| 1 | Mussel-inspired agarose hydrogel scaffolds for skin tissue engineering显示文摘Polysaccharide hydrogels are widely used in tissue engineering because of their superior biocompatibility and low immunogenicity.However,many of these hydrogels are unrealistic for practical applications as the cost of raw materials is high,and the fabrication steps are tedious.This study focuses on the facile fabrication and optimization of agarose-polydopamine hydrogel(APG)scaffolds for skin wound healing.The first study objective was to evaluate the effects of polydopamine(PDA)on the mechanical properties,water holding capacity and cell adhesiveness of APG.We observed that APG showed decreased rigidity and increased water content with the addition of PDA.Most importantly,decreased rigidity translated into significant increase in cell adhesiveness.Next,the slow biodegradability and high biocompatibility of APG with the highest PDA content(APG3)was confirmed.In addition,APG3 promoted full-thickness skin defect healing by accelerating collagen deposition and promoting angiogenesis.Altogether,we have developed a straightforward and efficient strategy to construct functional APG scaffold for skin tissue engineering,which has translation potentials in clinical practice. | Ting Su Mengying Zhang Qiankun Zeng Wenhao Pan Yijing Huang Yuna Qian Wei Dong Xiaoliang Qi Jianliang Shen | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,3: | 6 |
| 2 | Boron nitride microsphere/epoxy composites with enhanced thermal conductivity显示文摘As modern electronics are developed towards miniaturisation,high-degree integration and intelligentisation,a large amount of heat will be generated during the operation of devices.How to efficiently remove needless heat is becoming more and more crucial for the lifetime and performance of electronic devices.Many efforts have been made to improve the thermal conductivity of polymer composites,which is an important component of electronics.Herein,the authors report on preparation of boron nitride micosphere/epoxy composites.The cross-plane thermal conductivity of the resultant composites is up to 1.03 Wm‒1K‒1.This is attributed to the thermally conductive network formed by the peeled hexagonal boron nitride flakes.Thanks to the superior thermal stability of boron nitride micosphere,the boron nitride micosphere/epoxy composite shows a decreased coefficient of thermal expansion(53.47 ppm/K)and an increased glass transition temperature(147.2℃)compared with the pure epoxy resin.In addition,the boron nitride micosphere/epoxy composite exhibits a lower dielectric constant compared with that of the hexagonal boron nitride/epoxy composite.This strategy can potentially pave the way for the design and fabrication of materials with high cross-plane thermal conductivity and lower dielectric properties. | Jiajia Sun De Wang Yimin Yao Xiaoliang Zeng Guiran Pan Yun Huang Jiantao Hu Rong Sun Jian-Bin Xu Ching-Ping Wong | 2017 | High Voltage2017,2,3: | 2 |

| 4 | Mechanism of the Effect of Bacillus coagulans on Production Performance of Laying Hens in Late Laying Period显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to investigate the mechanism of Bacillus coagulans preparation in improving production performance of laying hens in late period of laying.[Method]A total of 648 individuals of'Jingfen 1'laying hens(66 weeks of age)in late period of laying were randomly divided into four groups,six replicates each group,and each group had 27 individuals of laying hens.The laying hens in control group were fed with basal diet,and those in experimental groupsⅠ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ were fed with the basal diets added with 3.33×10^6,1×10^7,3.33×10^7 CFU/g B.coagulans,respectively.The pretrial lasted one week,and the formal test lasted eight weeks.[Result]Compared with the control group,the laying rate in group Ⅰ increased significantly,and the feed-gain ratio in experimental group Ⅱ decreased noticeably while the spleen index increased remarkably;the alkaline phosphatase activities and blood calcium content in experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ increased significantly(P<0.05),while the triglyceride content decreased remarkably(P<0.05);the urea content in experimental groups Ⅰ and Ⅱ decreased obviously(P<0.05).Adding B.coagulans significantly increased the specific activity of amylase,lipase and protease in various intestinal mucosa of small intestine(P<0.05);adding B.coagulans significantly increased the content of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and estradiol(E2),and significantly increased the mRNA expression of follicle stimulating hormone receptor gene(FSHR).[Conclusion]B.coagulans preparation could significantly improve the production performance of laying hens in late period of laying;appropriately enhance the immune capacity of laying hens;improve the serum biochemical indicators;increase the activity of digestive enzymes in the small intestine;and promote the release of gonadal hormone and the mRNA expression of FSHR gene in the ovary. | Xing Guanrun Lang Xinrui Wu Ji’an Lou Hongxing Liu Wenqiang Zhang Hengshuo Dong Xinyang Pan Xiaoliang Wang Youming | 2019 | Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2019,11,5: | 2 |

| 10 | DNA damage response-related immune activation signature predicts the response to immune checkpoint inhibitors: from gastrointestinal cancer analysis to pan-cancer validation显示文摘Objective: DNA damage response(DDR) deficiency has emerged as a prominent determinant of tumor immunogenicity. This study aimed to construct a DDR-related immune activation(DRIA) signature and evaluate the predictive accuracy of the DRIA signature for response to immune checkpoint inhibitor(ICI) therapy in gastrointestinal(GI) cancer.Methods: A DRIA signature was established based on two previously reported DNA damage immune response assays. Clinical and gene expression data from two published GI cancer cohorts were used to assess and validate the association between the DRIA score and response to ICI therapy. The predictive accuracy of the DRIA score was validated based on one ICI-treated melanoma and three pan-cancer published cohorts.Results: The DRIA signature includes three genes(CXCL10, IDO1, and IFI44L). In the discovery cancer cohort, DRIA-high patients with gastric cancer achieved a higher response rate to ICI therapy than DRIA-low patients(81.8% vs. 8.8%;P < 0.001), and the predictive accuracy of the DRIA score [area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC) = 0.845] was superior to the predictive accuracy of PD-L1 expression, tumor mutational burden, microsatellite instability, and Epstein–Barr virus status. The validation cohort demonstrated that the DRIA score identified responders with microsatellite-stable colorectal and pancreatic adenocarcinoma who received dual PD-1 and CTLA-4 blockade with radiation therapy.
