1Flexible, Porous, and Metal–Heteroatom?Doped Carbon Nanofibers as Efficient ORR Electrocatalysts for Zn–Air Battery显示文摘Developing an e cient and durable oxygen reduction electrocatalyst is critical for clean-energy technology, such as fuel cells and metal–air batteries. In this study, we developed a facile strategy for the preparation of flexible, porous, and well-dispersed metal–heteroatom-doped carbon nanofibers by direct carbonization of electrospun Zn/Co-ZIFs/PAN nanofibers(Zn/Co-ZIFs/PAN). The obtained Zn/Co and N co-doped porous carbon nanofibers carbonized at 800 °C(Zn/Co–N@PCNFs-800) presented a good flexibility, a continuous porous structure, and a superior oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) catalytic activity to that of commercial 20 wt% Pt/C, in terms of its onset potential(0.98 V vs. RHE), half-wave potential(0.89 V vs. RHE), and limiting current density(-5.26 mA cm^(-2)). In addition, we tested the suitability and durability of Zn/Co–N@PCNFs-800 as the oxygen cathode for a rechargeable Zn–air battery. The prepared Zn–air batteries exhibited a higher power density(83.5 mW cm^(-2)), a higher specific capacity(640.3 mAh g^(-1)), an excellent reversibility, and a better cycling life than the commercial 20 wt% Pt/C + RuO_2 catalysts. 3Studies on the roles of vanadyl sulfate and sodium nitrite in catalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol with molecular oxygen显示文摘An efficient catalytic system consisting of vanadyl sulfate/sodium nitrite was disclosed previously for the oxidation of benzylic alcohols into aldehydes with molecular oxygen.However,the roles of catalyst components were not investigated.In this paper,we examined catalytic oxidation of benzyl alcohol as a model reaction,especially by infrared spectroscopy.The role of each component is discussed including nitrite,vanadyl,sulphate,and water.Sodium nitrite could be converted into nitrate and nitric acid.The vanadium(IV)could be smoothly oxidized into vanadium(V)under mild and acidic conditions without any organic ligands.The transformation of sulfate and bisulfate,the cessation of an induction period,and the oxidation of benzyl alcohol were closely interrelated.The multiple roles of water are discussed,including reduction of the induction period,participation in redox cycles of nitric compounds,deactivation of vanadium,and as a byproduct of oxidation.This study contributes to further development of aerobic oxidation using vanadium based catalysts.Zhongtian Du Junxia Liu Tianliang Lu Yangyang Ma Jie Xu 2015Science China Chemistry2015,58,1:1
4Review on status of groundwater database and application prospect in deep-time digital earth plan显示文摘Groundwater is an important water resource.The total amount of active groundwater in a hydrological cycle is about 3.5 times that of the total amount of surface water.The information in the deep groundwater records the material exchange and dynamics in the earth’s evolution,which is an important aspect of the Deep-Time Digital Earth(DDE)plan.In recent years,scientists have discussed the distribution of transboundary aquifers and the environmental significance of groundwater resources through groundwater databases established by international organizations,such as the Global Groundwater Information System and the chronicles consortium,and national institutes,such as national geological surveys.The application of the groundwater database in the DDE plan,however,has been limited by the management,interactivity,and monitoring method of the groundwater data.The ability to further integrate data that are private and scattered across research institutions and individuals,while establishing an open,unified,and shared groundwater data platform,is essential to enhance our understanding of groundwater,ranging from shallow to deep water,which is a goal of the DDE plan.In this study,we introduced the current situation of groundwater database operations in domestic and international research and provided frontier research with groundwater big data.Considering the related objectives of the DDE plan and the limitations of existing groundwater databases,we proposed an improvement plan and new prospects for applying groundwater databases in the research of the deep earth.Wenkai Qiu Teng Ma Yanxin Wang Jianmei Cheng Chunli Su Junxia Li 2022Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,4:1

6Long-term declining in carbon monoxide(CO)at a rural site of Beijing during 2006-2018 implies the improved combustion efficiency and effective emission control显示文摘Carbon monoxide(CO)is primarily the result of incomplete combustion,which has impor-tant impacts on the atmospheric chemical cycle and climate.Improved quantitative char-acterization of long-term CO trends is important for both atmospheric modeling and the design and implementation of policies to efficiently control multiple pollutants.Due to the limitations of high time-resolution and high-quality long-term observational data,studies on long-term trends in the CO concentration in China are quite limited.In this study,the observational data of the concentration of CO in a rural site of Beijing during 2006-2018 was used to analyze the long-term trend in CO concentration in Beijing.The Theil-Sen method and the generalized additive model(GAM)-based method,were used to conduct the trend estimation analysis.We found that the concentration of CO at the Shangdianzi site showed a significant downward trend during 2006-2018,with a decline rate of 22.8±5.1 ppbV per year.The declining trend in CO also showed phasic characteristics,with a fast decreasing rate during the period of 2006-2008,stable variations during the period of 2009-2013 and a continuous downward trend after 2013.The declining trend in the CO concentration in the south to west(S-W)sectors where the polluted air masses come from is more rapid than that in the sectors where the clean air masses come from.The declining trend in the CO concentration implies the improved combustion efficiency and the successful air pollution control policies in Beijing and the surrounding area.Yingruo Li Zhiqiang Ma Tingting Han Weijun Quan Junxia Wang Huaigang Zhou Di He Fan Dong 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:1

9Monitoring and Modeling the Effects of Groundwater Flow on Arsenic Transport in Datong Basin显示文摘Although arsenic-contaminated groundwater in the Datong Basin has been studied for more than 10 years, little has been known about the complex patterns of solute transport in the aquifer systems. Field monitoring and transient 3D unsaturated groundwater flow modeling studies were carried out on the riparian zone of the Sanggan River at the Datong Basin, northern China, to better understand the effects of groundwater flow on As mobilization and transport. The results indicate that irrigation is the primary factor in determining the groundwater flow paths. Irrigation can not only increase groundwater level and reduce horizontal groundwater velocity and thereby accelerate vertical and horizontal groundwater exchange among sand, silt and clay formations, but also change the HSconcentration, redox conditions of the shallow groundwater. Results of net groundwater flux estimation suggest that vertical infiltration is likely the primary control of As transport in the vadose zone, while horizontal water exchange is dominant in controlling As migration within the sand aquifers. Recharge water, including irrigation return water and flushed saltwater, travels downward from the ground surface to the aquifer and then nearly horizontally across the sand aquifer. 10Degradation Behavior of Ti-6Al-4V Alloys for Dental Applications in Acidic Artificial Saliva Containing Fluoride Ion显示文摘The aim of this work was to study the degradation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V alloys for dental applications in acidic artificial saliva with fluoride ion using electrochemical techniques, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS). The experimental results showed that fluoride ion had significant influence on the degradation of Ti-6Al-4V alloys, and there was an obvious critical concentration of fluoride ion(about 0.1wt%). With increasing fluoride ion concentration, the corrosion potential(Ecorr) of alloys moved toward negative and the impedance of alloys decreased, meanwhile, noticeable transformation from minimum corrosion to severe pitting corrosion was observed on alloys surface following the dissolution of TiO_2 passive films, leading to the decrease of the corrosion resistance of alloys. The electrochemical dissolution of TiO_2 passive films involved a nucleophilic attack of fluoride atom to the titanium atom of TiO_2. 13Taming quantum dots’nucleation and growth enables stable and efficient blue-light-emitting devices显示文摘Controlling quantum dots’emission,nanostructure,and energy level alignment to achieve stable and efficient blue emission is of great significance for electroluminescence devices but remains a challenge.Here,a series of blue ZnCdSeS/ZnS quantum dots was optimized in preparation by taming their nucleation and growth kinetics.Controlling anion precursor reactive properties to modulate quantum dots’nucleation and growth tailors their alloy core and continuous gradient energy band nanostructure.These results not only elevate the thermal stability of blue quantum dots but also further enhance the injection/transportation of carriers and improve the radiative recombination efficiency in the device.The blue ZnCdSeS/ZnS quantum dots applied in light-emitting devices show superior performance,including maximum current efficiency and external quantum efficiency of,respectively,8.2 cd/A and 15.8%for blue,2.6 cd/A and 10.0%for blue-violet,and 10.9 cd/A and 13.4%for sky-blue devices.The blue and sky-blue devices exhibit lifetimes of more than 10,000 h.The proposed methodology for tailoring quantum dots is expected to pave new guidelines for further facilitating visible optoelectronic device exploration.ZHIWEI MA JUNXIA HU LIPING TANG BINGBING LYU 2022Photonics Research2022,10,10:0
14Junctional and somatic hypermutation-induced CX4C motif is critical for the recognition of a highly conserved epitope on HCV E2 by a human broadly neutralizing antibody显示文摘Induction of broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies(bNAbs)that bind to the viral envelope glycoproteins is a major goal of hepatitis C virus(HCV)vaccine research.The study of bNAbs arising in natural infection is essential in this endeavor.We generated a human antibody,8D6,recognizing the E2 protein of HCV isolated from a chronic hepatitis C patient.This antibody shows broadly neutralizing activity,which covers a pan-genotypic panel of cell culture-derived HCV virions(HCVcc).Functional and epitope analyses demonstrated that 8D6 can block the interaction between E2 and CD81 by targeting a highly conserved epitope on E2.We describe how the 8D6 lineage evolved via somatic hypermutation to achieve broad neutralization.We found that the V(D)J recombination-generated junctional and somatic hypermutation-induced disulfide bridge(C-C)motif in the CDRH3 is critical for the broad neutralization and binding activity of 8D6.This motif is conserved among a series of broadly neutralizing HCV antibodies,indicating a common binding model.Next,the 8D6 inferred germline(iGL)was reconstructed and tested for its binding affinity and neutralization activity.Interestingly,8D6 iGL-mediated relatively strong inhibition of the 1b genotype PR79L9 strain,suggesting that PR79L9 may serve as a potential natural viral strain that provides E2 sequences that induce bNAbs.Overall,our detailed epitope mapping and genetic studies of the HCV E2-specific mAb 8D6 have allowed for further refinement of antigenic sites on E2 and reveal a new mechanism to generate a functional CDRH3,while its iGL can serve as a probe to identify potential HCV vaccine strains.Chunyan Yi Jing Xia Lan He Zhiyang Ling Xuesong Wang Yu Yan Jiangjun Wang Xinhao Zhao Weiguo Fan Xiaoyu Sun Ronghua Zhang Sheng Ye Rongguang Zhang Yongfen Xu Liyan Ma Yaguang Zhang Honglin Zhou Zhong Huang Junqi Niu Gang Long Junxia Lu Jin Zhong Bing Sun 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,3:0
15State Estimation Moving Window Gradient Iterative Algorithm for Bilinear Systems Using the Continuous Mixed p-norm Technique显示文摘This paper studies the parameter estimation problems of the nonlinear systems described by the bilinear state space models in the presence of disturbances.A bilinear state observer is designed for deriving identification algorithms to estimate the state variables using the input-output data.Based on the bilinear state observer,a novel gradient iterative algorithm is derived for estimating the parameters of the bilinear systems by means of the continuous mixed p-norm cost function.The gain at each iterative step adapts to the data quality so that the algorithm has good robustness to the noise disturbance.Furthermore,to improve the performance of the proposed algorithm,a dynamicmoving window is designed which can update the dynamical data by removing the oldest data and adding the newestmeasurement data.A numerical example of identification of bilinear systems is presented to validate the theoretical analysis.Wentao Liu Junxia Ma Weili Xiong 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,2:0
16How Did Poverty Reduction in China Contribute to theWorld?Viewing from the Implementation of the UN MDGs and SDGs显示文摘Countries all over the world are highly concerned about poverty.Both the Millennium Development Goals(MDGs)and Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)of the United Nations set ending poverty and hunger as their top priority.Whether in its own modernization drive or in the implementation of the United Nations’MDGs and SDGs,the Chinese Government has always attached great importance to poverty issues,and actively explored measures to reduce poverty.This paper is designed to use relevant statistics to sum up China’s achievements and experience in implementing the MDGs so as to provide a policy basis for poverty reduction in China and beyond.This paper discovers that China’s achievements in poverty reduction involve four aspects:Eliminating hunger ahead of schedule,improving people’s nutritional status,enhancing food security and laying a solid foundation for sustainable agricultural development;China’s experience in poverty reduction includes the following:the government had paid high attention;economic development had served as the key to solve all problems;the development had been guided by planning and guaranteed by policies and regulations;the market mechanism had played its due role;emphasis had been placed on the pilot projects and step-by-step promotion strategy,as well as on development cooperation and experience exchanges.The Chinese Government had formulated specific plans to achieve the poverty reduction targets set in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.Besides,the Rural Revitalization Strategy proposed by the Chinese Government in 2017 has become the essential strategy to solve the poverty-related issues in China’s development.GAO Liangliang MA Cuiping ZENG Junxia WANG Bin LI Yue 2019Chinese Journal of Urban and Environmental Studies2019,7,1:0

19A Novel Feature Aggregation Approach for Image Retrieval Using Local and Global Features显示文摘The current deep convolution features based on retrievalmethods cannot fully use the characteristics of the salient image regions.Also,they cannot effectively suppress the background noises,so it is a challenging task to retrieve objects in cluttered scenarios.To solve the problem,we propose a new image retrieval method that employs a novel feature aggregation approach with an attention mechanism and utilizes a combination of local and global features.The method first extracts global and local features of the input image and then selects keypoints from local features by using the attention mechanism.After that,the feature aggregation mechanism aggregates the keypoints to a compact vector representation according to the scores evaluated by the attention mechanism.The core of the aggregation mechanism is to allow features with high scores to participate in residual operations of all cluster centers.Finally,we get the improved image representation by fusing aggregated feature descriptor and global feature of the input image.To effectively evaluate the proposedmethod,we have carried out a series of experiments on large-scale image datasets and compared them with other state-of-the-art methods.Experiments show that this method greatly improves the precision of image retrieval and computational efficiency.Yuhua Li Zhiqiang He Junxia Ma Zhifeng Zhang Wangwei Zhang Prasenjit Chatterjee Dragan Pamucar 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,4:0
