3Porous Carbon Architecture Assembled by Cross-Linked Carbon Leaves with Implanted Atomic Cobalt for High-Performance Li-S Batteries显示文摘The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is severely hampered by the poor conductivity,polysulfide shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein,a hierarchi-cally porous three-dimension(3D)carbon architecture assembled by cross-linked carbon leaves with implanted atomic Co-N4 has been deli-cately developed as an advanced sulfur host through a SiO_(2)-mediated zeolitic imidazolate framework-L(ZIF-L)strategy.The unique 3D architectures not only provide a highly conductive network for fast electron transfer and buffer the volume change upon lithiation-delithi-ation process but also endow rich interface with full exposure of Co-N4 active sites to boost the lithium polysulfides adsorption and conversion.Owing to the accelerated kinetics and suppressed shuttle effect,the as-prepared sulfur cathode exhibits a superior electrochemical perfor-mance with a high reversible specific capacity of 695 mAh g^(−1) at 5 C and a low capacity fading rate of 0.053%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1 C.This work may provide a promising solution for the design of an advanced sulfur-based cathode toward high-performance Li-S batteries.Ruirui Wang Renbing Wu Chaofan Ding Ziliang Chen Hongbin Xu Yongfeng Liu Jichao Zhang Yuan Ha Ben Fei Hongge Pan 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,10:3

5Increased Expression of Colonic Mucosal Melatonin in Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome Correlated with Gut Dysbiosis显示文摘Dysregulation of the gut microbiota/gut hormone axis contributes to the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Melatonin plays a beneficial role in gut motility and immunity.However,altered expression of local mucosal melatonin in IBS and its relationship with the gut microbiota remain unclear.Therefore,we aimed to detect the colonic melatonin levels and microbiota profiles in patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS(IBS-D)and explore their relationship in germ-free(GF)rats and BON-1 cells.Thirty-two IBS-D patients and twenty-eight healthy controls(HCs)were recruited.Fecal specimens from IBS-D patients and HCs were separately transplanted into GF rats by gavage.The levels of colon mucosal melatonin were assessed by immunohistochemical methods,and fecal microbiota communities were analyzed using 16S rDNA sequencing.The effect of butyrate on melatonin synthesis in BON-1 cells was evaluated by ELISA.Melatonin levels were significantly increased and negatively correlated with visceral hypersensitivity in IBS-D patients.GF rats inoculated with fecal microbiota from IBS-D patients had high colonic melatonin levels.Butyrate-producing Clostridium cluster XIVa species,such as Roseburia species and Lachnospira species,were positively related to colonic mucosal melatonin expression.Butyrate significantly increased melatonin secretion in BON-1 cells.Increased melatonin expression may be an adaptive protective mechanism in the development of IBS-D.Moreover,some Clostridium cluster XIVa species could increase melatonin expression via butyrate production.Modulation of the gut hormone/gut microbiota axis offers a promising target of interest for IBS in the future.Ben Wang Shiwei Zhu Zuojing Liu Hui Wei Lu Zhang Meibo He Fei Pei Jindong Zhang Qinghua Sun Liping Duan 2020Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6:2

7Enhancement of surface wettability via micro-and nanostructures by single point diamond turning显示文摘Studies on surface wettability have received tremendous interest due to their potential applications in research and industrial processes. One of the strategies to tune surface wettability is modifying surface topography at micro-and nanoscales. In this research, periodic micro-and nanostructures were patterned on several polymer surfaces by ultra-precision single point diamond turning to investigate the relationships between surface topographies at the micro-and nanoscales and their surface wettability. This research revealed that single-point diamond turning could be used to enhance the wettability of a variety of polymers, including polyvinyl chloride(PVC), polyethylene 1000(PE1000), polypropylene copolymer(PP) and polytetrafluoroethylene(PFTE), which cannot be processed by conventional semiconductor-based manufacturing processes. Materials exhibiting common wettability properties(θ≈ 90°) changed to exhibit 'superhydrophobic' behavior(θ > 150°). 9Berberine alleviates visceral hypersensitivity in rats by altering gut microbiome and suppressing spinal microglial activation显示文摘Accumulating evidence shows that agents targeting gut dysbiosis are effective for improving symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).However,the potential mechanisms remain unclear.In this study we investigated the effects of berberine on the microbiota-gut-brain axis in two rat models of visceral hypersensitivity,i.e.,specific pathogen-free SD rats subjected to chronic water avoidance stress(WAS)and treated with berberine(200 mg·kg^(−1)·d^(−1),ig,for 10 days)as well as germ-free(GF)rats subjected to fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)from a patient with IBS(designated IBS-FMT)and treated with berberine(200 mg·kg^(−1)·d^(−1),ig,for 2 weeks).Before the rats were sacrificed,visceral sensation and depressive behaviors were evaluated.Then colonic tryptase was measured and microglial activation in the dorsal lumbar spinal cord was assessed.The fecal microbiota was profiled using 16S rRNA sequencing,and short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)were measured.We showed that berberine treatment significantly alleviated chronic WAS-induced visceral hypersensitivity and activation of colonic mast cells and microglia in the dorsal lumbar spinal cord.Transfer of fecal samples from berberine-treated stressed donors to GF rats protected against acute WAS.FMT from a patient with IBS induced visceral hypersensitivity and pro-inflammatory phenotype in microglia,while berberine treatment reversed the microglial activation and altered microbial composition and function and SCFA profiles in stools of IBS-FMT rats.We demonstrated that berberine did not directly influence LPS-induced microglial activation in vitro.In both models,several SCFA-producing genera were enriched by berberine treatment,and positively correlated to the morphological parameters of microglia.In conclusion,activation of microglia in the dorsal lumbar spinal cord was involved in the pathogenesis of IBS caused by dysregulation of the microbiota–gut–brain axis,and the berberine-altered gut microbiome mediated the modulatory effects of the agent on microglial activation and visceral hypersensitivity,providing a potential option for the treatment of IBS.Jin-dong Zhang Jiao Liu Shi-wei Zhu Yuan Fang Ben Wang Qiong Jia Hui-feng Hao John YKao Qi-hua He Li-jin Song Fei Liu Bao-li Zhu Chung Owyang Li-ping Duan 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,11:2

12Zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopic characteristics of the Dehe biotite monzonitic gneiss pluton in the North Qinling orogen and their geological significance显示文摘The Dehe granitic pluton intruded the Xiahe Group which is in the core complex of the North Qinling Orogenic Belt(NQOB).It shows gneissic bedding and possesses typical S-type granite minerals such as muscovite and garnet.LA-ICP-MS U-Pb isotopic dating of the Dehe granite yielded a weighted average age of 925±23 Ma which represents the emplacement age of the pluton.Most of the εHf(t) values are negative,and the two-stage model ages are consistent with the age of the Qinling Group.The isotope data show that the Dehe granite was formed in the following geological setting:in the syn-collision setting of the NQOB in the Neoproterozoic,crustal thickening induced partial melting of materials derived from the Qinling complex,and then the maga upwelled and intruded into the Xiahe Group.The formation of the Dehe S-type granite implied the occurrence of a convergent event in the QOB during the Neoproterozoic.Wang, Fei Zhu, Laimin Li, Jiming Lee, Ben Gong, Hujun Yang, Tao Wang, Wei Xu, Ao 2011Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2011,30,2:1
13Traversing knowledge networks:an algorithmic historiography of extant literature on the Internet of Things(IoT)显示文摘Research on the Internet of Things(IoT)has been booming for the past 6 years due to technological advances and potential for application.Nonetheless,the rapid growth of IoT articles and the heterogeneous nature of IoT pose challenges to conducting a systematic review of IoT literature.This study seeks to address the abovementioned challenges by reviewing 1065 IoT articles retrieved from the International Statistical Institute Web of Science via a blend of quantitative citation analysis and qualitative content analysis.For the former,we generated a historiography of IoT research,a citation network,in which we tried to identify main paths of codification and diffusion,as well as path-dependent transitions.For the latter,we explicated the progression of knowledge through 30 central IoT articles in chronological order regarding infrastructures,enabling technologies,potential technologies,and research challenges.Findings from this study contribute to both IoT research and management.Fei Liu Chee-Wee Tan Eric T.K.Lim Ben Choi 2017Journal of Management Analytics2017,4,1:1
