| 2 | Evaluating effective swath width and droplet distribution of aerial spraying systems on M-18B and Thrush 510G airplanes显示文摘Aerial spraying plays an important role in promoting agricultural production and protecting the biological environment due to its flexibility,high effectiveness,and large operational area per unit of time.In order to evaluate the performance parameters of the spraying systems on two fixed wing airplanes M-18B and Thrush 510G,the effective swath width and uniformity of droplet deposition under headwind flight were tested while the planes operated at the altitudes of 5 m and 4 m.The results showed that although wind velocities varied from 0.9 m/s to 4.6 m/s,and the directions of the atomizer switched upward and downward in eight flights,the effective swath widths were kept approximately at 27 m and 15 m for the M-18B and Thrush 510G,respectively,and the latter was more stable.In addition,through analyzing the coefficients of variation(CVs)of droplet distribution,it was found that the CVs of the M-18B were 39.57%,33.54%,47.95%,and 59.04% at wind velocities of 0.9,1.1,1.4 and 4.6 m/s,respectively,gradually enhancing with the increasing of wind speed;the CVs of Thrush 510G were 79.12%,46.19%,14.90%,and 48.69% at wind velocities of 1.3,2.3,3.0 and 3.4 m/s,respectively,which displayed the irregularity maybe due to change of instantaneous wind direction.Moreover,in terms of the CVs and features of droplet distribution uniformity for both airplanes in the spray swath,choosing smaller CV(20%-45%)as the standard of estimation,it was found that the Thrush 510G had a better uniform droplet distribution than the M-18B.The results provide a research foundation for promoting the development of aerial spraying in China. | Zhang Dongyan Chen Liping Zhang Ruirui Xu Gang Lan Yubin Wesley Clint Hoffmann Wang Xiu Xu Min | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2: | 18 |
| 3 | Dietary supplementation with Clostridium butyricum improves growth performance of broilers by regulating intestinal microbiota and mucosal epithelial cells显示文摘Clostridium butyricum has been widely considered an antibiotic substitute in recent years.It can promote growth performance,improve the immune response and enhance the intestinal barrier function of the host.In the present study,1-d-old Arbor Acres(AA)broilers were fed C.butyricum(1×109 cfu/kg)for 28 d.The transcriptomic characteristics of epithelial cells of the cecal mucosa were determined by RNA-sequence,and the cecal microbiota composition was explored by 16 S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing.The changes in the intestinal mucosa of broilers were then analyzed by tissue staining.Gene Ontology(GO)annotations identified substance transport and processes and pathways that might participate in intestinal development and cell viability.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis revealed that the differentially expressed genes are involved in numerous pathways related to amino acid and vitamin metabolism and antioxidant and defensive functions,among others.The relative expression of some genes associated with intestinal barrier function(claudins 2,15,19,and 23,tight junction proteins 1,2,and 3 and mucin 1)was significantly increased in the treatment group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Moreover,the proportion of Firmicutes was higher in the C.butyricum-treated group,whereas the proportion of Proteobacteria was higher in the control group.At the genus level,the relative abundances of Butyricicoccus and Lactobacillus,among other bacteria,were increased after C.butyricum supplementation.The tissue staining analysis showed that the cecal mucosa of broilers was significantly ameliorated after the addition of C.butyricum(P<0.05 or P<0.01).These results showed that dietary supplementation with C.butyricum can enhance the antioxidant capacity,mucosal barrier function,and stabilize the cecal microbiota,resulting in improving the growth performance. | Laipeng Xu Xiangli Sun Xianhua Wan Keke Li Fuchun Jian Wenting Li Ruirui Jiang Ruili Han Hong Li Xiangtao Kang Yanbin Wang | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 12 |

| 5 | A two-step weighted least-squares method for joint estimation of source and sensor locations: A general framework显示文摘It is well known that the Two-step Weighted Least-Squares(TWLS) is a widely used method for source localization and sensor position refinement. For this reason, we propose a unified framework of the TWLS method for joint estimation of multiple disjoint sources and sensor locations in this paper. Unlike some existing works, the presented method is based on more general measurement model, and therefore it can be applied to many different localization scenarios.Besides, it does not have the initialization and local convergence problem. The closed-form expression for the covariance matrix of the proposed TWLS estimator is also derived by exploiting the first-order perturbation analysis. Moreover, the estimation accuracy of the TWLS method is shown analytically to achieve the Cramér-Rao Bound(CRB) before the threshold effect takes place. The theoretical analysis is also performed in a common mathematical framework, rather than aiming at some specific signal metrics. | 6 | Lingguizhugan Decoction, a Chinese herbal formula, improves insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: a translational approach显示文摘Lingguizhugan Decoction(LGZG)has been investigated in basic studies,with satisfactory effects on insulin resistance in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).This translational approach aimed to explore the effect and underlying mechanism of LGZG in clinical setting.A randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled trial was performed.A total of 243 eligible participants with NAFLD were equally allocated to receive LGZG(two groups:standard dose and low dose)or placebo for 12 weeks on the basis of lifestyle modifications.The primary efficacy variable was homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR).Analyses were performed in two populations in accordance with body mass index(BMI;overweight/obese,BMI 24 kg/m^(2);lean,BMI<24 kg/m^(2)).For overweight/obese participants,low-dose LGZG significantly decreased their HOMA-IR level compared with placebo(0.19(1.47)versus 0.08(1.99),P=0.038).For lean subjects,neither dose of LGZG showed a superior effect compared with placebo.Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing and real-time qPCR found that the DNA N6-methyladenine modification levels of protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 3A(PPP1R3A)and autophagy related 3(ATG3)significantly increased after LGZG intervention in overweight/obese population.Low-dose LGZG effectively improved insulin resistance in overweight/obese subjects with NAFLD.The underlying mechanism may be related to the regulation of DNA N6-methyladenine modification of PPP1R3A and ATG3.Lean subjects may not be a targeted population for LGZG. | Liang Dai Jingjuan Xu Baocheng Liu Yanqi Dang Ruirui Wang Lijie Zhuang Dong Li Lulu Jiao Jianying Wang Lei Zhang Linda LDZhong Wenjun Zhou Guang Ji | 2022 | Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,5: | 7 |
| 7 | The involvement of wheat U-box E3 ubiquitin ligase TaPUB1 in salt stress tolerance显示文摘U-box E3 ubiquitin ligases play important roles in the ubiquitin/26 S proteasome machinery and in abiotic stress responses. Ta PUB1-overexpressing wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) were generated to evaluate its function in salt tolerance. These plants had more salt stress tolerance during seedling and flowering stages, whereas the Ta PUB1-RNA interference(RNAi)-mediated knock-down transgenic wheat showed more salt stress sensitivity than the wild type(WT). Ta PUB1 overexpression upregulated the expression of genes related to ion channels and increased the net root Na+efflux, but decreased the net K+efflux and H+influx, thereby maintaining a low cytosolic Na+/K+ratio, compared with the WT. However,RNAi-mediated knock-down plants showed the opposite response to salt stress. Ta PUB1 could induce the expression of some genes that improved the antioxidant capacity of plants under salt stress. Ta PUB1 also interacted with Ta MP(Triticum aestivum α-mannosidase protein), a regulator playing an important role in salt response in yeast and in plants. Thus, low cytosolic Na+/K+ratios and better antioxidant enzyme activities could be maintained in wheat with overexpression of Ta PUB1 under salt stress. | 9 | Temporal–spatial distribution and diastereoisomer pattern of hexabromocyclododecane in the vicinity of a chemical plant显示文摘Hexabromocyclododecane(HBCD) is an effective brominated flame-retardant additive, which is mainly produced in the coastal area of China. This study collected soil samples from a HBCD production plant and its surrounding area in Weifang, Shandong Province, China, and analyzed the temporal–spatial distribution of HBCD and its diastereoisomers in soil. The analysis results showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil near the plant was much higher than normal values, with an annual average concentration reaching 5405 ng/g. Soils 1,2 and 4 km away from the plant were also analyzed, showing that the concentration of HBCD in soil decreased accordingly with the distance from the pollution sources. In order to investigate the effect of the season on HBCD content, the soil samples were collected in all four seasons of the year 2017–2018. According to variations in the wind direction, the concentration of HBCD in soil was also changed. The distribution trend showed that the concentration of HBCD in soil in the downwind direction of the prevailing wind was higher than that in the upwind direction. In addition, this work analyzed the distribution of HBCD in vertical soil sections. It was found that the concentration of HBCD decreased with depth in the soil vertical profile. | 11 | Energy-level dependent H_2_O_2 production on metal-free,carbon-content tunable carbon nitride photocatalysts显示文摘Light-driven production of H_2O_2 from water and molecular oxygen could be a promising way for obtaining both solar fuels and fundamental chemicals. During that process, the H_2O_2 yield is strongly dependent on the reaction pathway associated with two-electron reduction of dioxygen by the photo-generated electrons. Herein, we synthesized a series of metal-free, carbon-content tunable carbon nitride photocatalysts(named C_3N_4-Carbon) by a facile hydrothermal reaction and subsequent thermal treatment at appropriate temperatures. The energy levels of the C_3N_4-Carbon catalysts vary with the carbon doping level, which is conveniently tuned by changing the initial glucose concentration during the hydrothermal reaction. The surface carbon species evolve with the carbon content and the nitrogen atoms in the structure of carbon nitride are partially substituted by foreign carbon atoms based on XPS measurements. The optimal catalyst leads to the highest H_2O_2 yield of 1271 μmol L^(-1) in an acidic aqueous solution(pH 3) after a reaction period of 4 h, twice higher than the pristine C_3N_4. In addition, the largest formation rate constant and the smallest decomposition rate constant of H_2O_2 are obtained on the optimal one according to the kinetics analyses. The decomposition tests of H_2O_2 indicate that the formation rate could be a dominant factor impacting the H_2O_2 yield. The conduction band position of the optimal catalyst is positively shifted to 0.06 V versus RHE, which is more favorable to the reduction of dioxygen to H_2O_2(O2/H_2O_2 at 0.69 V versus RHE). | 12 | TBM penetration rate prediction based on the long short-term memory neural network显示文摘Tunnel boring machines(TBMs)are widely used in tunnel engineering because of their safety and efficiency.The TBM penetration rate(PR)is crucial,as its real-time prediction can reflect the adaptation of a TBM under current geological conditions and assist the adjustment of operating parameters.In this study,deep learning technology is applied to TBM performance prediction,and a PR prediction model based on a long short-term memory(LSTM)neuron network is proposed.To verify the performance of the proposed model,the machine parameters,rock mass parameters,and geological survey data from the water conveyance tunnel of the Hangzhou Second Water Source project were collected to form a dataset.Furthermore,2313 excavation cycles were randomly composed of training datasets to train the LSTM-based model,and 257 excavation cycles were used as a testing dataset to test the performance.The root mean square error and the mean absolute error of the proposed model are 4.733 and 3.204,respectively.Compared with Recurrent neuron network(RNN)based model and traditional time-series prediction model autoregressive integrated moving average with explanation variables(ARIMAX),the overall performance on proposed model is better.Moreover,in the rapidly increasing period of the PR,the error of the LSTM-based model prediction curve is significantly smaller than those of the other two models.The prediction results indicate that the LSTM-based model proposed herein is relatively accurate,thereby providing guidance for the excavation process of TBMs and offering practical application value. | Boyang Gao RuiRui Wang Chunjin Lin Xu Guo Bin Liu Wengang Zhang | 2021 | Underground Space2021,6,6: | 4 |

| 15 | Effect of Gubi prescription on caveolin-1 expression and phosphoinositide 3 kinase/protein kinase B and Fas signal pathways in rats with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Gubi prescription on the expression of caveolin-1, and the phosphoinositide 3 kinase/protein kinase B(PI3 K/Akt) and Fas signal pathways in rats with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS: Forty KOA model rats were established using a modification of Hulth's method. Rats were divided into five groups by the random number method: model, positive drug(Vicolli group), and high-, medium-, and low-dose Gubi prescription groups(n = 8/group). In the sham surgery group(n = 8), only anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments of rats were exposed during surgery. A normal group(n = 8) consisted of rats with no treatment. Rats were intragastrically administered corresponding drugs once every day for eight consecutive weeks. Then, rat synovial membranes were extracted and histomorphological changes were recorded. m RNA expression was measured by q-PCR.Serum superoxide dismutase(SOD), malondialdehyde(MDA), nitric oxide(NO), and interleukin 1β(IL-1β) levels were measured. Western blotting determined the effects of Gubi prescription on protein expressions of caveolin-1, Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, and caspase-3 in chondrocytes from KOA rats. The knee cartilage of rats was excised and cultured under aseptic conditions. After coincubation of chondrocytes with Gubi prescription-containing serum, IL-1β, and si RNA, Western blotting was used to determine the protein expressions of caveolin-1, Bax, Bcl-2, Fas, and caspase-3.RESULTS: The morphological score of the articular synovium in the model group was significantly higher than in the normal group(P < 0.01). The morphological score in the high-and mediumdose Gubi prescription groups was lower than in the model group(P < 0.05). Chondrocytes from the decoction-containing serum group had a lower expression of Bax(P < 0.05), and higher expressions of Bcl-2(P < 0.05) and caspase-3(P < 0.05) compared with the model group. Chondrocytes in the decoction-containing serum group had higher expressions of Bax and Bcl-2(P < 0.01) and lower expressions of caveolin-1 and Fas(P < 0.05) compared with the model group. Compared with the model group, Bax and caspase-3 expressions were reduced in the chondrocytes of all three Gubi prescription groups(P < 0.05) whereas Bcl-2 expression was increased(P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, the expressions of caveolin-1 and Fas(P < 0.05) were reduced in groups that received high-and medium-doses of Gubi prescription. | 16 | Copy number alteration profiling facilitates differential diagnosis between ossifying fibroma and fibrous dysplasia of the jaws显示文摘Ossifying fibroma(OF)and fibrous dysplasia(FD)are two fibro-osseous lesions with overlapping clinicopathological features,making diagnosis challenging.In this study,we applied a whole-genome shallow sequencing approach to facilitate differential diagnosis via precise profiling of copy number alterations(CNAs)using minute amounts of DNA extracted from morphologically correlated microdissected tissue samples.Freshly frozen tissue specimens from OF(n=29)and FD(n=28)patients were obtained for analysis.Lesion fibrous tissues and surrounding normal tissues were obtained by laser capture microdissection(LCM),with~30–50 cells(5000–10000µm2)per sample.We found that the rate of recurrent CNAs in OF cases was much higher(44.8%,13 of 29)than that in FD cases(3.6%,1 of 28).Sixty-nine percent(9 of 13)of the CNA-containing OF cases involved segmental amplifications and deletions on Chrs 7 and 12.We also identified eight CNA-associated genes(HILPDA,CALD1,C1GALT1,MICALL2,PHF14,AIMP2,MDM2,and CDK4)with amplified expression,which was consistent with the copy number changes.We further confirmed a jaw lesion with a previous uncertain diagnosis due to its ambiguous morphological features and the absence of GNAS mutation as OF based on the typical Chr 12 amplification pattern in its CNA profile.Moreover,analysis of a set of longitudinal samples collected from an individual with a cellular lesion in suspicion of OF at the first surgery,recurrence and the latest malignant transformation revealed identical CNA patterns at the three time points,suggesting that copy number profiling can be used as an important tool to identify borderline lesions or lesions with malignant potential.Overall,CNA profiling of fibro-osseous lesions can greatly improve differential diagnosis between OF and FD and help predict disease progression. | Ming Ma Lu Liu Ruirui Shi Jianyun Zhang Xiaotian Li Xuefen Li Jiaying Bai Jianbin Wang Yanyi Huang Tiejun Li | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,2: | 3 |
| 17 | Particulate matter pollution in Kunshan High-Tech zone: Source apportionment with trace elements, plume evolution and its monitoring显示文摘Particulate matter(PM) in the Kunshan High-Tech zone is studied during a three-month campaign. PM and trace elements are measured by the online pollution monitoring, forecastwarning and source term retrieval system AS3. Hourly measured concentrations of PM_(10), PM_(2.5) and 16 trace elements in the PM_(2.5) section(Ca, Pb, Cu, Cl, V, Cr, Fe, Ti, Mn, Ni, Zn, Ga, As, Se, Sr, Ba)are focused. Source apportionment of trace elements by Positive Matrix Factorization modeling indicates that there are five major sources, including dust, industrial processing, traffic,combustion, and sea salt with contribution rate of 23.68%, 21.66%, 14.30%, 22.03%, and 6.89%,respectively. Prediction of plume dispersion from concrete plant and traffic emissions shows that PM_(10) pollution of concrete plant is three orders of magnitude more than that of the traffic. The influence range can extend to more than 3 km in 1 hr. Because the footprint of the industrial plumes is constantly moving according to the local meteorological conditions, the fixed monitoring sites scattered in a few hundred meters haven't captured the heaviest pollution plume at the local scale of a few km^2. As a more intensive monitoring network is not operationally possible, the use of online modeling gives accurate and quantitative information of plume location, which increases the spatial pollution monitoring capacity and improves the understanding of measurement data. | 20 | PVT1 affects ENIT and cell proliferation and migration via regulating p21 in triple-negative breast cancer cells cultured with mature adipogenic medium显示文摘Excessive adiposity has long been proved to be associated with greater incidence and mortality of breast cancer in post-menopausal women.However,the effects and underlying mechanisms of human adipocytes on breast cancer cells remain largely unknown.In recent years,several reports have revealed the oncogenic role of long non-coding RNA PVT1 in breast cancer.Here,we aimed to investigate the role and underlying mechanisms of PVT1 in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC)cells cultured with mature adipogenic medium.At first,we successfully induced adipogenic differentiation from human adipose-derived mesenchymal stern cells and collected the mature adipogenic medium to mimic excessive adiposity.Our results demonstrated that the mature adipogenic medium promoted the epithelial-mesenchymal transition,enhanced the cell viability and migration potential of TNBC cells.In addition,we proved that mature adipogenic medium affected the PVT1 expression and inhibition of the PVT1 disturbed the role of mature adipogenic medium in TNBC cells.Finally,we illustrated that repression of p21 restored the phenotype caused by PVT1 knockdown in TNBC cells treated with mature adipogenic medium.Taken together,our results demonstrated that PVT1 affected the role of mature adipogenic medium in TNBC cells via modulating p21 expression. | Lingli Wang Ruirui Wang Zi Ye Yanyan Wang Xiao Li Weizhen Chen Mengna Zhang Cheguo Cai | 2018 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,12: | 2 |
