vaccination was significantly associated with HBsAg loss(p=0.017)and seroconversion(p=0.030).Con-clusions:In patients with HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B and seroconversion after nucleot(s)ide analog treatment,immunomodulatory/antiviral treatment regimens effective-ly improved HBsAg loss, and the regimen including GM-CSF and HBV vaccination was most effective. | Hongyu Jia Guodong Yu Jiong Yu Xiaoli Zhang Lisha Yang Bin Wang Jiming Zhang Lang Bai Xinxin Zhang Kai Wang Ping Zhao Dongliang Yang Yingren Zhao Yanyan Yu Yimin Zhang Jueqing Gu Chanyuan Ye Huan Cai Yingfeng Lu Dairong Xiang Liang Yu Jiangshan Lian Jianhua Hu Shanyan Zhang Ciliang Jin Yida Yang | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,5: | 0
