| 1 | A Probabilistic View of Debris Flow显示文摘Most debris flows occur in valleys of area smaller than 50 km2. While associated with a valley, debris flow is by no means a full-valley event but originates from parts of the valley, i.e., the tributary sources. We propose that debris flow develops by extending from tributaries to the mainstream. The debris flow observed in the mainstream is the confluence of the tributary flows and the process of the confluence can be considered as a combination of the tributary elements. The frequency distribution of tributaries is found subject to the Weibull form (or its generalizations). And the same distribution form applies to the discharge of debris flow. Then the process of debris flow is related to the geometric structure of the valley. Moreover, viewed from a large scale of water system, all valleys are tributaries, which have been found to assume the same distribution. With each valley corresponding to a debris flow, the distribution can be taken as the frequency distribution of debris flow and therefore provides a quantitative description of the fact that debris flow is inclined to occur at valley of small size. Furthermore, different parameters appear in different regions, suggesting the regional differentials of debris flow potential. We can use the failure rate, instead of the size per se, to describe the risk of a valley of a given area. | 2 | Synthesis of hexaaluminate catalysts for methane combustion by reverse microemulsion medium显示文摘The aim of this study is to synthesize the catalysts of Fe-and Mn-substituted hexaaluminate by reverse microemulsion medium for methane catalytic combustion application.Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams in quaternary microemulsion systems of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB),n-butanol,n-octane,and water [or Al(NO3)3 solution] were presented.The effects of the alcohol chain length,ratio of sur-factant to cosurfactant,and salt concentration on the formation and stability of microemulsion systems were studied.The phase behavior of microemulsion systems was confirmed through the varying of the conductivity with the water content.The performance and structure of the catalysts,La(Mnx/Fex)Al12-x-O19-δ synthesized with the optimal parameter in the phase diagrams of microemulsions systems were characterized by BET,TG-DTA,and XRD.The micro fix-bed reactor was used to measure the catalytic activities of catalysts to methane combustion.The results showed that this synthesis method could yield non-agglomerated and highly dispersed precursors that would undergo crystallization at the lower temperature of 950℃.When temperature was raised up to 1050℃,the complete crystalline La-hexaaluminate was shaped.The hexaaluminate substituted with Fe had high-catalytic activity and stability at high temperature,while the Mn-substituted had higher catalytic activity at lower temperature.When the cooperation of Fe and Mn occurred,i.e.,LaFeMnAl10O19-δ exhibited a high surface area and catalytic activity to CH4 combustion,the CH4 light-off temperature was only 475℃ and the complete combustion temperature was 660℃.This was attributed to the synergistic effect between Fe and Mn. | BAI ShouLi WANG LiangShi SHI BingJie YANG PengCheng CUI MeiSheng LONG ZhiQi LI DianQing CHEN AiFan | 2009 | Science China Chemistry2009,52,1: | 6 |
| 3 | Genomic Epidemiology of ST34 Monophasic Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium from Clinical Patients from 2008 to 2017 in Henan,China显示文摘Salmonella enterica serovar 4,[5],12:i:-(S.4,[5],12:i:-)is a monophasic variant of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium that has emerged as a global serovar causing public health concern.To date,the epidemiology and genomic characterization of this pathogen in China have not been well described.We investigated the prevalence,antimicrobial resistance(AMR)phenotypes,and population genomics of sequence type 34(ST34)S.4,[5],12:i:-among cases of human salmonellosis in Henan Province,China.A total of 100 ST34 S.4,[5],12:i:-isolates were studied from 2008 to 2017 and found mostly resistant to ampicillin(AMP),streptomycin(STR),sulfonamides(SUL),and tetracycline(TET)(ASSu T).Bayesian phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that isolates identified in China were mostly related to the European lineage and evolved into two major clades with different resistance genes and plasmid profiles.Notably,clade 1 showed a significantly higher rate of mutations in gyr A and plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance genes.The carrying of the resistance-containing region(encoding R-type ASSu T),including bla(conferring resistance to AMP),str AB(STR),sul2(SUL),and tet(B)(TET)inserted into the flj BA operon,was responsible for most of the monophasic variants in clade 2.Inc HI2 plasmids were the dominant multi-drug resistance mobile genetic elements accounting for the transmission of acquired resistance genes in this serovar,and these were more prevalent in clade 1.Our findings highlighted the increasing prevalence of multi-drug resistant S.4,[5],12:i:-in China,along with the differential characteristics of resistance gene acquisition among various lineages.Based on our data,control measures are required to address the spread of this zoonotic pathogen.Further owing to its potential origin in food-producing animals,a'One Health'approach,should be implemented to support surveillance whilst informing interventional strategies. | Yujiao Mu Ruichao Li Pengcheng Du Pei Zhang Yan Li Shenghui Cui Séamus Fanning Li Bai | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,8: | 2 |

The average particle & grain size of Li FeP O4/C decreases,and the impurities in Li Fe PO4/C composites reduce to a great extent. It makes great sense to the mass industrial production. The optimum synthesis conditions determined in this work are based on the orthogonal experiments. The samples synthesized in a scale of 500 g exhibit high purity,excellent electrochemical performance,high reaction activity,good reversibility,and low polarization level.The discharge capacities are 145,134,117,and 102 m Ah/g at the current densities of 0.1 C,0.2 C,0.5 C and1 C,respectively. | 9 | Metallurgy at the Crossroads: New Analyses of Copper-based Objects at Tianshanbeilu, Eastern Xinjiang, China显示文摘Tianshanbeilu is the largest Bronze Age site in eastern Xinjiang, China. Stretching across the entire second millennium BC, it performed a prominent role in connecting the Hexi corridor, Central China and the steppe. A further insight into the metallurgical tradition and the metal supply network is of vital importance to improve our understanding of its multi-connected nature. This paper offers a new set of chemical and isotopic data on the copper-based objects at Tianshanbeilu, including alloying elements, trace elements(impurities) and lead isotopes. Combining the concentrations of arsenic and antimony reveals that arsenic was introduced to copper partially due to the use of specific minerals tethrahedrite-tennantite. Lead isotopes demonstrate that multiple sources of copper were employed at Tianshanbeilu and a majority of them are characterized by common lead, which appears rather different from those of the Central Plains and the Hexi corridor, but highly consistent with local ores. Surprisingly, one object at Tianshanbeilu contains the well-known highly radiogenic lead. This object undoubtedly marks the westernmost boundary of the distribution of the highly radiogenic lead. | 17 | Precipitation and heterogeneous strengthened CoCrNi-based medium entropy alloy with excellent strength-ductility combination from room to cryogenic temperatures显示文摘The improved understandings of the mechanical properties as well as deformation mechanisms at cryogenic temperatures are the prerequisite for realizing the application of any new engineering materials to cryogenic industries.Here,a(CoCrNi)_(94)Al_(3)Ti_(3) medium entropy alloy(MEA)with nanoscale L12 coherent precipitates and heterogeneous grain structures was prepared by codoping Al and Ti elements with subsequent cold rolling and heat treatment processes.The mechanical properties were evaluated at the temperature range of 293–113 K.The ultimate strength of the MEA increases almost linearly from 1326 to 1695 MPa as the temperature decreases from 293 to 113 K,while the total elongation remains approximately constant of~35%.The underlying deformation and strengthening mechanisms were investigated using various characterization techniques.Due to the effect of co-doped Al/Ti on channel width of the matrix and the increasing critical twinning stress induced by heterogeneous ultrafine grain size,the formation of deformation twins is inhibited at all temperatures.Consequently,only a slight increase of the deformation twins and stacking faults in the deformed specimens with a decreasing temperature,which leads to the relative temperature-independence of the ductility.The dislocation cutting mechanism of L1_(2) coherent precipitates and the heterodeformation induced(HDI)hardening both significantly contribute to the strain hardening so that an excellent combination of strength and ductility is obtained.Additionally,the evolution of lattice friction stress with deformation temperature is determined by quantitative analysis,indicating an approximately linear relationship between the lattice friction and temperature.The present work provides new insights into the strategy of achieving outstanding strength-ductility synergy of the MEA under the wide temperature range by coupling heterogeneous ultrafine-grained structure and coherent precipitation strategy. | XIE Yu ZHAO PengCheng TONG YongGang TAN JianPing SUN BinHan CUI Yan WANG RunZi ZHANG XianCheng TU ShanTung | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,8: | 0 |

Although much progress has been made on the ripenig process, the molecular mechamism of fruit development is not yet clear. In this study, we used ‘Sweet Charlie' strawberry as test materials, based on cloning the strawberries ASR homologous gene, we carried out the bioinformatics and temporal expression analysis of Fa ASR, by manipulating ASR gene expression level in strawberry fruit, we tested the changes of physiological indicators, including sugar, ABA, pigments content, and fruit firmness, as well as phenotypic changes. In addition, we measured the expression changes of some anthocyanin-related gene, such as CHS and UFGT, by which we revealed the regulation mechanisms of ASR gene over strawberry fruit ripening. Strawberry ASR contained a typical domain of ABA/WDS that was related to fruit ripening and stress-resistance, and ASR gene over-expression could promote strawberry fruit coloring, endogenous ABA and sucrose accumulation, fruit softening, and induced the transcription levels of anthocyanin-related genes CHS and UFGT. | 20 | Wheel Profile Optimization of Speed-up Freight Train Based on Multi-population Genetic Algorithm显示文摘The geometric shape of the wheel tread is mathematically expressed,and geometric parameters affecting the shape of the wheel were extracted as design variables.The vehicle dynamics simulation model was established based on the vehicle suspension parameters and track conditions of the actual operation,and the comprehensive dynamic parameters of the vehicle were taken as the design objectives.The matching performance of the wheel equivalent conicity with the vehicle and track parameters was discussed,and the best equivalent conicity was determined as the constraint condition of the optimization problem;a numerical calculation program is written to solve the optimization model based on a multi-population genetic algorithm.The results show that the algorithm has a fast calculation speed and good convergence.Compared with the LM profile,the two optimized profiles effectively reduce the wheelset acceleration and improve the lateral stability of the bogie and vehicle stability during straight running.Due to the optimized profile increases the equivalent conicity under larger lateral displacement of the wheelset,the lateral wheel-rail force,derailment coefficient,wheel load reduction rate,and wear index are reduced when the train passes through the curve line.This paper provides a feasible way to ensure the speed-up operation of a freight train. | Dabin CUI Pengcheng LEI Xing ZHANG Jingkang PENG | 2021 | Mechanical Engineering Science2021,3,1: | 0 |
