| 1 | Complex role of matrix metalloproteinases in angiogenesis显示文摘Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMP) play a significant role in regulating angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation. Interstitial collagenase (MMP-1), 72 kDa gelatinase A/type IV collagenase (MMP-2), and 92 kDa gelatinase B/type IV collagenase (MMP-9) dissolve extracellular matrix (ECM) and may initiate and Promote angiogenesis. TIMP-1, TIMP-2, TIMP-3, and possibly,TIMP-4 inhibit neovascularisation. A new paradigm is emerging that matrilysin (MMP-7), MMP-9, and metalloelastase (MMP-12) may block angiogehesis by converting plasndnogen to angiostatin, which is one of the most potent angiogenesis antagonists. MMPs and TIMPs play a complex role in regulating angiogenesis. | 3 | Atorvastatin Attenuates TNF-alpha Production via Heme Oxygenase-1 Pathway in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 Macrophages显示文摘Objective To assess the effect of atorvastatin on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced TNF-α production in RAW264.7 macrophages. Methods RAW264.7 macrophages were treated in different LPS concentrations or at different time points with or without atorvastatin. TNF-α level in supernatant was measured. Expressions of TNF-α mRNA and protein and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) were detected by ELISA, PCR, and Western blot, respectively. HO activity was assayed. Results LPS significantly increased the TNF-α expression and secretion in a dose- and time-dependent manner. The HO-1 activity and HO-1 expression level were significantly higher after atorvastatin treatment than before atorvastatin treatment and attenuated by SB203580 and PD98059 but not by SP600125, suggesting that the ERK and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) pathways participate in regulating the above-mentioned effects of atorvastatin. Moreover, the HO-1 activity suppressed by SnPP or the HO-1 expression inhibited by siRNA significantly attenuated the effect of atorvastatin on TNF-α expression and production in LPS-stimulated macrophages. | 6 | Influence of simulating deep-sea environmental factors on cathodic performance of seawater battery显示文摘A metal-dissolved oxygen seawater battery(SWB)uses metal and dissolved oxygen as the reactants,and it is ideal for use as a long-time low-power distributed power supply in deep sea,due to its advantages of open structure in service without electrolyte.However,several simulating deep-sea environmental factors,such as flow rate,dissolved oxygen concentration,and temperature of seawater may af fect the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)rate and the stability of electrochemically modified polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fiber brush(MPAN-CFB)cathode,which was studied by steady-state polarization and galvanostatic discharge methods.In addition,the scales formed on MPAN-CFB surface were characterized by SEM and XRD.Results show that the ORR rate increased quickly with the increase of the seawater flow rate up to 3 cm/s,and then gradually stabilized.Moreover,the ORR rate was largely af fected by dissolved oxygen concentration,and the concentration of>3 mg/L was favorable.Compared with surface layer temperature of 15℃,the low temperature of deep sea(4℃)has a negligible ef fect on ORR rate.When the working current is too high,it will lead to the formation of CaCO_3 scales(aragonite)of at the cathodic surface,resulting in the decrease of ORR rate,and consequently the damage to the long-time stability of MPAN-CFB. | LU Yonghong YANG Lulu ZHANG Yue ZHAO Qing SANG Lin DING Fei XU Haibo | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,2: | 2 |

| 8 | Clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in five countries and regions: Japan;South Korea;China's Mainland;Hong Kong, China;Taiwan, China显示文摘Objective:To study the characteristics of the clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in five countries and regions where traditional medicine(TM)is widely used:Japan;South Korea;China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China;Taiwan,China.And to analyze,from multiple angles,the variations in the methods of TM used in each countries and regions.Methods:Fifty commonly used traditional herbs(TOP50)from classical formulae were selected,and descriptive statistics,correlation analyses,and Friedman test were used to compare methods of clinical application and dosages in the countries and regions of interest based on a retrospective review of randomly-selected medical records.Results:There were significant differences in sequencing TOP50 among the five countries and regions(P<.01).The adherence to the classical formulae,from strong to weak was Japan;China's Mainland;Taiwan,China;Hong Kong,China;South Korea.There were also significant differences in TOP50 dosing regimens(P<.01).Overall dosages of TOP50 from high to low were:China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China;Taiwan,China;South Korea;Japan.Finally,there were significant differences in the dosage intervals(P<.01),with dosage intervals from maximum to minimum as follows:China's Mainland;Taiwan,China;Hong Kong,China;South Korea;Japan.Conclusions:The clinical dosages of traditional herbal medicine used in the China's Mainland are relatively large compared with those prescribed in the other four countries and regions,and the range of dosages in China's Mainland is more flexible.On the other hand,clinical dosages of TOP50 are the lowest in Japan,where the dosage range is also the narrowest,supporting the idea that Doctors of Kampo medicine are highly cautious and are likely to adhere strictly to classical formulae,while Hong Kong,China and Taiwan,China are in the middle.The dosage of TOP50 in South Korea is significantly lower than that used in the China's Mainland;Hong Kong,China and Taiwan,China where the adherence to the classical formulae was the lowest,albeit slightly higher than that in Japan.The methods of clinical application of traditional herbal medicine in the five countries and regions were affected by multiple factors,including history,geography,climate,and culture. | Liming Chen Yanling Fu Lin Zhang Sijia Zhao Qing Feng Yihua Cheng Tosha Yanai Daji Xu Mingyu Luo Sang Woo An Woong Seok Lee Seong Hoon Cho Byung Wook Lee | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2015,2,3: | 1 |

| 12 | Effect of moxibustion on autophagy and the inflammatory response of synovial cells in rheumatoid arthritis model rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of moxibustion on synovitis and the autophagy of synoviocytes in rheumatoid arthritis(RA).METHODS:Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal group,model group,moxibustion group,cigarette moxibustion group,and medicine group,with eight rats included in each group.The RA model was established by subcutaneous injection of complete Freund's adjuvant into the left posterior toe.Rats in the model group were not interfered with.In the moxibustion group,rats were treated by moxibustion,where a 1-cm diameter moxa stick was applied at the left Zusanli(ST 36)point.The distance of the moxa stick to the skin was 2 cm and moxibustion was completed for 20 min daily for 15 d total.In the cigarette moxibustion group,the moxa stick was replaced by a common cigarette.In the medicine group,rats were treated with a tripterygium glycoside suspension(8 mg/kg)once a day for 15 d total.In each group,the left hind limb toe volume was measured with a toe volume meter;the synovial cells were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining;the interleukin(IL)-4,IL-6,IL-10,IL-1β,IL-23,IL-17,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αlevels in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay;the erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)were detected by Westergren sedimentation rate testing;the C-reactive protein(CRP)and rheumatoid factor(RF)levels in serum were detected by rate nephelometry;the expression levels of ULK1,autophagy-associated protein(Atg)3,Atg5,and Atg12 messenger RNA(m RNA)in synovium were detected by real time-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-q PCR);and the protein expression levels of phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K),protein kinase B(Akt),mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR),LC3-Ⅱ,beclin-1,phosphorylated-PI3K(p-PI3K),p-Akt,p-mTOR in synovium were detected by Western blotting.RESULTS:Among the RA model rats,joint swelling,an inflammatory reaction,and the proliferation of synovial tissue were obvious and the signal of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway was active,while autophagy was inhibited.Moxibustion at Zusanli(ST36)or intragastric administration of Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides could alleviate the inflammatory reaction of RA rats;relieve the swelling of the toes;downregulate the levels of ESR,CRF,RF;lower the levels of IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α,and IL-17;and increase the IL-4 and IL-10.At the same time,the m RNA expression levels of ULK1,Atg3,Atg5,and Atg12 and those of LC3-Ⅱand beclin-1 were increased,while the PI3K,Akt,mTOR,p-PI3K,p-Akt,p-mTOR were decreased.Cigarette moxibustion did not significantly reduce the swelling of the toe joint in RA rats,and was not as good as that of moxibustion or Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides in the effects of inflammation relief and the influences of the levels of ESR,CRF,RF.While cigarette moxibustion has a weak effect to affect the expression of corresponding molecules in autophages and the expression level of the autophagy biomaker in synovial tissue.Moxibustion and tripterygium glycosides can significantly reduce the joint swelling,relieve synovitis and synovial hyperplasia,and inhibit the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway to increase autophagy in a manner superior to cigarette moxibustion.CONCLUSION:Moxibustion can limit the proliferation of synoviocytes in RA rats by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway,promoting autophagy,effectively reducing synovitis,and alleviating joint swelling. | HAO Feng WANG Qiang LIU Lei WU Libin CAI Ronglin SANG Jiajia HU Jun WANG Jie YU Qing HE Lu SHEN Yingchao MIAO Yiming HU Ling WU Zijian | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,1: | 1 |

In recent years, RNA sequencing has been shown to be able to provide a genetic diagnosis in patients whose conditions were previously unable to be identified by DNA analysis. RNA sequencing can reveal expression outliers, aberrant splicing events, allele-specific expression, and new pathogenic variants, and as such can complement and expand on the traditional genomic methods used to diagnose Mendelian diseases. Therefore, RNA sequencing is expected to become a routine method for genetic diagnosis in the future. | 20 | Safety Risk Assessment of Overturning Construction of Towering Structure Based on Cloud Matter–Element Coupled Model显示文摘Rapid urbanization has led to a surge in the number of towering structures,and overturning is widely used because it can better accommodate the construction of shaped structures such as variable sections.The complexity of the construction process makes the construction risk have certain randomness,so this paper proposes a cloudbased coupled matter-element model to address the ambiguity and randomness in the safety risk assessment of overturning construction of towering structures.In the pretended model,the digital eigenvalues of the cloud model are used to replace the eigenvalues in the matter–element basic element,and calculate the cloud correlation of the risk assessment metrics through the correlation algorithm of the cloud model to build the computational model.Meanwhile,the improved hierarchical analysis method based on the cloud model is used to determine the weight of the index.The comprehensive evaluation scores of the evaluation event are then obtained through the weighted average method,and the safety risk level is determined accordingly.Through empirical analysis,(1)the improved hierarchical analysis method based on the cloud model can incorporate the data of multiple decisionmakers into the calculation formula to determine theweights,which makes the assessment resultsmore credible;(2)the evaluation results of the cloud-basedmatter-element coupledmodelmethod are basically consistent with those of the other two commonly used methods,and the confidence factor is less than 0.05,indicating that the cloudbased physical element coupled model method is reasonable and practical for towering structure overturning;(3)the cloud-based coupled element model method,which confirms the reliability of risk level by performing Spearman correlation on comprehensive assessment scores,can provide more comprehensive information of instances compared with other methods,and more comprehensively reflects the fuzzy uncertainty relationship between assessment indexes,which makes the assessment results more realistic,scientific and reliable. | Yingxue Sang Fengxia Han Qing Liu Liang Qiao Shouxi Wang | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,8: | 0 |
