| 2 | Reliability analysis of marine risers with narrow and long corrosion defects under combined loads显示文摘A marine riser, one of the most important components of offshore oil/gas transportation, needs to be designed to eliminate the risks caused by complex ocean environments, platform displacement and internal corrosion, etc. In this study, a new analytical-numerical assessment approach is proposed in order to quantitatively investigate the reliability of internally corroded risers under combined loads including axial tension and internal pressure. First, an analytical solution of the limit state function of intact risers under combined loads is obtained, which is further modified by the non-dimensional corrosion depth(d/ t) for the risers with a narrow and long corrosion defect. The relationship between d/t and limited internal pressure is obtained by finite element analysis and nonlinear regression. Through an advanced first-order reliability method(HL-RF) algorithm, reliability analysis is performed to obtain the failure probability, the reliability index and the sensitivity. These results are further verified by Monte-Carlo importance sampling. | 3 | Metal Sealing Performance of Subsea X-tree Wellhead Connector Sealer显示文摘The metal sealing performance of subsea X-tree wellhead connectors is crucial for the safety and reliability of subsea X-trees. In order to establish the theoretical relation between metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure, a mechanical analysis method for double-cone sealing of high pressure vessels is applied in analyzing the metal sealing ring under the condition of preload and operation. As a result, the formula of the unit sealing load for the metal sealing ring under operation with residual preload is shown in this paper, which ensures that the metal sealing ring has an excellent sealing effect and can prevent the metal sealing ring from yielding. Besides, while analyzing the sealing process of the metal sealing ring, the change rule of contact stress and working pressure is concluded here, putting forward that the structural parameters of the metal sealing ring are the major factors affecting the change rule. Finally, the analytical solution through theoretical analysis is compared with the simulation result through finite element analysis in a force feedback experiment, and both are consistent with each other, which fully verifies for the design and calculation theory on metal sealing ring's contact stress and its structural parameters and working pressure deduced in this paper. | 4 | Systematic Identification of the Light-quality Responding Anthocyanin Synthesis-related Transcripts in Petunia Petals显示文摘Previous studies have shown that high light intensity can induce anthocyanin synthesis(AS)in petunia plants.To identifywhich kind of light quality plays a role in inducing such metabolic process,and what transcripts participate in controlling it,we carried out whole-transcriptome sequencing and analysis of petunia petals treated with different light-quality conditions.Among the red and white light treatments,a total of 2205 differentially expressed genes and 15,22,and 20 differentially expressed circRNAs,miRNAs,and lncRNAs,were identified respectively.The AS-related genes,including the structural genes CHSj,F3H,F35H,DFR,and ANS,and the regulatory genes AN4,DPL,PHZ and MYBx were found to be downregulated under red light condition compared with their levels under white light condition.Furthermore,the light photoreceptor Cryptochrome 3(CRY3)and a series of light-dependent genes,such as PIF,HY5,andBBXs,were also determined to respond to the light treatments.The anthocyanin contents in early petunia petals under red light were significantly lower than that under white and blue light.The results of qRT-PCR further confirmed the expression pattern of some AS-related and light-response genes in response to different light quality.Yeast two-hybrid results showed that the key elements in the light signal pathway,HY5 can interact with BBX19,BBX24 and BBX25.And PHZ,the important AS regulator can induce anthocyanin synthesis in response to blue light quality fromtransient expression analysis in petunia petals.These findings presented here not only deepen our understanding of how light quality controls anthocyanin synthesis,but also allow us to explore potential target genes for improving pigment production in petunia flower petals. | Zhenzhu Fu Hongquan Shang Hui Jiang Jie Gao Xiaoyu Dong Huijuan Wang Yanmin Li Limin Wang Jing Zhang Qingyan Shu Yacong Chao Menglan Xu Rui Wang Liangsheng Wang Hechen Zhang | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,6: | 7 |

| 12 | Lateral buckling of non-trenched high temperature pipelines with pipelay imperfections显示文摘An analysis method for the buckling process of a pipe section with a random pipelay imperfection is proposed. Four basic lateral modes,acquired by fi nite-element(FE) eigenvalue buckling analysis,are combined to provide the needed grid conf igurations for describing a real pipelay imperfection and an arc-length algorithm is used to analyze the snap-through process of the shell-element-grid model under nonlinear frictional boundary conditions. This paper also presents evaluation methods for the lateral buckling of two types of pipe-in-pipe systems that are used in the offshore oil and gas industry. For evaluating the buckling and postbuckling of compliant pipe-in-pipe systems FE analyses were carried out to judge the occurrence of the system buckling and furthermore to check postbuckling stresses induced in the buckles. The calculated results of the modifi ed Riks algorithm indicate that only when high temperature would not trigger an abrupt short-wavelength buckle and when no yielding has been induced in the unavoidable long-wavelength buckles,the thermal stability and safety of compliant pipe-in-pipe systems can be proved. In the non-compliant pipe-in-pipe systems,fi rstly small-amplitude buckles of the carrier pipe may occur in the annulus between carrier pipe and casing pipe and the contact forces between the spacers and the casing pipe may drive the buckle of the pipe-in-pipe systems on the seabed. | 14 | The chromosome-level Stevia genome provides insights into steviol glycoside biosynthesis显示文摘Stevia(Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni)is well known for its very sweet steviol glycosides(SGs)consisting of a common tetracyclic diterpenoid steviol backbone and a variable glycone.Steviol glycosides are 150–300 times sweeter than sucrose and are used as natural zero-calorie sweeteners.However,the most promising compounds are biosynthesized in small amounts.Based on Illumina,PacBio,and Hi-C sequencing,we constructed a chromosome-level assembly of Stevia covering 1416 Mb with a contig N50 value of 616.85 kb and a scaffold N50 value of 106.55 Mb.More than four-fifths of the Stevia genome consisted of repetitive elements.We annotated 44,143 high-confidence protein-coding genes in the high-quality genome.Genome evolution analysis suggested that Stevia and sunflower diverged~29.4 million years ago(Mya),shortly after the whole-genome duplication(WGD)event(WGD-2,~32.1 Mya)that occurred in their common ancestor.Comparative genomic analysis revealed that the expanded genes in Stevia were mainly enriched for biosynthesis of specialized metabolites,especially biosynthesis of terpenoid backbones,and for further oxidation and glycosylation of these compounds.We further identified all candidate genes involved in SG biosynthesis.Collectively,our current findings on the Stevia reference genome will be very helpful for dissecting the evolutionary history of Stevia and for discovering novel genes contributing to SG biosynthesis and other important agronomic traits in future breeding programs. | Xiaoyang Xu Haiyan Yuan Xiaqing Yu Suzhen Huang Yuming Sun Ting Zhang Qingquan Liu Haiying Tong Yongxia Zhang Yinjie Wang Chunxiao Liu Lei Wu Menglan Hou Yongheng Yang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |
| 15 | Development of a widely targeted volatilomics method for profiling volatilomes in plants显示文摘Volatile organic compounds play essential roles in plant environment interactions as well as determining the fragrance of plants.Although gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-based untargeted metabolo-mics is commonly used to assess plant volatiles,it suffers from high spectral convolution,low detection sensitivity,a limited number of annotated metabolites,and relatively poor reproducibility.Here,we report a widely targeted volatilomics(WTV)method that involves using a“targeted spectra extraction”algorithm to address spectral convolution,constructing a high-coverage MS2 spectral tag library to expand volatile annotation,adapting a multiple reaction monitoring mode to improve sensitivity,and using regression models to adjust for signal drift.The newly developed method was used to profile the volatilome of rice grains.Compared with the untargeted method,the newly developed WTV method shows higher sensitivity(for example,the signal-to-noise ratio of guaicol increased from 4.1 to 18.8),high annotation coverage(the number of annotated volatiles increased from 43 to 132),and better reproducibility(the number of volatiles in quality control samples with relative standard deviation value below 30.0%increased from 14 to 92 after normalization).Using the WTV method,we studied the metabolic responses of tomato to environmental stimuli and profiled the volatilomes of different rice accessions.The results identified benzothiazole as a potential airborne signal priming tomato plants for enhanced defense and 2-nonanone and 2-heptanone as novel aromatic compounds contributing to rice fragrance.These case studies suggest that the widely targeted volatilomics method is more efficient than those currently used and may considerably promote plant volatilomics studies. | Honglun Yuan Guangping Cao Xiaodong Hou Menglan Huang Pengmeng Du Tingting Tan Youjin Zhang Haihong Zhou Xianqing Liu Ling Liu Yiding Jiangfang Yufei Li Zhenhuan Liu Chuanying Fang Liqing Zhao Alisdair R.Fernie Jie Luo | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,1: | 2 |
| 16 | 双重卡口机构对波浪能转换器性能的影响评估显示文摘Lower efficiencies induce higher energy costs and pose a barrier to wave energy devices'commercial applications.Therefore,the efficiency enhancement of wave energy converters has received much attention in recent decades.The reported research presents the double snap-through mechanism applied to a hemispheric point absorber type wave energy converter(WEC)to improve the energy absorption perfomance.The double snap-through mechanism comprises four oblique springs mounted in an X-configuration.This provides the WEC with different dynamic stability behaviors depending on the particular geometric and physical parameters employed.The efficiency of these different WEC behaviors(linear,bistable,and tristable)was initially evaluated under the action of regular waves.The results for bistable or tristable responses indicated significant improvements in the WEC's energy capture efficiency.Furthermore,the WEC frequency bandwidth was shown to be significantly enlarged when the tristable mode was in operation.However,the corresponding tristable trajectory showed intra-well behavior in the middle potential well,which induced a more severe low-energy absorption when a small wave amplitude acted on the WEC compared to when the bistable WEC was employed.Nevertheless,positive effects were observed when appropriate initial conditions were imposed.The results also showed that for bistable or tristable responses,a suitable spring stiffness may cause the buoy to oscillate in high energy modes. | Bingqi Liu Carlos Levi Segen F.Estefen Zhijia Wu Menglan Duan | 2021 | Journal of Marine Science and Application2021,20,2: | 2 |
| 17 | Effects of supports and combined process on hydrogen purification over nickel supported catalysts显示文摘Hydrogen purification must be done to meet the different purposes of hydrogen utilization.In the present work,it is confirmed that the catalyst Ni/CeO2 has the highest activity for total methanation(Total MET) of CO and CO2,and is thus most suitable for hydrogen purification for ammonia synthesis.While,the catalyst Ni/ZrO2 appears the best one for selective methanation of CO(CO-SMET) in the H2-rich gas to produce clean fuel for proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC).In spite of this,the catalyst Ni/ZrO2 without adding chlorine ions as promoter is not yet capable of removing the CO in the reformate gas to below 10 ppm in a wide reaction temperature range by the way of CO-SMET.Adding chlorine ions as promoter is indeed not favorable for practical application due to its gradual loss in the catalytic reaction as proved in our previous work.Therefore,a step to decrease CO2 concentration(called as de-CO2 step) is suggested to be set prior to the CO-SMET step in this work.It is proved that such combination of de-CO2 step and CO-SMET step is efficient to achieve a deep removal of CO to below 10 ppm with a high selectivity more than 50% in a wide reaction temperature range of 220-280℃over the catalyst Ni/ZrO2 without adding chlorine ions as promoter.The combined process has potential for practical application,at least in the large-scale power plant of PEMFC. | Menglan Xiao Lu Zhang Yanyan Sang Zhiming Gao | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,1: | 2 |
