| 2 | Dating of the Karakorum Strike-slip Fault显示文摘This paper mainly discusses the timing of the Karakorum strike-slip fault, and gives a brief introduction of its structures, offset, and deformational style. This fault strikes NNW-SSE. Asymmetrical folds, stretching lineation, S-C fabrics, feldspar and quartz (-porphyroclasts, domino structure, shear cleavages and faults in the fault zone are products of tectonic movements. They all indicate a dextral slip sense of faulting. Mylonitic bands are widely developed along this fault. Phengite appears, indicating rather high deformational pressure. Geochronological data indicate that the Karakorum strike-slip faulting occurred from 6.88(0.36 to 8.75(0.25 Ma. | 6 | Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of 45 vol.%SiC_p/7075Al Composite显示文摘Microstructure and mechanical behavior of high volume content Si Cp/7xxx Al composites have not been explored yet. Therefore, in the present work, 45 vol.% SiC p/7075 Al composite has been prepared by pressure infiltration method. High density dislocations were found around Si C/Al interface in SiC p/7075 Al composite after water-quenching and aging treatment. Fine dispersed nano-η′ phases were observed after the aging treatment. Adverse to other Si Cp/Al composites prepared by the pressure infiltration method,an interface layer was observed between SiC particles and Al matrix. Furthermore, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) observation indicated that this interface layer was coherent/semicoherent with that of the SiC particles. 45 vol.% SiC p/7075 Al composite demonstrated high tensile strength(630 MPa) and micro-ductility. | 11 | Co-culture of Schwann cells and endothelial cells for synergistically regulating dorsal root ganglion behavior on chitosan-based anisotropic topology for peripheral nerve regeneration显示文摘Background:Anisotropic topologies are known to regulate cell-oriented growth and induce cell differentiation,which is conducive to accelerating nerve regeneration,while co-culture of endothelial cells(ECs)and Schwann cells(SCs)can significantly promote the axon growth of dorsal root ganglion(DRG).However,the synergistic regulation of EC and SC co-culture of DRG behavior on anisotropic topologies is still rarely reported.The study aims to investigate the effect of anisotropic topology co-cultured with Schwann cells and endothelial cells on dorsal root ganglion behavior for promoting peripheral nerve regeneration.Methods:Chitosan/artemisia sphaerocephala(CS/AS)scaffolds with anisotropic topology were first prepared using micro-molding technology,and then the surface was modified with dopamine to facilitate cell adhesion and growth.The physical and chemical properties of the scaffolds were characterized through morphology,wettability,surface roughness and component variation.SCs and ECs were co-cultured with DRG cells on anisotropic topology scaffolds to evaluate the axon growth behavior.Results:Dopamine-modified topological CS/AS scaffolds had good hydrophilicity and provided an appropriate environment for cell growth.Cellular immunofluorescence showed that in contrast to DRG growth alone,co-culture of SCs and ECs could not only promote the growth of DRG axons,but also offered a stronger guidance for orientation growth of neurons,which could effectively prevent axons from tangling and knotting,and thus may significantly inhibit neurofibroma formation.Moreover,the co-culture of SCs and ECs could promote the release of nerve growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor,and up-regulate genes relevant to cell proliferation,myelination and skeletal development via the PI3K-Akt,MAPK and cytokine and receptor chemokine pathways.Conclusions:The co-culture of SCs and ECs significantly improved the growth behavior of DRG on anisotropic topological scaffolds,which may provide an important basis for the development of nerve grafts in peripheral nerve regeneration. | Tiantian Zheng Linliang Wu Shaolan Sun Jiawei Xu Qi Han Yifan Liu Ronghua Wu Guicai Li | 2022 | Burns & Trauma2022,10,1: | 2 |

| 14 | Interleukin-10 inhibits the expression of nuclear factor kappa B in rats with cerebral ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND: Plenty of studies have demonstrated that inflammatory reaction is involved in ischemic cerebral damage, and the expression of inflammatory cytokines can be observed at the initial sites of cerebral damage at early period, including interleukin-6, interleukin-8, etc., which are all the target gene products of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB). The process of ischemic damage can be affected by adjusting and controlling NF-κB activity via multi-links. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the inhibitory effect of interleukin-10 on the expression of NF-κB in the ischemic sites of rats with focal cerebral ischemia in rats and its molecular mechanisms. DESIGN: A randomized and controlled animal trial. SETTING: Department of Neurology, the Affiliated Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University. MATERIALS: Thirty-two adult male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing (250±30) g were used. NF-κB p65 (RelA) rabbit anti-rat monoclonal primary antibody was the product of Neomarkers Company; Immunohistochemical kit of the SP two-step method was purchased from Beijing Zhongshan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Affiliated Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University from August 2005 to April 2006. The rats were randomly assigned into sham-operated group, middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) group, vehicle-treated group and interleukin-10 treated group, 8 rats in each group. Focal cerebral ischemia was induced by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery as previously described. Rats in the MCAO group were anesthetized intraperitoneally, thyroid was bluntly dissected. Right common, external and internal carotid arteries were isolated, the trunk of external carotid artery was ligated and freed, an artery clamp was placed at the internal carotid artery, then a 'V' shape incision was made at the free section of external carotid artery, filament was inserted for a depth of (18.5±0.5) mm. The rats in the sham-operated group were given the same treatments with the exception of filament insertion. After the successful model establishment for 1 hour, the rats in the interleukin-10 treated group were injected with human recombinant interleukin-10 (1 μg) via lateral ventricle, whereas those in the vehicle-treated group were injected with 5 mol/L NaP (5 μL). The rectal temperature of rats were kept at about 37 ℃ with heating lamps throughout the operation. Twenty-four hours after MCAO, the rats were examined for neurological deficits. Only those animals that scored at 1-3 points were utilized. The rats were decapitated at 24 hours postoperatively. The expression of NF-κB p65 in peri-infarct core was detected immunohistochemically. The percentage of NF-κB p65 subunit positive cells in 1 000 cells was calculated. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Expression of NF-κB p65 in peri-infarct core; Percentage of NF-κB p65 subunit positive cells. RESULTS: All the 32 rats were involved in the analysis of results. NF-κB p65 expressed in cytoplasm and some nuclei. It was expressed all in cytoplasm in the sham-operated group, and partly expressed in the nucleus after cerebral ischemia. Small amounts of NF-κB p65 positive neurocytes were observed in the sham-operated group[(3.7±0.6)%], those were obviously increased in the MCAO group [(15.4±3.7)%, P < 0.01]. NF-κB p65 positive neurocytes were significantly reduced in the interleukin-10 treated group as compared with those in the vehicle-treated groups [(12.1±2.2)%, (15.5±3.6)%, P < 0.05]. | 17 | Radiometric Cross-Calibration for Multiple Sensors with the Moon as an Intermediate Reference显示文摘The instrument cross-calibration is an effective way to assess the quality of satellite data. In this study, a new method is proposed to cross-calibrate the sensors among satellite instruments by using a RObotic Lunar Observatory(ROLO) model and Apollo sample reflectance in reflective solar bands(RSBs). The ROLO model acts as a transfer radiometer to bridge between the instruments. The reflective spectrum of the Apollo sample is used to compensate for the difference in the instrument's relative spectral responses(RSRs). In addition, the double ratio between the observed lunar irradiance and the simulated lunar irradiance is used to reduce the difference in instrument lunar viewing and illumining geometry. This approach is applied to the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS), the Sea-Viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor(Sea Wi FS), and the Advanced Land Imager(ALI) on board three satellites, respectively. The mean difference between MODIS and Sea Wi FS is less than 3.14%, and the difference between MODIS and ALI is less than 4.75%. These results indicate that the proposed cross-calibration method not only compensates for the RSR mismatches but also reduces the differences in lunar observation geometry.
