1Meso-scale circulation at the intermediate-depth east of Mindanao observed by Argo profiling floats显示文摘The meso-scale circulation at the intermediate depth east of Mindanao is studied using Argo profiling floats observations. The trajectories and the parking-depth velocities of Argo floats show that the intermediate-depth circulation east of Mindanao contains significant meso-scale features that are highly variable both in space and in time. Both cyclonic and anticyclonic eddies at the intermediate depth (1000–2000 m) are indicated by the trajectories east of Mindanao. The mean tangential velocities of these eddies are about 10 cm/s at 2000 m and over 20 cm/s at 1000 m, which indicates that the geostrophic calculation may contain large errors due to the vigorous eddy activity at the reference levels. 2Prediction of the trajectory of the manned spacecraft SHENZHOU-7 deploying a parachute based on a fine wind field显示文摘Given that horizontal wind plays an important role in predicting the trajectory of the manned spacecraft SHENZHOU-7 when employing a parachute, the China Meteorological Administration conducted an experiment involving high-resolution wind ob servation, analysis and prediction between September 21 and 28, 2008. In this work, an algorithm for tracking a spacecraft de ploying a parachute is studied. High-resolution wind profiles obtained from a numerical weather model, upper-atmosphere soundings and mobile incoherent Doppler wind lidar are compared. Forward and backward trajectory predictions based on various wind profiles, as well as their differences, are presented. In addition, the trajectory of SHENZHOU-7 is predicted using different wind profiles, and the predicted parachute-opening and landing points are compared with the observed points. Results indicate that a high-resolution numerical weather model and fine observation data can offer more-detailed wind information for the prediction of spacecraft trajectories and can thus help in the editing and sending of flight commands, consequently increas ing the accuracy and reliability of landing on an assigned spot and reducing the search area and rescue time.GUO ZhiMei MIAO QiLong WANG ShuDong LI Huang 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,9:5
3Surface-modified Zn_(0.5)Ti_(0.5)NbO_(4) particles filled polytetrafluoroethylene composite with extremely low dielectric loss and stable temperature dependence显示文摘Polymer-ceramic composites are widely applied in microwave substrate materials due to the excellent dielectric properties and simple preparation process recently.Polytetrafluoroethylene-based(PTFE)composites filled with Zn_(0.5)Ti_(0.5)NbO_(4)(ZTN)ceramic particles were fabricated by hot-pressing.The particles were modified by C_(14)H_(19)F_(13)O_(3)Si to enhance the interface compatibility between PTFE and ZTN powders,which was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle.The surface characteristic of particles transformed into hydrophobicity and tight microstructure as well as better dielectric properties were obtained after the surface modification.The microstructure,dielectric,thermal,mechanical properties,and water absorption of the composites concerning ZTN content were investigated.Modified ZTN/PTFE composites with 50 vol% ZTN particles exhibit excellent dielectric properties with a high dielectric constant of 8.3,an extremely low dielectric loss of 0.00055 at 7 GHz,and a stable temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant of-12.2 ppm/℃.All the properties show modified ZTN particles filled PTFE composite is the potential material for microwave substrate application.Hao WANG Fuming ZHOU Jianming GUO Yuanyuan ZHANG Hui YANG Qilong ZHANG 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,6:3
4A Coverage-Aware Unequal Clustering Protocol with Load Separation for Ambient Assisted Living Based on Wireless Sensor Networks显示文摘Ambient Assisted Living(AAL) is becoming an important research field. Many technologies have emerged related with pervasive computing vision, which can give support for AAL. One of the most reliable approaches is based on wireless sensor networks(WSNs). In this paper, we propose a coverage-aware unequal clustering protocol with load separation(CUCPLS) for data gathering of AAL applications based on WSNs. Firstly, the coverage overlap factor for nodes is introduced that accounts for the degree of target nodes covered. In addition, to balance the intra-cluster and inter-cluster energy consumptions, different competition radiuses of CHs are computed theoretically in different rings, and smaller clusters are formed near the sink. Moreover, two CHs are selected in each cluster for load separation to alleviate the substantial energy consumption difference between a single CH and its member nodes. Furthermore, a backoff waiting time is adopted during the selection of the two CHs to reduce the number of control messages employed. 6A robust ethane-trapping metal-organic framework for efficient purification of ethylene显示文摘Owing to the similar physicochemical properties between ethane(C_(2)H_(6))and ethylene(C_(2)H_(4)),obtaining polymerization-grade C_(2)H_(4)(≥99.95%pure)is still a tricky problem in the petrochemical industry.Here,we report a robust scandium-based metalorganic framework(Sc BPDC),which is connected by oxygen-rich phenyl ligand with exceptionally high thermal stability(up to873 K)and capacity of C_(2)H_(6)(4.94 mmol/g at 100 k Pa and 283 K),exhibiting superior separation performance of C_(2)H_(6)/C_(2)H_(4) mixture(the IAST selectivity is up to 1.7 at 283 K).Importantly,Sc BPDC can produce 8.96 L/kg C_(2)H_(4) with≥99.99%purity while the C_(2)H_(4)/C_(2)H_(6)(50:50,v/v)as the mixture injection and the low isosteric heat of Sc BPDC(16.4 k J/mol for C_(2)H_(6))validates the facility of adsorbent regeneration.Furthermore,theoretical calculations demonstrate the C_(2)H_(6) molecules are trapped in the nonpolar pore surface via C–H···πand C–H···O interactions between multiple hydrogen atoms of C_(2)H_(6) and the host framework.Sisi Jiang Liangying Li Lidong Guo Changhua Song Qiwei Yang Zhiguo Zhang Yiwen Yang Qilong Ren Zongbi Bao 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,4:1
7Porous Hydrogen-Bonded Frameworks Assembled from Metal-Nucleobase Entities for Xe/Kr Separation显示文摘It is challenging to obtain high-purity xenon(Xe)and krypton(Kr)from the by-products of the air separation process due to their similar atom size and physical properties.Adsorption using porous materials such as metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)has been considered a promising technology to separate Xe/Kr.Herein,we report two novel isostructural ionic supramolecular MOFs(SMOFs;SMOF-PFSIX-1 and SMOF-AsFSIX-1),in which inorganic anions(PF_(6)^(−)or AsF_(6)^(−))and cationic metal–organic entities have self-assembled through hydrogen bonds to give three-dimensional pore channels.The two kinds of SMOFs can efficiently separate Xe/Kr with ideal adsorbed solution theory(IAST)selectivity values of 6.9 and 6.7 under 298 K and 1.0 bar,respectively.The breakthrough experiments further confirm their industrial application potential.The grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed that there are multiple adsorptive sites to capture the Xe atom,and the affinity between Xe and frameworks can be attributed to the inorganic anions and amino groups on the ligands.To the best of our knowledge,this was the first report of using SMOFs for Xe/Kr separation,and we proposed a new strategy for Xe/Kr separation based on the synergistic effect of amino and inorganic anions.Ying Liu Juanjuan Dai Lidong Guo Zhiguo Zhang Yiwen Yang Qiwei Yang Qilong Ren Zongbi Bao 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:1

10Hypersonic Shock Wave/Boundary Layer Interactions by a Third-Order Optimized Symmetric WENO Scheme显示文摘A novel third-order optimized symmetric weighted essentially non-oscillatory(WENO-OS3)scheme is used to simulate the hypersonic shock wave/boundary layer interactions.Firstly,the scheme is presented with the achievement of low dissipation in smooth region and robust shock-capturing capabilities in discontinuities.The Maxwell slip boundary conditions are employed to consider the rarefied effect near the surface.Secondly,several validating tests are given to show the good resolution of the WENO-OS3 scheme and the feasibility of the Maxwell slip boundary conditions.Finally,hypersonic flows around the hollow cylinder truncated flare(HCTF)and the25°/55°sharp double cone are studied.Discussions are made on the characteristics of the hypersonic shock wave/boundary layer interactions with and without the consideration of the slip effect.The results indicate that the scheme has a good capability in predicting heat transfer with a high resolution for describing fluid structures.With the slip boundary conditions,the separation region at the corner is smaller and the prediction is more accurate than that with no-slip boundary conditions.Li Chen Guo Qilong Li Qin Zhang Hanxin 2017Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2017,34,5:1

16Heat and mass transfer model optimization and annual energy efficiency analysis for energy recovery indirect evaporative cooling显示文摘Indirect evaporative cooling(IEC)is a kind of high efficiency,energy-saving and environmental protection cooling technology,which has been widely used in data centers and other fields in recent years.In this paper,the optimized two-dimensional non-condensation state model of indirect evaporative cooling was proposed.Meanwhile the computer program was updated to solve the developed mathematical model under variable fresh air conditions.The optimized model was verified by the experimental data,and the maximum deviation was only 4.6%.Based on the modified model and the annual hourly meteorological parameters in Tianjin,China,it was analyzed the optimal heat transfer area of IEC used as fresh air pre-cooling unit under various air volumes to provide references for system design and equipment selection.Finally,taking an IEC-primary return air conditioning system of a gymnasium as an example,the hourly energy-saving effect of whole year was simulated by the developed IEC model.The simulation results showed that IEC could control the fresh air temperature below 27℃ and the moisture content below 18 g/kg throughout the year,and undertook 102.6% of the total fresh air cooling load.The findings are useful in future system optimization and design of IEC equipment.Qilong Liu Chunmei Guo Zhenjing Wu Yuwen You Yan Li 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:0
17Analyses of the Dispersion Overshoot and Inverse Dissipation of the High-Order Finite Difference Scheme显示文摘Analyses were performed on the dispersion overshoot and inverse dissipation of the high-order finite difference scheme using Fourier and precision analysis.Schemes under discussion included the pointwise-and staggered-grid type,and were presented in weighted form using candidate schemes with third-order accuracy and three-point stencil.All of these were commonly used in the construction of difference schemes.Criteria for the dispersion overshoot were presented and their critical states were discussed.Two kinds of instabilities were studied due to inverse dissipation,especially those that occur at lower wave numbers.Criteria for the occurrence were presented and the relationship of the two instabilities was discussed.Comparisons were made between the analytical results and the dispersion/dissipation relations by Fourier transformation of typical schemes.As an example,an application of the criteria was given for the remedy of inverse dissipation in Weirs&Mart´ın’s third-order scheme.Qin Li Qilong Guo Hanxin Zhang 2013Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics2013,5,6:0
18Simple chemical synthesis and isotropic negative thermal expansion in MHfF_(6)(M=Ca,Mn,Fe,and Co)显示文摘The rapid progress of modern technologies has accelerated the prominence of thermal expansion mismatch between materials,and tunable thermal expansion materials will be a powerful safeguard against this challenge.Here,isotropic MHfF_(6)(M=Ca,Mn,Fe,and Co)compounds with tunable thermal expansion have been produced via a low-cost synthetic method and investigated.By utilizing temperature dependent X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Raman spectroscopy,combined with first principles calculations,it was revealed that the transverse thermal vibrations of the F atoms are dominated by low-frequency phonons with negative Grüneisen parameters and are therefore the origin of the negative thermal expansion(NTE).Very interestingly,with the increase of the M atomic number,the metal…F atomic linkages become stiffer,reducing the number of vibrational modes with negative Grüneisen parameters,so that the strong NTE can be gradually adjusted to moderate NTE and to near zero thermal expansion.The present study achieves the tunable thermal expansion in a new compound family and shed light on the internal mechanism from the perspective of lattice vibrational dynamics.Yongqiang Qiao Sen Zhang Peixian Zhang Juan Guo Andrea Sanson Xi Zhen Kaiyue Zhao Qilong Gao Jun Chen 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
